I love the Smokey Row! Every time I'm in Iowa I have to have the cheeseburger chowder in a bread bowl as often as I can. They also have a great line of clothing which I have several shirts, sweatshirts and hats. Great choice of sweets as well. I don't drink coffee so can't speak to that. Love the atmosphere too. A gem. The location on the beautiful Pella town square only makes it even better.

I had no idea what I was walking into, but the outside was very inviting and the inside did not disappoint. Ordered the Tomato Basil Ravioli Soup in a bread bowl, Dutch Chocolate Mocha and the Andes Mint Pie. It was delicious :)

Service was fast and friendly, breakfast sandwiches were tasty and hot (unlike the other place in town we just are at), and the coffee was good - what more can you ask for from a coffee shop?

This was a nice little place. I loved the interior in this historic brick building. If I recall the upstairs is even cooler the way it is like an attic. Food was awesome! Free WiFi (unless I am just making that up in my head?), and just an all around good place to fuel up, check email, sit a spell in this quaint little place. Nice job.

We have eaten here three or four times. Each time the food is great, quickly made, and the atmosphere is perfect. We've enjoyed the smokehouse wrap and the Malibu panini.

Nice corner location, love the decor and atmosphere inside. Unfortunately, what appears to be disorganization behind the coffee bar with three people trying to fill coffee orders, not surprisingly equals way too long of a wait for a mediocre latte. Rarely do I toss away a half full latte....sorry Smokey Row Coffee, maybe I was there on one of your off days :(

We were amazed to find such a great spot in Pella! Nothing against Pella, but you don't expect to find unique, comfortable cafes with great food, great atmosphere, ice cream. etc., in a small town in Iowa, right? We were in town for a wedding, hoping to find a good spot to get some lunch and relax for a bit and Smokey Row was terrific. The paninis were terrific, as was the cheeseburger chowder. We had breakfast here the next morning as well. Good coffee. Nice selection of muffins and scones. The one bummer was that you have to order at the counter - as you do in most coffee shops. But Smokey Row isn't "most coffee shops." The line was out the door. Probably a 15 minute wait to place your order. Smokey's might need to decide to bring on a wait staff if their food is good enough (and it is) that they're basically a full-fledged restaurant.

Smokey Row is awesome! You can't go wrong with anything from the espresso bar, soda fountain, or ice cream. I personally recommend a hot fudge/peanut butter shake, and I'd take their specialty espresso drinks over starbucks any day. Menu items you can't miss: cheeseburger chowder in a bread bowl, egg salad, beefburger, and a row bagel. Cool atmosphere and reasonable prices.

First time visit here today. Wonderful coffee and food items. Old fashioned restoration with all the modern requirements, as many of this type business has done. Great service, gift items...very impressive. Thanks folks. Well done.

I had a nice latte here, and the coffee has been good here in the past. The business was quite busy even for mid-afternoon, which I take as a good sign that they serve good refreshments. The staff also took drink orders while people waited in line so as to speed up the line at the register. The (nostalgic) decor and atmosphere of the business really works well for this business. I haven't had any ice cream or sandwiches here, but I would definitely look to come here when I visit from out of town.

Cute corner cafe in the heart of Pella's downtown. Unique setup, there's an upstairs section that you could easily overlook. Love the bar stools at the cafe and the diner-like booths. The baristas were very nice and one of them even brought me my latte as I was chatting with colleagues in a booth. I don't believe there's a Starbucks in Pella and in this case, it's a great thing. Lattes and Dutch Letters are ok in my book.

This place is wonderful for high schoolers like me. I can hang out with friends and sometimes if you get lucky, you can get free ice cream. Which is amazingly good. The ceiling on the second floor is too low so watch your head.

Usually pretty loud and the coffee is just okay. More of a college hang-out than a grown-up coffee house. Not a good place to get work done most of the time.
