I do not know why these guys do not have a single review before me. But this is a winner. Nothing fancy here just a place to buy great fresh fish. We got one pound of Ono and a pound of Opa for just 24 dollars. We grilled it up and it was amazing. They are located in a little warehouse area that is a bit hidden and there is not store front... Just ring the office doorbell. You need fresh fish... Hit Maui Seafood.

Just happen upon this place for lunch after a Dr.'s visit and on my way to work. I ordered the tempura Mahi special with two side orders for $10.00 and it was delicious. So much so I had to write a review. They are only open on W-TH-F for lunch as their main focus is on the catering part of their business. Dinner menu looks awesome, which I will have to try on my Friday night date nights with my hubby.

It's very very cute, and very very old, just like Grandma's house. The lacey curtains and the colorful quilt inside the room further emphasize the age. The bathrooms are new and remodeled and super clean. Rooms are spacious and come with shelves of books for your entertainment, ranging from travel, to cooking, to soft porn, to sewing. In the morning they serve a mean breakfast with fresh fruits. I really felt well taken care of here. Just remember this is not your standard Hawaii resorty place.
A very comfortable place, beautiful room and garden, handy location for touring the island. We would love to return!
Great place to stay at. We were here April 2007 and we stayed in the Mokihana room. This room was huge and it had a whirlpool hot tub, great to soak in during the evenings. Everyone there is really sweet and helpful.

We just wanted to let everyone know how much we enjoyed The Steel Horse Saloon on our last two visits to Maui. Without a doubt, what makes it so special is that the proprietor, Lisa, has the right idea in the way she treats people who are her regulars and the way she welcomes new patrons like us. SHE, in particular, and her staff, definitely made us feel welcome to where The Steel Horse is one place definitely on our list of "need to go to places" (a very exclusive list at that!! :) ) on our future visits to Maui!! We're truly grateful that we were able to catch up with Lisa on this trip to the Steel Horse Saloon. Your place is special, a gem!! It truly is the "Best Kept Secret" on Maui!!!! Don & Ramona Greman
The Steel Horse is a great bar. Live music is always a ton of fun and the team working the bar is super friendly. My wife and I love the place. The bar will call you a cab when you need one and there is a great Manapua place next door to hit up in the morning when you come back for your car! All the other patrons at the bar are also friendly.
Welcoming Motorcycle / Locals bar , they are also friendly to guests. It acts like a dive on the outside but its really a a clean place that sells cold beer has regular live music and a friendly staff. If you staying in Wailuku it maybe only place on the lower main strip that embraces well behaved new comers no questions asked. Just pay your bill and tip your bar staff and your be fine.

Wonderful find. Great food, reasonable prices. I had the special wow. Will stop by for lunch again.
I have been here 2 days in a row for lunch and am hooked! Food quality is way above average for Maui and excellent prices. I had a stuffed chicken breast wrapped around a delicious artichoke, Parmesan and capers filling, mango quinoa salad and pasta salad for lunch. Portions were large and cost approx $12. Staff is super friendly. The dining area is clean and hip with interesting artwork with an artsy vibe. You can eat in or take out for lunch. I hope to attend a dinner as the dinner menus look fabulous, with a set price. The dinner menu is constantly changing and evolving. I can see why this little gem is so popular. I can't wait to return... Tomorrow maybe?
I love this place, and frequent it quite often for lunch. Its a nice change up from the traditional Wailuku town take-out choices of "fried," "oily" or "expensive." This place is none of those things. The food is fresh and the menu is always filled with enjoyable choices that are extremely reasonable. I personally love the Kalua Pig Mango Chutney Sandwich, the Tempura Mahi wrap, and the seared ahi salad with mango vinaigrette. They also always have a nice deli case selection of sides. The staff is mostly young, and they flirt with me shamelessly, which is always a bonus. I recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in Wailuku town who wants a nice, fresh, well portioned, well prepared lunch either on the go or to sit down.

I finally got to try their food at the Wailuku First Friday event. LOCATION: On Market Street, next to the Iao Theater. ATMOSPHERE: They took over the former Café O'Lei spot in a very picturesque, older building. I haven't been inside as they serve food from the sidewalk during First Fridays. MENU: From what I gathered, they do more catering than restaurant style portions. FOOD: 3-Item Combo Plate - I chose the chopped steak, garlic shrimp, and pancit. Macaroni salad was included as a side. The steak bites were very tender, a bit fatty here and there, and had tons of savory flavor. Great job! The garlic shrimp was sautéed perfectly with the shell on, juicy, crunchy and had an excellent savory garlic taste. Another great job! The pancit fell flat for me. I don't care for the yellow noodles and the flavor was lacking. The macaroni salad was very good. Pricey at $13, portion side was pretty fair. SERVICE: All the staff were friendly and locally professional lol. OVERALL: Very tasty grinds, pass on the pancit.
We have ordered catering from Juan's many times and every time it's super Ono! Last night we had our annual party for International Housekeeping Week. I was going to BBQ but decided to cater at the last minute. I called Juan's Thursday and asked if they could cater for us Friday. They had no problem doing that and delivered to the beach park at Kam 1 no problem. Now the food was excellent. Chicaron was amazing. Honest, authentic Filipino food. The owner's daughter delivered to us and she was very nice and accommodating. On time and delicious what more can you ask for? If you like Filipino food try these guys out, you won't regret it.

Miyako Sushi

1883 Wili PA Loop Ste 1
Wailuku, 96793
Reviews:
Very good local style maki and cone sushi made here. They sell party platters and sushi trays, as well as spam musubi, manju and mochi. If you need some goodies for potluck parties or picnics, this is the go to place in Wailuku. Plus, they open early most mornings; about 4 or 5 a.m., I believe. I've gone there to pick up snack packs of maki, california and cone sushi as well as chichi dango mochi. The prices are a little high, but comparable to store bought snack sushi. This is by no means a "sushi bar" with the various types of fish sushi, but more local style to eat at the beach or even snack on at home. Check them out if you need something fast for the kids to snack on or to take to school field trips. Very convenient. Call ahead for larger orders, though, as the sushi sells out fast! Located conveniently in the Wailuku Millyard.
I had some of their sushi and manju brought in from Maui yesterday morning. Chelsea and I shared the manju. The red bean an center wasn't dry and completely smooth, like the ones that come out of a can. I'll have to go there in person one day, on my next trip to Maui.
Sushi and vintage collectibles in equal parts....what do they have in common? Hard to believe, but the popular Miyako Sushi in Wailuku Maui has them both. Only in Maui.... Established in 1980, Miyako Sushi is presently owned by Michael and Judy Kodama, with daughter Cindy to take over the reign once they retire, which will be the third generation of family members. It specializes in take-out of various kinds of sushi, food items, and snacks: * Maki sushi - 10 oz. roll of seasoned tuna with carrots and red or green ebi with optional egg. * California rolls - 10 oz. roll of imitation crab sticks with fresh, crisp lettuce and mayonnaise. One of the very few places that use fresh lettuce which gives it a nice crunch when you bite into it. * Cone sushi - also called inarizushi with fried tofu bits and carrot slices. * Teppo sushi - 4 oz. roll with takuan or cucumber. * Oshi sushi - large floral shaped sushi. * Musubi - plain rice or spam musubi made with regular rice or cone sushi rice. One of the very few places that use cone sushi rice for its spam musubi, which is an added bonus and may be called a "spam sushi." * Party mix - made in-house with corn/rice/wheat chex cereal, cheerios, bugles, pretzel sticks, honeycomb cereal, fritos with buttered seasoning. I usually see this mix around Christmas time, but here you can find it all year long. It's made just right, not too sweet nor salty, and is so addictive. * Snack packs - goldfish crackers, wheat thins, chocolate covered raisins. Cashews, potato chips, candy bars. * Sandwiches - hot dogs, ham and cheese, egg salad, tuna, turkey and cheese. * Miscellaneous - boiled peanuts, somen salad, tossed salad, tofu salad, hard boiled eggs, plain cooked rice, manju, butter mochi. The manju is so flaky and crispy; the butter mochi is delicious and is of a cake-like consistency, so it's not oily as the usual butter mochi. * Drinks - soda, coffee. coconut water, juices, energy drinks, iced coffee. Its specialty is their sushi, which are freshly made by hand during the wee morning hours of each day, with workers coming in to work as early as midnight before opening at 9am. The sushi is perfectly seasoned, somewhat sweet with not too much vinegar. They offer beautifully arranged sushi platters for parties which must be pre-ordered. Or you can purchase just one or two sushi rolls; although they may have some available, they sell out fast, so it's best to pre-order those also. (It is not uncommon for them to make 500 spam musubi in one day!) Pre-ordered sushi, even for only a couple of rolls, are packed carefully in a box with thick waxed paper so that the sushi does not dry out. While the general public may purchase sushi from Miyako directly, they wholesale to various supermakets, stores such as Longs Drugs, and restaurants. Did you know that even the famous Sam Sato's Restaurant sells cone sushi from Miyako Sushi, the only food item that they do not make themselves! Not only are there sushi and snacks, but Owner Michael Kodama has a showroom at the same location of hundreds of vintage items, including local Hawaiiana. Collectors may purchase authentic, one-of-a-kind items, thanks to Michael's many passionate years of his expertise in these items, which include: * Glass fishing floats * Kokeshi dolls * Golf clubs * Beer steins * Pewter items * Dishes, coffee mugs, glassware * Vases * Old bottles * Maneki-neko lucky cats * Toys - marbles, car models, bobbing head dolls. movie characters * Shells * Figurines * Carved tikis * Handmade dolls I was so awed by the display of these vintage items, as they were in tip-top shape and neatly arranged on the many shelves. A collector's haven indeed! Miyako Sushi was originally located on Lower Main Street and moved to its present location in the Wailuku Millyard on Wili Pa Loop, a block away from another iconic Maui eatery, Sam Sato's, in 1988. It expanded its current space in 2012 by taking over the space held by another business next door, which became the showroom for the many vintage items. Miyako Sushi is open Monday to Friday from 4am to 4:30pm, Saturday from 4am to 12:30pm, and closed on Sunday. Yes, they open at 4am with sushi all ready to go! They are also open on Christmas and New Year's eves to accommodate party-goers with their sushi platters. Yes, only in Maui can you find sushi and collectibles for sale in one store! Amazing!

Fantastic!! Ordered delivery. Fast, friendly and suggestive. The food is delicious! Full of flavor. Hot on arrival. Desserts were exceptional! This has gotta be a weekly thing for my household!!
First time here and I live on Maui. At first I was craving for pasta, but I seen the menu & was really interested in trying their calzone. Good choice too! Their Calzone was tasty! Will definitely go back!
In town so I visited THREE different times and was VERY shock when I exam my receipt closer. On one visit I was charge for a paper bag. That's terrible I was not told, no signs,..... The pizza was good and a petty large menu of items to select from. Pissed charge for a bag of a Togo order!!!!

Great new place to enjoy a meal in Wailuku! Right across the big parking lot. We made a reservation because we heard it was always crowded. Enjoyed breakfast. I got three steaming hot pancakes, my friend got the 2 eggs with protugese sausage. We shared a side order of fried rice. That came out a little cold but it tasted good. The portion was a little smaller than I thought it would be for $8. Otherwise, the pirces were really good for really good food. I don't eat eggs but I'm used to breakfast menus not having eggless ideas. The breaksfast skillets looked good and I'd encourage Aria's to create an eggless version with hasbrowns instead! Looking forward to visiting again soon! The lunch and dinner menus looked really good, I'd like to try that next time!
Great find in the small Wailuku. Wonderful bfast burrito. 4 star for food, but the owner is such an amazing guy - very friendly, kind, and humble, which is why this place for 5 stars.
I'm very excited to have such a nice sit down option in old Wailuku town. Don't get me wrong, I love greasy spoon local food like most of the other fair in Wailuku, but it's nice to have a lighter, more refined fair. I've been here a few times now and whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, it doesn't disappoint.

A stop at Stillwells is a must, especially if you're visiting the island! I order their cream horns to take back home, along with their pumpkin and blueberry muffins... They're sooooo delish! For lunch, I usually have the Oriental chicken salad or the crab cake sandwich. Both are satisfying, I guarantee you that you won't be disappointed!
This place never disappoints!!! The same owner since it opened!! Superb baked goods & pastries!! The salads & sandwiches are always fresh to order!! If you haven't tried this place it's a must!!!!
I love the desserts from here. Their desserts are amazing. I always get the mini cream horns.
