So, I thought I'd take the time to point out some clues of knowing you've happened upon legitimate Oriental cuisine. 1. Everyone working in the spot is of Asian descent 2. There's underage offspring working, going back and forth between playing on their iPad/iPod and bussing/hosting/etc. 3. There are doilies on something. This place is all of the above. Try the sweet potato curry. Also, they don't play around with spicy... You ask for "spicy" you get SPICY. I asked for extra veggies and they threw the whole produce section in. It was a nice surprise for Pocatello!

The curries are pretty good and very large. The prices are reasonable. However, the service isn't the best. The waitress never asked if we wanted to order drinks, nearly forgot to take the order of my wife until she was reminded as she started to walk away, and took quite a long time to provide the check and get the dishes. However Tthe waitress was friendly, and our drinks (water) were attended to by a polite young girl. Try the autumn curry. When it was first set down to the table, I was a little worried because it smelled so sweet I thought it would be almost desert - like. It was very flavorful and ended up being my party's favorite dish overall.

We went here with a group of five friends & we all ordered different menu items. The food was exceptionally good and We were all beyond happy with what we had ordered. Not only the food tasted great but also the portions are huge and we all took leftovers home. We are all definitely coming back here!

The BEST Thai food I have ever had (and I have tried a lot!) !! And they are very allergen conscious. I come into town every so often and go to the restaurant as many times as I can in a short period of time! The food always comes out piping hot, and quickly too! You won't regret going to this place!

I know there are different varieties of Pho but this was poorly executed meal. I Had to ask for hoisen sauce saracha sauce and chopsticks. I ordered the p5 the tripe was cut into big thick chunks was not chewy it was like it was over cooked same with most of the meat in the dish. I have been to many pho restaurants this one was lowest on the pole. I did not even finish my meal. Then the price was more than any other pho restaurant I have been to $13 for the large. I have asked people if they like or have had pho before. When they tell me that they don't like pho it baffles me I know now why. If I had eaten here first I would have had the same opinion.

5 stars for the food -- 3 stars for the service Order the Pad Kee Mao (commonly known as Drunken Noodles in other restaurants) -- it had so much flavor! Anytime I go to a new Thai restaurant, I order this dish to compare one place from another. Thai Paradise has one of the best versions I've had to date. Pad Kee Mao -- so good! - 1 star (it's already spicy, so 1 star is the max I'd recommend) - chicken for the meat Service: Food seemed to take a long time to come out, even though there were only 3 other tables with patrons. Took a long time to refill beverages. Overall, I will keep coming back to this place for the food. My dish had amazing flavor and all ingredients appeared to be very fresh. You could tell a lot of effort went into the dish, which made up for the less than great service.

Yummy!! Pork wonton are amazing. Noodles and stir fry were very good. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered something different I was delicious. Don't afraid to place the food delicious the service was good and the place was clean. Come on pocatello let's support this place so we don't lose another good restaurant.

Good food, good service, kid friendly and gluten free options. Their curry is super spicy, seriously. We ordered a 2, heat wise, and it was plenty hot. Apparently a lot of people don't head the server's warning and order it too spicy and complain they cannot eat it.

Everything was tasty and relatively authentic. My family thought the food was sweeter then we would expect but I think that comes with the area it is in. All the portions were huge, we couldn't even finish one dish. We tried both the Pho and Thai dishes, both were very good. Hit the spot for craveing asian food.

Staying at a hotel in Pocatello, dying for Thai. I drove a good 15 minutes to get my to go order, drove all the way back... No utensils! WHO gives someone a TO GO order with no utensils?! Needless to say... I didn't even get a fortune cookie. $15 for an entree and drink... I deserve a cookie and utensils. Pad Thai wasn't anything to tell about. *cookie comment is more of a joke. That's not what I summed up the experience from, I promise. Maybe if dining in... I would get friendly, full service.

The food is always good and would rate higher stars but having a sullen prepudesent teen acting as hostess/waitress is extremely annoying. You enter and wait to be seated. She picks up the menus, doesn't say a thing and walks to the table, lays down the menus and walks away. I watched other guests be treated the same and the look on their faces told the same story. We were the first in right at opening and she attempts to seat us at the table closest to the kitchen. Again not even looking at us I practically had to tackle her to ask to be seated else where, which ended up being one table away. Mom does the heavy lifting in the serving, and she is quite good, how she manages I don't know. But she needs to do some training of the help.Valentines night, and at least 2 dozen tables and she and miss manners are the only front end staff. Our teen hostess brings the bill never asking if we wanted desert. It was a special occasion and I love Thai deserts, we went to Cold Stone and spent another $10. Someone needs to learn the value of up selling, a direct result is a bigger tip even if you never speak to your customers.

I like this place, but when your fresh rolls come out still wrapped in plastic it's a sure sign they were not made when your ordered them. I also wish they offered a tofu pho.

I think that the Thai food is really good and the ambiance is nice for Pocatello. SO many times, restaurants are afraid of "spice," calling 2.5-star heat 4 stars..not here. In fact, they do spice right here-- a 4 star heat will make you sweat without burning your mouth. Awesome if you like that kind of thing. I would agree that the service was not very good but that may be variable, and perhaps relegated to one or two bad waitresses. That said, the owners came out to meet us and seem like wonderful people. If you have the time, I'd recommend giving it a try.

This place started off mediocre and quickly slid down to terrible. If I could give it negative stars, I would. The biggest problem is the service. It's unacceptably slow, and this does not vary depending on how many tables are dining. I say the service is the biggest problem, and that is after my girlfriend found a bug in her salad roll on our last (and final) visit. The wait staff didn't seemed concerned with this revelation. There was no apology, no offer for compensation, nothing. Perhaps having a front of the house manager would help! I've never seen one and have dined here many times. The bug was undoubtedly gross, but before discovering the intruder, we were complaining to each other about the bitter taste of the salad roll. It tasted like the bean sprouts had gone bad. Maybe that's what killed that bug. The food here is rather lackluster. The curries are far too viscous, and lack any depth of flavor. The rice is frequently dried out. I have received a comically small order of chicken satay. I frequently hear people say "it's pretty good, for Pocatello." Well, even for a town with plenty of bad servers bringing poor quality food that is over priced and under seasoned, this place is bad. Bad bad bad. Bad, even for Pocatello. If you can boil rice, I advise trying to learn to cook your own Thai food. Odds are you will learn to do it well before Thai Paradise does.

I have been here about 4 times during this places life in pocatello and I won't be back. The last time I was there it was dismal...slow, no refill on my water, and when I asked the server the difference in the kinds of curry, he didn't know, saying-"they have different spices. I can bring you the list of ingredients." The owner did come to our (large) group at the end and made me like the experience a bit more as he seemed lovely, but I will not be back. The food wasn't good any of the times I have gone. Looking for Thai, drive the 45 minutes to Lava (and check out the hot springs or the pool while you are there).

New Owners! If your looking for a great Thai food with historical beautiful building, this is the place. The new owner from Thailand took over around July and brought her authentic cooking to Pocatello. You won't be disappointed.

It will take me a while before I'll be coming back. I've been two or three times. I can't remember. The food just lacks flavor for me and I've had my share of awesome thai food. The prices are pretty high (like most thai places) for the quality. EDIT: thai kitchen has opened up in northern poky. it's much better!

So back in Pocatello after being away for a long time. Stopped at the Thai Paradise because we love Pho. Tired the wonton racoon ~ I have never had anything that bad.....they were shaped like a turnover so large they were impossible to enjoy...and there was nothing in them......and they got the order wrong.....we ordered Red Curry and got Red Curry with Bamboo shouts.....not recommended........

I wasn't a fan when they first opened. The portions were small, and I actually found the heat levels below my standards for Thai even when I asked them to up it. The prices for the amount of food were pretty steep, so I quit going. I just revisited under the new management, and was quite pleased. I tried one of their specials, Harvest Curry, which is root vegetable based, and ordered it hot. It was very tasty, hearty portioned, and reasonably priced. I will be back.

Slow service for very mediocre food. The place wasn't even busy. Took us 2 hours to eat. Not once did they offer to fill a water glass or get me another beer.

Ok Thai food but not outstanding. I tried the ginger noodles, pad kee Mao, pad thai, red curry, and beef with broccoli, arranged in order of decreasing opinion with the ginger noodle dish being the best. The owner is super nice. Although not exceptional, I think this is the best Thai in Pocatello.

I love the evil jungle paradise dish. The menu doesn't always correspond with 100% accuracy to what you are served (e.g., the menu may advertise a dish featuring fried tofu but serve a dish featuring soft tofu, etc.), but anything I've ordered has always been great.

This place has the best thai food and Pho in town. The Sweet Rice with Mango and the Hor Mok Talay (seafood curry) is my favorite.
