~Pleasant servers~ ~Great chips~ ~Good beer~ ~Nice menu variety~ **Cold food** We keep giving this restaurant more chances, but it doesn't look like things are going to change. Three times now, the hot food has been served luke-warm, and on cold plates. The result is by the time it gets to your table and you take a few bites... you're eating less than pleasant cold food. Cold meatloaf in a sandwich = good Cold meatloaf served as a main course w/cold mashed potatoes = BAD They do have some small heatlamps, but have been told food is delivered so quickly, they don't have to sit under the heatlamps (I agree that food is served fast). This leaves it to two other possibilities. One - they're serving food on cold plates, or Two - they serving food on cold plates AND they're not holding food at proper temps.... Eeeek! Let's hope it's not the latter of the two.

Great food and service. Beer selection is wide if average. Less micro brews than I thought for idaho but there it is. Cool place. Check it out.

Very surprised at how nice this place is. I expected a sports bar but this is actually a pretty great little restaurant. The service is AWESOME. I met a friend here for dinner on a Saturday night - had a drink at the bar (sunken in the middle of the restaurant, very cool) while I was waiting. Tried the italian lemon drop - not my favorite, but that's just me, it was too sweet. Moved to a table for dinner and had a salad and the mahi mahi fish tacos, both of which I loved. I am definitely looking forward to going back here, my husband will love it.

The food is okay at best. The service however leaves something to be desired. I have been there a few times and almost every time I have to stop else to get my server so I can get my check after waiting for about 20 minutes after my meal. During the meal the server is hardly seen as well. The only good thing are the $3 mimosas and bloody Mary's on the weekends.

The Good: Nice sports bar, super clean and modern. They have booths with private tvs and good visibility of the larger big screens. They make their own potato chips. The Bad: I ate with a party of 11 and everyone was unimpressed at best by their food. I however, had the worst pizza I have ever had. I felt like I should have a given my server a medal. The menu advertises brick oven pizza. It's a Cysco Brand frozen pizza with extra cheese. Also, I am pretty sure mine was microwaved and I am 100% sure it was not cooked in a brick oven. When I complained the server just took my pizza and still charged us for the pizza I had taken one slice from. This is a restaurant being run by people with money but no experience in the food business. Conclusion: If you want a place to drink and watch the game, go right ahead. If you want to eat something, you might want to consider packing a lunch.

Abysmal. The surly hostess blatantly sneered us and then within earshot challenged the servers to get a tip out of us. When we asked about vegetarian options, the server was clueless, but she did say we could skip meat on any salad "but it wouldn't be any cheaper." I have rarely encountered such rude people. What is going on with your staff there? This is a beautiful restaurant, but, Boise people, avoid it at all costs.

Great chill sports bar. Plenty of games on, and speakers at the table. The reuben was great.

Great place to catch something to eat for lunch. The menu is diverse and you can find pretty much anything. The home made potato chips, well they are awesome! Looks like a good place to watch a game and have a cold beer.

Had the Reuben, do not try this. Nasty!!! Dried Rye, crunchy Corned Beef and some unusual sauce. I would not try this again. I did appreciate the homemade chips up front but would be better with a dipping sauce. The sweet potato fries need a unique dipping sauce as well. Served plain on the plate isn't the way to go. I have been here a couple of times, had a burger before. Seems the route to go, however this night was not that good.

Awesome food! For being a sports bar they do a great job with Sunday brunch.. They need some work with their service though. The lady we had may of been having a bad day, but it took way to long for food and service.

This place is okay. I ordered the Alaskan Salmon Filet and it wasn't bad, but also not the best. It was a little dry. Overall this place is average.

The golden gloves lunch is awesome. You get to choose 3, not 2 items; a salad, half sandwich, and a side. Good portion. Lots of large screen tvs to keep an eye on sports while eating. Good service. Waffle fries were perfect, crispy and hot! Go there regularly.

Great place to catch a game and comfortable booths. The food is sub par at best. The app platter is what you would find anywhere else. The chips are a nice touch to munch on while drinking an ice cold beer. There was a weird energy with the service staff. It's hard to put my finger on it, but there was a tenseness that fill the air. I overheard a server at her station tell her boyfriend how much she didn't make tonight, oh and the bf was camped out for an hour by himself, taking up a booth. The bartender was the bright and shining light of it all. She was on top of it and very refined and friendly. Might come back for a beer and a game, but doubt it.

Good: spacious, nice decor, large tables and booths, HD TVs for the games. Cheese burger comparable to any other place. Not really a "good" this was my first timers there so I ordered staple food. Bad: staff needs more training ( more like supervision). Staff did not great me at the door. I had to find my party. Waiter did not seem to know what they were doing. Very poor service. Suggestion: Don't go.

The service at this place seems to be going down faster than the Titanic. This restaurant is close to our home and we have visited many times, I would say most visits are average when referencing the service or the food but we like the building. The last two times have been a different story. Prior to last night the time before we went we ordered our food and did not get any condiments and parts of the meal were missing , and our drinks were never refilled. But what I'm really here to talk about is my visit last night, it was a picture perfect bad visit. When we entered the restaurant there was no hostess at the station but after a few minutes she showed up and promptly seated us. After a while the waitress showed up seem nice took our drink order but couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. Fast forward a while and the hostess is asking asking if we seen our waitress yet because we still don't have our drinks. We told her yes and continue to wait and our drinks came. We finally ordered our food and the waitress said she would get me a refill of my soda and took my wife's water glass to get her a refill. Our dinner came she ordered a pizza and I order the finger steaks I asked for basic condiments and they never did come also let me remind you all but still we are without drinks. My wife's pizza came on the pizza tray with a spatula but was not offered a plate. We asked for red peppers and asked about our drinks and she said that she would go and get them. I will just go to the end, my wife never did get a plate, she never did get a drink, we didn't get the red peppers and tell after we had boxed up the pizza, and I never did get my condiments. The finger steaks at this establishment are nothing more then highly breaded slivers of meat. Oh and I better not forget to mention that at least one third of my finger steaks were chicken. I've seen that the manager often answers to win people post negative reviews, I don't know my table number or my receipt number but if you'd like to Mr manager feel free to look for my receipt it's got a note written on the back of it saying some of what I just said. I challenge you to watch the security tape and argue any point that I just made. Needless to say I doubt wild horses could drag me back into this restaurant

It's a really cool place. I didn't know about it at first until my step niece told me about it. It's not a chain, but it looks like one. Love the huge projected screens and they even have a few booths with personal tvs. they hedge great beer and their burgers are.....freaking delicious! You can't say no to their bacon burger !

Sometimes it's just bad timing and not really anyone's fault for an experience. I think that's what happened at our visit several weeks ago at Pinnacle. We didn't plan on going there, but our other two options were closed. That Thursday night was super busy. Most if not all of the restaurant was reserved for the U.S.A women's soccer team against Colombia in the World Cup. Our server was friendly among the craziness and the order did not take long. We started with some boneless wings. They were more like gigantic chicken strips. The sauces chosen were spicy garlic and Korean BBQ. Both flavors were odd in texture and flavor. We couldn't quite figure it out but the sauces were not something that you positively remember weeks later. The most disappointing part of that were the sides of ranch and bleu cheese. They were both extremely watered down. If Lighthouse Chunky Bleu cheese is on the chunk side of the dressing, Pinnacles' version of Bleu cheese would be at the other end of the spectrum. Dressings should not drip like a leaky faucet. I ordered the Calzone, the other members of the dinning party ordered a burger, fried shrimp dinner and chicken breast sandwich. The only stand out was the Calzone. It could have been because of this girth. It was huge. Matter of fact i was only able to eat half of it. The dough was good and it was apparent that the Calzone was hand constructed but it was missing something. Not sure if was the red pepper flakes or more oregano but it didn't stand out because of its flavor profile. Overall, this summed up our visits. Good, sure, but with all the possibilities of spices and flavors, it was like someone decided, " Keep it simple, our customers like it bland " Maybe I'm spoiled. Maybe it was an off night but if I'm looking for a short drive and good beers with plenty of TVs then I'll come back but I'll make other plans for dinner.

Great place, great atmosphere...my food was great. However, my roommate ordered the salmon and he absolutely HATED it! He said he the taste of it was not of salmon, but instead of freezer burn. He was 100% disgusted with it. He complained to the girl in a nice way at the end of supper and honestly, she was sweet, but she really didn't seem to care that he was very dissatisfied. I had a pizza and some garlic toast and it wasn't the best in the world, but it was great...if that makes any sense lol. Ive had their burgers there before and they are AMAZING! Just don't get the salmon and expect something amazing! its not! and it hardly came with any veggies.

If you are looking for great, high-quality in-house made food and fair prices this is your place. I think the name of the restaurant may be somewhat deceiving because the food is not just sports bar/grill quality this is a full service restaurant that happens to have a sports bar them. Individual flat-screen TVs at most of the tables are a cool extra. When I think of a sports bar or grill I think of mediocre food at best. The Pinnacle is far from mediocre! Some of my review may seem over the top but I was really, really impressed with so many components of our experience because the food, atmosphere and service stood out above many other restaurants in our area. We started our meal with side salads. Different from other places, the lettuce and other veggies were very fresh, cold, crisp and colorful. So often a simple salad is wilted, slightly chilled with brown spots etc. Not so, here. Their salad dressings were also made in house and tasted great. For our entree I tried the Kobe beef meatloaf and my girlfriend tried the finger steaks. I'm a fan of comfort/home style food and the meatloaf which was a perfect choice. The flavor and seasoning was perfect and skillfully prepared leaving it moist and tasty. This isn't just your Mom's meatloaf! My girlfriend had the finger steaks and was very impressed. She's especially particular about the quality of meat and strongly dislikes fatty and gristly meat. The believe the finger steak meat is from a NY steak and the meat was very, very tender and without fat or gristle and seasoned well too. This was the first time we ate at the Pinnacle. JT was our server and was very attentive and friendly and answered our many questions and was very knowledgeable about the entrees and food on the menu. Their soups, desserts and sauces are all made fresh! We will definitely be going back and look forward to trying something different on their menu.

Came here after church on Sunday, arriving before the lunch rush so the place was pretty quiet. Was seated immediately and order was taken pretty quickly. Wait for food seemed a little lengthy considering what we ordered. Waiter was friendly and fairly attentive. However the actual food, which is what we came for, right? Was so disappointing I honestly am not sure I will go back. Ordered the Huckleberry Salmon Salad. Sounded AMAZING!!!! Candied walnuts, sliced pears, dried cranberries, bleu cheese crumbles, huckleberry vinaigrette. Sounds mouth watering right?!?! Well . . . What arrived was a plate of romaine lettuce, with a very small piece of very dry salmon. Toppings?? At first I thought they forgot them, but upon digging around I found they were all at the bottom of the plate. Pears: four thin slices. Really??? Probably the equivalent of 1/15th of a pear. Dressing: Thank goodness I asked to have it on the side. It was like syrup it was so sweet. Totally disappointing. :( Ordered a grilled cheese with curly fries for the kids. Meh . . . Best part of their meal was the free ice cream dessert. Definitely not high on the priority list to revisit again anytime soon.

Disappointing experience all around. My family likes to go to Pinnacle often because they have a really cool building - high ceilings, nice big booths, and televisions which are great to watch the various sports games that are on. They also have decent beer offerings on tap and the complimentary housemade chips are tasty. In general, I would give Pinnacle a 3 star rating, as they are pretty average all around in regards to service and food. However, when we went in on a Saturday before the holidays, we decided it would be our last visit. To start off, the restaurant was completely empty. This is important to keep in mind, because in theory, a restaurant that serves breakfast should probably have a fair amount of people at 10-10:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Many places have waits to get in and once we encountered the hostess, I could see many people opting to just leave. The hostess greeted us and we asked if we could seat ourselves in a booth since it was empty but she insisted on seating us. We wanted to sit in a booth by the bar and generally like to sit in the center one facing the tvs (as mentioned, we have previously been regulars here). She tried to seat us one over from the center booth. Literally right next to it. I don't know why it was so important for us to sit in the other booth when there was no one else there...I get that sometimes servers have different areas they cover but it seemed like a moot point in a space so dead. Needless to say, we got a lot of attitude, but she ended up dropping it and we sat in our preferred booth. As a sidenote, our booth did have the perfect view of two employees (one being the hostess) sitting in a booth of their own, drinking coffee and chit chatting. Maybe she felt uncomfortable with the idea of us watching them slack off? In general, hardly any of the five or so servers were doing much of anything. I would think that would mean stellar service awaited but read on! Our server...while he was nice enough, he was forgetful in bringing out certain things (ie. plates for our appetizers...guess we were expected to all huddle over the main plates and dig in?) and had to be asked regarding refills. When we asked for a lunch menu, he said they didn't serve lunch on the weekends. Cue confusion, as we have had lunch there many times, and generally do a combination of breakfast and lunch foods. We went on to clarify that we wanted the regular menu, and finally he realized we did not mean the lunch specials menu...Maybe that was our bad, but one would assume if there were no lunch specials on the weekend, you would offer up the regular menu for other offerings instead of acting like breakfast is all that is served? We got some attitude here as well when ordering from the main menu. It was 10:45 am by this point and some people in our party ordered breakfast items, some ordered lunch items. The server came back a little bit later to tell us that 'the chef was very unhappy with him' for presenting an order with regular menu items before 11 am, because apparently that is when the regular menu ordering can officially commence. Let me reiterate...we were the ONLY ones there! Most of the items we ordered were also most definitely frozen food that just needed to be thrown in the fryer. So sorry to the chef if you did not feel like making a little extra effort for the only customers in the place. It was also unfortunate that the waiter told us to 'just come in later next time' if we wanted to order breakfast and regular menu items, like he was helping us see the light with that bit of advice...next time, I'm going somewhere that actually values my business. If this is the general attitude that has been floating around this place, I can see why no other customers were there. That being said, the food was just ok. Nothing wrong with that, but also nothing worth going back for when the service is lacking (and that's putting it kindly). I like to support local businesses but I can't support an establishment that has employees who feel inconvenienced by having customers. Fun fact: 'Pinnacle' is defined as a high, pointed piece of rock. This experience was so unpleasant, it felt like a piece was broken off and jabbed in to my spine the entire visit, so at least the place is true to its namesake!

They have a great happy hour offering, and their chips are amazing. Service has always been good, but I wish they would rotate their beer handles more frequently. With so many fantastic local brewer, I would think more options would be available.

to We went for dinner to watch the Oregon/Texas game on the last night my daughter was with us before she went back to school. The food was TERRIBLE! 1) mozzarella sticks-The inside is suppose to be soft and gooey. These had cheese that was still cool and solid. 2) BBQ Rib ends- They tasted disgusting- the ribs were old! 3) Singapore wings- We didn't get wings. We got chicken mcnuggets/strips coated with buffalo wing sauce... NOT the asian spicy sauce. 4) PIZZA- I ordered a pizza with cheese, mushrooms, onion and canadian bacon. My pizza had an undercooked crust, very little cheese that WASN'T completely melted and no canadian bacon. It truly was worse than a supermarket cheap cheap pizza. We spent $68.83 on truely the WORST meal we have EVER had. (receipt #170248, table 54) Not exactly sure what went wrong, but truely horrible food.

Loved it. Came for breakfast. Stayed for the Mimosas ($3) Atmosphere: Really nice, clean sports bar with lots of large flat screen tvs. Did I mention clean? Very important to me. I sat outside because the weather was so awesome. Lots of Eagle Rd noise but that's to be expected. Food: Fresh ingredients. Not frozen or canned like Le Peep next door. I asked for something not on their menu and they were very accommodating. I had a spicy Italian sausage link with eggs, hash browns and English muffin. Everything was delicious. Service: Karri was my server. She was at my outside table within a minute of my arrival. She made suggestions and highlighted the menu items for me. She very sweetly went to the kitchen to ask about my special request. She was attentive without being a pest. She made my visit enjoyable. I will be back to try their happy hour (s). From 2 to 6 on weekdays. They have drinks and appetizer specials. I will post an update.

I had a lunch meeting here and I was more than pleased by the experience! The service was fantastic and food was above average for Sports bar type food. The homemade chips that were served as a free munchie was a nice touch. I will definitely come back again!

It would be a GREAT sports bar if they had sound! I can go and listen to any bar and listen to music. Nothing worse than listening to music at a sports bar. Yes, they have the sound for the BSU games, but otherwise it's music. Real lame! I will give them credit for having speaker boxes, you must request them. But the ambiance is not the same without having actual sound of sports, put something on for god sake.

First let me say our family has patronized this restaurant since it opened and have been there many times. All of them good if not great. However , this time we had a not so great meal with poor service and then it became worse . We attempted to pay with a $100 gift certificate that we purchased at a school auction we were treated like we were running a scam. The manager questioned us multiple times on where we got the certificate and who gave it to us and was unprofessional in his behavior . I.E. He barked this across the restaurant " I don't even know these people" " anyone could've made this". Completely embarrassing. I told him exactly were we purchased it and when( he asked for the date, why?) .I just said we will just pay it. He then continued to lecture us on why he couldn't take it . How the restaurant needs to make money , etc..We told him "we get it " and actually had to hand him our credit card to get him to leave. We received a new bill which for some inexplicable reason had now been divided into two separate tickets. Why? A bizarre dining experience. The owner contacted us after our negative review and again explained why they couldn't take what we had and then stated that we shouldn't have "badgered " his employee which did upset me as we didn't . The owner did contact BK (my daughter , wife and I are all graduates as well as current parents )and asked them to refund us which was a nice gesture( thanks for that ) but we're happy to make a donation to BK. I think we all had wished it had never had happened .

If I could give them no stars I would!!! I ate there several times and loved the place absolutely did but then the food wasn't great I just like the football, cold beers and hot wings. So upon returning I ordered a cheeseburger and it was gross something was wrong with it. I told the server and he said sorry you don't like our burger and walked off. Didn't apologize didn't ask to take it back and get me something else nothing. Then came back and said would you like me to move your plate then charged me for the nasty burger!!! I will never ever return worst service of my life

This is totally a sports bar. If you want to be able to watch sports on four big flat screens, this is your place. We came there for dinner. I ordered a cup of Clam Chowder and the Fried steak bites appetizer for my entree. It was such a let down that my Clam Chowder wasn't hot in temperature. I didn't send it back because I never send food back just because I'm paranoid to what they will do to my food. The fried steak bites were pretty tasty. They were fried and it's not a kind of food that I can eat all in one seating. It's definitely not an appetizer portion. Service was so so. I think our server didn't really want to be there that day. Overall, I will come back when I'm in Boise because my fiancee's family love this place. I will not order the soup tho.

Blackened Salmon was bomb-dot-com. Well, let's be real, you can't really ruin something like that. Oh and Fun fact of the day: Finger steaks are purported to have been first served in a restaurant setting at Boise, Idaho's "Milo's Torch Lounge" (aka The Torch) in 1957. Milo Bybee claimed to have invented finger steaks while wondering what to do with leftover tenderloin scraps when he was working as a butcher for the U.S. Forest Service in McCall. Only a true Idahoan could really appreciate these little "fingers", which Pinnacle does a great job with. Try the Honey Mustard- It has fresh herbs.

We used to like to go to this pub. I'm done now. Nothing has ever been very special about it and tonight we were told by 2 different servers how they were not our server and then we were told by the manager (we think it was actually the owner) that we didn't get the amount of cheese we might be expecting because they measure it and there will only be 5 ounces. Really? What ever happened to the customer having their expectations met?? Glad to know satisfaction is not the priority but the bottom line is... Our table spent $80 in a brief period of time. We'll take our $ somewhere else. My suggestions: Bardeney, Schooners, and Rudy's.... Also forced to give one star.

On Valentine's Day evening my wife and I went to another restaurant, Jakers.....received absolutely HORRIBLE service so left and found this great spot. We will definitely be back. The service and food were both GREAT! Unfortunately you will be deluged with texts if you give them your cell number in hopes of getting a discount down the road. You may well receive half a dozen texts a DAY and find it impossible to get off their junk texting list. Too bad, an otherwise good restaurant tortures you with it's marketing later on.

Clean establishment. Food was mediocre. The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were over spiced with a peculiar flavor. The Kobi meat loaf was nothing special. Service was poor, especially for a slow Sunday night. Can't imagine service on a Friday/Saturday night. It's a new place, so hopefully things get worked out. There is potential, just not now.

So second time at the Pinnacle and I went during a busy sports night ( the NBA Finals). I am happy to say that the seating was alot better and the owner offered us a better table when the previous people left. I did not have the same waitress this time since we moved tables but when I saw her she seemed to be as cheerful as ever. The waiter we did have was the bartender and made sure we had what we needed and then left us alone which I prefer I do not like being pestered while I eat and watch the game. Yes again I had the beer tower but this time was with a few friends so went through a few. I also ordered the same appetizers as last time because my husband and I both liked the finger steaks. Unfortunately my friends did not but I think it might be a acquired taste to like finger steaks for some people. My friends ordered the huddle but I will not rate their food because I did not try it ( was to busy munching on my own food). I did order the original wings (bone-in) which to my surprise were fairly good and not dry. The neg was that I guess before I got there the hostess was a little rude to my friends right before the owner walked up. Later that night she was cleaning a table and looked miserable not sure why probably had a bad day. So the pos is that my husband and I at least had a great time and liked that we had our own sound box for the flat screen we were watching. Another plus is that there were no kids sitting next to us this time in the bar area which was great. The seating was large enough to sit all five of us even though we ran out of food space with all our munchies. I may have started to become biased on this place but it has comfortable sitting and huge flat screens and is five minutes from my house so the second trip definitely made me want to stop by again.
