A family member and myself visited recently for dinner on a Friday night. Servers seemed busy. We were seated after about a 15 min wait at the bar which we were both fine with. The server had a sparkling personality and was helpful with choosing dinners for both of us. Unfortunately when it came time for the main entrees the reviews of the server did not live up to what we ate. The pork chops were extremely dry and our onion appetizer was very greasy and burnt. For the price we paid at Lone Star I would have much rather visited Texas Roadhouse or Texas Longhorn for a better experience.

The last time I ate here ensured I would not be returning. I was in town with a friend and decided we would eat at Lone Star as I had not been there in years and remembered it being a good place to eat. Sadly I was thoroughly disappointed. Upon entering the restaurant, there were only a handful of other patrons. However, it took 5 minutes for a staff member to come to the front desk to seat myself and my friend. Upon being seated, we were promptly seen to by our waitress who was seemingly having a rough day. Understanding that the food service industry sometimes sucks to work in we gave her the benefit of the doubt. upon placing our orders (an appetizer and the two entree), we proceeded to wait 35 minutes for the order of bacon cheese steak fries which were Luke warm at best. Another 30 minutes passed before out entrees arrived. I had ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and my friend ordered the same. Much to my dismay the ribs were no longer warm, we're overcooked and dry, and had more gristle than meat. Meanwhile, I noticed several staff had gathered together (which is fine given the 10 total patrons in the restaurant). However, I could hear the staff quite clearly talking about a couple of elderly patrons in a very insulting manner. I can forgive a lot but it is inexcusable to insult your clientele within earshot of other patrons. In conclusion, the food, service, and staff were all terrible.

Very Disappointed! I planned on eating at the bar, until I ordered the Queso App. The appetizer was terrible, it tasted like there was fuel oil in it. Staff was fine, friendly and accommodating, but after tasting the appetizer I could not order anything else.

Bad food ....the place has gone so far down hill they can not see the top.....I'm sure it won't be open for much longer

The first thing our waitress told us was that she had just clocked in, and it went downhill from there. We had to repeat how our tab was divided three different times, she refilled our drinks when we were done eating, and we got our own silverware we she failed to bring us some. Our steaks were overlooked, and our order was messed up. Never returning.

I was really pleased with our dinner here last night. I was a first time Lone Star visitor, while my parents and brother had been there one time previously. We ordered our drinks and the Texas Rose aka onion blossom. It was awesome! Other places have this really thin breading that falls apart as you're trying to eat it, but the breading here was thick and crunchy, plus the sauce was great. I wanted to try the fried green beans or the Lone Star Skins (potato wedges) but that one appetizer was definitely enough for the 4 of us. We all ordered steaks for the entrees, but I had a hard time choosing! I was going between the Chicken Tostada Salad, a big bowl of Loaded Baked Potato Soup, Bacon Wrapped Sirloin, or the Garlic Lover's Medallions. There were a lot of things that sounded good to me, but I ended up ordering the Garlic Lover's Medallions with steak fries and a side Caesar. The Caesar didn't have the best dressing, but it was still fine and the steak fries were great! I loved the garlic butter on the steak, too. Everyone else loved their steaks and everything was cooked exactly as ordered. This place is much more calm and quiet than Texas Roadhouse which I DEFINITELY prefer. My only complaint was the server didn't bring us appetizer plates and she dropped off the check before we were even close to done eating, which is easily fixed, but just a pet peeve of mine. They do have a 2 for $25 deal with a lot of yummy sounding entree options as well. I would come back again, we all had a great time!

oh, lone star steakhouse, the dinner i'll never get back. THE GOOD: the "rawhide rita" margarita the boyfriend got tasted like a regular margarita. way to go, lone star! the glass of white wine i ordered was straight from the bottle & therefore couldn't be messed up. the "2 for $20" appetizer & entrees special was definitely affordable. THE BAD: everything else. the "texas rose" appetizer was ridiculously greasy. we could literally see a puddle of oil at the bottom of the plate. the bleu cheese wedge salad was more like bleu cheese soup with some floating lettuce and tomato chunks which the server explained she had to cut up herself because the kitchen staff wouldn't. she also explained that the tomato cutting incident was why we had to wait an extra fifteen minutes to get these bleu cheese "soups." the burgers we ordered weren't inedible, but were super unimpressive and super greasy too. all this to say, lone star is definitely one of the worst restaurants ever. lesson learned.

I got food poisoning when I went. Should have followed my instincts, no other cars were in the parking lot on a Sunday dinner time!

Sorry that others had problems. . .we went on a busy Saturday night just after Christmas--many large family groups. We went to the bar and were greeted and promptly served . . .wait turned out to be about 20 minutes. Server brought menus and took order in a timely manner even though she was quite busy. Wait was reasonable and my wife was served a filet and I had a sirloin. Both were up to expectations. It's not Morton's or Ruth Cris, but neither are the prices. . .we were well satisfied with our experience, particularly in light of the negative reviews. I would strongly urge you give them a try.
