My kids LOVE IHOP. They beg to go. I will never go to IHOP again unless I can find a better location than this one. The management is clearly disinterested in the clientele, and there is open tension between the waitstaff/bus-staff versus the management. Service is mediocre. The environment is poor, even in contrast to any other IHOP I've ever visited. They have thermostat issues in certain sections of the restaurant but they seat people in those areas anyway. When I complained about the heat, I was offered a menu to fan myself. They keep your receipt at the end unless you insist on leaving with it. It has a code for leaving feedback. Funny how they don't want you to take it.. ...but then, I haven't heard a thing back regarding my negative feedback... Do yourself a favor and go to the Village Inn across the street instead of this IHOP. Either that, or take the extra time to cross the river and eat in Moline. I haven't been to that IHOP location yet, but honestly I figure it could only get better.

Five stars for the service. The waitress, Amber, was outstanding. Having worked as a fine dining server, I thought she was great. Quick and kind and even personal. Should be commended for a great job. Ask for Amber for a great experience. The food tasted delicious. Amazing! French toast was wow! And the bacon cheddar waffles are great. We were surprised though (shocked actually) that there are no real eggs in their omelets. Just a liquid egg mix with pancake batter. You have to specifically request shelled eggs if you want the real ones. I guess that's normal these days but totally news to me. Makes me wonder what I just ate? It matters because I calculate out about how many grams of protein and carbs are going to be my breakfast and that liquid egg mix changes the content of what I eat. My only complaint was that it seemed almost all our food was warm, not hot. We were a large party so I understand. But I would recommend turning up the heat lamps. Restaurant seemed clean and well taken care of. Quite busy. Manager was quick to help and take care of our questions on the eggs used in the omelets. Was a great overall experience.

The food was okay. Nothing great. My pancakes were soggy the sausage had to much spice and the eggs under cooked all for the price of $8.. not good I would try village inn for good breakfast food

As you walk In there are posted signs everywhere informing you of what they don't do or they don't accept. They even have a sign to say thank you. In case they forget because they are rude. They should post a sign to inform you to eat across the street.

We haven't been to an IHOP for more than 5 years and after last night I now remember why. Order over easy eggs and got scrambled. Waitress took the whole plate back. A half hour later I asked where the food was and the waitress told me that there are no free refills on food. What the ?*&#? Another half hour later COLD food came out and by the way my husband was done eating. This is why it is our choice not to tip. The table next to us told of getting their order cold too. I only wish they would learn how to cook food properly. SAD for a national chain. They must be another food establishment owned by an investment firm.

Despite some of the negative reviews on here, I actually had good service on one of the times I was here. I was in town for a couple days, and as I'm not-too-fond of my local IHOP, I thought I'd give this one a try. It's located pretty centrally - near a Super Target and lots of other businesses. I came first on a Saturday evening at 6PM. Expected to wait. Didn't have to at all. Was one of a few people there. I wasn't so fond of the service as we didn't receive our beverages until we actually had our food, but the food itself tasted fine and the check was promptly brought to us. The server was also very friendly - though just not too prompt on things. If it was just this experience, I'd probably be at 2 stars. The Sunday morning was a lot, lot more crowded. People EVERYWHERE. Was quoted a 20 minute wait for a two-person table. That was accurate. I watched the front counter while I waited and saw quite a few angry and frustrated customers there - and the employees themselves seem pretty bored and annoyed by the entire ordeal. However, our run-in with the staff on this morning was pleasant. After we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our waitress. Brings were brought quickly, and refills were brought at the perfect time. Our waitress was polite and very friendly, but it was also clear that she was busy, so she was very efficient. Ordering went well, and the food was delicious this time around too. Our waitress even offered to provide another cup of our beverages in to-go cups (this is a service that most IHOPs offer, I believe, but it's only the second time in all of my IHOP visits that I've been offered to take advantage of it) Check was brought promptly as well, and it was easy to pay at the front counter. If If it was just this experience, I would consider this 5-star service. Like other IHOPs I've been to, there seems to be a pretty big variation in the service and quality you'll receive - even at the same establishment. With both of my experiences here, though, I'd come back. The food was still good, but it seems like the service can be pretty bipolar unfortunately.

Slow service. Only like 5 people at a time and my order is still taking an hour? Still under cooked? Oh, it wasn't even my full correct order. My father and I used to love this place but we just can't do it anymore. We literally went out of our way to help the employees sometimes but now--- if I needed to pee and one of them were on fire, I'd make sure to drink all of my water from noodles, or any of the MUCH better restaurants in the area.

We arrived to find a low traffic dinning room mid morning and stood and waited for 2-3 minutes with no one even acknowledging us let alone seating us. After another minute a woman said she would be with us and then went in the back. We left and went across the street to the village inn which was cleaner and busier and we were greeted immediately and seated immediately.

I've been to this IHOP location many times. The food is usually very good but service is very poor. Maybe only 1 out of 10 times have I had a good waiter. The waitresses and waiters are uncaring and as soon as they give you your food, they set down the check and will never check back for refills or if something is wrong with the food.

You know that if you have an early appointment or presentation, you can always rely on IHOP to be open early for breakfast. You walk in and you can just smell the fresh pots of coffee. I had the sample platter and it was oh-so-good and fresh! One nice thing about going in the morning is that you get friendly and alert services.

We went to IHOP this past Sunday morning. I understand it is an IHOP and not a fancy restaurant, but even for an IHOP, I was sorely disappointed! Looking back, I think they were probably understaffed. But our waitress, Erika, needs a new occupation or some more training. She was pleasant enough, but just a below par server. She came by 3 times in the first 5 minutes to ask if we were ready, typically I would want a quick order but our menus were still open and it was obvious we were not ready to order. When we did order, I ordered the orignial order of pancakes. She had no clue what I was ordering- like she had never looked at the menu. Our food came in average time and I was reminded why I don't go to these restaurants. My $6 stack of 5 pancakes was so small that it didn't even fill out the side plate it was served on and the "Hot" syrup that comes with it wasn't hot. My husbands meal was similar- just tiny. He had forgotten to order a side of toast and did so after the meal arrived. The toast came out within 1 minute. The toast was cold and hard. He tried spreading butter and jelly to make it edible but after the first piece he just couldn't do it. He waited for her to return, which was about 10 minutes. When she did, he asked for new, fresh toast, saying it was cold and hard, obviously it had sat out on the line before coming to us. She took it away and brought back the SAME 3 pieces of toast that she had microwaved... yuck. How was the microwave supposed to fix that? and it is toast! The cheapest thing they serve. They probably throw more away than is eaten. She looked at us crazy when he asked again for FRESH toast, and he specifically asked that she not just try to reheat it this time. She finally got it right, we finished our meal and left hungry. Oh, and we left parched because we never got refills on our drinks because Erika was MIA most of our visit, which was ironic since she was glued to our table while we looked at the menus. We still left her an OK tip, because we are just too nice not to. And it is probably shame on us for not talking to the manager or telling Erika that she was doing a poor job. Regardless, it will be a long time before I ever go here again or to any IHOP for that matter.
