First trip to the latest Azteca restaurant for take out. This is a nice addition to the west side of Davenport with the full Azteca menu and a full bar. There are about 9 tables in the restaurant but I got take out. Free cheese dip on Monday and free guacamole on Tuesday is one of their deals. Delish as usual for Azteca.

So disgustingly inconsistent I would give zero stars if possible. Ordered BEEF chipotle burritos after asking Erick what came in them. He neglected to mention bacon and for some reason said they include lettuce--which they do not. I was repulsed by the sight of all the bacon and then no chipotle sauce. Had to return for a second time to get the sauce. It looked like watery vomit and smelled just as unpleasant. The last time I ordered this same item it didn't come with bacon. The sauce was a chilled ranch type chipotle. When I called, guess who the 'manager' is?! Ugh, yes. Erick. I explained my issue with the inconsistent burritos and he attempted to convince me the way I received my order is the way its supposed to be made. I explained that he misrepresented the contents, and that I also have received it made a different way--which was the better version. I don't need to hear about Azteca being short staffed and hiring different cooks, and the new cooks putting their own spin on the dishes. Nonetheless, this is what I'm hearing instead of an apology for his errors. Even more unprofessional was the fact that he couldn't think of the actual manager's name. Kangaroo is not someone I could take seriously in a managerial position, yet, this is the only name Erick could muster. And that was preceded by a "probably", so, as I return for the 3rd time tonight for a refund.....it will more than likely be the very last time. Ever.

Love the convenience. They don't always make your order like the menu says but I have never had a bad experience. Visit this at least once a week. Love the drive thru. Every time we leave they say See you tomorrow, my friend. Cracks me up.

My order has never been correct here. It's so convenient and I don't think I'll go back because it's so frustrating.

Mondays are free queso dip day and Tuesdays are free guacamole day! Getting something delicious for free is never a bad thing. It's nice to have an Azteca on the west end of Davenport. The restaurant is a pretty decent size w/ plenty of booths and tables. They do have a full bar too. The service is always great and I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes, if that, for my food to come out. Normal delicious Azteca!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
