We just wanted to let everyone know how much we enjoyed The Steel Horse Saloon on our last two visits to Maui. Without a doubt, what makes it so special is that the proprietor, Lisa, has the right idea in the way she treats people who are her regulars and the way she welcomes new patrons like us. SHE, in particular, and her staff, definitely made us feel welcome to where The Steel Horse is one place definitely on our list of "need to go to places" (a very exclusive list at that!! :) ) on our future visits to Maui!! The Steel Horse is a great bar. Live music is always a ton of fun and the team working the bar is super friendly. My wife and I love the place. The bar will call you a cab when you need one and there is a great Manapua place next door to hit up in the morning when you come back for your car! All the other patrons at the bar are also friendly.

Welcoming Motorcycle / Locals bar , they are also friendly to guests. It acts like a dive on the outside but its really a a clean place that sells cold beer has regular live music and a friendly staff. If you staying in Wailuku it maybe only place on the lower main strip that embraces well behaved new comers no questions asked. Just pay your bill and tip your bar staff and your be fine.

Wow! What a pleasent surprise! We walked in and were told they have a martini special, any martini any vodka $3.00 . Everyone was friendly we visited for several drinks longer then we planned! We had a great time! Too bad we had to leave!,

What an amazing place. The perfect stop for a cold beer on a warm day. This is "The Corner Bar" where everyone knows everyone. They don't serve food, but with the atmosphere and cold brews they don't need food. The TV's are all tuned to sports (baseball, hockey, soccer, etc.). If you don't see what you want, just ask and if there's a free TV they will put your game on. Melinda is a very attentive cocktail mixologist and always ready with your next cold one.

Rude bartender tonight, one star and one extra star because I can't really think of much else to complain about. I just can't stand rude bartenders. Won't be going back.

Just moved here from the California and felt right at home when I stumbled upon this gem. The people there are always nice and ready to converse. The bartenders are attentive, the music is good, and they have four large TVs with sports on all the time. Overall, great place to go if you are craving a nice cold adult beverage.

This place is filthy and I love it! Total hick-tactic dive at it's finest. And the bloody marys don't skimp on the horseradish. Yuuuuuuummmmmy! And the price is hard to beat. Feel like buying a round for you and four friends? That'll be $10. Say waaaaah?

The Steel Horse Saloon is a gem. On the outside, it's totally unassuming, located on Wailuku's (in)famous Lower Main Street. The inside, it's just like Cheers, where they know your name. While it's a bonified dive bar, it's also really clean and the bar tenders are wonderful people (especially Kahea). I really can't say enough great things about it.

Just Opened...New Owners!! a complete renovation of the building and now one of the best looking bars on Maui. A "Cheers" type bar where you will soon feel welcomed and one of the regulars minutes after coming in. Great drink specials. Great place to stop by on the bike or in car and play some pool and listen to some great music.

Clean, best on weekends, local. It's a dive biker bar without the fights and filth. a few times a week they even have free food.

I know they have entertainment some nights and bikers on Sunday for their Karaoke, but for me it's a GREAT lounge after work for a pau hana beer! You can always find friendly customers, and the staff are super!
