Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

Idaho Pizza company is actually really good honest pizza. I order from them exclusively when other cheaper options are around. But I have a hard time rating them a 4, but I feel guilty of the 3 I am giving. It's probably a low 4 or high 3. So why the medium rating when this is my exclusive pizza joint? One draw back is the absurdity in the pricing scale. It almost feels like you are shoe horned into buying larges every time because the medium is nearly the same price. I ordered a medium yesterday and it comes to ~$17. And a large around 19. When you can order pizzas for 5-10 from competitors. So why do I order ipc? I think it's childhood nostalgia of what a good pizza looks and tastes like. They offer a killer lunch special, but the good pizzas are almost always gone so you have to wait for a replacement or try one of the different types that look like they've been sitting for a while. The local store is friendly and seems family oriented. I rarely go in to eat, usually order delivery. Delivery times are usually quoted 45-50 minutes but I've had most deliverys arrive at the 30 minute mark. Overall I enjoy IPC, but it's a personal indulgence. If I have a group of friends over it's really not cost effective to order from them. Will look at the coupon deals I get in the mail from a competitor.

It's been awhile since I last posted any sort of review, here, on Yelp. "You really should post a review, one of these times," I've been telling myself. Of one of the many local places and local chain restaurant addresses I've visited in the Greater Boise area since moving to Idaho. After a time, going back and reviewing a place I'd visited months ago or a year ago is disingenuous, as I won't have a clue about what might've changed since that visit, for better or worse. I've even talked myself down from reviewing a place I'd meant to review after a visit three or four years ago. Is it even open, anymore? That dish I may have loved might now be shit. The poor service may now be terrific. You can't do a review miles down the road; it must be fresh. "Don't sit on this one," I begged myself. Idaho Pizza Company has a number of outlets in the Boise area. The one my family frequents is in the heart of Meridian -- this particular joint. In a small strip shopping center of four or five storefronts (or even three) on the eastbound side of Fairview. Walking in, you'll catch that familiar whiff of pizza parlours known to every American going back to when they began to really take hold in this country, which is when- In the '60s, sometime? Which hasn't escaped this restaurant, with its wonderful choice of piped-in music to my ears, anyway -- the pop and "British Invasion" and Motown hits of the early- to mid-1960s, give or take a couple of years either way. That music and that pizza joint oven smell are about as American as you can get, even when the music and the food aren't completely American at all. It's representative of a slice out of time when our lives were spent hovering about such places. I came into it on the tail end, as the early '70s came along and I was just a little boy in someone's tow. But the music, the game rooms, that smell, and the din of all that and the customers of a place like that cemented the experience into my soul as being completely, utterly Americana. Bubble gum and muscle cars and Stingray bicycles and pinball machines and pretty, giggly high school girls who, then, were "older women" to me. It takes me awhile to snap out of it, the reminiscence of bygone times, real or how I imagine they were. Especially in a place that's well set up and nicely decorated. Comfortably decorated. Decorated as a pizza joint should be decorated. With a strong hint of nostalgia. We're greeted warmly. There are signs with various house specials written upon them. The prices are about where I'd expect them to be at any pizza parlour. We're seated. We're served by a bubbly server who does her job well, making sure we've got everything we need, clearing away our debris. But we were there for the pizza. We've had it before, but it was the first time I'd eaten in. It was a delightful, clean place, but I was there for the pizza. And it didn't disappoint. My favorite is always some manner of "Supreme" or "Combo" pie; I ordered an "Idaho Supreme". It was what any pizza like it should be. A pizza is made by its crust, however. No matter what you put on top of it, the crust is what either makes it or breaks it, and Idaho Pizza Company puts out a crust that's not to thin, not to thick, and a wonderful mix of crisp and chewy that appeals very nicely to me. There are specialty pies like one with Bleu Cheese sauce and "Hell's Chicken" -- something I imagine to be akin to Buffalo Chicken -- with jalapeños that I really must try, someday. There's a barbecue chicken pizza that I think I've had, before; it was magnificent. My sister loves a vegetarian pizza. They've got a good one of those, tried from experience. The crust is what does it for them. I really like their crust. Bottomless sodas and iced teas for those dining in; I must have my Coca-Cola when scarfing down the slices. There's a salad bar, but I didn't have time for it, and there are sandwiches offered as well. A lot on that menu that begs I come back to try a little more, a little more variety. But I couldn't switch myself up, tonight. I had to cave to my ol' standby, the house "Supreme", when I saw the gingham table coverings and heard Del Shannon begging me to "Follow The Sun". That's what pizza is to me. It's- It's a slice of America that even I'm too young to truly recall. But I love a place that helps me pretend it.

Lunch is a stellar deal! All you can eat specialty pizzas, drink, and salad for $7.49. Quality, combined with quantity, cannot be beat!

Classic Boise pizza restaurant. Everyone that ever eats pizza here falls in love with it. A little bit more expensive then your typical pizza hutt or dominos but is worth it. Love the cheese covered bread sticks. There cheap and you can order 12 or 24. Few games for the kids which is nice but they are old.

Their pizza and atmosphere are the closest comparison we have found to Round Table, which I miss so much. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and great salad bar! We eat here once a month with a group for our club meetings. Never disappointed!

I've been to Idaho pizza many many times, but today was the first time attending the all you can eat pizza and salad bar. The salad bar delicious and the pizza constantly coming out fresh and tastey. My only advise is to make sure you get there before its a madhouse of people.

I love this Pizza! Get any pizza you can't go wrong. have done dine in and delivery. They have a really great lunch special. It's very busy around lunch time for that reason. I highly recommend their chicken bacon club sandwich. It's serviced on homemade bread. Check out special of the month or the lunch specials.

Best pizza in town. I have been to several locations but the one in Meridian is so welcoming and has a great hang out feel. Pizza and service is always excellent. Highly recommend it. I am a big fan of piping hot pizza so for lunch I choose the special to have my own personal mini pizza made rather than the all you can eat pizza special. Although good and their pizzas keep coming I enjoy my pizza fresh and I can taste the difference. This place is locally owned which is another reason for the 5 stars. Brings me back to the days of being a kid and the treat it was to go to a pizza place with video games. If this place had Wi Fi it would be the place to hang out.

This is my favorite pizza in Idaho. The lunch bar is a very good deal. All you can eat pizza and salad for $7.49 or so. It's busy in there, but that's because it's good pizza at a good price. The couple of bad reviews I saw saying it was bad pizza must have a different taste than most.

After reviewing about how good the pizza was here decided to check it out. Came in the afternoon eat and do some work on the side, but learned there was no public WiFi. Also didn't feel welcomed by the employee at the counter.

I moved here from the bay area and am on the hunt for great pizza. Our first night here I ordered the Stampede BBQ chicken pizza delivery and it was very good. When you go to the restaurant, it's huge, perfect for a big party or little league gathering. Salad bar has LOTS of options and the staff is very friendly. Pretty fun family-friendly place.

I won lunch for 2 from a local radio station. My husband and I waited until Saturday. Though there is a location closer to our home, a coworkers daughter works at the Meridian location so we took a little drive. The restaurant is clean, welcoming and comfortable, with the exception of the AC being a little too cool for us on the day we went. We each enjoyed a personal pizza with 2 toppings, salad bar and a soda. The guy taking our order was welcoming and friendly, the drink station was clean and well stocked, and teh salad bar, while not offering as many ingredients as I expected, was clean and stocked. One great surprise is that their blue cheese dressing actually had chunks of blue cheese in it! Our pizzas were delivered to our table piping hot. The red sauce has a bit of a kick (hubby had pineapple and pepperoni- I opted for the garlic sauce with chicken and green onion). The crust was thin, but not to cripsy. Overall we really enjoyed our meal, next time I'll take a sweater, but we'll definitely return.

We've ordered take-out pizza from a couple of different pizza places here in Meridian and I have to say this place takes the cake! Pizza was hot, excellent crust (not too thick/thin), loved their sauce. We ordered a combo, the Idaho Supreme - excellent.
