Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Very 1950s feel to decor, and music. But the menu is cool screen. Food was great price, and we left filled UP to burst! Kids loved it, they ate every bite and that's saying something. Custards after were excellent, portions super generous. Would absolutely go back.

I have watched Freddie's every since they 1st went in. They have been open for just a couple months now. I almost did not try Freddie's. From the outside, they look like a normal run of the mill burger joint that is part of a strip mall. The only thing that caught my attention was the fact that is new (I am a sucker for all things new) and the fancy script font used for their sign along with the color. Red stands out very well. I have been so very disappointed by so many burger places, that I could just not bear to try yet another one. Well, I am happy to say that I am glad that I did try Freddie's. but still have reservations with it. When I 1st entered Freddie's I felt like I was in the movie Back to the Future. I was now Michael J Fox being transported back to a 1950's diner. The diner looks and feels like a 1950's diner right down to the music that you will hear. My 1st issues is the staff. Its not a big issue, but it is a pet peeve of mine. When I go to a theme restaurant, or specific type of cuisine restaurant, I want to be fully immersed in the experience. After all, the atmosphere of the restaurant is just as important as the food. It adds to the overall experience. For example, if I am going to a Chinese restaurant, I want to feel like I am in china. I want to hear Chinese music, be waited on by actual Chinese people, and feel like I am in China. When I am in an Italian Restaurant, I want to be served by Italians, hear Italian music and when I walk out, feel like I have just visited Italy. When I go to a 50's diner, I want to listen to 50's music, eat 50's style food, and be served by staff that are look like they just woke up from the 1950's. The staff at Freddie's looked and acted like any ordinary Joe Blow's from the 2000's. When I approached the counter to order my burger, I asked for a normal single patty hamburger. The young lady at the bar instantly told me that I should get a double due to the fact that the patties are very thin. She said that she did not want me to get the single patty burger and say to myself, or her, 'Wheres the beef?" The question I had to ask myself was; Was this lady speaking the truth, or was she just trying to up sell me to a double burger? I told her that I would have the double. My objection here is this. Whats the point of even having a single patty burger on the menu since they are so small that their staff dont even recommend them? When my food came out, I knew that my young lady at the counter has spoken the truth. The patties here are very thin. Almost paper thin! This is why they can cook them so quickly even to order instead of cooking them ahead of time like so many other places. The patty had a nice crispiness to it. It was cooked on a flat top. I am not usually a fan of burgers cooked on flat tops because they lack flavor. But the char of the meat from it being on the grill and pressed down, gives it a nice flavor. The patties are so thin though that even with having 2 of them, I still did not get enough meat. A few of the bites of my burger had no meat in them at all. This is due to a patty that is not big enough to fit the entire bun. On my hamburger-ometer, I give the burger a 5 out of 10. Though it had a good flavor, I had to rank it down because of the size of the patty and the thinness of the patty. The burgers here are not cheap. The single patty burger is a pretty typical costs, but do not order it. Its way too thin and wont give you enough meat to feed a field mouse. You will be disappointed. When I went home for the night, I had..well you know....gaseous anomalies! That means that either the burger, or the fries were greasy. If you go here, you will want to order at least a double and maybe even a triple. I know the next time I go, it will have to be a triple for me. Given that the triple here is equivalent to a single at most every other burger place in town, its over priced. The saving grace for me on this burger is the fact that it comes by default with MUSTARD. I think only time will tell how well this will go over up here in Idaho where Mayo is so popular, that it is its own food group. Personally, I love the fact that they have chosen Mustard over mayo. I am from Texas where all burgers are done with mustard. Next come the fries. They are very thin as well. They are what are known as shoe string fries. They are way too thin to have any flavor to them. On my Fri-Ometer, they get a 2 out of 10. The lady at the counter offered us some frozen custard. It was Delicious!!! If you dont here for nothing else, you have to have the custard. Frozen custard has all but poofed from the market. I have no idea why because it is sooo much better than ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt. Its very very creamy and just plain good. I highly recommend the Frozen Yogurt. I dont recommend the fries and do recommend the burger as long as you have a double or triple. If you can afford it that i

Having moved here from Vegas I was ecstatic when they opened Freddy's here! We used to go to the one in Vegas all the time...that being said I didn't think they could improve on what we thought were the best burgers in the west. I was wrong! The Meridian Freddy's is definitely fresher, hotter and better than the Vegas store. I was floored. We went the first day and I wasn't expecting to be blown away (being the first day and all I was going in skeptical but was pleasantly surprised) Their burgers and fries are great. If you have ever been to a Steak N' Shake, it's the same concept. Super thin cut fries and hot off the grill steakburgers. The double w/cheese is the best. Also a nod to their Vienna Beef Chicago dog, although it is not on a poppy seed bun as it should be, it's a valiant attempt. (and the best we can get here in Boise) Frozen custard is much richer and creamier than ice cream, give it a try! So happy Freddy's is here!!!!!

Great Steakburgers!! Gotta try the Original Double Steakburger with cheese the burger is cooked to order so it's hot off the grill when you get it. The fries are a shoestring fry that are always hot and fresh. Also don't pass on the custard, so much creamier than regular ice cream. My favorite is the PBC&B concrete!! Don't pass this place up!!

If you're looking for very bland fast food you'll really like this place. There was literally no flavor whatsoever in my burger. It was squished, overcooked meat, mayo, artificially ripened tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and mayo on a crappy whitbread bun. None of it was prepared improperly, it was exactly as they intended which is saddest of all.

We decided to stop at Freddies and give it a try today. I had the bacon cheddar burger with fries and a chocolate shake. Everything was very tasty. The burger was juicy and had good flavor. The shoestring fries were seasoned and were served hot. The shake was very thick. We will be back again. Go ahead give it a try.

My daughter had the mint-Oreo concrete and loved it. I tried the chocolate custard in a waffle cone. Yum! The custard is a winner. The burgers, not so much. I've heard them compared to In-n-Out, but I just don't see it. The fries are all right, but the burger I tried was all grease and very little flavor.

I'm gonna try and make this short and sweet. Is it a bit pricey? Yes Are the fries fantastic? No, they are not However... Are the concretes good? Very Is the burger worth it? I certainly think so I really don't understand past reviews talking about the burgers being bland. I can't speak to the chicken, but the burgers are great. Maybe they all had colds or something. The two things that bring down my rating are: price for how little you get, and staff attitude. The manager seems like a very understanding/reasonable guy, but on two separate occasions the cashier has seemed like he hated life. Also, others aren't wrong when they say the patties are skinny. It's still plenty of food though

An average burger and average fries for an above average price. I found both the burger and fries to be massively over-seasoned, to the point where salt was the predominant flavor. The frozen custard did not distinguish itself from other soft-serve ice cream at similar places, being mostly sweet, but not otherwise notable. Overall, not bad, but somewhat disappointing.

Pretty good burger joint! My band and I went to Boise, Idaho, and decided to try out Freddy's because it was recommended to us. We were pleasantly surprised! They had friendly service and were patient with us as we fumbled over the menues. I had the vanilla custard with mixed strawberries. I ordered a small but it was still a pretty large sized portion. Their shoe string fries are good too, filling. Fry sauce was tasty, too! If you have ever tried In N' Out before, this is sort of like that, but better and with a larger menu. :)

Every once in a while I run into one of those places that for whatever reason the masses seem to enjoy but I just don't see what they're seeing. Freddy's is one is those places for me. I stopped here with relatively high hopes and left thinking, I don't get the hype. I found my chicken sandwich to be sadly bland (thankfully they have seasoning salt, use as much as you need), half of my fries were un-dippably tiny (which was too bad because their fry sauce was pretty decent), and the custard to be ho-hum/A-OK (I got nothing to add here). Meh!

Freddy's didn't strike a chord with me, but it may with you. The atmosphere is all fun 50's diner fabulousness. They play fun 50's tunes, the tables are all retro red and chrome cool. It's also sparkling clean (something I very much appreciate). I ordered a single cheeseburger meal, which you have to kind of search for on the menu as all the featured, pictured combos are doubles. Here's the thing you need to know, their patties are paper thin (really and truly very thin, my people). The cashier explained this to me as I was ordering a single and he wanted to make sure I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm not overly carnivorous (can one be "overly" carnivorous?) and so a thin patty was fine by me. But, you should note, that if you're ordering a double? It's going to be much closer to the amount of meat on a typical burger joint's single. If you like something a little meatier, I'd go for the triple. The burger was fine. It didn't rock my socks but it was by no means bad. The fries are shoestring, which is my least favorite style of fry. So, overall the meal was little ho-hum for me. The service is lightening quick and the cashier was friendly and informative. Definitely, a good place to hit if you're pressed on time. They'll get you in, out, amply fed in no time. And, they'll be friendly to boot. For dessert, I ordered their a chocolate and peanut butter concrete (frozen custard concoction akin to a thick milkshake--so thick, you definitely must use a spoon), which was ok. It was chocolatey but there were only a couple of bites that I could even taste the peanut butter (sad!). My dining companion ordered signature Chocolate Brownie Delight Concrete and found it so overly sweet, he couldn't eat it. Overall for me? A swing and a miss.

I first went to freddies back in Florida right when they opened so I was happy to hear that there was one in boise when I moved back.. have been visited here a couple times already and each time the food is top notch and service is fast and freindly. Everything u would come to expect. I would say this is the best fast food burger in town hands down. And don't forget to try there custard we were lucky to get a free one and now we order one everythime.. very well rounded meal..

Do we really need another burger place in Meridian?? How many is there? McDonalds, five guys, Smashburger, Carl's jr, Sonic, jack in the box, Arctic Circle, Wendy's,main street burger, Boise fry co, and I'm sure I missed a few! So how could this place bring anything different and unique to an already saturated burger town like Meridian? Well I'm telling you that they have done just that! It's different and unique! And I will tell you that we really enjoyed our lunch! Loved the double steak burger! It was delicious and much different than any other burger place in town! The frys and seasoning were very good as well. The menu and restaurant has a wide variety of options that makes it super family friendly! The place has a colorful and fun decor! Custard? What is custard? All I can tell you is its like ice cream but only better and creamer! A must try if your like me and have never had it! So good! Only down side to Freddy's is the location and parking is a bit off. But don't let that keep you away from a truly great and taste burger! :)

Best custard I've had! Got the mini vanilla with strawberries and bananas! So yummy! Was busy on a Saturday night, service was still great and quick!

This is the second time coming to this place and everything was great. The California style double burger is recommended. They give you a generous portion of fries and also custard at the end. The inside is very 50s but it seems clean and the staff was nice. For 2 adult meals and a kids meal it was around $20.

The hype for this restaurant didn't live up to expectations unfortunately. The location is okay, hard to get too going north bound, but it's workable. Food is extremely pricy for what you're getting. The burgers are small and left me hungry. I even was confused because I ordered a double but it looked like a single. Went to the counter and was informed that both patties were there. Couldn't believe what I though was a small McDonald's patty was 2 patties here. Ordered a frozen custard and didn't finish. Was too sweet for me. A bit disappointed. Won't return for awhile.

Finally got the chance to check out Freddy's this weekend with the family. I'm not a huge fan of fast food burgers but Freddy's was great! I had a regular cheeseburger combo and loved their fries. My daughter had a grilled cheese with onion rings and I stole one bite of my niece's chocolate custard There food and service was exceptional and the prices are lower than Five Guys. We will definitely be going back!

Can't find anything wrong with this place! Drive thru was packed with the line out into the parking lot! Every table was filled with a fast moving line inside! With that said I was SHOCKED how fast our order was completed! Awesome staff, went the extra mile and brought our food to us out on the patio!! Everyone devoured their burgers! Brownie custard sundae was delicious, will order again! My mom was also impressed with the Turtle Sundae she ordered! Good quality all around!! Will be back :)

Easily the best diner style burger in the Boise area. It might not be the place for you if you like a big gob of meat that tastes like it was washed in the blood of the lame. I happen to like thin well-done patties that are browner than grasshopper spit. It gives the meat the familiar flavor of an old home burger in the distant diner of the mind. The bun is fine, the dressings fresh, the stick taters tasty, & I don't give a hoot to pollute my chute with any custard. I'm sure it's good, but I'm on a low fart diet. If you've got any funk in your spunk, you'll like this place, even if it is a chain.

I like custard. That is where this restaurant starts with its name. I like their desserts, but they are rich. A good treat. I'd rate the dessert menu 5 stars, easily. Next, comes the "steakburgers" side. I was not impressed. Over cooked, thin, just not that good. I would never come here just for burgers. There are too many other great burger places around. I'd put the burgers in the 2 star category. Finally, comes the fries. I love their fries. They are good, and the seasoned salt for them works quite well. They definitely raise things up, in the main course category. I'd rate them 4 stars. Over-all, I'll give it 4 stars. Want some ice cream/custard? Worth a 5 star. Want a fast food burger? I'd recommend going elsewhere.

I finally tried some of the frozen custard here and I have to say, it's pretty darn good. I had a chocolate concrete with Butterfinger and Heath bits in it. Very yummy. May have to give the regular food here another try because of a this.

  • J D.

Tried the "frozen custard" which came highly recommended by others, and a shake. Nothing special. Tasted like cheap ice cream to me. I get it's supposed to be "custard" and not ice cream, but it tasted more like a marketing gimmick than reality. Can't speak for anything else.

  • Rob L.

There are some really good things about Freddy's. I've had good service there and I do enjoy their shoestring fries. Steakburgers aren't my thing as they tend to end up as a less juicy version of an Arby's sandwich. That said, if you are going to put frozen custard in your name, you have to do it right. Freddy's doesn't do it right. Frozen custard should have a really smooth but really firm texture. It can't be runny. It shouldn't taste like a Wendy's frostie and that's what you get here for triple the price of a frostie (Not that I mind a frostie). If you want to know how custard should taste try Ted Drewes in St. Louis (hands down the best) or even Nielsens in Rexburg, SLC, and Vegas.

    (2)
  • Natalie Z.

I got vanilla custard with strawberries, bananas, and hot fudge! It is seriously the best I have ever had. Will def be returning, and recommend! Really, really impressed! Will be back tomorrow for some burgers and fries.

Great food and dessert. We got a single steak burger and California combo for $11.53. They even gave us a free sundae! They have great service and great employees. You should definitely come here.

  • Angela W.

If there is one thing I know about, it's cheeseburgers. And this place does not have good ones. The "lacey" patties lacked flavor, there was nothing great setting it apart. The French fries were harden soaked by grease. Definitely go to five guys, or even wendys, before this place. Did not try the custard.

  • Michael T.

If you know what steak burgers and frozen custard are...and you like that kind of thing...you will love Freddy's! We had one in Phoenix and I've been before- so of course I was excited to see one pop up on Eagle road. Very attentive service, the manager stopped by and played with the kid a few times and of course the food was good :) I have always been a big fan of food concepts that do something simple as long as they do it well (in and out comes to mind) and Freddy's does just that. It's a change from the ordinary, it's reasonably priced and it's quick service. If you've never had it, go and give it a try!

  • Mike H.

Got the number one combo. It was great to have burger that wasn't full of grease or dry. It was too salty and sorry coke fans, they only serve Pepsi.

    (4)
  • Heidi R.

If you like a long piece of hair in your burger, this is the place for you. With so many Burger places to choose from this one fell short in the taste dept. Their concrete (shakes) are very good though

    (2)
  • Tom C.

Was great when first opened but now it's hit and miss. Sometimes my burger is killer and other times it's soggy and slopped together. Quality is all about training and standardized processes. Something is lacking over there in the ability to deliver a consistent quality burger, like In-N-Out.

    (2)
  • Chris P.

Not impressed, overpriced, salty and burnt partty...not sure the beef should be deemed "steak" quality. There are much better burger choices out there and I don't see this place lasting too long...pumpkin concrete was the only thing that was any good.

  • Michael C.

Frddys provides a good burger and great fries. Only complaint was from my son cause his hot dog bun wasn't cut deep enough......lol. we will definitely come back.

Finally got to take the family some were new and wound up spending way more than intended on burgers and fries. The food was not bad but in my honest opinion it was nothing special. So we went try the frozen custard and not only was it just as pricey but I have made better at home. Was very disappointed the only thing I liked was the decor.

    (1)
  • Troy H.

Wow... great quality, fast friendly service. I went to the Nampa, ID one and I'm a fan now. I just a great burger by whether you have to commit to it or not. Meaning, if you can put it down and take a bite later... it might now be the best. This burger... oh my. Love it, love it, love it... did I mention I love it? I'm thinking it's better than 5 guys and Smashburger now.

  • Alexis B.

I ordered the double California steakburger combo. The fries were thin, oversaturated with oil, and under-seasoned. McDonald's has better. The burger was very sloppily built and hard to eat. For being a "steakburger", I was unimpressed by the meat. The burger I ordered had 2 patties, each about 1/8" thick... Extremely thin. Again, one McDonald's patty would be a bigger portion than two of these. The Freddy's sauce that came on the burger was a thousand island-type flavor, but there was way too much on the burger for my tastes. I can't speak on their frozen custard because I didn't try it. I wanted to like Freddy's but it just didn't live up to the hype. I won't be back.

This place is awful got a double patty burger that was possibly the smallest single patty burger I've ever had in my life....$8. Dirty as heck.

  • erica R.

Not quite In &Out, but if u get the California style and add some mustard it's, dare I say, JUST as good. The custard is worth the trip alone. I gotta give the chilli fries a try next time.

We've been to Freddy's multiple times now because the food and service are amazing. We are always greeted at the door and continually asked if we have everything we need. Even the manager is great and very involved in customer care. Excellent all around!

  • M B.

Eh! It was okay. Nothing special, custard tasted like ice cream not how frozen custard should taste. Fries were bland, seasoning didn't stay on. If you want a really good custard and burger w/ fries go to Culvers in Twin Falls, ID or Culvers in Utah. Popular in the midwest, but this they have some locations close but it is soo soo good compared to this business that is trying to be similar and Culvers knows how to do frozen custard the right way!!

Yum yum yum. Get the double California burger with pickles and some of their fries. Husband loved the double bacon burger. Custard was also fantastic. Great place when your craving a nice cheesy burger and fries.

Food just not good ...at all. The frozen custard was ok but not anything to go out of your way for.

Stay Away!!! This place has only been open for four weeks. We visited at 11:00 today. Open only 30 minutes, the first thing we noticed upon walking in was that the place was filthy. The tables were dirty, the floors were in desperate need of sweeping (dirt and grass everywhere), the chrome on the chairs looked like it had not been wiped since the grand opening. A visit to the restroom led to more disgusting, unsanitary conditions. Asked to speak with manager who was rude and arrogant. After telling us that he was "aware of a problem but couldn't address it as long as he was talking to us" and trying to give us free food (the dining room and restroom were so filthy I wouldn't dream of eating anything from their kitchen), we gave up trying to have a reasonable conversation. Visit another burger stand. This one isn't going to last at this rate.

The custard was great and I love the frys.

  • Jen J.

Our family loves this place. The fries are our favorite- thin crispy and hot. We like to add some of the extra seasoning they have on the table. The burgers are good- I prefer they california style with the special sauce but the family likes them plain. I have one vegetarian and she says the veggie burger was decent. The frozen custard is also really good- the concrete is their version of the blizzard. A mini is plenty as custard is really rich. The place has been packed every time we have been there but they have never screwed up our order or kept us waiting! We prefer this leaps and bounds above Five Guys.

Shoestring fries that are too skinny to hold seasoning or sauce. Wafer thin charred crunchy burnt to a crisp burgers. I would have sent the burger back at McDonald's but apparently this is normal here. The ice cream melted into soup immediately but was still the best part of the meal. Go up the street to McDonald's instead and get a double cheeseburger meal and an ice cream for half the price with much better food. This was terrible .

Ok normally I wouldn't take the time to review a fast food joint. But after having had lunch there today all I can say is wow. First off my general rule of thumb is don't walk through the doors of any place until it's been opened for a while. But having read reviews of other locations I felt i had to give it a try. Well lets just say this I wasn't disappointed. I started off with a Pattie Melt combo. The Pattie Melt was on crispy toasted rye bread with swiss and grilled onions, and the fries were out of this world. Slightly thinner than a fry at other places but not a shoestring. Perfectly seasoned and just darn delicious. So I go about running errands and being a big guy I decide that I'm still a little hungry about an hour later, so I go back in for a chilli cheese dog, They use Vienna franks which are all beef with a natural case so there's a good snap. The chilli was good but the main reason I went back was to try the custard. So they serve custard instead of soft serve or ice cream. It's richer and has more body. You can get cones or sundaes or what they call a "concrete" think Blizzard but on steroids. All I can say is so wrong so so wrong. Thick creamy decadent are there enough words to describe the goodness I don't think so. Go, eat, enjoy I know I did.

Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.

Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States.
