Good Sushi, inexpensive, and friendly service. Make sure you have cask. The deluxe family platter had so many good pieces in it- there were about 20 pieces of California roll- I am not a big fan of vegetable rolls- but the maki pieces made up for it. We ordered Ahi nigiri rolls- wow, 6 pieces for $7- An incredible price, they had a lot of Ahi on then. The rice was gummy- the way I like it.

Yelp 31 Challenge: 19/31 Sushiman is everywhere! But this one in Wahiawa has to be the first time that I have ever actually stopped in to try their take on sushi on the go. I ordered the Spicy Ahi and Crab Salad Bowl. They call it the Special Bowl and offer it in Mild, Medium or Spicy. Since I am no stranger to Spicy, that's exactly how I ordered it. Much to my schigrin, the gal behind the counter cautioned me against ordering it that way as she said that many find it to be overwhelming. I assured her readily that I was not a stranger to spice and to just let me have it the way as ordered it. Appreciate the caution, but I know what I want. About 5 minutes later, the little gal delivers a mild version of the Special Bowl to my table. WTF? Really??? The bowl was decent. Kinda skimpy but plenty to eat for a light lunch. But c'mon now! Give it to me the way I ordered it! Having spoke to the gal after my meal, I mentioned to her that the bowl was not spicy at all. She said NEXT TIME, she will let me have it the way I asked. Next time? There might not be one!

Located in one of Wahiawa's shopping centers near Foodland. There is a lot of parking of during lunch or right before dinner it can get really packed! So I'm probably not going to be the best reviewer for all the different types of sushi they offer because... I don't eat raw fish. Yup. No raw fish. Why am I eating here you ask? Because I like the california roll... lol! Ooh, california roll WITHOUT mayo! Yup, that's all I eat hehe! But for some reason... they make the california roll SO GOOD here! I know it's nothing special... just the rice, nori, imitation crab, cucumber, and avocado.. but it just tastes so damn good here! Better than genki and literally half the price! Sorry that I can't offer more help with the other types of items sold here... but just know that the california roll is damn good!

This place is awesome. They have great sushi at super cheap prices. If you want sushi for a party do it through sushi man, they have insane party platters for ridiculously cheap. Did I mention how good their sushi is? I did but I'll say it again, it's great! Everytime I come here I get the ahi poke nigiri, medium heat with no mayo...soooooo good! Ahh spicy ahi poke nigiri, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways 1, 2, 3, a googleplex. I love it. If you like boil your eyebrows off heat get it spicy, if you just like spicy get it medium, if you just want delicious poke flavor get it mild. Any way you decide to order it, it's gonna rock. Another great thing is that the entire staff is SUPER awesome. Like UBER awesome! I call to place an order and they know what I want as soon as I start ordering. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Super friendly and helpful...awesome. Go get some today! I did and it was most ono. Be sure to bring cash because this place is cash only. If you forget, the foodland right next door has an ATM so its all good! GO NOW!!!

3 1/2 stars. A perfect day for me includes a nice find at a thrift store and a simple lunch. I live a charmed life, and am gifted just such a day from time to time. Here's how it works- Make an appointment with a mechanic I trust. yelp.com/biz/tai-vw-and-… Leave car with Thomas around 9am, and spend the morning wandering through Wahiawa. Magically end up at Goodwill yelp.com/biz/goodwill-in… and note that I have 45 minutes to shop before Sushi Man opens. Take slightly longer than needed, and wander into Sushi Man around 10:15. Decide not to call my meal a late breakfast or an early lunch, and just enjoy. yelp.com/biz_photos/miCz… Come home to write a review and curse myself for not taking a decent photo. There is nothing special about the food at Sushi Man. It tastes just fine, and the rolls are well packed with fish and flavor, but it is the same fast food sushi that one can get just about anywhere on Oahu. What sets this sushi place above others for me is the service. I generally make it there only a few times a year, but am always welcomed with a smile, and always with greetings to send to my husband, who spent much more time running in for take out than actually sitting down. They are willing to tweak the menu ever so slightly and will not judge you for ordering extras for later. The space is very spare, but clean and as cheery as it can be. I do wish they would have something playing other than FOX, but I'm not the one who has to spend the day there, and I do appreciate the few minutes of "news" that I gather each time I visit.

Quuuuuick work lunch, that's all I have to say. I kinda wish this place had some kinda hot udon or ramen type dish because sometimes after I eat a bajillion rolls of sushi I'm still hungry. I'm a fatty, what can I say? I usually just get crab rolls and some shinko and cucumber maki to snack on after lunch. Word to the wise: most Sushimans have whole crab sticks in their rolls, this place has crab salad. For some people it might be a life or death situation (I totally understand; I feel the same way about mochi balls on shave ice... don't get me started). Their menu is kind of all over the place, so take the time to review each poster/flyer/sign/board that is in the place. It took me 3 trips to finally find the sign with all the hand rolls on it. Doh!

We go here so often that the staff knows me and what I am ordering whenever I go there. I like to order their Special bowl and the Crab Nigiri. The portions are just right. The wait time is not long at all. I've been to other Sushiman places but this place is the best by far.

I love this place! Great quick stop for sushi. The counter girls are always friendly and the prices are always good too. I personally like the spicy ahi nigiri cuz I like the shirachi(is that how you spell it?) hot sauce. My son grinds their egg nigiri, its nice, light, and a bit sweet. My only gripe is that they are a little stingy on the wasabi. But if u ask then you shall receive a bit more. Overall, great place to go for a quick bite. Better and cheaper than Genki in my opinion. I always go here once a week.

I've eaten here probably fifty times and maybe they are a three star restaurant but the fact that it's kinda grungy and hasn't been updated in five years, no bathroom, no credit cards, and they force you to listen to CNN makes the atmosphere not as nice as the food or price which are good.

Basic sushi place. Good portions though.

The apperance isn't the greatest... but the sushi is made quick, fairly cheap, and good portioms!

This place is just awful. Thin flavorless meat that gave me diarrhea for a full night and day. I couldn't go to work because I couldn't leave the bathroom for very long. I suppose the only reason they are in business is because they seem to be the only sushi shop in Wahiawa. Spend your time and money on the gas or a bus ticket and get something worthy. If fewer stars we're possible this place would get a negative five.

I was really liking this place, but after being charged $3.50 for this keiki spam & rice with no return after entering the price is ridiculous. Should of been told the price upon making it since it wasn't on their menu. Guess I'll be finding another sushi place. FYI: a spam roll is $1.59 which is pretty much the same size. O'well, lesson learned.

Retail plaza sushi? Sure! Why not? I was heading into the Wahiawa Foodland and you never want to shop hungry, right? So I popped in for a quick nash. I had the Spicy Ahi Poke Don ($6.99), a generous serving of rather plain, but nicely spiced Ahi Poke on a bed of sushi rice. Very simple presentation, acceptably fresh ingredients, and quite tasty if just a bit salty for my taste. Worth a stop if you're in Wahiawa grocery shopping, hitting the Goodwill store, doing your laundry, etc!

Phoenix maki, medium spicy with mayo to get the ahi a little creamy and no ebiko. Omg I was in love. Soo good. I love how they will customize each roll just they way you want it. Definitely coming back.
