Very, very good food. The burgers are thick and the sides are seasoned to perfection. All of their food is fresh, much of it local, and the atmosphere is wonderful. My only complaint (and the reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5) is how long it took to get our food. When it arrived, it was delicious, but it took close to an hour to get our food. Wouldn't suggest this place if you're on a time restraint. Expensive, but worth it. I left completely satisfied. Will return as soon as finances permit it!

I'm happy Burning Oak has arrived! I thought it was lovely upstairs - exposed brick walls and crystal chandeliers hanging from large black beams. I first ate here on a Thursday night, and the place was booming. Before I headed over some locals complained to me about the prices. But, I think they just don't realize that in many parts of the country and world: $20 for 3 gourmet ravioli is normal! Everything we tried was delicious, including the mojitos. If you want actual good food in Fairfield, you better learn how to cook, or patronize places like this that serve good eats. Our waiter was nice and professional, I forget his name but I think he said he was from L.A. My only complaint is they don't give you cloth napkins. Paper napkins are for pizzerias, not upscale restaurants. Edit: I'm now getting cloth napkins when I dine here, thanks Burning Oak, you are the best! Every time I go the food is even better than I remembered. The desserts are truly amazing.

Very upscale for Fairfield. Live lobsters for empanadas. Bison steak very nice. Go upstairs.

A disaster.

It was disappointing that The Burning Oak didn't meet our expectations, we were looking forward to a new fresh choice of restaurant in Fairfield.
