My husband and I have been regulars here since it opened. This place is owned by the same people who own Rookie's on Brady St. in Davenport. The decor and atmosphere are above-average for a sports bar. The menu has a good variety to choose from and is reasonably priced. I alternate between the prime rib (wonderful, always) and the taco pizza (also wonderful) and have never been disappointed. My husband loves the raspberry salad dressing and claims it's the best he's had. The only thing that keeps me from giving this place a 5 star rating is the service - it can be hit or miss. I think they have a semi-high turnover in wait staff, and they often employee really young staff, some of whom seem to have more experience than others. That said, 98% of the time our experience here is great! If you like the sports bar atmosphere and want reasonably priced, good food -- this is your place.

The "melt in your mouth" calamari steaks were like chewing on a stiff piece of leather, the BBQ basted chicken sandwich was undercooked and had cheap BBQ sauce simply poured over it, and the fries were soggy. To cap it off, the draught beer was warm and flat. They must have tried to be terrible.

This place is often crowded and parking is a nightmare, and honestly, the food inside isn't worth the hastle. I've been there a couple of times and have had different things...none of which stand out in my memory except for the last time I was there. I was in the mood for a thick, juicy burger. What I got was a previously-frozen gross burger patty that tasted awful on a dry, flavorless bun. I couldn't even eat it all and my mother taught me to always clean my plate! I couldn't this time. Each bite was nasty and I finally just gave up. This was about a year ago and I haven't been back since. Probably won't either.

How can you mess up french fries? They tasted like none before, freezer-burnt & dry. The pasta salad side was inedible. The calimari was disgusting, dry, overcooked, reminiscent of how a styrofoam peanut would taste deep fried. I was truly amazed by how bad simple food could be.

I'm being generous with this one star rating. Ate here a couple weekends ago with my husband for date night. The mushroom fries were amazing, but that's about where my enjoyment ended. Which sucks, because we're usually not hard to please. The doors are confusing. There is a side door and two doors on the front. The side door said "Use front door", so thats what we tried to do. That door was locked, so we had to go to ANOTHER front door. We laughed it off, because hey, it's doors. No big deal. We get inside, and it's dark, loud, and virtually empty. Our waiter was friendly enough, but told me they didn't serve Mojitos. WIth as nice of a bar as they appear to be, I was expecting they would. but alas, I got a gin and tonic instead. We ordered house salads, mushroom fries, he had the ribeye sandwich and mashed potatoes, and I had the grilled chicken alfredo. I wasn't expecting a culinary masterpiece but I figured it's hard to mess up a salad and alfredo. I was sorely mistaken. The salads came out with limp, wilted lettuce. The ranch dressing was more like ranch cement, it was so thick. Think about when you mix a packet of hidden valley seasoning with sour cream, and then imagine popping it in the freezer for about 10 minutes until it gets exceptionally thick. It wasn't very seasoned, either. So basically, we lumped cold sour cream onto our limp lettuce. They were served with a warm breadstick, which was nice and fluffy. The entrees came out within a couple minutes of getting our appetizers. The alfredo was supposed to come with another breadstick, but it wasn't there. Neither was the garnish of parsley and almonds as promised on the menu. My husband had ordered a special sauce for his sandwich, which the waiter forgot to bring out. No big deal, it happens. His cut of steak on his sandwich was subpar and grisly. The steak was underwhelming and not seasoned. The mashed potatoes also did not have much taste to them. But it was decent enough for him to eat, so he did without too much complaint. Now.. the chicken alfredo... what a monstrosity. The sauce tasted like it had been reheated a few times. The pasta was extremely undercooked. I think it would even give al dente style a run for its money. It stuck to my teeth as I chewed it, to the point where I had to ask for a toothpick just to eat my meal. The chicken seemed a little on the soft side, but it was too dark inside the pub to see if it was pink in the middle. I decided to take my chances. That was a horrible, horrible mistake. I spent the next three days in bed with some severe bodily functions from both ends. I'd probably come back to this place, to pick up an order of the mushroom fries to go. But other than that, we will steer clear of Jersey Grille.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Was immediately seated. Ordered a Cuban and a Ruben. The fries and sides were on point unfortunately the $10 sandwiches were lacking. The Cuban had 2 pieces of meat so all you tasted was butter, bread, and cheese. When we asked the waitress if this was normal the reply was all portions are weighed end of conversation. Wait staff was attentive but no manners.

We were very disappointed. The waitress put a stack of dirty dishes on our table to take our order. both our orders were wrong. My husband was given the wrong order. My sandwich had pickles instead of avacdo slices on a generic hamburger bun, rather then the brioche on the menu. The fries were cold and limp. It will be a long time, before we return.

This place is LOUD, and the servers were essentially nonexistent. Came at about 10pm on a Friday night, got seated immediately, but then waited a few minutes for our drink order (which was incorrect on the first try). Then proceeded to wait another 10 minutes before giving up on the place, no one came back to take our order. It was probably for the best, I could get a vibe that more poor service was in store, so it was good we left when we did. The place did seem busy, but it was a loud crowd, more of a party atmosphere than restaurant.

Bartenders are very nice and helpful. I enjoy the italian beef and french fries.

My family stopped in for lunch. Even for pub food, the food was too greasy. My wife's chicken salad tasted like fish. My daughter's pb&j was coated with butter. The waitress seemed put out that we were ordering and didn't come by to checks on drinks. Do yourself a favor and stay away. If you do stop in, bring Tums. You'll need them.

My boyfriend and I were severely disappointed by this place. We are both very forgiving and easy-to-please people but the service, food and environment at the Jersey Grille, we agreed, are all unpardonable. It was not that busy when we arrived a little after 7pm - 70% or more of their tables were empty. It took ten minutes just to get water and even after that our drinks constantly needed refilling. Our server apologized each time she returned to our table for taking so long but continued to lack attentiveness. If I saw her running from table to table I might understand (we both worked in restaurants in the past) but she was walking around refilling ice behind the bar, emptying trashcans and disappearing into the kitchen for ten minutes at a time. What made the whole waiting game worse was that it was dark and about 50 degrees in there: we we were trapped in a refrigerator full of incompetent people. I couldn't feel my fingers or toes. The food, as mentioned in other reviews, was consistently bland and disgusting. The salad dressing obviously came right out of a Kraft bottle and everything else was either microwaved or thrown in hot oil for a few minutes. I have no problem paying good money for good food but be prepared to severely overpay for the quality of "food" (if you can even choke it down) that this place serves. Avoid it at all costs and go to one of the many other restaurants/bars in the area.
