Your staff needs to listen to the customer and prepare the food the way the customer asks. If you ignore your customers and just do whatever you want to do that is a good way to lose business. When I asked for toasted well and you give me not toasted at all that's not the way I ordered it and that's not the way I want it. So next time I want a bagel I will go to another shop that knows how to use a toaster. The bagels are good 4 stars for the food, but when you hire 12 year olds who do not listen to the customer that's not good for business.

My favorite summer Saturday morning requires a sunflower toasted with veggie cc. Coffee, homemade bagels, comfortable surroundings, breakfast sandwiches or more...

Amazing breakfast bagels. Stopped here on the way to coeur d'alene for thanksgiving. Happy we found this little breakfast gem. We will have to try the lunch bagel on another trip.

This place was awesome. The cheddar jalapeño bagel and smear were really good. Staff was great, when we couldn't decide on which cream cheese, they allowed us to put two different ones on each bagel. When in Pocatello...go here!

This place continues to provide solid bagels with average to below-average sandwiches. The atmosphere is clean and colorful but "east-Idaho" odd. It has for many years been consistently used by patrons to prosthelytize; obnoxious as hell (pun intended) during morning coffee. On a recent visit it I observe that it has devolved into a make-shift daycare. Children approach customers quizzing them about their relationship to the owner/manager and having unrestricted access to the kitchen and food prep area. If you're a doting grandparent or a missionary this is your place.

Driving cross country and jonesing for a bagel, I got on Yelp and found this place. We stopped in for a late lunch. Bagels were great! Bagel sandwiches were fantastic and the staff was helpful. What a great find!

Yum!! What a fun find and GREAT bagels. They were chewy, with a soft interior and fresh as can be. We loved the honey nut schmear and the orange cranberry bangle with almond apricot schmear is fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the funky decor is lot of fun. When in Pocatello again, we'll definitely return.

5th street has the best Turkey Club in town, especially when it's on their Jalapeño and Cheese bagel. Always love to walk their from campus, not too expensive and always fast! LOVE the Deja Voodoo, it's even better iced! Staff is always friendly and makes enjoyable conversation with everyone who visits.

When locals recommend Starbucks as the place to get a good cup of coffee, KINDLY IGNORE THEM AND GO HERE INSTEAD. Trust me, this place is awesome!!! I was a bit discouraged by this town after my short visit yielded nothing but interactions with rude people, "fresh" moldy produce and a mall with nothing but a Herberger's and a JCPenny, but the awesome customer service and the tasty 3 little pigs bagel i ordered (sorry, I ate it before I even thought to snap a pic of it but it was beautiful) at 5th Street Bagelry definitely turned things around. They had several delicious options on their menu as far as bagels and other breakfast items. After much pondering of their drink menu (which had several intriguing concoctions such as the cinnamon toast latte) I decided to go with my default drink and ordered their house chai. It was far from disappointing. In conclusion, this place is badass and I'd probably spend all my time eating bagels and drinking cinnamon toast lattes on their comfy couches if I ever had to spend an extended amount of time in Pocatello.

I agree with the reviewer below--Derick is the reason I keep coming back (and I like the food, but service is high up on my list, and Derick does it for me). They are a bit pricy, but it is consistently good (other than the time I didn't get much shmear) I like that I can switch up the veggie sandwich with whatever I want. Try it with the cranberry bagel. Parking is a bit wonky, but nothing to write home about (or put in a review:-).

Ordered the lox bagel and it was great. Pricey though for what it was. Nice places to sit inside as well. The parking lot is TINY.

Wild caught Alaskan salmon on the lox bagel! Awesome! Great local place! A local guy we met said "ten stars! I take everyone from out of town there."

Okay, so I have been to this place several times. I have managed to get great service everytime that I come in. Seem like the same guy has helped me everytime but one. Funny enough the one time he didn't help me my order came out wrong. Derick, you are the reason I keep coming back becasue you always smile and make me feel like I am the most important customer in the store no matter how many people are in line. The atmosphere in the bagel shop has a cozy comfy feel. In a previous rating about this shop that I have now deleted my main gripe was the higher than expected pricesand not a great deal of parking. I have come to realize that I am willing to pay a little more for great service specially if I am getting a sunny smile and made to feel welcome, Once again Derick has given me great customer service with a smile no matter how early it may be. Thank you.

This week I had lunch here for the first time in over a year after moving out of Pocatello. When I was going to ISU, I would eat at the Bagelry at least once a week. I love the food-- however, a year ago this would have been a 2 star review based on service. All the employees just seemed genuinely unhappy to be there. Wow, something has changed. The service I received this week was excellent. The employees were smiling and were very helpful. Here's a couple of tips: 1. Get the adobo club, the chipotle mayo is super tasty. 2. I've had a couple of vegetarian friends complain about eating here because it's too hard to figure out if the soup/salads have meat in them. Be sure to ask.

nice bagel, (but no pumpernickel!), and there seems to be something missing, but I can't quite put my finger on it! Sorry!

One of the best chicken salad sandwiches I have had anywhere...super friendly staff...loses stars though because almost $7 for just a sandwich with no extras seems really high...especially for this area.

Great toasted sandwich bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The best no bake peanut butter cookies. Great Internet access, I put my netbook and by Droid on it and it's secure. They make great coffee and they try new stuff all the time. If your into a particular type of coffee just ask and they will help you choose. They have daily specials with a sandwich, good soup, chips or salad and a drink. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Laid back place and a warm fireplace during the winter. I recommend the Blue-cheese bagel for sandwiches.

Very tasty bagel in sandwich and more traditional forms. Next to the university and frequented by the college crowd. Expect java sipping and students studying. Pleasant eclectic vibe. Haven't had any bad food there yet. A lunch-time favorite even for those well past their college days. Parking can be tight thanks to the popularity of this joint.

The bagels are okay, the coffee is okay, and the baked goods are often a let down. The big problem with this place is it is SO EXPENSIVE!!! I can't afford to go there.

Best bagels ever! There is nothing about this place I don't love. I pretty much went broke eating here when I lived in Pocatello. Whenever I go back this is my first stop!

I'm surprised that peoples are willing to pay $2+ for a peanut butter/honey bagel right here. I don't think there's anything special about their bagels. Prolly because they are the only shop in town that specialized in bagels that's it.

Went to this place this morning. This is probably the worse bagel I've every had. You're better off going to Albertson's grocery store and buying fresh bagels from the deli or buying a bag from the bread section. We had 2 everything bagels with garlic/herb spread and chive. Also have had blueberry with strawberry spread earlier. All of it was awful. On top of that the bagel girl behind the counter was incredibly rude. She seemed more interested in flirting and had the nerve to ask me rather loudly if I paid for my bagel. Of course I did shorty ! I typically overlook service if the food is worth it. But in this case the bagels are not worth it and neither was the service. Seriously, Albertson's deli is better and cheaper !

I love this place! When I lived in Pocatello it was a weekly stop for me. Now I just have to beg my husband to stop here on our way through. The food is great...the atmosphere is great...did I mention the food is great!? Only complaint is that they seem to be getting a little pricey. But still worth every cent!

The food is excellent, prices seem a bit high for what you get, and everytime I went in, the service was awful. I was treated poorly by the woman who served me. It seems the higher up in management the more "crabby" they were. I dunno, if you want a bagel with a variety of options, check this place out. But if getting treated like a human being is important to you, avoid it.
