Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Blood Pressure at Pizza Hut

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

delivery: in all my years of ordering from here, they've never been late except one time, but that's only because my neighbor stopped him in the front of my house because he thought it was his order. it's pretty crazy how convenient it is to order a pizza nowadays. every location has the same number, you can order online, through your television etc. crazy stuff the pizza: to me, this is the original pizza place. kinda how everyone feels like mcdonalds is the original fast food franchise. maybe it's because it was my first as well. but it set the standard for my taste for pizza. the dining: y'know, whenever you think of pizza you think delivery right? you never thought of walking into the pizza place to sit and eat. this place isn't bad. it's a little old and took a beating over the years, but it's not bad. they have an all you can eat buffet for pretty cheap with pizzas and pastas, wings, and even dessert pizza. right? PB&J pizza? never heard of it until i went in one day. definitely good for the kids though.

The specials have been really awesome and I appreciate the delivery but beware if you eat in resteraunt! Its not that clean in there and the service is a joke. I had a male waiter who looked like a teenager, serving us and making faces to friends who were waiting for him outside. It was horrible.

Service was nice and friendly. Parking lot seems very ghetto and definitely needs to be redone. Seemed very old inside.

Not bad at all. My wife and I came in to make a takeout order of 2 pizzas and 20 wings and we were pleasantly surprised after seeing some of the negative reviews. It took a little bit for the food to be prepared, but we were very happy with the wings ( 10 garlic parmesan and 10 spicy asian) and the pizza was actually very good. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that there is no on line ordering...that would have made this a 5 star experience. Definitely worth a visit and we might be back for nothing but wings in the future.

It has been a while since Ive been to this Pizza Hut location, and for good reason. Service.. That's is all that this review is about. Granted, its just a Pizza Hut and most do not expect much from this or any other fast food type of establishment. However, there still must be some form of customer service that requires and almost demands a certain level of job pertaining awareness and education. - Cashiers and servers (or anyone who stands there and asks: "Can I help you?" should know or have the ability to find out what is on the menu, what the specials are, and if they are "out" of any item. Most people would agree that the employee also needs to have some memory as to what their customer just ordered 1 minute ago without having to ask what they ordered, again. It also is general standard to give a practical, if not realistic time frame as to when the customer can expect to have their food/order ready by. But my all time pet peeve is when employees carry on personal conversations with other employees (or other customer's who end up being friends of the employees-who came by to chat) in front of you, when you are wanting some assistance or have a question for them. ----The saving grace of this place was and is not the food, but one manager who could tell the experience I was having was neither a fun or enjoyable one. She ended up correcting my order and improved the situation single handedly. I appreciated her alertness and attentiveness and she advised me that more training is probably required with some of the newer/younger employees. My kudos goes out to this manager. Shes got a lot to do.

actually no stars! there was a bug in my pizza and wen i turned it in the manager Rosy refused to let me take a pic after she said their would be no refund until after an investigation. The police was called and she sneered at me wen the cops said it was a civil matter. I guess she never heard of customer service!!!

While waiting 20+ minutes for a mini personal pizza, we saw a guy scratching his butt (his arm was all the way down his shorts, up to his elbow), then touching plates and counters for the salad bar. I hear the pizza itself was okay. Such a long wait, though. Not worth it.

I remember when Pizza Hut used to charge an extra fee for to-go pizza orders. How things have changed since then. There used to be a sit-down Pizza Hut restaurant in most towns but now, almost all of their locations are delivery and carry-out only. Kapolei's Pizza Hut is one of the few sit-down Pizza Hut restaurants that is NOT also a Taco Bell. I've always found the service here to be very good in the dining area but can be slow in the kitchen (when they get busy, they get BUSY). Give Pizza Hut Hawaii credit for consistency from location to location. Other than the occasional use of more-than-spec toppings, the pizza and pasta tastes pretty much the same wherever you go. The marinara pasta bake that we ordered was very good but then we like their spaghetti sauce. The bread sticks were only okay, too greasy for my tastes. Soda is self-serve and refillable, as is the case with all of the remaining dine-in Pizza Hut locations.

The customer service here is always great. The manager always makes sure she makes you feel welcomed and that your business is appreciated. The lunch buffet is what I come for. Drinks are refillable, all you can eat salad bar, pizza, dessert pizza, pasta, and breadsticks. I love their salad bar, salad is always fresh and just enough choices: cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, bell peppers, jalapeños, croutons, pineapples, and a few dressings! They always have fresh pizzas and its always filled, they make sure not to run out! They offer the lunch buffet daily and the dinner buffet is only on certain days, if I'm not mistaken I think Monday thru Thursday! You may want to double check on the dinner buffet days! It's every penny! Enjoy!

Not impressed. We were greeted from the kitchen by someone yelling through the counter asking if we were having the buffet. After confirming we were having the buffet she then again yelled from the kitchen for us to seat ourselves! Unbelievable! To make matters worse, the lunch buffet didn't have a wide variety of pizzas. There were only 5 selections and two slices of cinnapie when we arrived. There was no pasta or breadsticks. My daughter asked for cheese pizza because she doesn't like toppings. After waiting what seemed like forever the pizza finally came out. Still not impressed. They eventually brought out fresh pasta and breadsticks after I complained. I won't be back to this location.

The pizza here is fine. I mostly order from them when we get coupons in the mail. But every time I order delivery from them, it takes an hour! Why on earth does it take an hour when I order at 5:00 on a weeknight?! Might still buy from them, but never when I need my pizza delivered.

Sloooowwww service! Our pizza would have arrived faster if we placed a phone order. Waited almost an hour for our food. A lot of pizzas coming out of the oven but went straight to the boxes for delivery. Never mind all 10 dine in customers with children and a birthday celebrant waiting for their food! Forget all the hungry patrons. Where is the manager? Didn't he/she see all of us waiting? Won't be seeing us here again! oh, the to go boxes arrived faster than our food. 2 mins.! The server did not bother clearing our table, just gave us the check and walked away!

This is one of the few Pizza Hut on the island that you can still dine in and they still offer the carbohydrate over load pizza buffet. The lunch buffet is offered everyday 11:30am-1:30pm Dinner Buffet is offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm With the price it comes with a serve your own self refillable fountain drink. It also comes with cinnamon pizza as a dessert and the salad bar. Service: There a tons of workers in the back of the counter. But only 1 maning the floor. So I wouldn't recommend dining in for the regular menu cause this person is bussing, serving, refilling the buffet, greeting guests, and running around like a mad man. I have 2 boys. My 8 year old son cost $7.11 and my youngest is free (4 year olds and up have to pay). Yelp 31 day Challenge: 11/31 not for the carbohydrate challenged

First and last time here. We weren't expecting gourmet pizza but did think we'd get quality better than grocery store frozen aisle fare. Thick, odd tasting dough, limited salad bar items at buffet...not worth $11.50 :(

Kapolei is lucky to still have a PH dine in option! Cannot go wrong with Buffet lunch or dinner too. We took the kids and buffet included a drink and salad bar. That's a bargain! Pizza on the buffet was supreme, meat, garlic chicken, hawaiian, and cheese. They also had the pastas Alfredo and marinara. Salad bar also had Caesar and regular salad choices which were good!! Our server was nice and polite. We will def go back again or take out pizza too!

Had a late dinner there last night. We got there at 9 pm. They close at 10. We had just missed the dinner buffet ($12 pp). There was still a lot of food out on the buffet line. Instead of searching for a different place to eat (I'm tired of taco bell) we stayed and ordered off the menu. I remember when they used to serve different kinds of pasta. It's been so long since I've dined in a pizza hut. The menu is now very plain and simple. Pizza, two types of pasta bakes, wings, cinnamon sticks, etc. We opted for the family value meal with stuffed crust pizza. Total $42 for all four of us. This includes 2 large specialty stuffed crust pizza's, 5 breadsticks with marinara, cinnamon sticks with spooj...I mean, icing, and four drinks. It's normally $28 but we paid extra for the LARGE stuffed crust. The meal is actually for 2 med pizzas. They only make stuffed crust in large. We got a super supreme on one and 1/2 ultimate cheesy and meat lovers on the other. both were superb. The entire meal was delicious and hot n fresh. No complaints with food or service. My woe is while we were waiting for our food, we watched the girl clear the buffet directly into the TRASH! WHAT?!!! Do you know how many homeless people that would've fed? Hasn't anyone watched the 7-11 episode of Undercover boss? Yea yea, a homeless guy could try to sue cause they got a belly ache from the pizza. Make legal forms. If 7-11 can do it, why cant PH? I could not believe the amount of WASTE our entire family had to sit and watch. It was so sad. The least they could do is take it to the BACK and dump it there. Not that it makes it better. But we teach our kids not to waste and here they are dumping pizza after pizza into the trash can. While we had to wait 20 minutes for our food to come. 1 star for cleanliness. 1 star for tasty food. And 1 star for hospitality. The rest went in the trash. UPDATE: Went back earlier this time to get the buffet. Great food for a great price. The salads were fresh and crisp. The toppings were also fresh. The pizza selection was random but still tasty. The pastas were the best part. The alfredo is my favorite but the marinara was also just as good. $45 for dinner for 4 where we could eat till we popped, that's DEAL!

I have not come here for their buffet or sit down service and to be honest, I probably never will. Why sit in an outdated place when I can just take my pizza to the comfort of my own home? I get it is a buffet but honestly with the amount of food we usually order - I am satisfied enough without needing the buffet. We tried ordering online, it was such a hassle because it wouldn't accept our home address. Pain in the butt. So we ended up calling it in. Friendly service on the phone. Told us our food would be ready in 15 minutes. So we waited a bit and then headed over to pick it up. We got there about 20 minutes after our call in. We paid. She told us to keep waiting. We waited about another 20 minutes for what was suppose to be 15 minutes total! I don't mind waiting - but don't tell someone 15 minutes if it is going to be closer to 40! Pizza, wings, bread sticks though - all greasy, good and hit the spot. So I can forgive the wait - this time.

I'll admit that I was a little bummed that the buffet was over but the experience we had here was probably the best I've had in a while from any food joint. We sat down, looked over the menu, and this cute little lady came up to her to ask if we were ready, couple times I said no, only because we were side tracked on our phones not paying attention, but I guess it was okay cause it was empty anyway. The ladies name was Rosie, she was the general manager, she was awesome, she brought us napkins forks and placed them on the table with the plates in front, soon enough the food came out, when we got our pizza she put one on our plates. I've never gotten that before lol. Anyway all in all she was a really good server and I'm sure she's a good general manager, she made us feel welcomed! And I will definitely come back.

How does this place stay in business? I mean, it's Pizza Hut, so expectations were low, but come on, at least try to make an effort! The place was a mess, but not busy. Even if they had been busy, there were at least 8 front staff members walking around, but empty tables sat unbussed for over 30 minutes. We were not going to do the buffet, but a server had not come to our table after 5 mins. We were going to leave, but it's hard to reason with 5 year old who wants pizza, so we did the buffet. Nasty. What was on the line was cold and dried out, which is expected. Then the freshly baked pizza came out. When did Pizza Hut start using Bisquick to make their dough? $12 per person would have been better spent on frozen pizza. Damn you Costco for closing early on a Sunday! Last time ever.

Went in for the lunch buffet and this place was empty. The pizza was just OK and the dining area was pretty dirty. I went up to the salad bar and there were only 3 bowls and they were all dirty. Like left over food that the dishwasher didnt get off. When I brought this to their attention they took forever to bring clean plates out. The back of the booth was also sticky. Not going back.

I really like this place!! Its always quiet and empty when i come to dine in. I live in Ewa Beach but our Pizza Hut no longer has the buffet or the restraunt "feel" to it so we come to Kapolei. Its very slow paced. We were seated immediately, there was one other family in there eating. But I read the menu over twice and was ready to order and no sign of my server. So I had to walk up to the counter and let someone know that we were ready to order. Other then that, it was a pleasant visit, as was the last. I was sad that the buffet wasnt opened yet, i think the buffet hours are 5pm-8pm? not too sure on that but i still enjoyed my meal.

Sloppy management! lazy staff. the manager and staff behind the counter were eating what looked like wet lihingmui licking their fingers wiothout washing their hands!!! buffet is over used and can tell its on its last legs! ALSO, my wife ordered delivery for her work place in campbell, an hour after ordering she checked on her order and the staff informed her that her order was out for delivery, called back in 2 hours and the same response, 3 hours later and they replied that her credit card order was delivered, to whom? we'll never know?? They didn't offer any help, or satisfaction, they simply stated that we should contact our credit card company to reverse the charges. They refused to place the order over again!!! Will never buy from this place again!!! "0" stars if was available!

We will def go back again or take out pizza too!

actually no stars! there was a bug in my pizza and wen i turned it in the manager Rosy refused to let me take a pic after she said their would be no refund until after an investigation.

I was sad that the buffet wasnt opened yet, i think the buffet hours are 5pm-8pm? not too sure on that but i still enjoyed my meal.

delivery: in all my years of ordering from here, they've never been late except one time, but that's only because my neighbor stopped him in the front of my house because he thought it was his order. it's pretty crazy how convenient it is to order a pizza nowadays. every location has the same number, you can order online, through your television etc. crazy stuff the pizza: to me, this is the original pizza place. kinda how everyone feels like mcdonalds is the original fast food franchise. maybe it's because it was my first as well. but it set the standard for my taste for pizza. the dining: y'know, whenever you think of pizza you think delivery right? you never thought of walking into the pizza place to sit and eat. this place isn't bad. it's a little old and took a beating over the years, but it's not bad. they have an all you can eat buffet for pretty cheap with pizzas and pastas, wings, and even dessert pizza. right? PB&J pizza? never heard of it until i went in one day. definitely good for the kids though.

My family just dined in today and I was quite impressed with the set up. Good service, friendly cashiers like last time, and great tasting pizza. I also noticed that specials are better priced for take out, but that's understandable. Overall, this place has good value!
