I visit this Starbucks at least 3 times a day.. I got to say the staff that work there is quick and smooth...also able make certain the line wait to be short so customers go in and out quickly. .. however today there are 2 managers working azeim and the lady but there skills of organization is very slow..... u would think that because they are managers they of all the worker should be quicker... fastest. .. and smoother yet they are Extremely slow and line wait is long long long. .. I don't understand it this morning both manager were front and center working the register and one making the drink... lady manager handling the register line toook forever with getting the line down. .. than the guy manager making the drinks well as always he is terrible at mixing my caramel machitto it was bitter... however didn't not want to deal with them and the line as I would be there another 30 minutes trying to fix my drink... please Starbucks district manager Lori please find a way to not have both managers scheduled at the same time. ...when they are scheduled on the same shift everything is messed up... Thank God my second visit today the line was still long and lady manager still taking forever managing the line slowly but at least Noe was there to save the day and make my drink as the drink was good on the 2nd visit. ..

No matter what time I'm here, 4:30am (I'm normally the first customer) or 430pm, they always have a smile and a kind word!

It just depends... on when you go and who they've hired at that time. Any restaurant or chain is hit or miss... because MOST of the time the same employees don't stay... TODAY though... the employees were okay. Just as Chuco T. stated... it's just another starbucks. Nothing really stands out and staff wasn't super exceptional nor were they super crappy... just okay. The drink itself was okay too. Facility is clean. Nothing impressive. Parking sucks during peak hours! A-OK.

A rather small starbucks location. The closest one to my house within walking distance :) I recently been studying here with my friend for our nursing licenses. Remember to charge your laptop before you bring it with you because there are only TWO outlets to charge your computer :( Other than that they've added one of my new flavors SALTED CARAMEL hot chocolate :) i love salted caramel! The service is the best and will gladly remake your drink if you do not like it :)

Missing Ava but glad she got a promotion with the company, she made this store with her friendly attitude and morning hellos! The rest of the team is just as friendly and they know how to make my drink which is important to me in the morning!

Consistent quality, friendly staff. Met the manager today and it's awesome to see someone that loves what they do. Howard Schultz would be proud.

Friendly staff who have excellent customer service! We dropped our drink and they wouldn't let us clean it up. They gave us another drink for free!

While the service and drinks may be acceptable, I MUST say....managerial professionalism.....leaves MUCH to be desired!! Myself, along with MANY friends of mine, are now on a hiatus from this Starbucks (and any) for the way the manager treated me... Long story short... * had to go on medical leave from teaching...needed part-time job close to home to maintain ability to pay bills, even though I no longer had driver's license * applied at Starbucks....was supposed to meet with manager Saul on a Sunday... * went in...he had called out that day....I called the next day * we made appt for my interview * went in and had interview...I even QUOTED the Starbucks mission statement! He said he had NEVER had anybody do that and that he was HIGHLY impressed. Halfway through my interview, he tells me how he doesn't want me for a barista, he wants me for a shift supervisor, but will let me know on Monday at noon * Monday, at 11:30, my husband and I go in to buy coffees before we go get our marriage certificate....Saul led us BOTH to believe that I got the position, but wouldn't tell me one way or another. Said he would call me in 20 minutes to tell me.... * 30 minutes later....tells me I'm "too overqualified" for the job, but an amazing woman...that the Starbucks pay wouldn't give me justice. (these reasons didn't make sense) The other day, I called back to see if maybe it was something I could improve upon for my next interview....the more I was on the phone with him (I was VERY professional), he went to insult me, saying that I am too boisterous...that he could see that as a distraction and that I seemed like someone who would nitpick little details and wouldn't be able to adapt to a busy environment (wow...really? i've been in retail since 15-years old and have done kindergarten teaching for years in the past...) AND THEN he goes on to say that there is such a thing as being TOO persistent with a position and that I came off as desperate, which made him not want to hire me. (I called three times total...all of them trying to get the darn initial interview...after that, I didn't see/hear from him till the day of the "verdict.") I told him I disagreed with his opinion, however, he was entitled to it. He was very rude to me and kept insulting me to where I finally hung up. I think he was just miffed that someone didn't just take his decision as gospel, but called back for better explanation for clarification...aka...he's full of crap. Since then, I have not bought a Starbucks drink. If being cheerful and outgoing, focusing on customer service is being "distractingly boistrous," then....sign me up. Saul, you IN NO WAY should be what stands for Starbucks....you're as bitter as the coffee grounds at the bottom of the pot at closing time....

This is one of 2 starbucks in the Kapolei, & compared to the other one, this place seems to have more.."in stock" I should say.. Personally I only really get the Vanilla Bean w/coffee frap which is always ok when we come here. Serivce is pretty fast, as in getting our order, whish is usually just 2 orders (yeah, thats saying a lot lol)... Im a fan.

MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE REVIEW: BARISTA SAID THEY NO LONGER HAVE PAIRINGS!!!! Aaahhh, it made a difference in my mind! The baristas here are alright, some much better than others (as usual). It's a good place to meet up with people since there is parking right in the front of the store. I like it enough to keep coming back. Well, that, and it's on my way to work.

    (3)

Great staff! Keep up the great service bc let's face it- most coffee is the same, but YOU make the difference.

I had to write a review on behalf of my hubby....i took his DEBT card out of his wallet and forgot to put it back....Last week he took my daughter to Starbucks Kapolei for some hot chocolate and when he went to pay, he realized he didn't have his card. The friendly workers there have the coffee and Chocolate to them anyway and my hubby and daughter had a great date night!

their oatmeal isthe instant packet type! i could have done that...but of course...i don't want to soooo...heh heh also, they ran out of bowls so i drank my oatmeal from a tall coffee cup..hahaha next time i'll go next door to jamba juice.

Out of all the Starbucks I have been to, the girls behind the counter here are great! They are all friendly and make you feel like they know you, it is always crowded here at this location but for the great service I don't mind the wait!

  • Rita L.

so sad...very busy store but poor service. 3 workers was definetely not enought for the amount of customers that was here. we waited awfully long for my gingersnap latte. the latte i got was the worst i ever had...i don't think it even had the ginger syrup or flavoring, it was very bad! i don't know, this was my worst starbucks experiance ever. a lot of the other customers were complaining too, the baristas weren't nice at all... very sad...

The Starbucks across Kapolei Shopping Plaza closes way to early WTH? it like 820 and they are closed. And this is more than one occasion that this happened.

I'm here all the time studying for exams. Always a good flow of traffic and in this store and the line can get a bit hectic at times. My main concern is finding a plug for my laptop. Serving are all very freindly, the store is clean and bright. Im a regular

  • Keane L.

I love this Starbucks. It's my hometown, dangit! When my friend and I happen to visit home at the same time, we go down here and reminisce over coffee and/or chai. The store is spacious and the outside area is nice (though a bit smoggy from Farrington). Service is excellent, of course. I'm not sure why Starbucks.com is mapping the store by Ko Olina. I'm pretty sure this is the one by the Kapolei Shopping Center... I miss you smoggy patio...

  • Brian J.

I'm not usually a fan of Starbucks but when it's a fucking 100 degrees out with 100% humidity, You gotta have something cold like a Frapp to cool you down. My wife and I like to hang out here when we need to get away from Waianae. Minus one star just bcuz it's a Starbucks.

    (4)
  • Am C.

Still one of my favourite locations. I like that I can sit here and get some work done -- I can't really do that at other Starbucks anymore. Anyway, I just remembered that I saw two guys wearing Citizenship & Immigration Services polos tackle and cuff a woman outside here one day. Note to anyone in Kapolei illegally: maybe go to a different Starbucks.

  • J K.

I have to start off by saying that I love starbucks coffee and a gold member with their rewards program. Throughout my coffee journey with Sbux I have noticed that the staff in each Starbucks brings a unique quality to your coffee. I've had good and bad coffee at different locale but I must say that this starbucks has a 50/50 crew. Meaning 50% of them are awesome and the other half.....not so much. Morgan and Jasmine are awesome right off the bat. Totally personable and just so friendly. Luana on the other hand always Jacks something up....your name, payment, coffee order-- you say hot she makes it iced?! Today my lovely creation of coffee bliss was not so great. It tasted burnt/bitter. I really hope that this team can get it together.

  • Cynthia M.

When I went to school in Kapolei, I used to stop here weekly to enjoy my daily frap. The staff are all animaited and super friendly. I love the fact they remember your order! You can't beat that level of customer service. Parking is hectic at peak times so beware. Everything is always well stocked so that's a plus. Starbucks is my addiction and the staff makes this store fun. =)

    (4)
  • Serena K.

I usually come to this Starbucks because it is the most convenient and the staff are typically kind. Recently though, I've been having the barista named Kayla make my drinks and each time I've received her drinks it has been a disappointment. Don't know why there's a picture of her on this page with positive feedback when she's probably the worse barista I've ever experienced.

    (2)
  • Megan B.

Your usual Starbucks. Our cashier was nice and friendly. He made recommendations and even offered to grind our pound of coffee for us. The barista seemed to be doing her own thing and not really looking up. My drink was as usual. No complaints.

    (5)
  • Renee H.

The baristas treat you like crap. I wanted to buy a mug that had no price tag & they were so clueless they told me to buy the same mug at another location that would have the price tag on it! Ridiculous! Why in the world would I drive to another location because you can't find a price?! Then they take forever to make my drink, probably on purpose, and they throw the straw at me! Don't waste your time here people! They lack customer service big time! They don't even deserve one star.

    (1)
  • Nanea L.

Regular. lol I'm not a coffee drinker so I only come here for rice krispy treats after I get a jamba juice:) Located right next to Jamba Juice in the Kapolei Commons Shopping Center one of them at least by the Chevron. Staff are friendly and cool and fast. Same starbucks vibe. Idk what else there is to say... haha

I live in town and I had to go to the DOT in Kapolei. I stopped in this Starbucks and couldn't believe how great the service was! The person who took my order and the barista who handed me my coffee were so friendly I was thinking I have to yelp this (and I barely yelp). Then on my way out the person who took my order called me by name (took name for coffee obviously) to say bye and have a nice day. That took it to another level. And they could've skipped taking a name because I was the only one ordering at the time. I have to go to the DOT building often and I will now make it a point to stop at this particular Starbucks location. FYI it looks as if there are two locations being confused here on yelp. I hope the right reviews are going to the correct store. Someone wrote about the space too small for meetings and this location is quite big. Yelp shows two locations very close to each other and pictures of both stores are mixed in under them.

I have been meaning to write a review for a while now. But better late than never! This is BY FAR, my favorite Starbucks!! They're all so friendly..you're greeted from the moment you walk in and they just have so much personality. If you've been here before or are a regular, you know what I mean. I've been to other Starbucks, where they are not as friendly and kind of just rush you along to get to the next customer (whether or not there is a next customer). They are also very efficient (and I'm not just saying that because they already know my order!) - granted, of course you might have to wait a little longer on some days because of the rush but that's like any Starbucks. Only downfall that was mentioned is the parking, which is not their fault. Whether I may have a stressful day or week ahead, grumpy mood, or just a pick me up..this is the Starbucks that I always have to go to!!

    (5)
  • Joy Celeste P.

It's surprisingly unkempt & all tables were not cleaned & wiped & my green tea latte was powdery. Quality should not be sacrificed just for the sake of being fast & rushing considering there's no one else in line. I'm looking forward to the improvement for a next visit.

  • Kyle Y.

My usual Starbucks location since it's the closest to my house. Great customer service.

    (5)
  • Chuco T.

Just another starbucks. The reality of the matter is, i only go to this location because its the closest to my house. The staff is fine enough, and the interior is much the same as any other. though, it is a bit smaller than a lot of the other locations i frequent. Also, being right next to one of the major transfer points for the bus, there tend to be a lot of kids hanging out outside. Usually not an issue, but sometimes they can be annoying. 7 times out of 10 they get my coffee order right. And 8 times out of 10, its done quickly. Not bad, but surely not great. However, convenience, and convenience alone will continue to bring me back

  • Aurora L.

This is the best Starbucks ever! Friendliest, most upbeat baristas anywhere. Quick service despite the long line.

    (5)
  • Annie W.

The baristas and workers are awesome here. Aside from their excellent memory, it's their great service. If you are a regular, they are good at remembering your special drink order. I can have my decaf coffee or my chocolate shakes just the way I like them. They do have a steady consistent staff and I noticed they hired new employees. I use my gift card that I registered on line to rack up my points. After a specific amount of purchase, anyone can obtain GOLD status. The perks of enrolling the card online is free refills. Now that I know about all these deals, I feel appreciated as a loyal customer. #24/365

Starbucks should be ashamed! We went in at 4;30pm I on a Monday and the place was pretty dead but it was so dirty. They had coffee spilt all over the counter where they were making our drinking a and no one was cleaning it up. One of my boys need to go to the bathroom so I got the code from one of the workers. Thinking that this would be the best place to use the restrooms since I have been to many SB in all the states we trace to and no matter how busy they are their bathrooms are typically clean well big surprise It was disgusting. This has to be dirtier than a truck stop gas station. Really need to work on this Starbucks!!

    (1)
  • Daniel L.

What more can anyone say about Starbucks..... Its an household name brand, Starbucks does a fabulous job in quality control. To ensure each and every customer have the same experience if not similar experience at every Starbuck worldwide. With that said, I can only say this Starbucks has come to what I would expect....

    (4)
  • J D.

I was sooo disappointed to have my frappucino without whipped cream because the cashier guy said we had an influx of frappucino buyers for happy hour that day and they used up all the whip. You would think such a chain as this should at least really stock up on whip. Or send someone to go get more whip. I could imagine the many "im so sorry we are out of whip" they had to say that day. Also i noticed the girl behind the counter didn't look all that pleased to be working that day. She could've at least put in a smile.

    (1)
  • Shelby B.

Like every Starbucks this one was the same. But the counter area is a nice view to sit by yourself. I went to this Starbucks to wait for my car to get serviced. This Starbucks also has a bathroom, that's a bonus. But not much room for seating inside although they do have outdoor seating.

    (4)
  • Taylor C.

Not my favorite Starbucks, but it'll do when I'm in the area and don't have time to stop by the one near Costco. The workers are friendly, but always seem to be changing - and therefore can be slow due to inexperienced workers both at the register and making drinks. Another reason this review is only three stars is that this location always seems to be out of something, even though I have a variety of drinks to order. Their cold case is also always seemingly empty even during mid morning hours when it's slow.

    (3)
  • Aggie C.

Kapolei has a couple of locations to get coffee. THIS ONE is my favorite one! Before I start my review, you will need to know that I am known a starbuck's regular by staff in 5 locations (so I get complicated drinks! I can't help it! it's not my fault they remember!) I'm not one that likes to get the same drink each time. So when I say they get my order right all the time, they really do! (test me if you like, I know a lot of off the menu items and substitutions ^_^) They have all the main things a Starbucks need, the full menu, food and clean seating area and all that. What makes this Starbucks different is the baristas! They are always friendly and helpful. What's really impressive is two baristas (Kayla and France) have memorized me and boyfriend's usual iced coffee orders. (Grande iced coffee, with heavy cream, no classic and sugar free cinnamon dulce/hazelnut.) When I order something different they also give me tips to make sure no matter what location makes it, they do it right every time. PLUS, did you know if ANY location gets your drink wrong, they can fix it for free?? ^_^* I'm unsure what people are talking about long wait. This location is pretty good. Even if there is a line, they are still fast. I'm sure they make some mistakes, but what business is ever perfect? NONE! The only thing I don't like is the parking lot is always full, but that is because there are more businesses in the complex. So I give this place 5 stars for being rock star baristas and putting up with my crazy drink orders.

    (5)
  • Dina V.

Conveniently located just down the hill and amidst a bunch of other businesses. Plenty of parking. I've never encountered NOT finding a parking space yet. Baristas are always friendly and get my drinks correct AND even spell my name right!! Always a plus.

    (4)
  • Stephanie M.

Service is always friendly here. There usually isn't a long line and when there is, the wait isn't too long. I'm a simple gal with a simple coffee order so I usually don't get my order botched. The drinks come out quick and always yummy. Parking can be limited but if you go around the right time you should be able to get in, out and on your way with your Starbucks drink or treat in no time. Free wifi and outside seating make for a nice little coffee session with a friend or to get some study time in.

    (5)
  • Jurija M.

Dirty counters and floors. Limited food options (especially for early morning). Broken ovens. Snotty baristas. Baristas who are talking about their last shift with "so-and-so" instead of paying attention to the customer. Seriously? This is why micromanaging exists. Some people need it and some places need it. I know this place does!

Don't waste your time at this Starbucks!!! Go to the other one down the street by Home Depot. I thought I'd give this Starbucks another try, but ended up leaving pissed. I ordered a iced caramel macchiato and a ham and cheese savory square. First off, there were 4 people behind the bar and a huge line forming. People were running around, but as you took a closer look, only two of them were working. I waited about 5 minutes for my drink, which was long, but fine. I started getting irritated when my drink came out and after waiting another 5 minutes, I asked about my savory square. The girl said it would be another minute, and overheard her coworker telling her that she forgot to push the button again. So, I had to wait another 7 minutes for my food. PISSED. Oh wait, but there's more... After my food came out, I grabbed it and ran out the door, since I was now late, and as I started eating it, I noticed that the pastry on the outside was hot, but the center was still cold. EVEN MORE PISSED!! I HATE THIS STARBUCKS!! I HATE THAT THE SERVICE IS SLOW AND INCREDIBLY INEFFICIENT!! DON'T MESS WITH PEOPLE IN THE MORNING WHEN THEY HAVEN'T HAD THEIR COFFEE!!

    (1)
  • Al D.

Customer service is fine. Parking is bad though. I prefer the one down the street.

    (3)
  • Jac T.

When Starbucks was playing their "win Starbucks for life" game this past December, baristas were hoarding receipts and giving multiples to their favorite customers!! When purchasing a drink, they would not give/offer you your receipt, print it out, save it on the side, and give it to their favorite customers. That's not cool. Still awesome coffee and nice employees, though.

    (4)
  • Misty P.

This Starbucks is one of many in Kapolei. This is the one near the Chevron gas station, across the street from the Kapolei Shopping Center. Everytime I go here, my order is done right. There is also a male cashier who is always smiley and asks you how your day is going. Service is in and out and there is usually a lot of parking on the bus stop side of the store.

    (5)
  • Lenny B.

Went there to meet a client that lives on the leeward side. We chose this location instead of the others because it was bigger and easy to get back on the freeway to town for me. Our order consisted of coffee and Carmel frap and couple of pastries. They were very nice but they did not warm up the pastries as we asked too. The embarrassing part is they forgot about my caramel frap and had to wait another few minutes for my drink and leave my client outside waiting! Oh well, hope next time I'm here, they won't make that mistake.

    (2)
  • Tyler C.

Solid 4 stars because of the service and food. Service had gotten better and better. Very friendly and sincere. Good choice of food is every evolving at Starbucks, which is good for us huh. Also the clean environment with the new surroundings is great. But couldn't they fix the bathroom too since they renovated the interior? ?

    (4)
  • Cheryl T.

Service is always exemplary, my only gripe is the horrible parking lot. But that isn't their fault, so they still get 5 stars!! It's hard to be disappointed at a Starbucks. Even when they spell your name wrong, I anticipate seeing what they named me!!! And caffeine and bakery items, how child it ever be wrong ? I love Starbucks, gold rewards member thinking they need a platinum card!!!

I always come here and they are always friendly. But today David was exceptionally awesome. Great smile and eye contact. Nice touch with the my name as well. And we spoke about the Great Welcoming committee of Men greeting everyone. He said they are regulars. I was having a rough morning...but they all brightened my day. Thanks David and the Friendly Customers!!!

This is still my favorite Starbucks. The staff is always very friendly and cheerful. They also make sure my drink is to my liking. Special shout out to Alicia, Ava, Saul and France - who btw claims to be the best barista in the state...lol. P.S. Right now for the holidays, get a stamp card and every time you order a holiday drink you get a stamp. After 5 stamps you get a free grande. I heart my Starbucks.

  • Sidnee P.

I don't really go to Starbucks anymore but when I do it's at this location. Most of my visits are great and positive, which is why I can't give a 5 star review, but I'd just like to share the awesome service I received today after a rude customer totally cut in front of me. The cashier (agh totally forgot to get his name, but he was working on Easter around 5-6pm) was quick to acknowledge that I was first in line and tried to tell the other customer that, but the customer insisted he was first (he wasn't, he passed by me and said "excuse me", I had no idea he was cutting in front of me) so I just let the ass go because I didn't feel like dealing with unnecessary nonsense. I hope the cashier didn't think I was upset with him or anything, it wasn't his fault in any way haha, he was super nice and I really appreciated that he was ready to take my order first and he apologized and everything. Very good service :)
