I was sadly dissapointed with this place. I really wanted to like it, since it is so close to home. Service was bad, and the selection of sandwiches and toppings was below average, compared to Subway. I ordered a turkey with provolone, mayonnaise and veggies. The mayonnaise had a very strong and rotten egg flavor. made the sandwich inedible. I mysteriously had a stomach bug afterward. Although I cannot say with certainty that it was due to eating here. Prices were ok for the size of the sandwich. I did come back and give this place another try. I tried a steak sandwich, asked if it was hot. They replied yes. All they did was nuke it in the microwave for 30 seconds, creating a soggy nasty mess. I could only get through 1/3 of the sandwich (i was really hungry) before I tossed it out from being so nasty. I also got mysteriously sick again to my stomach. It seems like other people enjoy it though, so I am not sure why twice my experiences were so awful. I will not be returning.

Always a good safe choice in Waterloo. Gotta get dill spread if you're in Iowa. Hard to go back to Subway after one of these.

If you are looking for a sub sandwich this is the place in town to get one! All subs are made to order, fresh cut meats and cheeses on the spot. And half a sub will fill you up! Try them.

Fresh bread, freshly-cut meats and friendly service along with a sandwich the size of Rhode Island! If you're looking for a great sub sandwich, this is definitely the place. Slightly more expensive than Subway, but so much better and so much more food. It's kind of a dive, but that just adds to the charm. I'll definitely be back. Keep up the great work.

So, I eat here a lot (quite often once a week). And I think the food is so good. However, the workers behind the counter never smile, and usually don't have a friendly tone of voice. It also gets really busy at this location and they can be so slow to get people through the line. But, when compared to the food you'd get at Subway, it is infinitely better. The bread tastes fresher, and the meat/cheese is sliced in front of you. You can call your order in and they will have it ready for you to pick up at whatever time you want. I'd probably try to give them 15-30 minutes notice though, as they really do get quite busy over lunch.

When we visit Waterloo, we always end up eating here. My in-laws love this place, and so do I. The subs have lots of meat, the bread is really delicious, the veggies are fresh. Last time I ate there I had the turkey breast and bacon and it was very good. This is a nice little hole in the wall sub place. I recommend trying it out.
