If you're looking for a dive ... Look no further... Drink specials are in short demand , but regular price and the pours are good. Staff is nice once you get to know them and the pool table is always going.

Pizza, chicken, breadsticks. All of it well made. Whether at your door or in the store, the employees are always fast and courteous. Even at peak hours, delivery times are reasonable. Quality of food doesn't fluctuate depending on what time you order like some other places. Lunch, dinner, late night, it will be to your door, hot, and good. These guys

Muy bueno. 3 beef enchiladas, rice & beans hit the spot while passing through Waterloo.
Absolutely divine.... All wonderful cascading flavors you expect from authentic Mexican... Absolutely the toast of the town!! No-frills great prices nice people... Also breakfast anytime a day if you got to get your eggs...
Best tacos in waterloo/Cf and probably Iowa. The cilantro is plentiful and the limes are always included. Also, the burritos, albeit different, are always a must! EAT HERE!

If you think the concept of this place is a bit odd, you would be correct. And if you think the photos of the decor look a bit tacky or gaudy, you would also be excused for thinking that. But this is a review of the food and service at what is certainly one of the nicest restaurants in the area. And in both areas I came away impressed. If you are thinking of giving this place a go, I would highly recommend it for a memorable experience. Service was friendly and efficient, beginning with a Russian maitre'd who just exuded charm. My server was new, but they had a great team who filled in any gaps for her. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass and also tiny split bottles of champagne. I got two flutes' worth of a lovely Spanish Cava for just $6. Though the food is not groundbreaking, it is definitely at least a step beyond culinary school standards. Everything was well-presented and served piping hot. I have no complaints about any of the food I received, which is rare because I can be a harsh critic. It's not Charlie Trotter's, but you get four quality items on the prix fixe menu for just $28. It feels like an elegant meal. The best, most surprising part - honestly - was the butter for the bread, which my server said was infused with vanilla and honey, but I could swear there was more tang to it than that, even. Take a peek or have a drink downstairs, which is much more my style. It has a bolder but thoroughly modern color scheme, and Paco's original paintings are down there adorning the walls. I would have much preferred this upstairs, but there's also something to be said for dining under a continuous spray paint rendition of famous Italian works.
We have visited Galleria de Paco twice now, on return visits to my old hometown of Waterloo. It is heartwarming to see such a unique dining establishment in a town that is otherwise a shadow of its former self. (Sorry, City Fathers, I know you're trying, and hooray, but as went John Deere and Rath, so went Waterloo. I still have a place in my heart for my hometown, and get there 2-3 times a year to spend money, so please don't be too indignant. If you ever bring back Robinson Crusoe's Island, gimme a call.) But I digress. Galleria de Paco (we just call it "The Sistine Chapel") is an upscale establishment offering a choice of four-course meals, or if you're not that hungry, you can a la cartre a lone entree, or add appetizer/soup/salad/dessert as you wish. The food is finely prepared and presented, and the service is highly professional. Owner/Manager/Maitre d' Jackie is omnipresent and if you have the time, we recommend asking him to tell his story of exodus from Bosnia via Germany to Waterloo. Guys, throw on a sport coat. Ladies, a dress and heels will not make you feel out of place. Such accoutrements are not required, but they fit well with, and add to, the ambiance of the Sistine Chapel. Er, I mean, Galeria de Paco. If you want to experience the feel of a chic European hideaway-style "cool people only" drinking establishment, get there early and go downstairs to the bar for a cocktail. It's a long drive from Texas, but we'll be back!
Wonderful atmosphere! We felt like part of the family while we were there. Jackie is a wonderful host and the food was awesome!! Big portion so come hungry.

We were in town for a wedding, and we had an opportunity to eat at Morg's. It was simply bliss. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Waterloo, but I'm glad we a chance to try their food.
Yes they recently raised their prices, but no matter they are still wicked awesome. A true greasy spoon.
Old school, baby. Old school. Real deal diner with basic breakfast food, the grill by the counter, waitresses that won't put up with your crap, and patrons who are actually engaging in conversation instead of staring at their phones. I'm glad I got up early to check it out because this place gets crowded and it's not very big. I had the basic bacon, eggs, and hasbrowns breakfast and it was perfect. I saw the B & G walk by a couple of times and that looked delicious too. Take your cash and a big appetite and you'll leave happy.

This is a very good Mexican restaurant. My son and I shared the triple fajitas, and my wife had the chile relleno plate. Everything was excellent. Definitely will return when in town again.
Great place! Good for a lunch meeting. Food was tasty and quick. Server took my food away too quickly but I think it was just a miscommunication. Would go back every day if I could!
The food was fast and good. Much better than many Mexican restaurants. Decent atmosphere and clean. Sit inside or outside. They have a grilled chimichanga on the menu. Tasty. Great lunch specials for 5 to 6 bucks. Easy to get to, not far off 63 downtown.

We were in town on business and wanted Mexican food. Not knowing the area we had to rely on other Yelpers. From the outside it doesn't look like much but we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food as well as service. Portions were generous.
Love this place, if I had to complain it would be about the service. Not that it's bad, English is definitely the second-language. sometimes it's difficult to get your food and drinks ordered.Small price to pay for the best Mexican in the cedar valley.
This place is very good every time I dine here. The tacos, quesadillas, burritos are all solid. The cheese dip is really good. It comes with 2 sizes. The service is really good. Sometimes my food is here a little to fast. Overall this place is good. It is deserving of a 4 star.

Found my new go to Chinese! Used to go to Red, which was good, but I think this is better. Coconut Chicken was superb. Rangoons are just cream cheese but still pretty tasty and the potstickers were delicious too. The egg drop soup is the best I've found since coming to Waterloo from Manchester.(for any one from that area, you know who I'm comparing to)
I have been here twice (once for lunch and once for dinner) and both times it was really empty in here. BUT, the service is great and the food is super good too. My husband and I couldn't decide whose dish was better. Also, I ordered a Sierra Mist (fountain) and for whatever reason it had a weird taste to me. When I asked our server for a water, she put two and two together and asked if I didn't like the soda. I said no, so she apologized and took it away. A few minutes later the manager/owner came over to apologize and then asked if I would like a can of Sprite instead. I'm usually not very comfortable complaining about things but they were all so sweet about it. I definitely recommend this place, even if they are tucked back behind the Sherwin Williams paint store and they have some really crappy signs pointing to their building ;)
To start, most places orange chicken is too sweet. Well, this orange chicken was the PERFECT orange chicken! It had some spice to it and the portion sizes were great. My other half had a spicy chicken and he said he really liked it. We were both full after out meal. The hot and sour soup was very good as well! The service was also very wonderful. If one waitress was doing something the other would lend her a hand and bring us our check. I thought it was very nice to see. I can't wait to go to lunch here again!
