I love this place! I found it shortly after working down town, but generally bring my own lunch. Recently i introduced my co-workers and we came 2 times in one week! I enjoy the salads - mainly i try to stay on the healthy side. But everything always looks amazing and I really want to work myself through the menu - like seriously! They have a little bit of everything, sandwiches, salads, wraps, burgers, hot option each day - it's great! The staff is extremely friend and happy and makes you happy when you walk in the door! IT's a basic place, but you can get all kinds of options for a nice deal!

With my new position downtown I've been given a great opportunity to try new food options that I either I didn't know existed or didn't have a reason to visit. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. It seems like a true honest deli that you'd see in New York. I met with the owners and asked what was good. The menu is large, but she pointed out her best sellers. I ordered the philly with fried rice as a side. The Sandwhich was amazing. A little small for what I'm used too, but still satisfying. The side was a let down. Dry and bland. I went on a second visit and got the philly and tots. Sandwhich was great side was lacking. It's a shame I can't find a decent side dish here. The sides seem overpriced and under value for what I want. Would I recommend Andy's? Of course, but save your money on the hot sides.

In downtown Boise on business, I needed a quick lunch between meetings. I walked right by Andy's Deli, took one look, and decided to go in. Though there was a small line, I was helped within a minute. A pleasant woman took my order. I ordered a turkey and avocado sandwich, protein style. I paid the cashier (who I think may have been Andy), then sat down as the cashier told me that he would deliver the sandwich to my table. Within five minutes I had my food. Sandwich was nicely prepared and tasty. Just what I asked for. Andy's Deli isn't a fancy place. It looks like a place right out of the 70s, but is fresh and clean. Service is great...something not commonly found in a sandwich shop. I'm a fan, and I recommend Andy's Deli.

I've had some pretty decent lunch here is the past. Today they had a bahn mi special, so I tried it without a second thought. This is a great deli with great comfort food, but they somehow missed the mark slightly on this one. The roll was pretty nice, and the veggies on the bahn mi were fresh and dressed with a nice sauce. Even the fresh peppers added just the right bite. The thing that made me laugh was the meat. It was the chinese pork tenderloin, like you get when you order pork and seeds. LOL Although edible, it was not awesome like so many of their other choices. Maybe my expecations were too high or something, but I was dissappointed. Hopefully they get a nice pot of pulled pork with some nice spices going like I know they can do - then they'll have something. :-)

Total mom and pop shop. I walked in late, like 3:30 on a Monday, looking for something to eat as I'd forgotten lunch earlier in the day as I'd been exploring downtown. Greeted warmly by the Asian lady behind the counter, who's immediately recommending the cheese steak. The space is small . . . along one wall is the large counter/kitchen/line, with old fashion menu boards hanging behind it. Think of those old school menu boards with the 3/4" plastic letters and the white background that you'd see at the community pool concession's stand or the local church bulletin board. The other half of the space is filled with small tables, again, a bit older and dated. While I'd originally thought the quick greeting and Philly pitch were just canned, I realize from the woman's body language that she really is hoping to help me and get me some food. I end up getting the cheesesteak, a side of mac salad, and a drink. Food comes out on a little plastic tray, the sandwich in a cardboard boat and a generous amount of mac salad in a styrofoam bowl. Total damage is south of $10, even with a tip. A little surprise as the tray liner is a Chinese zodiac liner, suggesting this is even more of a throwback, an immigrant business with an American name . . . I sit in the window, and while I'm eating, I see other customers come in, greeted warmly, even hugged, etc. Obviously these folks have established themselves and planted roots in the community. Nothing to write home about the food, but no complaints either. Solid macaroni salad, a good, hearty cheese steak, and I leave the place more than full. Nothing fancy here and a bit of a throwback, but a rad little business that's focused and executing well.

Ok - their food is consistently great, and the people who work there are great. HOWEVER - for folks in downtown Boise who want delivery - just know that they have zero ability to accurate identify when they will show up with your food. This is the biggest frustration we have with them. It is extremely common for a delivery to take 90 minutes to 2 HOURS and our office is only 3 blocks away. So if you are needing something quick - pass them by. Otherwise, enjoy.

definitely a ma and pop stop. as its not the flashiest of places, and their menu has that old school blue plastic letter on the offwhite background vibe (you'll recognize it when you see it). very wide array of food and ice cream (philly cheese steak to fried rice). had the philly cheesesteak for 5.25, awesome. cheap good eats. nuff said

There are very few really good delis in Boise, and Andy's is at the top of that short list. The staff is so friendly, learning my name and order after just a few short visits. Everything is very fresh, and they are always coming up with new soups and sandwiches that are great! Very few places have this quality of simple, good food, with this much pride and heart in what they do.

Need an affordable quick bite in downtown Boise? This place is worth checking out. They have a diverse menu and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. The owners remember your name the first time you walk in and they seriously don't forget. I get the Philly Cheese and enjoy it quite a bit. A house secret is the spicy rice with bacon. It's fried rice with siracha and bacon, and it's delicious.

The BEST. Great menu and EVERYTHING is delicious. I recommend Capital Club with small fried rice, if your super hungry. Great value for lots of food. If eating light, get the Tuna Salad Salad. Doesn't sound right but it is fantastic. My favorite. Owners are the nicest. They remember your name if you come in more than 4-5 times. Amazing people.

We had a delicious lunch! I had the finger steaks, they were tender and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Capital Club, very generous sandwich and delicious bacon! What a great local place, where they take the time to lean everyone's name and their favorite menu items

Wow they remembered my name and my regular order? As well as my friends and what they order? Damn right. Makes for the personal experience downtown. Love the fried rice and "Mams" favorite. Get with Andys!

One of my favorite lunch places in Boise. I just wish they were open evenings/weekends/holidays when I have more chances to go. I love that the owners always remember the names of their regulars. The best customer service I've possibly ever seen. Food is always good (try the chicken salad croissants and huckleberry ice cream!) Comparable prices, especially in light of portion-size.

Andy's deli is the perfect lunch spot. A wide variety of great foods made with love. They know everyone by name and they are always eager to help. Also the portions are more than fair for the price! My favorites are The Egg and I and their garden salad.

I have eaten as Andy's a dozen or so times now, and it is consistently good, and you are always greeted with a smile. The first time in it was a fairly slow afternoon, and someone recommended the Philly with a side of Au Jus. The recommender said it was the first thing he'd ever eaten there, and that he'd never tried anything else it was so good. So I gave it a shot, and boy was this guy right. I get the Philly with Au Jus about 90% of the time I am there, but I have tried their Dagwood and other sandwiches and found them great too. They also have some other non-traditional things on the menu that add variety like pot roast and fried rice, as well as what look to be good soups. This place gets swamped around lunch time, since it is a very popular spot for people working in the downtown area, but I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for my food, even during the rush (i.e. the 20 minutes of free parking is enough) The thing that makes Andy's so great is not just the food, but the people are always nice, greet you with a smile, try to learn your name, even if its your first time in. Andy's is definitely my favorite lunch place downtown.

A downtown Boise lunch staple! We eat here at least twice a week. The owners know everyone's name and greet you with a smile no matter how hectic it is. Prices are cheap and food is plenty! The Philly cheese steak is awesome but the Ruben and club are also to die for. When its really cold outside I get a baked potato covered is chili for about $4! Bottom line is if you don't love it than you don't belong here!

There's something very endearing about those local businesses that feed America's 9-5ers on their lunch break. Andy's Deli is just that - they take care of us that work downtown. Not only is their menu diverse, but it is delicious. Their portions are quite large. I always feel like I get my money's worth. I recommend Milt's Favorite - your classic turkey sandwich with a healthy supply of avocado. But that's just the beginning. If you've been to Andy's between 11-2 on a weekday, you are amazed as to how this staff does it. They have a delivery guy that is out and about no matter the weather. The other three don't sweat a bullet as they create masterpieces for the hungry working class - and often the line is out the door, all the while the phone is ringing off the hook. They never miss a beat! They remember the names of their customers, and other details such as family, work...etc. It's the kind of place you call home. It's the kind of place that makes you appreciate the small details about the city you live in. \

Great place to grab lunch!! Great value and excellent food. I got the club ($6) and was barely able to finish it. Huge sandwich well made crisp lettuce and bacon. Couldn't be happier. Super friendly staff as well. I will be coming back.

This is one of the best places for lunch in all of downtown Boise. Definitely a very good value as you get a very generously portioned sandwich for under $6. The Philly Cheesesteak is probably the best one you will ever eat, certainly the best one outside of Philly itself. But I haven't even mentioned the best part. The owners of the place are the nicest people in town. They will learn your name and are always happy to see you. They will make you a sandwich just the way you like it and even remember your order each time you come in. You should definitely add this to your regular lunch routine. You are missing out on a great experience if you don't.

Stellar, fresh food served in ample portions, with the friendliest service you'll find anywhere. And you can get anything here from fried rice and egg rolls to deli sandwiches and energy drinks. Try the smoothies--they're awesome and made right in front of you with frozen yogurt, fruit, and juice. Love 'em.

5 stars for friendliness. Milkshake was basic: good but not mind blowing. However, the service was lovely ;)

I've been a long time patron of this fine little deli in downtown Boise. In Dec of 2012, I quit eating wheat, not gluten sensitive, but read the Wheat Belly book and decided wheat is not what it used to be and I'm giving it up. I recently found out that Andy's will make any (almost or all, not sure) of the sandwiches as a lettuce wraps and offers gluten free bread as an alternate too! Once again I can enjoy these sandwiches they make which are the best in town! 5 Stars, you guys rock!

Ok so I looked up best Pastrami sandwich in Boise and this place came up with some good reviews,Let me put it like this this is the farthest thing from a good Pastrami sandwich I have seen, the people giving a good review must just be the people in office buildings around the deli that like something CHEAP all the hot foods look to be frozen food heated up the potato salad was good for only one bite.would not send anyone here mass chaos short on help they were very nice and said sorry but its not my problem they don't hire enough help.
