used to frequent Subway quite often when my girls were younger. especially when we wanted to pick up sandwiches for the beach or a road trip. stopped at this location for a 6in club on Italian herb and cheese because I was at the area shops. I was quite pleased when I walked in and was greeted by a worker behind the counter. there were 3 women, 2 making sandwiches and 1 ringing up orders. it was a pretty smooth operation and I was impressed. it was lunch time and the line stayed pretty consistent with at least 3 people in line. today was a great experience and I hope for the same next time!

Ordered a six-inch sub from an employee who had on trainee name tag. I asked for spinach, got 4 leaves. Olives, 6 slices. Jalapeno, 3 slices. I've never seen an employee literally count each item being placed on a Subway sandwich. I didn't want to ask for more of every item I wanted, it was just too much trouble and I really think that would've made the employee cry. I believe Management must've told this trainee exactly how much to put on a sandwich. Which was sorely less than I usually would get at this and other Subways. It was the worst service experience I've had at any Subway. Please manager, train your employees to not be so tight with the vegetables that it appears ridiculously inconsistent compared with the regular employees. I'm not patronizing your Subway for awhile. It's just not worth it. Glad I didn't order a footlong.

On my last visit the other day it was busy for lunch. There were already about 12 people eating their sandwiches and a few people in line. I thought that my order would take forever but it didnt. It was quick to order. The seating is a little weird though. THey have regular tables right in front of the counters. Off by the door, there are a couple of high cocktail tables. As you enter to the right, there are a couple of round cafe style tables. They are very low like a coffee table and each table had two lounge style chairs. It seems weird. Its hard to eat a sandwich over a table so low. Youd have to lean over because you know stuff is going to fall out of your sandwich while youre eating it. Also, they were out of lids for some sizes of sodas. The Tuscan Chicken was their specialty sandwich. Footlongs for $7.

New and clean with an interesting seating-arrangement-thing goin' on here. A few high tables, some normal height ones and a couple of low-rider tables (perfect for little ones) with sofa chairs. Most importantly, with the hot weather on the west-side, it's nice and cool inside. The decor is appetizing with pics of giant tomatoes, breads and cheeses on the wall. A large flat screen highlights the dining area, but strangely it's fixed on displaying the dining area. What? Yeah, you can watch yourself, or yourself watching someone else, or vice-versa. "Look at that loser eating all by himself... Wait! That's me!" I haven't been to a Subway in a while and notice they offer breakfast subs now, and they're served all day. Your choice of an English Muffin Melt $2 - $2.75 or 6 inch Sub $3.25 - $5.75. Breakfast flavors come in Egg & Cheese or Ham, Bacon, Steak or Sausage with Egg & Cheese. Customer service is prompt and cordial. This Subway is a nice place to get a quick, healthy meal and get out of the heat.

I would gladly drive past the Subway in the Kapolei Shopping Center to eat at this location. They are quick and make ordering easy. I've been here at least ten times and never had a problem getting my food quickly and always able to find a table. There's never been a rush when I've eaten here which is a good thing, but I could care less. I would eat my sandwich in my car if I had to. Cheap subs with a bunch of veggies is all I'm really after right?

This is probably the dirtiest Subway I've been to. I thought the first time it was a fluke, because they were very busy and the place was crowded, with people taking seats seconds after someone else left them, but the second time we went, it was dirty as well -- tables not wiped down, food and wrappers on the floor, etc. The staff was friendly -- not at all like the bad attitudes some others reported. The food quality was as good as other Subways, so no complaints there.

I ordered the chicken marinara sub, but was disgusted to find my chicken was slimy and undercooked. I returned it and the girl who made it for me the first time apologized and said she'd make me a new one. Then some jerk behind the counter asks me to prove to him my chicken was undercooked. So i hand it to him, he takes it in the back, brings it back and says "this isn't undercooked so you can keep it and give it to someone." Working in restaurants for 7 years, I'm pretty sure I know what an undercooked chicken tastes and looks like. Don't know how this asshole got a customer service job but he should be picking up crap for a living. 2 stars because the girls working were very professional and polite.

Recently went in here to get me one of those monthly specials. Which was suppose to be $6.00. Apparently, Management needs to train their employees. Got charged $7.25 for their $6.00 monthly special. Employee was not aware of the special or how much she charged me. Employees also need to do their job and pay attention instead of flirting with the hot young security guard! Other than that it was a good sandwich. I'm afraid this Subway gets only one star. $6.00 sub!!!!

Go Next Door! ...this subway is the worst experience ever... the girls behind the counter didnt know what they were doing they were really sassy... the sandwich was prepared decently but they tried to over charge me since they were too focused chatting with each other about their daily drama. I will stick with other subways or aloha salads next door.

I don't know if everyone else was served by this location's A-Team and I got the Z-Team but I had a totally different experience. The two girls behind the counter looked like they thoroughly hated their jobs (and us for ordering) and took their time sparsely throwing veggies on the bread. The employee who was making our sandwiches never changed out her gloves between orders (previous sandwiches had uber greasy bacon), threw our sandwiches in a bag with used, mustard stained napkins and rang us up. Twenty minutes later, Kamehameha's Revenge hit and I got to spend the remainder of the evening curled up in the fetal position from a bad case of food poisoning. Horrible service, horrible ingredients (tomatoes and spinach looked way past their prime). Only reason to come here us if you are a masochist.

I've been on a Subway kick for some time now and I love that there are two Subway shops near me. This one is convenient because parking is great and plentiful. But be warned! What is it about Subway and their customer service? I came here with my son yesterday for a late lunch and when we entered there was a strange vibe in the restaurant. There was no customers there and three girls working the front. Not one acknowledged us and we stood at the counter waiting to be asked what we wanted. Extremely weird vibe! From beginning to end, there was a disconnect in service. Waited a long time for cheese to be added to my sub to the point that i just asked for whatever was quicker and throw onto the sub. Paying was just as strange. The girls at the counter were just NOT interested in working. I think that's the bottom line. Ordering two subs ordinarily would have taken less than 5 minutes (okay...maybe 7 if you're picky) but I felt they were moving in slow motion. I seriously was imagining me voicing my order out in that warped slow motion voice but in reality I really wasn't (in my mind I'm thinking, "WELCOME TO THE TWILIGHT ZONE). Let's just put it this way....it took forever to get two subs ordered and paid for (true story). The restaurant was hot, tables were dirty and not picked up after. Surprisingly, our subs were fine! I mean seriously? How can you mess up a sandwich when all you have to do is throw it together, wrap it up and wallah - FOOD! The ingredients were nothing to rave about - it's a sub! There's a level of expectation that is consistently met when you go to a Subway. You know what to expect and you know what they taste like - much like going to any fast food place. Beauty of it is the ingredients are in plain site for you to choose from. All in all, customer service at this location is a little off and leaves you wondering, "did she hear me?" and "sheesh....for goodness sakes! it's a sandwich! Literally get it together women!"

I should've known I was getting old bread when my sandwich maker kept pressing on my bread in between placing veggies. I guess he was trying to see if he could soften it up because when I finally opened up my sandwich at home it was hard and dry! They supposedly make fresh bread everyday so why give your customer the old bread?! Next time I will remember to ask when the bread was last made or ask which is their newly baked to ensure I get fresh product. Sad I will have to do that for future to avoid getting a bad sandwich

I really like Subway. Overall they make good sandwiches, and let's face it, each restaurant varies by MAYBE 10%. You're basically going to get the same Subway sandwich in New York City, Columbus Ohio, and Kapolei Hawaii. Same Sub. Now, there are 2 Subway restaurants in Kapolei. This one (next to Target) and the other one (next to Safeway). That 10% difference I talked about is VERY noticeable between the 2 restaurants. At this subway (the one next to Target): -It's always clean. Not clean enough that I would eat off the floor, but clean enough that I would eat off the tables. It's surprising how many fast food restaurants don't meet this basic standard. -They always say "Hi, Welcome to Subway" when you walk in. Take a trip to the mainland some time. Other places don't do this, and you'll find yourself missing the greeting and friendliness. -One girl remembers my sub as "the usual". Seriously, when has that ever happened to you? It's something you only see in movies and hear on the wind as legend. I'll tell you what, it's awesome!!! Nothing cooler than saying "the usual" and walking away while the sub gets made. At the other subway (the one next to Safeway with all the positive reviews) -Space is small and claustrophobic. -Restaurant is average clean. Nothing special, same as the other subway. -I walked in during normal business hours. Both employees we're in the back room (working?). No one came to the front for 5 minutes. I yelled back. No answer. I yelled again. Nothing. So I called the phone number for that Subway and watched the phone in front of my face ring. It rang for about 5 minutes. No kidding, at this point I was just seeing what would happen. Eventually (it was a long time) one of the employees ambled out of the back like they had just gotten unfrozen from carbonate in Star Wars. Were they sleeping? Stocking shelves in some remote part of the store with headphones on? Smoking dubbie after dubbie out back? Who knows... Well I got my sub and decided not to go back. Fun social experiment, not fun way to get dinner.

Huge fan of Subway! I never, and hardly ever change anything on my order, especially when I get my Italian B.M.T! The customer service here was a bit off, the girls there seemed like they didn't like their job at all. Maybe because it was a boring day, or may be the people they work with. The ingredients here, I most def. had to change especially the tomatoes. YUCK! I always want tomatoes on my sandwich, but it just wasn't fresh to me. There is always parking though, and you can eat inside, but it's so tiny in here, when you finish your order, you can barely get around to get your drink especially if there is a long line and other people are trying to order. People come in all shapes and sizes, and having a small subway like this one does NOT help, and having the soda machine SO close to the order line is also a big No-no. I'll come back, but maybe they need to check up on their produce. That is NOT the business!
