Good beer and atmosphere. I had Tavern Style Halibut which was two scrawny pieces for $14.95 OUCH!

This place is great! I especially love the patio seating and steak fingers. Also like the beer on tap. Everyone is friendly and the service is great. Fun place to relax, grab some food and a beer with friends : )

Bad food in a dirty restaurant. Three of us went, since we were out in the Crow Inn neck of the woods. Our table was sticky with something on the surface, and flies were buzzing around. Two of us got the regular salad, which was nothing more than plain chopped iceberg - nothing else. My $9.99 fish and chips entree was two lonely small pieces of white fish very darkly cooked in the fryer and dumped alone onto a plate - ugh! Another of our group got the steamers - Ben's claim to fame. They were overdone and rubbery. Wish i could give them a zero.

Fun for family and kids of any ages!!! When the kids are out playing by the stream or on the makeshift base ball playground adults can sit back relax and have a nice cold beverage. Sadly the food fell flat to the laid back atmosphere. This dive is a summer treasure that I urge all to come and enjoy. If you are planing to dine here during our. Frigid winter months I would urge you to wait the inside is musty and can bece very chaotic at times!!!

I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately it was just really overpriced for what you paid (in my opinion). FYI, they have a "daily special", but both times that we have gone, they have always been out of it and we then had to order more expensive food. On the plus side, they give you a discount for paying in cash. Kind of a neat atmosphere and location.

My wife and I have always loved the Crow Inn, but the last time we went we got the mozzarella sticks and steak fingers, which were okay. Later that night my wife claimed she felt nauseous, and about 30 minutes later was vomiting. About an hour later I also stared to feel sick, but figured it was a placebo from watching her. That wasn't it, we both spent the rest of the night vomiting. In a nutshell, we got food poisoning.

It's a bar. You know that before you even walk through the door. My expectations and review are based on this assumption. Some on here have called it a dive bar, but I don't think so. It's certainly not even remotely fancy, but I have been in true "dive" bars and this place deserves a better adjective than that. The menu is small, but that's ok. Did I mention it was a bar? I know this place is known for fried seafood and steak fingers, but I ordered the cheeseburger. It's plenty big at 1/3 pound. Served with steak fries and mayonnaise.i got the 1/2 1/2 option which was supposed to be 1/2 salad and 1/2 fries. They looked like full portions to me, so that's was a good choice. The fries were hot and decent for what they were. The salad was plain but that's ok. The cheeseburger was good for a plain cheeseburger. It came with onions, salad, and pickle toppings (to add as you see fit). Nothing special about it but it was good and there's nothing wrong with a straight up cheeseburger. Yes, it's a bar. The servers were very friendly. I liked the folks I saw here. I think they get their fair share of "regulars" at Ben's Crow Inn and that is probably one of the reasons their customers come back. They treat you like the friendly, neighborhood bar that it is. Is it the best food ever? No. Is it good value and did I enjoy my meal? Absolutely. Would I eat here again? Sure. Are the people friendly and is it a comfortable place? Sure. It's a bar and if you are looking for a beer and a satisfying casual meal with that context in mind ( or even just a beer ), give 'em a try.

Bucket of clans were good. Service was horrible. Show up an hour before you're hungry, because that's how long you'll wait before your food arrives. We stopped by on the way home from camping in the North Fork and thought we should stop in since it had been a few years since our last visit. As soon as we sat down (near the back by the kitchen) the table across from us was asking the waitress where their food was. The cook in the back yelled "hell, I don't know". We were hungry, so we took our chances and stayed. Hamburger was dry and the finger steaks were just ok. There were only 5 tables full and we were all waiting for food. It's probably a great place to go just for beer and to be left alone. The waitress was a lot friendlier when we got the tab and was ready to leave. I heard that there was new ownership which may have been the problem.

Don't drive too fast, you might just miss this place. I was told these were the best clams in Idaho and when i looked for reviews (3 posts) i was very interested. The last post was about a year ago. Anyways, i took my boss' advice and tried it out. I don't know what an amazing clam is supposed to taste like, but I'm sure they got it right here. The clams are cooked perfectly and the butter and cocktail sauce they provide, just makes it taste so much bettThe steak fingers

This is a solid place for large-scale brewer beer taps and barfood, particularly if you're coming back from the lake late in the evening. Dumpy place, fun vibe, Nice jukebox, and a sandbox with tractors for kids to play off of the patio outback.

One of our favorite places for clams and finger steaks! Great service and great food! They have a great patio for summer outdoor dinning! If you are looking for fancy, don't stop! Great place!

So disappointed! Every spring & summer my husband and I look forward to heading up to the Crow Inn, sitting on the patio, sharing a bucket of clams and a pitcher of beer. We were very disappointed in our visit last night. First our pitcher of beer. When it was delivered to our table, the foam on top was covered with something that looked like ash or dirt, and there was also a small hair on there!! We got a new pitcher, drank it half way down and discovered what looked like MOLD on the inside of the pitcher. Now I know this place isn't known for it's pristine cleanliness, but basic healthy standards need to be in place! Then our bucket of clams.... Tiny little buckets now with tiny little clams. What? What happened to the nice clams that you used to serve? We got a smaller portion, smaller clams, but not a smaller price! My salad was large chunks of ice-burg lettuce just kind of thrown into a bowl with some slivers of carrots mixed in, thankfully the ranch dressing was still really good. Service was horribly slow (even though they had plenty of staff on hand). No one EVER checked on us, not once unless we called them over (to complain about our beer twice). I had to finally go to the bar to pay our bill (which thankfully removed the charge for the moldy beer). Sadly, we will be ending our spring and summer tradition of heading out to the Crow Inn. Our experience last night pretty much ruined it for good. And where we used to encourage friends to go out there, we will now share this story and discourage them.

Probably my favorite stop on any in-town motorcycle ride. Beers, good food, great patio, juke box, nice staff.

You've possibly driven by this place a billion times and disregarded it. I understand why. It's next to some trailers. The facade hasn't been kept up yet there was something intriguing out all of the cars we kept seeing parked outside we had to try. So if you like dive bars that serve tasty food and cold beer pull in next time instead of past. They have a fantastic large patio equipped with plenty of tables for the adults and a giant play area for kids. There are more than enough dump trucks to go around. Service was excellent. Our beer was brought right out which tasted perfect after floating the river. I will say their tap list is limited...Sierra Nevada, Fat Tire and 2 others (like Bud and something else). They appeared to have a solid choice in bottles/cans...JP ordered a Ranger IPA. The menu is small...plenty of seafood choices including the buckets o' clams, grilled shrimp, etc...They also offer burgers and some appetizers. Moving from Seattle this isn't the kind of place you consider ordering seafood but I jumped in with 2 feet and ordered grilled shrimp. Honestly they were perfectly seasoned and grilled. As with many of the entrees you can choose a salad, fries or half and half (small salad/small fries). Genius! So many times I want a salad but a couple of fries. The Crow Inn nails it. For the entrees you also can do brown rice and steamed veggies as an option. The side salad is iceberg lettuce but the veggies are fresh and the cherry tomatoes were fresh out of the garden. The fries are hand cut and well cooked. The homemade cocktail sauce accompanying my shrimp had the perfect amount of horseradish in it. JP ordered a cheeseburger along with a small finger steaks, simply because we can't escape these on any menu in ID and finally had to try them for ourselves. I was glad to read these are pretty much an ID thing because I've traveled quite a bit and never seen them on a menu until moving here. You know what...they aren't bad. Being served with a side of cocktail sauce was odd though. IMO steak and cocktail sauce don't go together. Great service, fun atmosphere, dog and kid friendly and they were playing fun, classic rock tunes. Nothing like a little AC/DC while sipping a beer and eating a finger steak (um yea, something about that just sounds weird). We will definitely be back to The Crow Inn.

It's like dive bar but it has great seafood. The bucket of clams is awesome. Great place to stop after a day at the lake or stop for a beer after a bike ride.

Like another reviewer mentioned, you've probably driven by this place and just disregarded it. I did too. Big mistake! This place is really pretty cool. This is a great venue to go hang out and have a beer and some clams on a warm summer afternoon. It's one of those places that is somehow a perfect mix of several random ingredients: dive bar, biker bar, outdoor patio, OK food, cheap beer, kid and dog friendly, nice views of the Boise River. The outdoor patio is the best part. There's a lot of seating, mostly in the form of picnic tables, and much of it is covered. People bring their dogs and the dogs can sort of just roam around in the semi-fenced off area around the tables. Patrons are usually a mix of Harley enthusiasts, families with young children, and weekend warriors, all hanging out and having fun. There is a large sandpit area off the patio where they have a bunch of construction truck toys and a baseball pitching board for kids to play with. My experience is that kids entertain themselves in the play area while adults enjoy chatting and eating at the table. This place also backs right up to the Greenbelt and a lot of people ride there on their bicycles. The regular food (burgers, chicken strips, sandwiches, etc.) is cheap and is basically elementary school cafeteria food. The hamburger is definitely the type that comes pre-made out of a 20 pack. Same with the salad. It comes out of a giant bag and contains 90% iceberg lettuce. The fries are made at the restaurant and they are actually delicious. If you dislike cafeteria food, then order the seafood. I find Crow Inn's seafood a bit pricey for what it is, but it's good. The stuffed shrimp were delicious. As for beer, a bucket of PBR is $10 (awesome.)

I love this place. The first time I ate here I thought "what a dive." This by far one of the coolest places to eat. Their patio has the best view in Boise. I always get the bucket of claims and a corona which I highly recommend. If you haven't been to this place on the next nice day go check it out.
