    Wow... i can't believe that I'm actually rating something below 3 stars... All I have to say is that this place gives a lot of rice, a moderate amount of beans and a little bit of meat. NOT COOL, TACO DEL MAR!!!

    For a chain the food is good. I can get alot more for my dollar than going to ummmm let's say Taco Bell. At least here they actually fill the tortilla with a good amount of meat, because the filling is what makes the buritto for sure! I recommend this location. I've gone to the others, but had the best service here.

    If you're looking for good mexican, then is not the place. The only reason people go there is because they give alot. The food is okay but why drive all the way out here when there's million of better places in between. I think the Jack in the Box tacos across the street is sometimes better. Okay parking. The service is fast.

    Taco Del Mar in Kunia. Pros: - the food is the "closest to authentic" one can get in Hawaii (or Polynesia from my limited experience). - It's right off the highway, so easy to find near Wal-Mart and parking in the lot is free. - They have "Specials" each weekday. Today, Tuesday was 2 Tacos, Rice, and beans with a small soda. Cons: - The non-South of the border crap they blast way, way too loud (Reggae) makes hearing anything the server says nearly impossible. Why not appropriate tunes? Where's the manager? Is this acceptable behavior in the California establishments? I think not. I lived in Long Beach for a long time and THEY did it right. Time for the owners to take a road trip. - The servings are measured to exactitude, so that there's not only uniformity (good for the owner) but the price doesn't equal the portions. - Don't be fooled by the "quantity" of food, or "quality". It's the quantity. You will not be full after spending $7.74 (see photo of receipt). With all said, my wife likes the Taco Del Mar food, so we go here a few times a year. Only a few. The garbage, non appropriate music needs to go and if not... TURN IT DOWN! The staff were adequate and the place was clean. Parking was available for nearly 1pm. Rating this place is difficult because of what I've written. I will, after experienced Yelp reviewing thought, rate this 3-Stars... though would have been 4-Stars with proper music conditions... if I could have heard the staff over the volume. Unprofessional. This is a restaurant, not a private Reggae club for the employees.

    My husband and bought Mondo burritos for dinner tonight. Two ladies helping us (one gas my order and another has my husband) both making the burritos side by side and the out come? My husband burrito came out smaller than mines. His one looks more like a Mondito. Not worth the $20 paid and definitely not coming back. What happened taco del mar Kunia? You guys were great! Now, your service sucks and you're ripping us off? Train your staff how to make all foods equally and smile more! Don't look so pissed off cause we ordered our food an HOUR before closing. auwe

    I've been to a few Taco Del Mar's on the island in the last two years and just have not been satisfied. From beans to chicken to beef, everything tasted so dry. After every bite, I would immediately take a sip of water to bring the food down my throat. This has been my experience every restaurant that I had visited. I'm over it and done. If you really want to try mexican food, you can try this for some "mexican" food; but as for me, "eek! Methinks not."

    Not the best Mexican food I've ever had. My girlfriend and I came in one because we had some coupons. Parking can get a little tight just in front of the store but its a shopping center so there is often more parking around the area. Its a bit of a small establishment. Not a whole lot of seating inside. The workers, to be honest, seemed like they dreaded their jobs, and while we didn't really receive horrible service, they weren't all that friendly either. The food was alright at the most. The meat was on the dry side with nearly no taste or seasoning. I had their spicy salsa in my burrito but I couldn't taste it at all. Instead it was watery and made my burrito break at the bottom letting all of is contents fall out onto the plate. When you eat here, its like a subway but with Mexican food. You choose what you'd like to make, then they have a little bit of a variety of meats and fillings to choose from as well as different burrito wraps. I liked the different choices if tortillas the most. All in all, I think this place would be better if the food was seasoned better. Oh. And be wary of the bathroom. It was as if the toilet was intentionally clogged with tissue paper and left for days...hmmmmm.

    I'm only giving 2 stars because the service was good and fast and I didn't get food poisoning... That's about where the positives end. The food is so bland and terrible! I'm from SoCal and have fortunately and unfortunately tasted amazing Mexican food. I wouldn't eat here again even if it was free. For the price they need some seasonings

    The sauce here is gross, nothing Mexican at all. My friend got the burrito bowl, and it was super small. Like three bites. The food just isn't that good. Jack in the box is next to it, so go there instead!

    People expecting real Mexican food at a Taco del Mar are...well...dumb. It's a burrito joint no different from Moe's southwest grill or Chipolte. It's not nearly as good as either of those establishments either. My fiancé and I used a coupon for two monditos for $12. Not realizing we would be charged extra for guac and sour cream, we ended up paying about $15. Not really a great a value by any means. The food was alright though. Service was fast

    I havent been to Taco Del Mar in ages so I went again today for lunch. The decor is actually pretty nice and the restaurant looked really clean, as it should since it is a really small place. As for the food, I had a chicken taco salad ($7.50), side of rice and beans, and a soda (combo + $2.50). It came out to $10. Its hard to rate the food since lettuce tastes the same everywhere...so basically im just rating the chicken! hahahha. The chicken was good, but it wasnt hot. I ate my the salad first, it tasted ok...but hard to swallow the $7.50 price for it. You could go to "fast food" place and get a taco salad for less, and get way more food! The rice and beans on the other hand was really hot (temperature). Not much else to say about this place. I probably wont be back for a while. Im the only one in my family that will eat "mexican food".....but if I ever get another coupon....i'll be back for sure!
