I was holding off on writing a review until I actually ate in the dine in part of the location rather than just a quick drive through run on the way to work. This location is just above average but isn't really anything stellar. The restaurant is quite large and has many available seats, the area is clean and well lit too, it is very easy to just kick back and relax here with a book. The food is fine, average cook, stock flavors, If you've eaten from a KFC then you've pretty much tasted the food they have here. I would have given them a 4 star review but the drive thru is inconsistent. I've gotten wrong sodas and they've substituted meal items for me when I've specifically asked for an ADD ON not a SUBSTITUTION, resulting in major disappointment when I ended up with just 2 coleslaws instead of mashed potatos for my buddy and 2 coleslaws for me. He was looking forward to them mashed potatoes all day and then KFC went and crushed his dreams. So that's something they need to work on for sure. . .maybe they should add an order confirmation screen to the drive thru like every other fast food restaurant on the island so you can actually see what you are paying for, because they don't ask you to review the recipt or anything. Average, average, 3 star review!

Two piece with a biscuit, mashed potatoes, cookie and a drink for $6.00. Biscuits are pretty dry though. Didn't use to be that way. Enough said.

I do not know man due to my last recent experience here, it is like wow did I really just choose to eat here today? haha. Anyways, dine in here recently for the first time in a long time for a random Sunday early afternoon lunch. It was somewhat busy. There was a lot of Japanese tourists ordering and eating here. That is mostly due to the part that there are many tourists that go and shop around the Waikele outlet area. Anyways, it is located at the lower level of Waikele where all of the other restaurants and eateries are located. It is across from the Lowe's home improvement store yeah in that corner. Anyways, the customer service is just ok. All of the workers seem like they just don't give a crap and they are just there for a pay day. There was one dude who took my order which he was giving off the vibe and energy that he is just there for the pay. All of the workers needed to chill because there was not even that many people waiting in line. It seemed that they were all hustling and bustling for nothing and wasting energy when they can just focus on treating the customer accordingly. The food that we ordered was just ok. I got a two piece combo meal and my mom got the chicken tenders combo meal. Everything from the chicken to the mashed potatoes to the coleslaw to the biscuit did not feel fresh out of the oven but we ate it because we were hungry. The prices for everything is ok, I feel that it is a bit high though. Everything could be a buck cheaper then it would be ok.

I tried their grilled chicken sandwich and it wasn't what I expected. For the cost of the chicken sandwich I expected it to be greater than what it was. The fries were also subpar. The one positive thing was that their service was fast.

Usually go to this KFC since it's on the way home for my husband & I...but after an experience, we rather take the 10min drive out of our way just to avoid this KFC. One day after work we went through the drive thru -- the girl took our order, ok...everything seems to be ok...then we pull up the window to pay, i guess the girl was waiting for my debit card to run & clear, so she ended up talking to another worker, a guy...the guy came up to her at the register & was asking her about a girl. The girl worker replied "oh everyone knows her, she's a sl*t, & a b*tch" etc etc.....the girl worker gave us our food, my card, & didn't even say thank you, come again, or EVEN LOOK AT US when giving us our food...it was like she just handed it out the window while still having her conversation with her co-worker. So...irritated as I was, & very disappointed in the service from her, I yelled out "THANK YOU!" & left. I believe her name was Maile, or Malia...something with a M. &, if you looked inside the restaurant ALL the KFC employees were sitting around in the dining area wandering around talking.

Visited KFC Waikele because I had a coupon for a free twister. I wasnt really excited about getting the meal because the chicken wraps at other fast food places tend to be small. When I saw the price of one, it was a turn off to me because it was almost $5! So, I order the twister meal and I got one free twister. I was actually surprised at the size of the twister. It was pretty big and filled with chicken. They can really justify the $5 price for one. It was really tasty and I would definitely order it again. FREE food always tastes better! The staff at the drive thru was awesome and didnt make any mistakes on the order.

Is KFC getting to be one of the more expensive fast food restaurants? I feel like it's mostly breading on their chicken. Not my fave, but hubby likes it.

From my life experience, KFC is bad in general and this place is no different. Its overpriced, the food is old (I always get stale fries), the food is cold, the sandwiches are very small portions, and really, its not very tasty. You are way better off getting a bucket of chicken from Zippy's I've been to KFC in Waikele and Hawaii Kai probably about 6 times in the past year or two. Its always the same poor experience. That's enough chances. I'm done with this pathetic excuse for a fried chicken company.

An awful KFC with poor management. I brought a coupon from the Sunday Hnl. Star Advertiser and it was an 8 piece meal with 2 lg sides and 4 biscuits for 15.99. I ordered thru the drive thru, but when I got to the window, the manager said, "We don't honor this" and then said, "If you look at the bottom, it says corporate...". Fine, I said, I just won't come back here. When we drove off, my daughter said, "There's no mention of corporate.". The manager never even bothered to look at it! So I go to Kapolei and guess what, no questions asked. Waikele needs to wise up or go bankrupt!

I LOVE fried chicken. Just about any fried chicken. Sure I've had some that were better than others but, with KFC you know what you are getting consistently. I usually do drive thru because for some odd reason it's faster than counter ordering. I have never encountered a rude worker here. Everyone is polite and professional. OK, back to the food. I like their Original recipe as opposed to the crispy chicken. The seasonings in the orignal are one of a kind. It's as though if I closed my eyes, took a big bite I would KNOW it was KFC's recipe. The cole slaw here is the bestest...is that a real word? I salivate just driving to KFC thinking about the cole slaw. It has just the right amount of tanginess so it doesn't have a strong vinegar flavor. The slaw is crunchy and gives it a freshly made texture (even though we all know it isn't). The mashed potatoes are my families favorite. For me it's a little too creamy but I'll suffer through it for not having to cook! The biscuits are flaky and buttery, just wish it was a little bigger. Be sure to ask for honey for each bite you take!

A whole 2 stars because the bathrooms were relatively clean and accessible. Otherwise, I hated what I got. I haven't been to KFC in...oh...years. And now, major disappointment. The two others with me seemed to have gone the right way with the plain old fried chicken, spicy type. I got the chicken tenders/nuggets/strips whatever they're called they're terrible. It is really, really hard to mess up something deep fried! Just batter it and dump it in the fryer! geez. Limp, tiny, dribbling, bland, bleached-looking little bitty pieces of chicken. The batter was completely wrong, kind of looking like chapped lips that hadn't been deep fried enough. Barely edible. Definitely not acceptable from a place that is supposed to specialize in chicken. If I ever go here again, I am getting some reasonably normal-looking fried chicken. Mashed potatoes and cold slaw are the same as I remember as a teenager. Acceptable, edible, all right. Do not order the strips!!!

I've only been through the drive thru and so far so good. I don't really care much for the regular chickens nowadays. I go for the grilled chicken. It's the bomb with KFC hot sauce. Their hot sauce is also the bomb! I also like their 20 pc for $20 special on Tuesdays. In fact that's the only time I get their chicken - on Tuesdays cause their prices are pricey.

every time we've been here, the drive through has never been busy. after all these years, I never realized that they don't sell the chicken breast pieces in their buckets unless you ask for them, but oh yeah, it's a $.50 upcharge for each piece. check your order before you go...just sayin'
