This new restaurant continues to surprise with inventive Peruvian Cuisine and traditional favorites. The ceviche is a sensational summer appetizer, but could also be a light entree, the portion is so large and served in a big martini glass. The grilled artichoke is also a great starter. Rotisserie chicken is the specialty, but the menu is carried with lots of shellfish and other fresh seafood. Last night, the specialty was Puget Sound oysters with either lemon juice or the ceviche sauce. The wine list offers some accessible South American Malbecs as well as Napa standbys and economical carafe house wines that pair well with the cuisine. We have returned again and again to this little Peruvian bistro, and now the terrace is open for summer.

This gem is Ketchum's new best deal for a fantastic dinner. We ended up here on a date night whim and couldn't have been more pleased with the delightful service and exceptional food. The chef, Jhony, takes great pride is his authentic Peruvian cuisine and it shows in each dish we had. The ceviche was fresh and tangy while our entrees were savory and hearty. The chicken was full of flavor and perfectly moist. Do yourself a favor and skip the over priced steaks you'll find elsewhere in town and stop by JC's instead. You won't be disappointed.

Such a sweet cozy new place in Ketchum. Food is beautifully presented, great portion size, very reasonable prices and all 4 of us loved everything we ordered - ceviche, lomo steak, ribs- but all with sauces to die for. The owner Johnny is from the Andes in Peru and is very welcoming.

Excellent service and the trout was awesome, plus yummy grilled vegetables. My husband had the chicken which was also delicious and the flan for dessert was fantastic!

I am a local here and heard a lot of buzz about this place. Many restaurants of been here before. I had amazing meal here just now. I went with the specialty of the house rotisserie chicken and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

The food was delightful. I had the ceviche which I enjoyed. The quinoa salad was good too. We sat outside on on a lovely evening. The sound of the band at Lefty's was so loud, we could hardly hear each other. They would have gotten at least 4stars if the service was better. We were there about two hours, waiting about an hour for our food. The two servers were frantic, but kind. They had difficulty with their english, which made the situation worse. Hopefully they will work out their kinks.

Wonderful. Attentive and friendly service, the ceviche was amazing - big chunks of fresh snapper, but Jonny said he uses whatever is most fresh - and not for the faint of citrus, he hand squeezes all the juice. I had the quarter chicken as my entree and it was juicy, crispy, and everything but the heart of the bones was soft and perfect. If you've never tried eating the cartilage at the end of a drumstick, try it here. You may even wind up eating some of the marrow...the chicken is just that perfectly cooked and tasty.

I've seen Peruvian restaurants come and go in this little town, with their food being subpar. Not JC's. It was one of the best Peruvian restaurants I have ever been to and I've been to many on both coasts. We were a group of eight with three of us being Peruvian, and we wanted our friends to get a good taste of the food and all of its flavors. We were not disappointed to say the least. We ordered everything from choros a la chalaca, lomo saltado, aji de gallina, ceviche, arroz chaufa, papa a la huancaina and a few bottles of their Malbec. WOW. AMAZING FLAVORS and very well prepared, down to the presentation. Of course, it wouldn't have been complete without some dessert. I will for sure be coming back every time I visit Sun Valley. For those visiting the area, if you would like to get a taste of true South American/Peruvian cuisine, this place is your only and best option. The chef was kind enough to come and greet us. The customer service overall was excellent. We left very full and very satisfied.

We were so happy to have found "Jhony's" or JC's! The food was phenomenal! You must try the grilled artichoke and the fried rice dish with chicken was wonderful! The atmosphere was great and so was the service! One of the best meals we have ever had in Ketchum or anywhere else for that matter! We will be going back!

Thank you Yelp for alerting us to JC's Peruvian Cuisine, having earned some very good reviews here. The number of very good dinner establishments in the Sun Valley area has been shrinking in recent years and JC's is a welcome addition. And Peruvian food would not have otherwise attracted us. We were not disappointed. First be warned, the layout of the restaurant can be confusing as there are two restaurants in the same building. Directly across from Leftys is a deck with tables. The door in the center of the building behind the deck leads to a restaurant, but this is not JC's, it is the entry to Rominnas restaurant. The entry to JC's is the door on the far left. The tables on the deck however are JC's and make for a lovely al fresco dining as the elevated deck is tucked away on a relatively quiet street in West Ketchum. Our appetizers were both outstanding. The grilled artichoke was smoky and flavorful, and easily consumed as prepared and presented. The cerviche was yellow snapper, fresh and tasty. This dish can come with heat and you are asked to calibrate your preference on a one to ten scale - mild to hot. This always creates a dilemma at a new restaurant, not knowing how hot a ten is. Overhearing a neighboring table complain that their dish was too spicy, I changed my request from a four to a two. At two the heat was very faint. I will try a 4-5 next time. And there will be a next time. Rotisserie chicken is the signature dish here. This is not your Costco/Safeway chicken. It is perfectly seasoned, and the seasoning penetrates the meat throughout. Mine was perfectly done, moist and tender. You can choose either white or dark meat. I opted for a 1/2 chicken (1/4 portion is always offered) with both white and dark. And although I generally favor white, as prepared and seasoned the dark meat was the better of the two. Another dish wotth considering are the mussels, as a fellow diner described it as one of the best mussel dishes he had ever had.

Ok food. Different name, so maybe new owners? The service was great! We enjoyed sitting out on the patio with all the beautiful flowers. The location is great.

A "best of" restaurant. Best of what? Pretty much everything. Food and service are exceptional. Run, don't walk to this amazing Peruvian restaurant.

The halibut special was delicious! Tender flaky boneless fish topped with crunchy breadcrumbs... peruvian potato underneath, and under that a bed of wilted spinach and sautéed snow peas. Our waitress was polite and so friendly. Soccer game on the flat screen and jazz on the radio - perfect! The Argentinian white wine was served at just the right temperature and tasted like a fine pino grigio. We would certainly return to this terrific place.

Grilled artichoke was excellent, quinoa salad as well. We shared the seafood soup (parahuela) and the flan (cremata volteada. Excellent meal.

How do they make a chicken taste so good?! (Dark chicken meat doesn't appeal to me but I was actually tempted to eat it on my 1/2 chicken dinner. I'm not embarrassed to admit that instead, I picked the bones dry on the breast part.) An even more pressing question - how do they make a simple green salad taste so amazing? We're so happy to have this new food choice in Ketchum. The food is outstanding, the restaurant is cute and comfortable, and the waitstaff is delightful. Five stars on all accounts.

I cannot say enough good things about J.C's Peruvian Cuisine. Service - The staff was friendly, enthusiastic and informative. We met Jhony who was gracious and lovely... We were taken care of and the recommendations were perfect. Food - You begin the meal with some fried yuca root with a unique Peruvian "fry sauce." Can't go wrong with that! We ordered the ceviche. It was flavorful, fresh and unlike any other ceviche I've ever tried. Perfect, unique and carefully presented... And the portion size was incredible for the price. The Gorgonzola Beet Salad and Caprese salad tasted fresh, without relying on preservative-packed dressings to bring the flavor home. Simply lovely. Finally, I ordered the Lomo Salado (beef), while Andrew ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken. Both were excellent. I must say, the spicy, zesty sauces served with the entrees were incredible - but the entrees absolutely stood on their own without the sauces... Just icing on the cake. Speaking of cake, we had no room for dessert... But maybe next time!! I highly recommend J.C's. If you haven't been yet, YOU'RE MISSING OUT.

Wonderful ceviche! The grilled artichoke is tasty and more than enough for two. The papas Huancaina are cooked to perfection with a fantastic sauce. Great wine selections that are reasonably priced. The space is intimate and inviting with a nice outdoor area. The wait staff are extraordinary. It was a memorable meal!

We ate at Jhony's tonight and were blown away. I have spent a lot of time in Peru and adore the cuisine. This meal was as good as any I have had in Lima. We started with the causa, a traditional appetizer with mashed potato, avocado, and seafood - which in this case was king crab. It was spectacular, served with three traditional sauces. My husband had a delicious parihuela, or seafood stew in a tangy tomato broth. I had arroz chaufa, a chinese-peruvian fusion of fried rice with seafood. Each mussel and clam was plump as could be and the rice was delicious and not the least bit greasy. We finished with delicious crema volteada, or flan. Accompanying our meal was a yummy torrontes from one of our favorite Argentine wineries, Colome. The wine list was very impressive. I recommend the restaurant highly, and hope more visitors to Sun Valley will discover it.

What a great addition to the Ketchum dining scene! The grilled artichoke was very good (great dipping sauce) and the rotisserie chicken outstanding . . . moist and full of flavor. My husband's salmon, accompanied by risotto and grilled veggies, was delicious, too. Well-priced and highly recommended.

Authentic Peruvian food that was deliciously prepared and very nicely presented. Jhony, the chef, graciously came out to speak with us twice during our meal. We enjoyed sharing our culinary experiences in Peru with him! And, it was fun being served by Seve, who has deep roots in the Basque country of Northern Spain. He easily conversed in Spanish & English with us and did a great job taking care of us as soon as we stepped into the restaurant even though we didn't have reservations. Their wine list was nice! We drank a Decoy cab for $32 which is the retail price - good deal! Now for the food...we shared the ceviche which was excellent (we asked for a "7 out of 10" heat level and it was perfect). Loved the quinoa salad which was also perfect to share. I had the lomo saltado which was tender & savory and my husband had "aji pollo", nicely spiced chicken. Jhony's wife made a delicious flan that was to die for!! We'll definitely return! This place is a jewel that's bound to succeed once the word gets out!!

Why didn't I try this restaurant sooner? I stopped in at last tonight to check out the menu. The sign says Rotisserie Chicken, but the menu is so much more. I ended up ordering the Ceviche, made with fresh yellowtail, and Parihuela (seafood soup) to go. Both were amazing. If you've thought about trying this restaurant, go there now! If you haven't thought about trying it, go there now!
