Same great sandwiches I've come to enjoy. The Hunters Club is my favorite.

Had my first Jimmy John's experience and am left pondering what all the fuss is about. I'm wondering if given the fact that Jimmy John's has such a loyal following, I was expecting something a bit more fabulous? Don't get me wrong. They make a decent sub. They do. The ingredients are all quite fresh and if I found myself in the vicinity of 6th & Main (great location!) with the hankering for a sub, I would venture here again. The inside was impeccably clean, the service was friendly and efficient, and my BLT sub was solid. The thing is...they DO dub their sandwiches "gourmet" and I would have to say they fall far short of that mark. Bleubird offers gourmet sandwiches. Jimmy John's offers solid subs with chain style consistency (which is to say--wherever you find them, there they'll be, exactly as you're expecting them to be). Which, frankly, is something I'm occasionally in the mood for. Even so...if I was on the prowl for sub style sammy--I can think of better options in this, our Valley of Treasures. If you happen by, head in--but I wouldn't go out of my hungry way for it.

Ordered a Club Tuna and was disappointed to learn it came standard on the French bread (sub style). When I questioned it, I was told the square shaped "wheat bread is upon request." Isn't that what makes a club sandwich a club sandwich??? When I ordered a club sandwich, didn't I essentially "request" square bread? If I'd wanted a sub, I would have ordered the Totally Tuna sub... which is basically what I got, only I was charged an extra $1.25 for the second piece of cheese that comes standard on the Club Tuna. Really!? That said, JJ's does serve up a fairly tasty sammy which is why they're getting three stars.

I love me the Jimmy Johns! It nice and close to the capitol, I can walk to it from the client site, enjoy lunch at a picnic table and meander back all in under an hour. The set up isn't my favorite, enter thru a door, get to the center, order, then depending which cash register you ordered at, you kind of make a clover leaf. Cross traffic can get dicey! Menu is the same everywhere, quality and bread are as expected and as i love! Quick, friendly staff and not bad on the wallet!

My husband and I both love jimmy johns. We have eaten at this one as well as ordered delivery from them and we have always been very happy with the service. When they say freaky fast delivery, they definitely mean it. We live off of warmsprings avenue and this is the location that offers deliveries to us. All their deliveries are done on bicycles and they still get it to us about 15-20 minutes after we order. Everywhere else around us usually takes 40 minutes to an hour to deliver. The food tastes great and the people who work there are always really friendly. It's one of our favorite fast food restaurants in boise.

Yep, they really are freaky fast. Wind, rain or scorching heat they always show up at the office within minutes of ordering online. I think out of the dozens of times I've ordered they messed up once but were very willing to come back with a new sandwich.

I was the biggest advocate of this place since inception at this location. Their subs were great! Their service was insanely fast, and the price point seemed to fit very well with their product, etc. I have probably ordered subs there for years now. My last experience was disappointing. Maybe it was a bad day, I don't know....but I first noticed the price of subs increased, it seemed to increase to the price of ordering for delivery. Honestly, something I could live with. Then, I ordered my sandwich, there was some confusion compared to my past experiences. Again, not the end of the world by any means. Then....the wait. Maybe I got used to their "freaky fast" service; but on this particular day it was insanely. Slow. Their seemed to be a great deal of confusion behind the counter as well. Some sandwiches which were ordered after mine were completed before....other people in line had incorrect orders. It was definitely frustrating as I was in a hurry and part of the reason I stopped was to get a quick lunch. After standing around for at least 5 mins or more; I got my sandwich, I was slightly annoyed, but figured once I ate I would be happy and move on. Finally, comes the product. So I ordered my usual #16 in wheat bread with my added fixings. I love this sandwich, but the product on this particular day was sub par....so disappointed. The lettuce was old looking, and there was hardly any on the sub....just looked like it had been thrown together very hastily. What it finally came down to for me was 1) you increased the price 2) the service has declined along with a price increase and 3) your product was nothing like what I am used to, it cost more, and it took forever. Not necessarily a recipe for success.

This is the worst place every. Second time I received poor service. Complained to manager and they did not care. Will not be back!

Seriously so good. These guys put a sticker on your wrapped sandwich, "subs so fast you'll freak." I had just ordered my ham-inspired sandwich when the sandwich guy called it out and handed it to me. It was crazy. With fast service and high-quality food, it's no wonder people rave about Jimmy Johns. They deliver and the guys hopped on their bikes with massive amounts of sandwiches; one of them even carried a box in his left arm. Seeing as how I'm a sandwich girl, I have a feeling I'll be frequenting Jimmy Johns when I head into Boise. With good food and good prices, why wouldn't I?

Great location downtown. Right in the hub of everything. Went in and was greeted by 4 adorable guys, who gave me the "whole schpeel" since i had never been into one of their restaurants before. It was too funny. I ordered a B.L.T. on their original bread with added avocado spread. The bread really is delicious. The sandwiches are made in like 3.4 seconds. My friend ordered a pickle, which at first i was like ?? really! But they really are AMAZING. So worth it. Lots of great sitting options, and loud music. Perfect addition to downtown boise, I will definitely be in again!

I'll be honest, the sandwiches aren't terribly bad but...I have serious issues with JJ's! When I want a sandwich I want to order it with the items of my choice (without paying extra!) The "kids menu" is pathetic...they only offer 8" "Plain Slims" which consist of meat and bread (cheese is extra and you have to put on the mayo and mustard). If you want produce on your slim, you have to pay for an upgraded sandwich. Also, my kid is 2 years old...it would take her a week to eat an 8" sandwich...total ripoff. Next, I paid nearly $7 for a sandwich with lettuce and tomato and when I asked for peppers, these bastards charged me an extra $0.57 cents! This place blows...small selection of sandwiches and (once you add all the "extras" like peppers and cheese) you end up paying a ridiculous amount for a sandwich. Two stars because the delivery is fast and, when you're starving, it fills a void. Otherwise...go to Subway and get a sandwich the way you want it for less! JJ's can suck it!

I must admit that I've only eaten here after consuming a few drinks. But Jimmy's is open till 3am, and after years of nothing but pizza and pitas open that late in downtown Boise, a sandwich was a nice change of pace. The staff is very friendly and patient with drunk patrons. The deli pickles are enormous and perfectly crunchy. There are a wide range of sandwich options and tons of window seating for prime late-night people watching. I would certainly recommend stumbling into this establishment after a night of festive merry-making. There is, however, a 'no hippies welcome' sign. Perhaps management could be convinced to take this down?

Talk about scoring a prime location: 6th and Main in downtown, the hub of late-night debauchery. My two visits here have been while sober, but I think this place is good enough for a late-night snack to sop up the booze. Despite being a chain and probably having nearly everything coming off of a Sysco truck, it wasn't too bad, and I'll agree that it's a nice option to have late at night now. The menu is kept very simple: a handful of options for submarine sandwiches, and 10 or so options for club sandwiches. For the club sandwiches, you get your option of the French roll that they use for the subs or multi-grain bread that looked quite small. All of the subs come in 8-inch sizes-- that's it. So if you have a big appetite, there's a chance that nothing on the menu will completely satiate you. I tried their biggest sandwich called the Gargantuan, which had a ton of toppings jammed into my roll like sardines. Yet I still wasn't completely satisfied and could've used a foot-long version for my stomach to be content. They're also big on getting it to you as fast as humanly possible. Personally I don't care as long as the speed used doesn't lead to shortchanging or screwing up my order, but if you're in a hurry then this would have its advantages. Prices range from $3.50 for their bare-bones sandwiches to $7.50 for the Gargantuan. I wouldn't consider it a destination sandwich shop, but it's good enough if you're in the area, and it's a viable alternative to the Pita Pit for some late-night eating.

They advertise as "the best gourmet subs" they are good, but certainly not the best. The chips are yummy and they do make a super quick sub. I would give 3.5 stars if possible.

Great place to eat when your wasted. Sandwiches aren't that great. Would give it a two stars for their food + one star for being open so late. My dog likes the leftovers. haha
