Our friends raved about this place. So we went for my birthday. Great food for the price! So friendly the owner even came out and chatted with us as we left. He remembered our friends. They even came and put a sombrero on my head and made the whole restaurant sing to me and gave me free sopapillas. It was very clean restaurant. I ate the Camarrones Jalisco. They also brought out a large platter of beans, rice, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, sour cream. It was fabulous! My husband had the Carne Asada Burrito he said delicious. It was very large. We left stuffed! Will definately be back. Don't let the outside of the restaurant scare you away.

One of those steady eddy restaurants you can always count on for good food and excellent customer service. Tonight we split the nachos with half chicken and half shredded beef and it was very good. Very comfortable dining ambiance. Chips and salsa were great and I love their free creative dessert. Prices are average to higher than average.

The best queso dip I've ever had, hands down, and I'm kind of a queso dip conosoirre. Also one of the best chimichangas I've ever had. Super friendly Mexican staff. Quick service. You have to pay extra for sour cream and guacamole for some entrees which I think is kinda lame. But overall excellent. Oh, and it's definitely southwest Texmex, not TRUE Mexican. Which is great for me because that's what I like. Will definitely return!

This place is ALWAYS good, we have never had a bad meal in 5 years of freqenting this place. The shrimp and mushroom dish with the chipotle cream sauce is heaven on earth, as is everything else I try there. My husband is also a big fan, as well as our 5 year old son. The top shelf margaritas are the best in town, and one is enough as they pack a punch. We hit this place at least every 6 weeks or so.

Best chicken chimis ever (ask for no beans)! Great salsa, too!

I love this restaurant. The food is great and so are the prices. The enchiladas are wonderful and so are their burritos.

This is not a very good Mexican restaurant. Stopped in and tried and it was below average and we already have plenty of average Mexican places in the Valley. Food was bland and tasteless....had to add lot's of hot sauce to make it taste like anything. We also made the mistake of eating in their other store in Wyoming. Figured it was a coincidence. Same lousy food, so avoid it if at all possible.

I love this place. The staff is amazing, the food is mouthwatering and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Seriously all the food here is good. I have never been to any other restaurant where I can order anything on the menu and like it. They have vegetarian and pescetarian options as well that are A++

Do NOT order fajitas to go! This is not exclusive to this restaurant just a general rule that I will follow from this point forward. Fajitas are best served sizzling! And I disappointed myself last night. My husband and I stopped in so I could order chicken & shrimp fajitas to go. I will come back and update my review after giving them a second chance fresh in the restaurant. The majority of the mix was onion, the chicken is sliced in very thin strip and the shrimp are small. This may just be different than what I'm used to but I prefer bigger chunks for my fajitas. My husband sat and had chips and salsa while we waited. The best part is that they serve Pepsi and not coke products! They also packaged are food very nicely.

Ayé díos mio! Ice popped in for some tacos y cervezas, only to learn that this joint had recently lost its liquor license. No bueno! Not sure if that cloud is still hanging over the CV, but if so, be forewarned.

Really great staff! The ladies were all friendly and attentive. A+ for that aspect. The tacos were really tasty! Good spices and flavor, and coming from Phoenix I was spoiled with great Mexican food. Some of you might be thinking "they're just tacos", but that's the mark of a good place to me. Anyone can cook up some meat, but getting a good flavor takes skill. The enchilada was good. I was given a tasty dessert I didn't expect at the end and it was yummy. The hot sauce was great and had some heat. I mixed it with the salsa and it was a perfect combo. Thought I'd miss good Mexican food but I've found a great place to go when I get the craving. The music was a nice touch, it felt like I was in the west side back in Phoenix. Good atmosphere.

My friend and I are visiting from out of town and had the lunch hour free. After some online research, we came upon Corona Village. At first glance, this restaurant is located in a very humble, possibly crumbling strip mall. Off-putting as the building may be, there are definitely some gems inside. The staff is pretty quick to provide service and very friendly. He offered us a spicier salsa when he saw us fiddling with the hot sauces. The restaurant also customarily gives retried beans along with the salsa with their chips. We ordered the queso as our appetizer and got a liberal serving of creamy, well-spiced cheese. For our entrees, we both ordered the vegetarian chimichangas, which came in very large portions and with beans, rice, sour cream, and guacamole. The chimichanga itself was nice and crispy, with a stuffing of delicious vegetables and a jalapeño cream sauce. A pleasant surprise at the end of the meal was a small plate of complimentary sopapillas. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this establishment. Good food and great service! Don't let the outside of the building fool you.

This is truly a great spot for Mexican food close to home. We came in tonight (Friday) and it was packed! The staff did a great job of taking care of everyone even though it was packed. Queso dip is a must!! God was pretty good.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
