Good sushi for great price! Ok service but since its a buffet who cares. Tons of selection.

The dinner buffet was all you can eat for 17.00. They rack up the free refill soda to 2.50, and hardly refill the drink. On the plus side, great sushi and sashimi that was clean and smelled how it should. On the down side, the buffet that they had was so lacking and dirty that I really wish I had gone some where else. The "buffet" was about 2 yard length hot tray tables and they were filled with over cooked, oily, hard food.. not too pleased with the buffet but really liked the sushi

We with my husband went to Osaka Buffet first time today and we're very satisfied. It's big, neat and clean place with great and tasty food. About food: Tons of different kinds of fresh-made sushi, nice bar and delicious desserts. Next time when we'll be in that area, we definitely will go there again. Thank you!

The best selection of sushi for a reasonable price. I recommend lunch for about $8 and dinner is about $16. For dinner they add just a few items, crab legs and sashimi. If you love rolls, lunch is the way to go. I recommend the coconut shrimp and maki.

Amazing! I went there at 3:30 in the afternoon and the food was quite fresh! I can only imagine at other times it is even better. The selection is incredible. I loved their sushi. The inside of the building is beautiful and the bathrooms (which are immaculate) are like something from a 5 star hotel. The price is excellent considering the quality and taste of the buffet. I am really looking forward to visiting again. This place stands far above the competition. It's classy!

Tonight I ate here with my family of 5. We arrived 2 hours prior to close. Every single food item in the "hot" buffet was cold, over cooked, dried out, or hard as a rock. I couldn't cut my wonton in the wonton soup with a fork! So I complained and asked for compensation as I barely ate any of my $15 buffet. Management offered me a 10% discount on my meal only. I explained to them that I would like my meal discounted off the bill and I would happily pay for the other 4, as they did eat the food (barely). Management came back and told me they called the owner and now I will receive no discount and was told, "next time ask for it to all be remade or go somewhere else". So that is how they treat customers. I wonder if the health department should know that all the food is not to temperature?

We visited at 1700. First the good. The interior is well used but clean. There is plenty of parking and it's easy to get to. The sushi bar was fantastic! There are all types of sushi and they make them constantly so they aren't dried out or simply out of stock. The service was OK and kept the tables cleaned off ... but I guess that's to be expected at a buffet. Now the bad. The rest of the food out is over-breaded, over-cooked, and has been out way too long or the heating lamps need to be turned down. I tried a little of everything just to see if it was just my favorite foods that didn't do well but it's everything outside of the sushi. If you're into sushi this is the place you want to be. Otherwise you may want to try Long John Silver.

Great sushi with a nice atmosphere and plenty to do around the location. Service tends to drag but the quality of the sushi is worth it! Get the Philadelphia Roll, personal favorite.

Very disappointed, my family use to come here twice a month, last week my sister and I came here and I thought I smelled something funny at buffet when I sat down I smelled it again, as I lifted the fried rice to take a Bite I smelled the smell the fried rice literally smelled like human feces, both my son's had some on their plates and my son gaged when he smelt his. The waitress said it was a new cook. Regardless of any employee there is never any reason for a dish to smell like feces....

Wow. What an awesome selection. Soooo much sushi to choose from, and lots of other good choices too! Now, as sushi goes, I wouldn't say this place has the greatest quality. However, the selection is astounding, and it was definitely a good buy for the money. As the other rater said, go to Red Ginger if you want quality. But if you want quantity, you won't be disappointed, especially for the lunch rate (it costs almost twice as much for dinner). Lunch was $8.99 for an adult, and a couple dollars less for children. As far as everything else, they had Chinese choices from General Tso's chicken to salt & pepper squid to dim sum dumplings. They even had crinkle-cut fries, so your kiddos will be happy about that as well.

Of all of the Chinese Buffets I have ever been to, this one has the best selection of sushi. Is is the best sushi I have ever had? No. But for the price, there is a huge selection! There are about 20 different rolls, and a decent variety of sashimi. I definitely got my moneys worth! This is a good place to come if you are not a lover of sushi quite yet, but you want to try it out. They have some basic rolls, and a few specialty rolls. If you went to a regular sushi place, some of these rolls would be $8-$12 minimum. This is a steal! They also have your normal variety of other Chinese dishes and desserts. For the price, this is a pretty great deal!

I'm from NYC and am really big on sushi buffets. I was so impressed with the quality of the rolls at Osaka, and the cooked food is really good too. After my first time here I actually called my family and (probably enthusiastically) told them I found a good sushi buffet place. Of course at these kinds of places the rolls will never be as fresh as a regular sushi restaurant. The workers are really nice, lots of seating, never had to wait for a table. Came back many times in my couple of months in Davenport, and will definitely be back when I'm there.

My second time eating here & the service was great. The dining area was so cold that it made or food cold before we could even eat it. We came right @ 4pm which was right @ their dinner time. The sushi was eatable this time so I was happy about that. Just a little unhappy about how cold & the price for what they had.

I think for a sushi/Chinese buffet Osakais decent. A Friday or Saturday night buffet is much better than the lunch buffet. Excellent choice of sushi and assorted Chinese options. They have crab legs at night but they are hard to eat due to the absence of the little forks. Even though there is an excellent choice of sushi, I witnessed a chef pull out pre-rolled sushi in plastic wrap. I question the freshness of the sushi. Also they offer tempura sushi but it is chewy instead of the tasty crispness.

Osaka Buffet offers a great way to try different types of sushi rolls without spending a lot of money. The quality is good and it offers both Japanese and Chinese food to satisfy your whole group. Squid salad and sesame balls are two of my favorites and I found both of them here! They are very reasonably priced with plenty of seating and space at the buffet, even when it's the height of the lunch hour. The one thing I don't like is that I have to ask for chopsticks.

Incredible. I'm not often in the QC area but this place will keep me coming back. For nine bucks for a buffet the selection is incredible. So much sushi!! Eel, crab, tuna. You name it, they have it. And all of the food was very fresh. Best baby octopi salad I've had. I cannot recommend this place enough. Incredible!!!

My friend and I dined at this restaurant on 4th of July for dinner buffet $14.99. As soon as we walked in the hostess was very warm. The atmosphere was fantastic we got seated, our server brought us drinks and a glass of wine. (half price all day everyday) Then we were shown around personally by one of the chef's to each destination on the buffet. Everything was explained since they were switching over from lunch to dinner. It was very good I didn't have one complaint about the buffet or the selection of food that was provided. My friend even swears that they either went to McDonald's across the street and bought a 20 piece chicken nugget. Or they stole the recipe from McDonald's for their chicken nuggets. If I had one complaint it would be the fact that the server's weren't available to remove our dirty plates quickly. Besides that I would completely go again and recommend anyone else.

Quad City Sushi: all I can say is its improving! I lived on the west coast... I lived on the east coast... best sushi in quad cities- Red ginger! Best sushi for the price.... osaka buffet in Davenport! And there is one in Moline... good just not as new. Osaka buffet is 5 stars because of the quality of sushi and speciality rolls... Absolutely best place for beginners and people who love to eat.... last time I went I ate about 200.00$ worth of sushi for the 8 buck buffet price.... they have about 20 special rolls that would cost about 12-18 bucks apiece downtown anywhere! Totally Worth it... and really good... and I hate buffets... enjoy!

Love the sushi buffet. Huge selection. Quality seafood for the QC. Good price considering the boat loads of sashimi I can consume. Very quick service. Clean for an Asian Buffet.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
