What a sleeper! There are at least 6-7 places to eat in this no-name shopping plaza in Wahiawa and it figures I'd try this place last. Awesome eats!! First stop I had the chicken wings and fish katsu curry combo. Sounded interesting and was! 3 chicken wings, a shrimp, a scallop and a small filet nestled on rice and surrounded by a beautiful curry. Nothing fancy and very little "wow factor", but everything was cooked perfectly. I ate every last morsel. Was hungry with an empty fridge again tonight so made a point of stopping in again. Ordered the teriyaki chicken and garlic shrimp combo plus a side order of fried oysters in curry. I'd noticed these on the last trip, but it was too late to order them! Got home and was nothing less than thrilled again! I started with the oysters. There were 5 instead of the advertised 4 in the side order and they were beautiful! Panko crusted and fried to a gorgeous golden color. They were crispy on the outside and luscious in the inside. The best fried oysters I've ever eaten!! I couldn't believe it, but all 5 of those beauties were the same... perfectly cooked and delicious! This place is worth trying for the oysters alone. It's worth a trip up from town for the oysters alone!! The teriyaki chicken and garlic shrimp were much like my first experience here... nothing earth moving, but perfectly cooked! The cooking technique of auntie or uncle, I'm not sure who cooked what, is impeccable! I noticed both times here the wait was a little long, but I'm sold! My new fav place!

Have dined here dozens of times. Never disappointed with my orders. Gyoza is high quality Japanese style. All other dishes are highly acceptable. Great Ma Bo Tofu. Cash only. Five star restaurant for Wahiawa; 3-4 star in town.

I've wondered why they're still around as everytime I go by, it's empty. It's cold so I go in and order a Char Siu Ramen to go. Not cheap. I can get a similar product for a couple dollars less but then I'd have to drive to Kaimuki and gas & parking would cost more. They package the soup in a different container so the noodles won't get soggy (a good thing). The photo shows that they also have choi sum besides the char siu. That's one reason I got that particular ramen. Get home, no choi sum but got won bok... disappointing. Maybe next time I'll get the jook. $3.50 cheaper. The taste is good though.

Average food, horrible policy. I needed to use my bank card. They charge a service fee!! So you don't want my business? Compare: Make it easy for customers to purchase your food= more business. Make it a cost burden= no tip and less business! I'll never go again

I wanted to like this place, it reminded me of Sumos restaurant that I like in town, but after seeing & then eating my plate I'm very disappointed. Randomly chose this place amongst a variety in the area. All prices on menu has been blocked off by black tape or something... I decided to order the shrimp tempura & gyoza combo, my bf got the mochiko chicken gyoza combo. We both agreed we loved the gyoza, but everything else was meh. One star for the decent gyoza & ..mehh.. tempura. The rice was really dry and my mac salad tasted a bit unusual. Half cooked mac drenched in mayo and strip carrots. Taste similar to possibly exposed food in the fridge. Not to mention the plates were pretty small for $9/10ea... Don't think I'll be trying this place again. No wonder this place was always empty when passing..

Located in the shopping center near Longs on California Avenue in Wahiawa. There are a few food choices in this center... but Oishii Cafe probably has the freshest, tastiest food to offer. The owners are very friendly and the restaurant is small but clean and nicely organized. They have an array of items on the menu... different ramens, udons, garlic shrimp, shrimp tempura, chicken wings, fish, scallops, salads, gyoza, etc... My boyfriend got the chicken katsu curry with rice and gyoza and I tried the shrimp tempura and ma bo tofu. He LOVED the katsu curry. Chicken is breaded and not over cooked and the curry sauce has just enough kick. The tempura is fresh and huge with a nice sauce to accompany it. The ma bo tofu portion is HUGE with LOTS of flavor and I love how everything is fresh and not pre cooked. Prices are a little on the higher end side... $11-$13 a plate vs. the $6-8 plates next door... but the quality of the food and the quantity that you get definitely makes it worth it! TRY OISHII CAFE!

I started working in Wahiawa six months ago and have made it my mission to sample as many Wahiawa restaurants as possible. I went to Oishii restaurant today and got a fried rice/gyoza combo. The price was $10, which I thought was steep, since I can get a combo with fried rice, gyoza *and* ramen for $10 at other ramen places around the island. The flavor was good, but the portions were stingy as well. I'm female and I don't think I eat that much, but this meal wouldn't have been enough to satisfy those with heartier appetites. This place is a mom/pop type establishment and I wanted to give them a better rating because I want to give small businesses a break, but either they should lower their prices or give a larger portion for the amount that they charge. Tastewise, the food was fine.

I work nearby this restaurant and I eat here once to twice a year. The only reason I even choose to eat there is because I get tired of everything else, but I soon regret it once I start eating. Don't ask me why I keep going. First off, the pricing for the quality is just outrageous. They charge an arm and a leg, give you nibbles of food that tastes mediocre. The past couple times I ordered their chicken katsu curry the katsu was burnt and dry. Their char sui saimin is good, but still way over priced. My most recent meal I ate there from a couple days ago was about $15 for a mini chicken katsu curry and a side gyoza (5pc). Not worth it. Once, I order side gyoza and they cooked it too fast so the inside wasn't hot at all. I wouldn't recommend anyone wasting their time trying this place out because it is just way to expensive for below average food. I'd go to Curry House or other Ramen houses in Mililani than waste money here.

This place is like a genki ramen & L&L combined. Looks like its run by a Chinese family. Only reason I went here was shiges was closed. Ramen was ok but not great.
