Excellent, authentic Chinese food. They'll prepare it to you're taste, but don't be afraid to go a little hot; they do it well. Their preparation is good and their ingredients are fresh. They don't skimp on portions. Try the shrimp in black bean sauce. Expect the service to be fast, courteous, and the food to come out hot and exactly as you ordered it. The take-out service is just as good. This is a go-to place if you want an alternative to pizza night in

My fellow yelpers, it seems that no one has taken the time to update is on the enigma that is the chopstick café since 2012. As a recent transplant to the area I was excited to hear that old town had a Chinese restaurant I had yet to try so over the past month I stopped by a few times to properly formulate an opinion. My opinion is that this restaurant is a solid 3. The food is by no means life changing but it is decent Chinese fare. Some times the balance of acidity vs sweetness is a little off in some of their sweet and sour dishes but for the most part the food is pretty tasty and the prices are reasonable. Service has been hit or miss. I've ordered takeout a few times and sometimes it's been ready right when they say it will be but the last few times I've ended up waiting in the restaurant for an extra 35 minutes waiting. All in all not a bad little place

The dishes here are taste clean and light. No hardcore MSG. I've never had a post-Chinese food stomachache. I finish my plate feeling satisfied and ready to take on the rest of my day. I'm beginning to eat at this joint almost weekly. My only complaint is confusion when ordering and picking up--however it is due to a slight language barrier. Also, they use Styrofoam to go boxes. I recommend ordering the sesame chicken; it's top hat. And the ham fried rice is super.

Great food and fast service. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Our drinks never had a chance to be empty and we were checked on several times. Staff was also helpful in explaining what different items on the menu were, portion sizes etc. A lot of fried things on the menu, especially on the family dinner menu. I'd love to see more items with veggies. Their moo goo gai pan is great though, as is their sweet & sour pork and chicken. I'm not usually a fan of fried shrimp, but the jumbo fried shrimp were awesome!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
