What an amazing array of flavors. Our palettes were pleasantly delighted. We enjoyed Kurobuta pork and a New Zealand bass. We encourage a visit to this fine establishment. Great service and a Great view of the lake! Truly worth every penny! :0)

I highly recommend going on Thursday night for Chef Gary Kucy's Thai Specials! He made Grouper steamed in a banana leaf served with a mango curry sauce that was simply amazing! I still have dreams at night about how wonderful this dish was!

Had dinner last night there. It took over an hour to get our food and was left sitting there with empty glasses. I had to get up and ask for water. When our food came the shrimp scampi was barely luke warm and had no sauce on or buttery flavor at all. But was dry unseasoned noodles with plain shrimp. The broccoli had barely been cooked and was still crunchy. My husbands filet that he ordered medium was rare and the mashed potatoes were also not warm enough. The people next to us had the same exact experience and were complaining to their waiter. Way overpriced as well. Really disappointing because it's a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of the lake.

Visiting from Phoenix and always make a point to dine here. The ambience is delightful-great views of the lake whether you eat inside or dine on the patio...The food---FANTASTIC! The special beet salad is a delicious starter full of flavor lightly dressed....The steaks, either the flank, sirloin, or roast are all prepared with delicious sauces....cooked to your order every time we have been there....the vegetable timbale is outstanding---so the wife says! Full bar with a great variety of wines reasonably priced. If you have room for dessert, we highly recommend the raspberry crumble with ice cream--YUM! See ya again next summer!

We stayed at the Hotel McCall on our recent weekend trip and decided to venture into Ruperts for dinner. After seeing all the good reviews we thought we were in for a great meal but the meal fell short for us. Both my husband and I were so confused over the hype after we wrapped up our dinner here. My husband ordered the Shrimp Scampi and did not enjoy it at all, he said it was very bland . I ordered the Salmon Special which I too thought was bland and no where close worth the $27 price tag. The sauce that came with the salmon quite honestly seemed as if it came out of a bottle, the kind of sweet and spicy sauce you get with egg rolls in a Chinese restaurant. Not at all the expectation you have for a James Beard award nominee. Unfortunately we won't be returning to Ruperts on our next visit to McCall. The food comes no where close to living up to the reviews or price points. Overrated.

We stayed in the hotel which was amazing, and so we went down for a glass of wine and we had such a great time talking to the staff that we stayed for dinner ,we had the FedEx fresh fish special which was amazing. The chef in this restaurant is top notch. The bar tender was "Dan" and he is a great asset to the company.Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Thanks Dan, we hope to see you again next time we are in McCall. John and Lois

Great view, great food! We took advantage of the Chef's Tasting Special on Monday night which gave us soup or salad, trout with quinoa and a mango salsa, plus dessert (I had the crumble, which was stellar) for $25 per person. Plus the lake view and good service, I think it's the best price for higher-end dining, especially considering the chef was recently nominated for a James Beard award.

Decent food, friendly (yet unimpressive) service, in a great location. Worthwhile, but nothing special. At $34 for my entree, I shouldn't hear "Keep your knife" from the server.

We ate there on a Thai Thursday night and it was really terrific! The beef in the curry dish just melted in your mouth. An unexpected pleasure in the backwoods. Not only was the food excellent but the service also rates 5 stars.

This is connected to Hotel McCall. The view of the lake is amazing. The food was pretty delicious. The dessert was by far the best part! No kid friendly, and a little dressier.

I had a great steak with apargus and mash potatoes for a great price! I think it is a great spot for a nice, but somewhat casual dinner in McCall. I will go back again.

Outstanding food, service, ambiance and location. Located in an historic hotel with a gorgeous view of the lake. I partake in some of America's finest and would certainly come again. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I spent the past week in McCall, ID, which sits on Lake Payette. Over the course of the week, we tried just about every establishment that was open...Rupert's was by far my favorite!

Located inside the legendary Hotel McCall, this casual fine dining restaurant has it all. Large windows overlooking the Payette Lake and mountains and a great menu. We were there on a Thursday evening when the special offering was a full prime rib dinner for $19.95, and an amazing linguine carbonara for around $15. All meals were very satisfying and reasonably priced. Service was very good. Be sure to try the moist muffin desert! A true gem in McCall, where the dining possibilities can be a little on the space side.

Started with artichoke asiago crostine. Very good but bread seemed day old .Kind of hard to bite through. House salad was a mixed green with apples and blue cheese with a cranberry vinagrette. Very fresh and delicious. Hubby had beef tenderloin which was perfectly cooked and had tasty mashed potatoes. Unable to discern the flavor in the potatoes, we asked Nick, our polite and friendly waiter what it was. He said it was cheddar and garlic. Yum. I had the duck which came in a huckleberry/cranberry sauce with brown rice and asparagus. The view is overlooking the new park area near marina. The city did a very nice job on that area. Very pedestrian friendly. It was a nice evening and we enjoyed it very much. Now it's back to camp to make a rip-roaring fire. AAh! What more can you ask for.
