Small, intimate, cozy atmosphere with wonderful hospitality, service and food. Everything was delicious. We were enticed by a tantalizing aroma from the smoker as we entered the restaurant. Much to our delight, this aroma came from the Huckleberry ribs which were one of the specials this evening. We also enjoyed the tortellini soup and the Mediterranean quesadilla. Delicious warm bread topped off the experience. We had no room for dessert, though we're sure it would have been fantastic. We WILL be back!

A hidden treasure in Hayden. We always enjoy eating here. We were with a group of 8 recently; the food was great and our friends enjoyed their meals, especially the "potato" desserts. I appreciated the great service. When the food came out everyone got the correct meal without being asked. This is a great out of the way place to take your wife for a nice quiet meal, or reserve the back room for a small group of friends.

Great place for a quiet date night. The place is a house converted to a cozy restaurant and only a few tables per room, making it intimate. Food is good, in some cases great. NOT a place to bring kids or a group.

Charming atmosphere, delicious food freshly prepared for you. Menu is small but every entree I have tried is worth repeating. Can't say enough about the combination of fine food, quiet soothing music, and warm ambiance. Delightful experience in every way!

Oh Lordy!!! How has this little gem not been reviewed yet?! I've been meaning to try this place for the past few years, but haven't made it in until now. The atmosphere here is laid back casual/dressy where friends or couples can gather for a nice, mellow time. My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night and we were there for almost two hours and we were the only souls dinning there at that time. It was nice and quiet, the owner/hostess/server only frequented out a few times during our dining experience, I expect they try to leave you alone to enjoy yourself. We started out with the bruschetta for an appetizer, it was good, probably in the top five of bruschetta's I've had. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I ended up ordering the special, a Squash Gorgonzola Tart, and I'm glad i did. It was bursting with flavor, creamy, then topped off with fresh basil and roma tomatoes. It was so tasty that I could've had two, since my friend couldn't stop stealing bites off my plate. My friend had the Tilapia with mango salsa. She said it was good, and that she was impressed that they didn't cover it with the salsa, like most restaurants would do to cover up the fish. We both ended the night with trying their bread pudding. Now, this is a warning, my friend and I are huge bread pudding snobs. If a restaurant that we've visited had bread pudding for dessert, one of us has ordered it to see if it's up to snuff. So far, I would put theirs in the top three of the Coeur d'Alene/Spokane area, which is pretty darn good....we've had a lot!! This one was warm, large, and topped with cinnamon apples and huckleberries.....large huckleberries. If you haven't tried this little place and/or you're looking for a laid back atmosphere, not a chain and has good food at fair prices, then give the Kynrede Cafe a try one evening.

Not good at all. I really wanted to give it a positive review but it was just yucky. I had the Lamb Shank. Now I have cooked them in the past and I know it takes some time. This one was clearly pre-cooked, frozen, then reheated in the microwave. It was tasteless, or should I say it tasted like the freezer. Sorry owners and chef. You need to step it up.

Delicious dinner for two at Kynrede Cafe last week. Food was great, chef/owner knows his stuff. Salmon cooked to perfection, as ordered, still moist inside. Very intimate, chef/owner also was our server. Quite pleased!

Starting with a glass of White Zinfandel wine, a small salad and fresh piping hot bread to start. The main entrée was the best liver & onions I ever had. Served with mountain potatoes in sauce and mixed vegetables. Dessert was pumpkin crème brûlée and a cup of coffee. It was awesome, service was ok but the rest made up for it!

Awesome! Small location, but amazingly cozy and quaint. It feels like your the only one's there! We went on a friday night and there were only two small groups all night. We sat outside and had a great dinner. Reasonably priced food and wine. Definitely going to make it a regular in our dining out.
