My my wife and I are here for the state wrestling tournament. We were looking for a good steak house and found this one on Yelp. I noticed there were no reviews for quite some time but decided to try it anyway. I ordered the ribs and my wife had the rib eye steak. I'm a huge fan of baby back ribs but am very critical about when they're done right or wrong. much to my delight the ribs were fall off the bone good. The barbecue sauce that they used was homemade and made with moonshine. I was somewhat skeptical but once again was happy to find out how good it was. I ordered a half rack of ribs which was plenty of food. I also had the sheep herder as a side which is hash browns mixed with some corn and onions. That was just okay I would have probably gone with french fries but needed to try something that I had never tried before. Don't get me wrong they weren't bad it just wasn't what I was expecting. My wife's ribeye was cooked just the way she liked it and was plenty of food for her. She had the baked potato with it which was the only option that came with it, but it was a good size and we even brought a little bit of it home as well. Also my wife didn't ask for the loaded baked potato but they gave that to her anyway, which was nice. The wait staff was super helpful and made recommendations based on things that she herself would eat. She recommended the ribs to me and I'll tell you what I sure didn't go wrong with that decision. The only downside for me is that this is the last year we'll be coming to the state tournament so we won't be able to eat here again, given that we live on the other side of the state. Wish they had a green triangle in Boise or Nampa.

Breakfast review: we were served water with a plastic Dixie butter lid in the glass. Which makes me think they're scooping the glass into the ice bin to fill up the glass with ice. Ice is able to chip glass when you do this, and you end up swallowing glass chips in your drink. They don't season the streak before they cook it, very bland. Steak came out well done when ordered medium rare. Scrambled eggs are the worst in town, honestly, very bland and all white. I'm more impressed they messed up scrambled eggs. Seemed like it was the left over egg mix that was used with the French toast order. Overall, quality control is very low here and will go somewhere else for breakfast.

Had the Tuesday special chicken fried steak sandwich. Food was decent. Service and pricing was average. If you go eat a burger ,that what everybody was eating but myself. Will definitely be back to try 1

They charge $2.50 for soda water and don't warn you, which never feels good unless it's in a bottle. I ordered a rare steak and got a medium rare despite the fact they literally define what rare is on the menu - however, it was so delicious I didn't send it back, but I would have really liked to get what I ordered all the same. The salad is not served in dog dishes contrary to a previous review, but replicas of a very very old style of bowl used by pioneers (we used to have to actually hold our bowls around a fire so the extended lips allow for that without burning your fingers, bowls didn't just sit on tables like today). This is not a place to miss while in town.

Just had dinner here a few hours ago. From the reviews I was exited all week, looking forward to Thursday for the special.... Steak, NY, Ribeye, or T-bone... It is now $12.95. It would have been ok except it had NO FLAVOR whatsoever! The meat was tasteless and the toast tasted funky! We ordered side salads, I think they where the only thing I enjoyed except.... Get this, they where served out of the same kind of bowls I serve my dogs from! Yes, you read it correct, the salad is served in a DOG bowl! I promise to never come back because even the service was bad, I had to ask for my drink to be filled and I waited at least 7 min to find someone to even be willing to fill it. I sure hope there are better steak places in Pocatello because this is just a sad excuse of a place, save yourself time, energy, and maybe some money and go somewhere else, if not you'll remember this review and will listen to my words of caution a little better next time. Now hurry chose another place and stop waiting time.

A friend of mine and I decided to try this place out, since both of us drive past it just about every day. We were greeted by friendly service that told us to sit anywhere we liked, so we took our seats next to the life-size plastic horse, in front of a big-screen projection TV from the mid-90s, and ordered our drinks. The waitress read us the specials, and we decided to go with the two prime rib dinner deal for $24.99. Our meal was fantastic! My prime rib was served rare with bacon-wrapped shrimp in a garlic butter sauce, a MOUNTAIN of tater tots, au jus, and horseradish. Our meals were so huge, neither of us managed to finish everything. Highly recommeded! I've now visited twice, and the food was just as good the second time!

Decor: much more unique than any Applebee's shit-on-the-wall motif. Location: close to a mall and other restaurants off of a main highway. Menu: good draft selection, variety of steak choices, and other standard traditional American fare. Service: very good (we ate here at 7:30 on Thursday); loved the down-home friendliness. Steak: the New York strip needed seasoning (not the world's best cut). Sides: the house salad was imaginative and the loaded baked potato was pretty good.

Anyplace that refers to itself as a "Roadhouse" at any time in its operating history is going to be a dead ringer for an awesome meal. The Green Triangle (T) is a roadside restaurant in Pocatello that has in big letters that they serve steak and prime rib. Really what else does a man need other than steak and prime rib? I saw this and I was roped in pretty quickly. Its a rugged place to dine. Who needs a paved parking lot when you're parking your Super Duty pickups and rusty old Fords? When we live in a country that has given us so much Americana, why not cover the walls of a restaurant in it? And where there's room between the old signs, be sure to hang a neon booze sign. There's a full size horse statue in the restaurant's dining room, there's also an ISU themed bear (aren't they the Bobcats?), and a list of all the famous people that have dined in the restaurant. Seriously this list was full of awesome people. I ate at a restaurant where Old Waylon, Jerry Jeff and Alan Jackson dined. How no one has written a country sound about the Green Triangle specifically is beyond me. I might write one after I'm done with this review. But enough about how excited I was to eat here before even getting food... It was Thursday night and it was Steak Night! Not like they don't already serve it daily, but on Thursday its the main focus. You could choose from a T-Bone, Rib-Eye and a 3rd cut I can't remember. This came with a baked potato and Texas toast all for 10.49 (or 10.99?). Granted its not the best cut of the three but it was the biggest, so I chose the T-Bone Steak. I ordered it medium. It was a mean 16 ounce steak. The cut was a little tough but it was cooked just right. Not too dry, no steak sauce needed to cloud the flavor of the meat. I ordered the potato loaded and it came with cheese, bacon and chives with sour cream and butter on the side. The Texas Toast was thick and buttery and I wish I had a second slice of it. I washed it all down with some cold brewed unsweetened Iced Tea. They did have Sweet Tea available. This was some premium priced Iced Tea, at $2.89 but I'll let it slide because of the value of the actual meal. The service was good. When you walk in the door some woman yelled out for me to seat myself and called me "honey." I like the freedom to choose where I sit at my own pace. I picked the seat by the horse statue of course. The waitress took good care of me and kept my tea full. The waitresses are a little surly in the attitude department but I feel that it adds to the charm of the place. If I wanted a boring not memorable waitress I'd go to Chili's. Seriously this place is awesome. I think if you had one meal to eat in ole Pokey (Pocatello) I would say you MUST eat it at the Green Triangle. This place is by far the most unique meal I've eaten in my few days in town. And be sure you don't touch the horse statue!
