Good service, quick, and has up to date pizza ads. Went with a few friends to pick up some pies and wings. Prices were affordable, and everything was freshly made.

The fishcake and cone sushi are the best! And I'm usually not a fan of cone sushi but the ones here are really good.
The line is longer now but I still love their fried chicken as fish patties! Poke is made with good quality products!
Love coming here to grab lunch! They are always so efficient even though it is always crazy busy! They are personable and nice too! Love eating lunch here! And word of advice is don't come here hungry! Lol

Excellent caterer! Friendly, professional, on time delivery, tasty, and plenty! I will definitely use them again!
From the same parent company as Zippy's is "A Catered Experience". My notes: professional/quick response to my email. prompt delivery. free delivery to nearby area. very reasonable prices. large portions. great food. not the best ever but pretty good for catering. kalbi and ham were surprisingly good. sushi and potato salad were junk. they provide plates, forks, and napkins. I had to provide SERVING UTENSILS. no headache. pay ahead of time, sign contract. DONE. Prices start at $6.95/head for Menu A, minimum 25 people. I got the deluxe Menu D which was $11.75/head and I have leftovers for the next month. LUNCH/DINNER MENU D (DELUXE) Barbecue Kal Bi Short Ribs Mochiko Chicken Baked Ham with Pineapple Raisin Sauce Fried Noodles Assorted Sushi (Maki, Teppo Maki, Inari) Steamed White Rice Tossed Salad with Dressing Potato Salad
The BBQ teriyaki chicken is my favorite. It has a light sauce and the chicken isn't dry. Great customer service!

K’s Bento-Ya

94-164 Awalau St,Ste 1
Waipahu, 96797
Reviews:
My Mom had gotten me K's bento over the years when I was growing up and now I try to pick it up for my kids too! DEAL ALERT! You really can't beat K's. Only $6 for the small bento, which includes a lot of food for the price (3 pieces chicken, piece of hot dog, egg, maki sushi, musubi and a plain sushi with shrimp flakes on top). They give you a chopstick but you really don't need one as everything can be finger foods - perfect! Cash only and very few stalls in front for parking but it's grab and go (bentos are ready for purchase - well, they were when I stopped by on a Thursday around 8:30am) so most leave pretty quickly.
Back to basics. Okay. We're approaching a stop. Brake gradually to slow to a stop before the stop line/sign. Signal your left turn. Check left. Check front. Check right. Check left again. All clear? Okay. Execute your turn. Straighten out. Accelerate gradually, and smoothly. I keep telling myself "keep it simple." Use single-word terms rather than phrases and sentences to direct actions. And use terms consistently. Slowww. Stop. Signal. Check. Turn. Return. Acceleraaate. We're in the neighborhood so my daughter and I drop by K's in the morning before we re-commence her driver education. K's makes a basic, simple bento. We pick up a couple to break fast and fortify both tutor and tutee for the day's session ahead. For $6 you get 3 pieces of flavorful fried chicken, a musubi, maki sushi (shoyu-mirin tuna + egg + red and green shrimp powder), oshi sushi, hot dog, and yaki tofu. Nothing fancy. Just basic, simple food...that is tasty, filling, and satisfying. And for a very fair price. Now then. [from the "Hawaii Driver's Manual"] "When you drive into the street from any driveway you: 1. Must drive slowly so approaching vehicles and pedestrians can get out of your way. 2. Must honk the horn so approaching vehicles and pedestrians can allow you room. 3. Must stop and proceed only when there are no pedestrians or vehicles approaching." ...... Hmmm..... What's a "PE - DES - TRI - AN"?
I just love hole in the wall places. This place is tucked in very well. It's in a small corner lot next to Valerios. Go as early as possible because their Bentos go fast and bring cash! They're perfect for any meal of the day. I try to grab one before my hikes. As you walk in the Bentos are packed and ready for you to grab from the shelf. It's a very simple looking place that can be overlooked. But everyone in Waipahu knows about it as it is reminiscent of those field trip days we'd take when our parents would have us take a bento for lunch.

The cakes are the shiznit! I've been eating delight cakes since I was a kid. My favorite cake is the guava delight. The frosting that they use is light and not too sweet. The bakery itself is in a little corner of Times Waipahu but the cakes are still #1.
31 Yelps Review Challenge: 25/31 I've yet to actually step foot in a Dee Lite Bakery but already, I am very fond of it because it is home of the Rainbow cake (which I've been blessed to try on multiple occasions). The cakes have always been super moist, light, and each layer tastes so distinctly tropical. As far as cakes go, this is in my top 5 favorites. LOL, thanks to the pictures posted on Yelp for Dee Lite Bakery-I also know that Dee Lit Bakery is also home of the infamous *ahem* cakes. True story...one time, while dining out, we noticed a bachelorette party across from us. I mentioned to my bf and friend how the cake box was so oddly shaped that it must have been an *ahem* cake. My suspicions were confirmed when about 5 minutes later, each of the girls took turns peeking into the box and snickering. Ironically, a second bachelorette party came into the restaurant and guess what they were carrying... Oh why must bachelor and bachelorette parties be so classy :p
Picked up a frozen rainbow cake today that I phone ordered. Came out to 29 something with writing on the cake too. They charge $3 for writing, not too bad but was not told over the phone during my order. Service was excellent and quick. Usually go to the Dillingham location, I forgot they have one in Times Waipahu.

Ba-Le Sandwich Shop

There are two other Bale Sandwich shops between this Waipahu location and where I live, but the drive is well worth it. You'd think all Bale shops are the same, but nope their not. Everything seems different...the bread, pickled vegetables, seasoning of the chicken, etc. Where I, unfortunately, might have given another location a 2 or 3 (ordered a chicken sandwich that kinda tasted a little like fish??), I easily give this one a 5. Perfectly made sandwich everytime and I've been going there for over 10 years now. Pho is inexpensive and my kids love it!
NOM NOM NOM BEST BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICHES EVER!!! No for real the sandwiches here are so bomb diggity good. They have pickled veggies with a some sauce though I always get extra veggies. It's $6 (cash only) but it's HUGE. I love it. Very flavorful. The chicken isn't dried out pieces but real big pieces of bbq chicken. There's a good amount of chicken and veggies and I really enjoy it. Been going often too! So yummy!!! I prefer this place over all the others for sandwiches ^__^
I love the Bale Chicken sandwich. Honestly, what I like about this place is after at least 2 visits, the lady up front who takes your order remembers you and beat you to the punch by saying, "You want your chicken sandwich today?" Boy does it feel could to be remembered! lol. Just an FYI. They do take CASH ONLY so make sure you have cash in your wallet. This is my favorite Bale for sure :) It's located inside of Don Quijote in Waipahu. Perfect lunch stop or even a snack stop after shoppng.

Sato’s Okazuya

Best fried noodles in on the leeward side hands down!
This place is one of the reasons why I'm proud to have strong Waipahu roots. My grandparents used to (still!) live near and worked at the sugarmill there (you know, the giant smoke stack above Waipahu St). So, as a direct result, my grandpa used to take my mom to Sato's (and eventually us too!), then my mom took me and my brothers to Sato's, and now I take my son here for the best noodles around. So, for me, Sato's tastes like home and has truly stood the test of time. With all that Sato's-experience, I always CALL IN (677-5503) my order a day ahead, whether it be a small or large order. Now, this tip doesn't serve the newbie too well, but you can always count on fellow Yelpers (and me) to help a brother or sister out. You don't come here for their BBQ meat or pork chops (just keepin' it real). You're waiting in that long line and/or calling ahead (yes, sometimes there's a wait to pick up a phone order) for their delectable NOODLES. A small order will cost you about $4; a large order $7; and an extra large around $11-$12. By the way, cash only and they're closed on Sundays and Mondays (and on other select days when they go to Vegas). Service is old school, so don't take personal offense if the elderly folk taking your order don't always greet you with a 2011-bright smile-and-wave. They're doing it the way it's always been done, stepped on a few toes perhaps, but obviously still making the magic happen - there's still long lines coming out of this place despite inconsistent service. My grandpa used to tell me and my brothers that good things come to those who wait....nicely.
Ok- this place is more of a 3.5 star rating. Went at 10:00 and there were a few people in front of me in line, however it must have been really busy early since several of the items were out. So I ordered the xlarge fried noodles, the last piece of chicken and a hot dog. So how did everything taste? Fried noodles were good, not great. A little oily and not a lot of substance to it although it was still tasty. Take a look at the pictures and you'll notice there really isn't a bunch of ingredients there- maybe that's what people like, I'm definitely in the minority on this one. Fried chicken wasn't the biggest but it was very good- in all its salty glory. Hot dog- it's a hot dog, nothing else to really elaborate about.

If you can brave the west side of Oahu and find your way around Waipahu and are in need of some nourishment such as GARLIC CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN this is the place to come! This is such a quaint little restaurant that is owner operated. The service and staff are very attentive and friendly. You can also BYOB. Our last meal there consisted of the Tom Yum soup, very nice flavors of lemon grass, ginger and kaffir lime leaf. Served with shrimp and black mushrooms. Tasty and satisfying enough to warm your soul on a cold rainy day. We also had the basil chicken(good), but I would highly recommend the egg plant basil chicken instead. The Pad Thai is very good and not too oily like so many other places, nice mild flavors as well. We also had the calamari and spring rolls as appetizers. There are so many things that I want to go back and try... This place will deliver a very satisfying meal and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it!!
Just the kind of quirky little place a girl who loves Thai loves to love. Sweetie at the counter greetin' and seatin'. Momma in the back shakin' and bakin.' Deliciousness delivered to the table with a smile. Hot diggity damn! Their spicy is spihhhhhhhhicy. Caution! lemon grass soup, delish. panang curry, delish. miso soup, delish. Thai iced tea, delish. Tapioca pudding with bananas. Tapiocalicious. My mother (Little Bigs = Thai neophyte from the midwest, predisposed to disliking anything new and different) seemed to float to the ceiling as she mused about the relaxing ambiance. Waitress exercised rare and shocking flexibility by letting Little Bigs split two different entrees in half and order both. Giddiness ensued. And then she delivered the food. Ahhhh. The food. So good that Little Bigs was left with nothing but complaints about the three other thai places we visited on the rest of our trip. Annoying. But justified. Hop Skip and Jump back to the car, parked right out front in the nasty little strip mall. Pockets still relatively full of cash.
I was in the area so thought i would give this place a try and pick up some thai take out for the family. Garlic chic was not that great. Phad thai was average. Panag Curry pretty good. I dont care for papaya salad but my wife loves it and said it was really good. The guy behind the counter was really friendly and the place looked really clean. I probably have to give this place another try but phuket and other thai places have this one beat.

Finally tried this place today and I was pleased not only with their great customer service but great tasting food! Tried their longanisa fried rice and it satisfied my hunger! We also tried their won ton mein , pork adobo and hamburger steak let me just say all dishes did not disappoint! Gonna make it back with the hubs to try their deep fried banana bread dessert!!
Best mac-salad I've had. I got the guava bbq chicken, only one piece of chicken but it was good. Nice and juice not over cook, with mixed veggies. Over all a great lunch plate
Got to try a bunch of different stuff today at Elle's and everything was great! The owners/operators Richard and Elle are super friendly and eager to help you, which can't be said of many places now days. The hamburger steak was classic local style and you can tell they use good beef. I'm a Mac salad snob and am usually disappointed with a lot of local plate lunch places but Elle's Mac salad was on point! Not too much mayo but plenty taste. Also had the wonton mein which was on special today and it was awesome! Lots of homemade wontons and they don't skip on any of the garnishes. Also the soup and noodles tasted very very fresh. Also had the fried banana bread was OUTSTANDING! Can wait to drive out to Waipahu again to try some other menu items. I saw they have a adobo loco moco and a ramen burger on the menu which will be the next things I try for sure.

A quality local place, which has been around for years. Always good service and a wide selection. Japanese fare with a local style. I have never been disappointed at Kuni's.
Dessert is the only good thing. The rest was tiny overpriced portions. Ordered miso butterfish... I got 2 anorexic pieces of fried fish covered in a overbearing thick miso sauce. Food wasn't that fresh. Won't ever come back here again.
