I recently returned to the QCA area with my fiancee and our to children after my father past on. We are living in the Aledo Illinois area and wanted a good Chinese buffet to eat at. I remember the Dynasty Buffet on Elmore, in Davenport as having the freshest and most abundant variety of any buffet I had been to almost anywhere. Boy did they have more than I remembered....... They have added food poisoning with salmonella to the menu. I was disappointed in the lack of freshness, the curt service, the slow removal of the dirty dishes, and the general lack cleanliness of the establishment. My fiancee and our two children (ages 5 and 8) were already getting ill by the time we were ready to leave. We felt as if we were being "pushed out" the door so as not to be seen by the other guests. soon after my daughter and son began throwing up in the restrooms. My fiancee was also having sever stomach cramping and nausea. We returned home and after a bit we went to the E.R. to get checked out. The attending physician did blood test and cultures and confirmed the findings. He stated there was definitive proof as to the illness we were experiencing. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING to this restaurant EVER. They have disgusted me out of $43.00 and change and I will find another place to enjoy with my family. I will not be recommending Dynasty Buffet on Elmore in Davenport to anybody, ever. The only people I might recommend this establishment to would be the IOWA DEPARTMENT of Public Health.

This is my favorite buffet resturant. They have an excellent selection of food including sushi, crab legs, chinese food and more. All you can eat. The staff is also friendly. Great place to go if you're hungry!

The staff is very nice and remembers my bf and I. We usually come there during lunch time because it is super cheap. I think the food quality is good and better than golden coral down the street. It's my fav but panda buffet is coming soon so we will see who wins.

Of all the Chinese buffets in the quad-cities, this is probably the largest and most consistent. All your favorites are here along with a few unique items (tempura veggies are great!). The salad and dessert areas are much larger than other buffets and the addition of a Mongolian grill sets this restaurant apart from the others. Wait staff is attentive in filling glasses and removing dirty plates.

This use to be one of our favorite places to go. Although the last few times we went it was disgusting. The food had been sitting and was old. It is very expensive for the quality of food you get. I took maybe two bites and was done! So yes they have a huge selection but what's the point when it's gross! Then to top it all off I looked at my bank acct and they changed my tip and added more. Which was way over 20% because I always tip way more than normal. So I will never ever go there again just based on the dishonesty of the staff. It was clearly the number I wrote so there shouldn't of been any mistake!!!!

Outstanding and varied selection. Quality seemed to exceed expectations. Stay was very friendly and attentive with one notable exception. They have a habchi grill set up as well as a station for steaks. We were never able to get anyone for the steaks and noticed a lot of people waiting with no one to be seen at the habachi grill. They have sushi, several different meats and a wide variety of sides and desserts. There should be something there for every taste including the most finicky youngster. We will be back when we are in the area

I just Don't agree with most of the reviews of this restaurant. A fair portion of the buffet Food wasn't fresh as it should have been at 6:45 PM. Staff made it a priority to clean the floor and get ready for closing time instead of clearing my empty plates. I wasn't offered a refill on my drink and had to wait about 15 minutes after finishing dessert to get my bill. I guess if you're just wanting to stuff your gut till you burst, then go here. If you would rather have a positive dining experience, there's a ton of other restaurants within walking distance that are better choices.

Best buffet ever!!! The crawfish are really good. Very large choice of food. The service was pretty descent, but it's a buffet what service do you need? The decorations in the place are really unique.

If you are looking for quality Chinese food, please look elsewhere. So why am I a fan? Because as far as all you can eat Chinese buffets, this one is on top of the heap. I love the fact they have sushi, a little hibachi table where they will cook steak, chicken, or shrimp for you on the spot, and they have "American" food like pizza, warm apple pie and garlic bread. They have an awesome selection for a very, very low price, especially for lunch. I'm a sucker for egg rolls, crab Rangoon, dumplings, and dim sum. I just love them and have a very flexible palate when it comes to them. So being able to grab all I can eat and combine it with some freshly grilled shrimp, warm apple pie, all for such a cheap price, it tends to make me a fan. 5 stars for the steak they cook it just the way you want it!!!!

This is amazing, people come from near and far to enjoy this huge buffet full of amazing delectable items. There's something for everyone, and even a vegetarian can find something to eat here. It's a lot of fun to see all the families coming and eating together, and it's great people watching too. Waits are a little longer on busy weekend evenings.

The food is alright....about as good as any other Chinese buffet. Not the freshest food, but you get what you pay for I guess. Good if you want a decent Chinese buffet.

I travel and visit a lot of Chinese buffets. This one delivers solid performance with very fresh food.

Good food. Ok, so the buffet never changes. But the food is always warm and plenty of it. At 4 o'clock they put snow crab legs and oysters on the half shell on the buffet....awesome! Their sushi isn't too bad either. It's made of the more "nonexotic" foods so you can stomach it. They even have a few items for kids(ex; pizza, cheese sticks). My wife and I go probably once a month...and we live 1 hour away! FYI, they don't accept checks!

My wife suggested we drop in for dinner. If you have read my previous reviews you know I have high expectations of Chinese food - - - and this restaurant did not even come close. I suspect most people might give this place a higher rating since there is a wide variety of food and you can eat as much as desired. I prefer better tasting food and less of it. If you do go, I would suggest the fresh stir-fry over the buffet selections.

Like all the reviews said... This place is amazing. By far the best buffet in the area, if not the midwest! More food out than i've ever experienced at a chinese buffet and i've eaten at a lot of them. The only complaint i would even mention is sometimes, the item you want needs to be re-filled and they take their sweet time doing so. especially true on the crab legs. But of course thats always the first dish to be empty.

Its really a 2.5 , but I gave it a three. Ive been there 6 times, I go for the sushie and mongolian stir fry and some salad. They really need to seat the folks with more than one child in the big room in the back. Its always 15 degrees too hot in there, The wait staff is better than good. LAst time I was there I saw a couple loading up her handbag with stuff to take home and reported it, they didn't seem to care. Its close to call but I think its the best buffett in the quad cities, because of the variety and clenliness, the bathrooms are always clean. and its appreciated.

Probably the best Chinese Buffet of it's kind in the Quad Cities area. I've only been there for weekend dinners when it's packed and the buffet needed to be restocked regularly, so in my experience, it's always been fresh food. Pretty good selection, and the crab legs were cooked just right (compared to the dry crab legs on the buffet at Jumers casino) although they don't restock them like they should. I believe they let it go empty long enough to discourage people from abusing it, but then sometimes you go a long time waiting for them to bring it out before you can get your first plate. Sushi was the variety you would expect in a midwest town, but it was fresh.

This place is freaking gross. I don't know who would eat at this restaurant after the first time, let alone sing its praises. When I went they had multiple types of cuisine and couldn't get one right. It's a low end cheap buffet. Bleh.

One of my favorite's among the QC's hoppin' buffet scene. The food is good, taking into consideration it's a buffet. And if you can make it in for lunch during weekdays it turns out to be a great deal.

This place is my go to lunch Chinese buffet the food is not the best in the world but it does the trick for 8$ on a weekday lunch. I love their dumplings and the sushi here is good enough. The service is very nice and I never see the bottom of my drink.

This is one great buffet, a great selection and the price is right. I always stop here when I'm visiting. The staff is always nice and there's usually something to eat for everyone.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
