Outstanding microbrewery with a great selection of beer choices and a fairly exceptional assortment of food choices. The hamburgers were delicious and a full 8 ounces. Onion rings and fries were delicious. The next day we came back and tried the pulled pork sandwich---delicious! This is a great local place that warrants a visit!

Stopped in for a brew while walking around McCall. We sat at the bar and we served almost immediately. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the beer selection and guided us in the right direction. She was very personable as well. I came to McCall City Brewery a year before during winter carnival for dinner and had a horrible experience. Safe to say this time was completely opposite, I'll be back for more brews! Thanks!

This is fish country but asked anyways if the fish is fresh. Server didn't know. She asked someone and it's frozen. Got the veggie sandwich (cheese + guac on grilled sourdough) and it was incredibly tasty. Hubby got the French dip and hef and really enjoyed both. We are in McCall for 2 days and will be back. Even though we didn't want dessert or another hef, the waitress didn't ask and just brought us the check.

Beer and Food Quality: Excellent Customer Service: Poor The beer I had was excellent: Hefe, Brown & IPA. I wanted the Hippy Hopped Pale Ale. It wasn't on tap and they wouldn't sell me it even though they had it in bottles. The manager said it was the owners policy. Well, whatevs ... only the government can keep customers by not giving them what they want. Now I know why they have a 3-star rating on yelp. Also, the manager wasn't too concerned that our food took forever to arrive to the table. But when it finally arrive, it was splendid. Next I'm trying the Salmon River Brewery ... the McCall Brewing Company owners and wait staff should watch Restaurant Impossible to learn a few management tips from Robert.

I told the brewmaster Edgar that I home brew and he proceeded to tell me how annoying it is that people always come in and tell him that. He gave a 10 minute speech about how home brewing is nothing like commercial brewing and how irritating it is to always have people being excited thinking they are like him. He said it's the equivalent to a woman coming in and telling their Chef that she liked their food and she cooks at home for her kids. It was very offensive when you are sharing a passion of good beer at a BREWERY. I decided not to eat after this and left after only one beer. The Dopplebock beer tastes good however. Even if the food is good we are leaving to a more pleasant restaurant who maybe won't be so offensive. Today one brewer got burned apparently and the brewmaster rattled on about how he is such an idiot and that he had warned him a hundred times not to raise the hot water pipe to drain it like he had etc etc. Bad personalities can ruin the entire experience. Out female bar waitress was very pleasant however so maybe we will try it again for a second chance.

I really, really like this cool place. I've been here twice when visiting Cascade. Their beers are delicious and unique. I got the Coconut Porter but also tried the Wobbly Man, Lemon Ginger, and Hoppy Hippie--all were delicious. The Wobbly Man is a smoked scotch ale which was very unique and delicious. I highly recommend. Also the Lemon Ginger one was really, really good. Well balanced flavors. The service was good. The food was delicious. I love the fried jalapenos. Great burgers too. They recently got some sweet artwork done for each of their beers. My husband and I each purchased a t-shirt and wished we could take the whole line up home--the art was so cool! T-shirts fit really well and are flattering on both of us. We will definitely return on our next trip to Idaho!

Love going here! The atmosphere is great! The prices are a little high in my opinion. I got a salad with some shrimp on it that totaled to about $17. I finished the whole salad with ease. It was a very yummy salad though! I love their coconut porter! You should at least sample it! Sit on the deck if there's room!

Great atmosphere on the rooftop deck. Beer was good and the servers were accommodating for our kids. We went back for dinner and were pleased. We had blackened steak and chicken, nachos, salad, steamer clams and a couple of kids entrees. Try the Macinaw Red, Lemon Ginger and Kilowatt beers.

Came here while on a motorcycle trip to MT and WA. I had a dinner salad (average) and beer cheese soup which was awesome. The beer was fantastic. I had a lemon ginger Hefeweizen that was pretty darn good and ICE COLD.

Nowhere better than the rooftop deck to spend a few hours on a summer night. Amazing beers on tap, and the portobello tacos were outstanding.

I went here for my first time during the 4th of July week. I have to say I was anything but impressed. We had a table of four and walked in around 1 in the afternoon. We were maybe one of five tables inside. After ordering a couple beers we placed an order for three appetizers, we weren't eating lunch just some snacking. We ordered some clams, nachos and buffalo wings. Pretty basic appetizers or so we thought. After 20 minutes our waitress came over and apologized saying the kitchen was backed up. We looked around and out of the five tables most already had food, how could it possible be backed up? We understood it was a busy time of the year but the restaurant wasn't full. Nearly an hour after initially putting our order in we received our food. Everything as ok. Clam dish was small for the price, the nachos got soggy because the salsa was so watery. The wings were good though, can't complain. Overall, won't be going back here anytime soon. The service was very slow, our waitress wasn't very on top of things and I hate waiting an hour for an appetizer.

If is wasn't for the ginger-lemon hef this place would not exist due to POOR customer service and mediocre food. Used to be a favorite of ours but the service continues to stink. Went in tonight and was offered a table next to the front door. As it is winter and freezing I asked If we could be seated at one of the many open booths. The waitress said no and As I stood there shocked she said "bye-bye" and walked away. With this type of service and a new brewery opening down the street all I can say is "good luck". Save your money and minimize your frustration and avoid this place.

Food - I'm pretty happy with it. One of the better restaurants in McCall. Ambiance - Fine. Not a place to sit in the bar and hang out with friends for a long time, but a good place to grab some food. Decor - It's a good looking place. Service - Each time I've gone, it's been fine. Nothing to rave about, but not disappointing either. Beer - Terrible. Yes, I am giving this place only 2 stars because of their terrible beer. If it was only a restaurant, I might not be so harsh, but they are a brewing company; therefore beer should be a main focus of theirs. I keep going back (about 4 or 5 times), and I always hope that I'll find a beer that at least doesn't actively taste bad, but I haven't yet. Definitely stay away from the smoked scotch ale and the coconut porter. Both of those taste like they have a bunch of fake flavoring added. The kolsh, the red, the pale, and the IPA have all been really disappointing too. I think of their beers as "beer for people who don't like beer". Some folks might like it, but actual beer drinkers tend not to. Bottom line, go there for decent food and OK prices, but if you're looking for a place to hang out or a place with good beer, go somewhere else.

We were meeting people in McCall , I spotted the McCall Brewing Company and we had to go in to sample the beers. My first impression was, "This is what I'd like my brew pub to look like!": beautiful log cabin style décor: very nice. That's where the first great impression ended. The server was nice, but she definitely didn't know much about the beer offering: little if no help in the selection process. The Minimalist Bane IPA was tasty, but tasted more like a pale ale. The Hippie Hopped Pale Ale was hoppier than the Minimalist Bane IPA. The other beers tasted (Mackinaw Red, & Lemon Ginger Hefe) were given OK status. They have a large recipe of brews, but from what we drank and sampled, nothing really stood out as outstanding. Along with the great décor is cool marketing swag: beer posters (great beer art), shirts, pint glasses, growlers, etc. If you're in McCall, check this place out. If you're NOT a beer aficionado, you'll probably love the place and give it a score of 4 or 5 stars.

We came in 2 hours early to watch the BSU Fiesta Bowl. We asked to make a simple swap of two "empty" tables to accommodate us a bit closer to the TV (that are pretty small for a bar). The manager said it would "overload" one of her servers stations. Really? We were swapping a 6 person table for a 4 person. I talked with the manager and she said, "we'll be full anyway." Probably true, but not with us! And it won't be full for long with this kind of service. I would recommend Salmon River Brewery, Lardo's, Chapalas or anywhere else. Please don't patronize people who are rude.

This was our second visit. We ate here a couple years ago and thought it was pretty good. We had lunch on a Sunday and ate on the rooftop. I had the buffalo chicken salad and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Both meals were excellent. My husband likes dark beers and sampled several. He had a hard time choosing because he liked everything. We shared a creme brule for dessert. The service was excellent. The only downside were the prices. They were a tad high for some dishes for lunch. They don't have lunch specials so you'll probably spend at least $30 after tipping for two entrees.

We come here every time we are in McCall. The beer is good, the food is good, and the service is good. The look and the feel of the place is great. They have about a dozen beers--like most breweries, some are better than others. I love the chicken pesto sandwich. The nachos though are a disappointment. Prices are reasonable. We will be back!

Always thought their beers were drinkable (some of them anyway) and their food was okay but after the their "official concert after party" stunt, we won't be returning. Claiming you are the place to go after a concert across the street, only to charge a $10 cover to get in (with no guarantee of a seat after paying) is a joke. In fact, after walking away, I found a couple of fun places to hang out late night in McCall that wasn't ripping me off at the door. I'll be patronizing my new finds in the future rather than MBC.

Pulled pork was amazing. Smoked in the back of the store. The food was delicious and the beer was tasty and unique. Would return again! Comfortable atmosphere

Good atmosphere & great food! Recommend the pesto chicken sandwich!! Others ordered the Spicy Bleu Burger or the McCall burger with a side of fries and loved it.

We went here for a late lunch while the rest of our group was out goofing around. Not a lot of parking available, but we managed to find a spot. We were seated promptly. Waited for water... waited... finally waitress says she will be right with us from the table next to ours... waited... waited. Ordered a couple appetizers, and some drinks... waited... waited. I would guess at this point that the place is packed. But I look around to see its maybe half full or less. Chips and salsa were good. Bottomless bowl of chips. Guac tastes like I made it. Pretty good stuff. Onion rings were good too. I had a sampler of the Stout, IPA, Amber, the Wobbly Man Smoked Scotch ale, cant recall the others. Amber was kind of M'eh. Wobbly Man is alright. IPA was okay, The Stout was okay. I'm wondering if its their yeast. Everything I tasted of theirs just was "okay". Almost like they're playing it safe to appeal to the "Fizzy Yellow Beer" drinkers. I mean, when even their "stout" isn't very stout, I have to wonder. But.. that's the beauty of brewing. Everybody likes different stuff. I personally, just wasn't overwhelmed with McCall Brewery's beer. Some may love it.. I've had better. I guess in the end it was the mediocre service that turned me off. She was very nice, don't get me wrong. But slow. Everything was just soooo slow. Even when it wasn't very busy. I realize there seems to be an inordinate number of demanding, arrogant ostentatious jacka$$e$ visiting McCall, but we weren't them. So why act like every customer is like that. Food was acceptable, beer was okay, but the nail in the coffin was the uber slow service. I wont go back on a holiday weekend, that's for certain.

I will say right off the bat that I had no problem with service like others have mentioned. The service I had was great. We didn't eat food, however, and just drank a few beers. Their beer list is pretty big and they have rotatiing seasonsals. Still, there were about 9 beers to try. Their Doppel Bock as quite excellent as was their Mackinaw Red. They have a sampler for $8 which gives you 5 beers to try in about 3 oz. pours. Not a bad way to check out their selections.

Having come to McCall every year for the majority of my life we decided to try here for a change. The service was good, our waitress was pleasant and attentive, the food however we had was pretty mediocre. We had the Beer Cheese soup which is made from their beer run off so as the waitress explained its never the same from day to day depending on what kind of beer they use. Honestly it was more like hot beer with a little melted cheese than soup. We also had the nachos which were supposed to have spicy chicken but I never did find any chicken on the entire plate. The servings are quite large and prices are fairly reasonable for a resort town, it's just too bad the food wasn't better

Pretty sure the waiter is stoned. Could n't bring what was asked twice ... beer sucks and food ..chicken piccata was over cooked and noodles so dry you could choke... meat balls overcooked. . Eat here only if your drunk or starving.

I've been going here for about 8 years and they consistently have decent food. A great stop after a day of skiing. Most of the other food I've tried from the menu has been good. Nothing amazing, but nothing disappointing. I recommend trying a sampler of their beers and sharing the hummus plate as an appetizer (or eating the whole thing as a meal if you're not too hungry).

Decided to give McCall Brewing Company a shot for dinner. Walked in, waited to be seated. Waitress came up asking if we wanted to sit inside or upstairs on the deck. She then stepped directly in front of me and paused as we were headed upstairs. Arrived upstairs sat down to find out the menu had less items on it and they did not serve their beer sampler upstairs. We decided to go back downstairs. We go back downstairs, wait to be seated. We mentioned that we came back downstairs for the samplers. We were told to go sit in the bar. As we were walking in, the waitress turned and asked ,(very rudely) if one in our party was 21. She then proceeded to confiscate the water glass from my husband saying those glasses are for upstairs, and she'd bring him a new one. We sat down, she came by and asked what beers the guys wanted for their samplers, that they had 4 to pick. Then mentioned that they were out of 3 beers that were still being advertised to try. She never asked the ladies what we wanted. She just turned and walked away. Fifteen minutes later she brought the beers, which turned out to be 5 samplers, and asked what we wanted. As we were ordering she kept correcting how we were wording what we wanted. Very condescending. All our meals came with fries, you could get rings, salad, or mashed potatoes for an up charge. The way she asked, made it sound like they were straight across options. "Do you want fries, rings, salad or mashed potatoes?" She should have said your orders come with fries, for $1.79 you can choose to have rings, salad or mashed potatoes. Finally our food came, it was decent, not great. At one point she came by and filled our water glasses. Her thumb was in the water pitcher, pretty gross. The bar area was inundated with flies, we were constantly swatting. Her name was Monique, beware of this server. Upstairs and downstairs seemed as if they were two different restaurants. FYI: $8 for 5 4 oz sampler of beer. Am giving them the lowest rating I can. The beer was good.

Didn't get the full experience to rate this place better but their beer was good and the service was okay. No one came to ask for our order but we were still able to get what we needed and the staff was nice. I will have to come back again soon and adjust my rating accordingly.

atmosphere is a little drab, and for an $11 dollar burger that meat is fairly low grade and gross. They could benefit from stepping it up a bit.

The beer was decent. Coconut porter is probably the best creation. Last call is around 9ish which is about an hour or two early. I asked the bar tender if she had any brown or amber ales and she said she had plenty while pointing to the beer list. They didn't have any brown or Ambers, just IPA's, a red and a porter. She didn't understand the difference. There wasn't an open stool at the bar and they gave last call at 9:15pm. Save your money and just go to the mill.

I was in McCall for the weekend and ordered the McCall burger at this restaurant. I was excited to indulge in a juicy burger but instead experienced a soggy bun, grilled onions that didn't really taste like grilled onions, and a meat patty that looked and tasted like it had been previously frozen and did not taste good. I could barely eat 1/4 of the burger and had to satisfy my hunger with my fries (which were fairly good) instead. I hoped the server would ask how my food was since clearly most of my plate was full, but she didn't so I didn't bother complaining. Anyway, not the best!

McCall doesn't stay open particularly late, so we were happy to be seated at 9:30 pm (they close at 10). We got a (humongous) hummus plate and some steak sandwiches that were good, as were the fries. The food arrived promptly and the staff was gracious.

After letting poor customer service and inconsistent food quality slide I am forced to review the McCall Brewing Company after my most recent visit... I called in a pickup order after a long day on the mountain and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived the hostess told us to wait in the bar while she checked on our order... After 20 minutes we revisited our hostess to find out if our order was on its way. She responded with an attitude and told us she would find out how much longer. She came out of the kitchen looking confused and avoided us. After about 10 more minutes the bartender who had probably heard us complaining went back to the kitchen and quickly returned to tell us they had lost our order and were just now making it. Not sure why the hostess didn't figure out the order was lost the three times she went to the kitchen to "check on our order" When we finally got home the food was sloppy and thrown together and they had forgotten a few things we ordered including the gravy for the mashed potatoes. Like I said this is not the first negative experience I have had at this restaurant and I will not be returning. Bad service, so-so food and high prices. There are plenty of great places to eat in McCall, we don't need McCall Brewing Company.

This is your brew pub in McCall. Superior beer, better (more chill) atmosphere, yummier nosh, and a lovely deck. Even their swag is cooler. I'm definitely a fan of MBC, fo sho. These folks are friendlier and the vibe is all-around nicer than the place down the street. If you're going to spend your hard-earned money on beer and food, this is the place. Cheers!

Beer sample was awesome! Favorites include: Lemon Ginger Hefeweizer, Mackinaw Red, and Hippie Hopped Pale Ale. We tried the Ahi Salad and although it wasn't the best I've ever had it was quite good. Ahi was topped with sesame seeds and seared perfectly. Fries weren't anything to write home about. Our server was awesome! Very attentive and although new, was happy to answer all our questions (and find out the answers she didn't know).

The BEER is fantastic at this location(Kitchen not so much), the coconut porter is put together perfectly. I brew at home and would never have thought of coconut in a porter! Please go here for their selection of excellent beer. That being said, the kitchen side of this establishment is horrifically unorganized. We had ordered our food at about one in the afternoon, we were quite happy with our flight of beers when we realized that a half an hour had gone by without our food. The waitress stopped by a few minutes later to tell us that the kitchen is backed up and she was terribly sorry. I went to the restroom which happened to be near the kitchen, there were several wait staff snapping at the kitchen crew about ticket times. At Seventy minutes after our food order the waitress came by to tell us that the kitchen never received our order!!! she apologized and said she would put our order in again. At that point it had been an hour and a half and we needed to be back in cascade for an event, so we declined. The waitress did comp us our beer flight and pint of beer, she also hung her kitchen crew out to dry (odd thing to do if this was a fluke occurrence) by showing us the order slip she put into the POS system. Next time i'll just fill a growler or order a pint and go elsewhere for food.

My burger I ordered was real delicious. We sat up top on a beautiful day. Service was really good and fast. They have some real good beers. I love the look of they pace. It was so good we will make sure we stop in next time!

There seem to be some reviews mentioning poor service however that was not our experience. Came here for lunch with a friend/co-worker and we were greeted by a friendly woman who seated us and then our server came over and was very pleasant and helpful (when we had special requests and substitutions). I ordered the portobello burger and my friend had a steak salad. Both tasty and came out just as we had ordered. The food wasn't greasy or to "heavy" which was nice for lunch. The menu had a pretty good section of veggie options (other than salads) which is always appreciated! We didn't drink any of the beer but they seemed to have a nice selection and verity. The location is good and central to everything happening in town.
