Its been years since I've been to JB's. I must say I was pleasantly surprised,not only about there food,but also how busy they are. I honestly thought that with all the new restaurants in meridian,that they would be struggling. I'm happy to say I was completely wrong. I've been there twice now and both times,the service has been outstanding. The first time I went there I ordered the chicken strips and onion rings. My dining companion ordered the ayce fish and shrimp. The chicken strips are decent,but the shrimp my dining companion had was awesome. Her meal came with the salad bar,I added mine for only 3 dollars. The salad bar has a nice variety. On the cold side you have salad fixings and different fruits and on the hot side you have nacho's,baked potato's,corn bread,chili and soup. I'm not going to tell you its fancy,but for the price you can't go wrong. When I was younger we use to have one in Nampa. My parents use to take us there for there breakfast buffet. The meridian location still has it everyday so I think I will check it out. I would say the food is comparable to many of the chain restaurants. Its a nice place to grab a quick bite and the service has been outstanding!!!

Don't come here after 9:30pm. Everything was broken done. I would have given them 1/2 star but yelp would not let me. I ordered soup and it never came. I ordered my steak meduim and it was well done!! The hours state you close at 10pm. To me this means everything can be served. While I was eating they asked me to pay the check so they can close down the register. Why don't they say we close at 9:30 instead of 10. Really!!

We go here only for breakfast. I am reviewing only from that perspective and with wife and kids in tow. They do a good job. The buffet is what we generally get. Best thing is you can be in and out quickly and it's not crowded as many other restaurants are at this time. Great for kids. Have daily specials, staff visits table frequently. You can even buy and take home a fresh made pie. Been going here for years and have never had a bad experience.

Not a bad little joint. It is open late - it is actually opened after 11 on weekends. My family and I recently moved to the area and we were looking for a place open late after a long day of unpacking. This was local to Nampa and right off the freeway. The location is easy to access. At 10:40 at night there were still a number of people eating and chatting, so we figured that it was a good sign. Our waitress, I wish I had gotten her name... was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the salad bar, which was okay. One main complaint - they didn't have any tomatoes? No tomatoes for a salad? What gives? However, maybe it was because it was late and they were out? What was there was limited, but fresh. I'll take quality over quantity. The rest of the salad bar was kind of like a taco bar with piping hot soups and chili and okay buffet fair. My son had the chicken parmesan and he said it was great. The husband had breakfast - sausage is excellent and their pancakes are tasty. My youngest, a toddler, had fruity pancakes with strawberries and didn't like it. The strawberries are the canned variety and not what we were expecting. Overall, we'd probably be back. I think that breakfast bar is probably better than the salad bar, but we will see. No real complaints, prices are average, and food is decent.

My son and I both had burgers - bbq and mushroom. Neither of us was impressed, pretty bland and pretty sure it was a frozen patty. I asked for mustard. Pretty much any fast food joint has a better burger in my opinion. Wife had the salad bar which seemed OK. . Best part was the banana split which our server initially said wasn't an option. Service was pretty good. Sizzler a better option in my opinion.

We love JBs. It's basic truck~stop fare, but the buffet is plentiful (if not heart~healthy), and the help is attentive and nice. Two secrets, the banana split fills a dinner plate, it's not on the menu, so the server loves to get creative with it, and it's $4.00...if you're old like most if us and you sign the receipt, you get 10%. Tip well my friends.

Went there for breakfast when we first moved to town. The service was prompt, the food was good, and it was affordable. The only reason I didn't give if 5 stars was it was a long wait and they didn't come out and call a groups name so they skipped over them because of it. Otherwise for us, all went smoothly.

Breakfast buffet at J B's Restaurant..this is really good. Buffet has everything you could possible want, pancake, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit and gravy, fruit, juice, and the list goes on. Waitresses was great looking 20 something year olds, friendly, helpful, and on top of their great service here. Prices are moderate, and the restaurant was full on Sunday morning.

Love it! The breakfast buffet is my favorite but I love the salad bar too. Always fresh fruit and veggies. Definitely recommend!

It's got a good salad bar and breakfast bar. Nice booths and nice waitstaff. I eat here every once in a while and it is ok. nothing spectacular and nothing bad.

This place is great 7.79 for the breakfast buffet plenty of good food and super nice servers I'm only in town a few days and I don't think I will be going anywhere else.
