Brick Oven Pizza Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

  • Donjay B.

Sad to say their pizza's are not cooked in a brick oven but rather in conventional ovens, contrary to the name of the restaurant. This was a total disappointment, as I eyed the kitchen looking for any signs of a brick oven structure. There were none and it entirely ruined my attitude and experience feeling I've been personally betrayed and lied to. Aside from the controversy of its name, their pizza's are decent and the dough seems to be fluffy. They also have a small bar area if you ever have the need to get a drink with your pizza. Waitress was friendly to converse with but lack the basic etiquette of having a consistent catering to their customers besides just taking the orders and delivering the food. This place also seems to always be busy at night during the weekends whenever I drive by.

We ordered the smoke meat with guava glaze for pupus, which was really good! Would have been even better with some poke to go along with it. Got the 'strawdiction' cocktail - overpriced for just an OK drink with a coffee stirrer as a "straw". I wouldn't order it again, but I would probably try the mojito they have on the menu. That sounded pretty good! The pizza was good and not like anything you can get anywhere else. Waitress was friendly and the wait for a table was OK for a Friday night. Lots of options on the menu for both lunch and dinner - would probably be a fun place to watch a game/sporting event.

Oh how I love their pizza. It's not greasy, they load it with topping, and you can choose what kind of crust you want. For those who prefer a healthier choice... They have wheat crust. Yay! They also have a bar and you can also watch your game there. Friendly staff is a plus too!!! It got approved by my brother (who used to drag us to the other side of the island to Round Table). But usually, when we go, we eat so much that we rarely get to dessert... So there.

My husband and I decided to do take-out since many reviews were not favorable to the dining service, and felt compelled not to be subjected to the same treatment as everyone else. Went there on a Tuesday night and most of the tables were filled. I can see why people were aggravated by the service; it looked like there was one main waitress, a hostess, and some support staff. For the size of the restaurant, I would say there should be a minimum of two during busy hours. Anyway, we placed our orders at the register, and the cashier took quite a bit of time putting our order in, and asked us repeatedly what pizzas we wanted. It's not rocket science, but taking an order for 2 pizzas from the menu isn't that complicated. Took 25 minutes for the pizza, so we left and came back. We got 2 small pizzas: ultimeat and the supreme. They were ok pizzas, but pretty expensive for each ($16.70!). For this kind of price, I expected better quality. The crust at the center of the pizza was thin, so as you picked up the slice, toppings fell off and half off the slice flopped. We could have gotten better (and bigger) pizzas from other take-out places for this kind of price. To be honest, I would not go again. P.S. They don't use a brick oven, just a regular oven.

Came here for lunch on a weekday. It wasn't too bad. I ordered caesar salad with anchovies and margherita pizza. The food was delish. The only bad part was the service. Our server gave us our salad but no utensils. I had to ask for a fork unless I was supposed to use my fingers to eat the salad. Same thing with the people sitting next to me. The pizza was good. Garlic butter on the crust. Slice of tomato and every piece and basil. Had good herbal flavor to it. I had to ask 3 times for a refill on my soda before it came. When our bill came I noticed that they charged me $2.95 extra for anchovies on my salad. When I asked why because shouldn't it be free, she replied no on the menu it says $2.95 for anchovies. I tried explaining that it was for the 12 inch pizza, which utterly confused our server. I said I can't see paying $2.95 for dried shaved anchovies, and even at that, it said 35 cents for whole anchovy not $2.95. She went to get a manager who finally adjusted my bill. I understand the staff is probably new and not experienced in food service. However, that is no excuse for not listening to the customer and not one person apologized.

Nobody was smiling and the table they sat us at was dirty and the host picked off a few crumbs and put the menu over the rest to cover it up hoping we wouldn't see it. Great food, but the waitress disappeared after the food came and didn't really stop back by till the end. If you're doing takeout, the food is great. Pricey but great. But the dine in experience is horrible.

I have apparently been to the Brick Oven Pizza on Kauai according to my husband, but I have no recollection of it. This time I will remember it for being decent pizza but not worth the cost. We got a large half veggie/half pepperoni and mushroom which cost $40!!! We were charged $20 for each half! We didn't complain because we never asked what the cost of splitting a pie would be, but I have never been charged like that for going halfsies at any other pizza place ( Especially since a large veg pizza was 32 bucks to begin with). The pizza was good and all (liked the crispy bottom crust, thick end crust, and the toppings on the veggie), the salad and cheese covered garlic bread were meh, and service was fine. But overall, definitely not good enough for the $$. In the end, we should've ordered two small pizzas - would have been 4 more slices for $10 less. I would say I will remember that for next time, but I don't think there will be a next time.

Happy hour is great. We usually sit in bartender area, the service is fast. Great happy hour. During that time it gets pretty warm. The bartender said its bc there's only 2 ac units. Faves: garlic read with cheese, clams, wings, margaritas!

Pizza was delicious and customer service was spot-on perfection. Even during a busy weekend dinner, our drinks were always full. Our kids loved playing with the balls of dough and pretending to make pizzas of their own.

I like Brick Oven. I've been a fan since I would go to the one in Kalaheo in Kauai just for the Veggie Pizza. I was happy when they opened a branch on Oahu. I finally got a chance to eat lunch here. It wasn't that busy so we got seated right away, got our drinks and placed our order. I got my usually Vegetarian Pizza. It was pretty good but I wish they had more stuff on it like mushrooms and tomatoes. Had a smattering of zucchini, a LOT of black olives (that's ok as I like black olives), and piled high with green bell peppers. That was ok too but I wish there was more variety of veggies on it. It was pricey but our server made sure our drinks were replenished in a timely manner. Put more variety of veggies on it and I'll give it four stars. Too expensive for five stars though but considering what the rent must be, I can understand.

Tonite was first time I ate there....I wanted to see what was the big buzz about it. Me and my friends ordered the large hawaiian BBQ pizza. I thought it was ok....nothing really special. I guess cuz I'm not really a fan of pineapple. We also orders a basket of garlic bread, chicken wings, and alfredo noodles. The alfredo noodles was really good for it being just plain noodles. It didnt come with anything on it like chicken or anything, but it was good. I was suprised that our bill only came out to 64 dollars including the sundae dessrt and 2 drinks. The service was no great but ok. Our waiter was busy so he hardly checked on us. :(

Received pizza soggy and wet. I threw up in the parking lot right after I walked out. Before walking out, asked for check and they took 15 minutes to get the check to me. Terrible.

My boyfriend and I went there yesterday for lunch after hiking in the morning. When we arrived the inside seating was close to full, so we asked if we could be sat outside. The host seemed unsure, but said yes and led us out. He gave us two menus and then went back inside. We ended up sitting outside for a total of 15 minutes with nobody even glancing outside. When we got up to leave, without eating or getting any service, we were ignored by the waitstaff on our way out. I have had their pizza before, which was very good order out; however we will not go back after such nonexistent service.

Went to BOP this past friday.. drove all the way from honolulu to kapolei.. got there around 8.. as expected we had to wait a bit to get a table. Once we got seated.. it took quite a while for our waiter to finally pay attention to us. .. that ruined the experience a bit.. but pizza was good.

Good as it gets, It's a nice change in Kapolei. Walked in greeted and seated immediately. Very nice and attentive staff. I have forgot what a fresh bar / restaurant Pizza tastes like its refreshing to see how fresh everything from the sauce dough to the spices were. I will recommend them in the future.

Excellent food and service. The staff is super friendly. The food came quick. The only thing we didnt like was the temperature inside. It was hot. I guess from the ovens in the open kitchen.

Pizza with fresh ingredients with a crunchy thin crust. My favorite pizza now. Sure beats Pizza Hut any day.

Awesome service! Decided to do a take-out order because my lunch break was limited. When I picked up our take out we asked if we can just sit in & they allowed us to. Even though we had take-out they still treated us as if we were dining in. Nice people, awesome & fast service. The food is great too especially their wheat crust with garlic sauce on it. Yummm!

We went the third day they were open. We had an early dinner because we knew it was going to get crowded. We were seated right away! We just LOVE Brick Oven Pizza on Kauai, and were so excited to hear they would be opening on so close to where we live. We ordered WAY too much food!! LOL We started with the cheesy garlic bread and the buffalo wings. The wings aren't very spicy, but they are still good. The bread we wont get again. They don't have a Keiki menu, so we ordered the appetizer cheese pizza (medium) and will order it small next time. It was a LOT of food for our 4 year old and 2.5 year old. When our 9 month old is sharing with her sisters it will STILL be too much food for them. It's really great, and the price is so cheap! My husband and I shared a medium house specialty pizza (I can't remember what it's called) it has EVERYTHING on it and it was SOOOO GOOD!!! The mixed drink I ordered was very weak. My husband got a beer and I should have done that or wine. The kids are given their own pizza dough to play with before their food comes. I think that's a great touch. We had a wonderful time and I can't wait to go again!

Very overpriced!! We went on a Friday night and were seated quickly. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 5,4,and 18 months. Right away I ordered drinks asking for 3 kids fruit punch. They were brought out in large size to go cups (at least) they had lids. I mentioned to the waitress that I had asked for kids drinks and she told me that was the only size they had. That would've been nice to know when I ordered them. We spent $14 just on drinks 4 soft drinks and 1 draft beer. Most of the kids drinks got thrown out because it was so much. We ordered fries as an appetizer because the baby was cranky and hungry. They were probably the best part of the meal. We chose one of their specialty pizzas. I don't remember the name off hand. Decided to just go with a small since the menu stated it was 8 slices. Our kids don't eat a lot so we figured that would be plenty. When they brought it out it was 8 slices but the pizza was the size of a personal pizza. Barely big enough to feed 2 people and it was around $20. I've had better pizza for a lot less. There is also no kids menu so we felt kind of stuck just ordering since there isn't much else on the menu that is kid friendly. Wouldn't waste my time or money going here again.

We ordered the Ultimate pizza and Italian sandwich. Very tasty pie and good crust. Sandwich was excellent and again, these guys get the point about the whole bread/pizza dough thing. Considering the rush, food was made quickly (15 min) and we didn't wait long for our walk in order. Another round for consistency and these guys get the 5star.

Excellent pizza for Hawaii especially on the west side. Prices aren't that bad as the pizza is covered in toppings and pretty filling. Appetizers were good and the kids liked the cheese and bacon pupu pizza as an entree. The service was quick even though the place was getting busy. The waitress checked on us several times and made sure our drinks were kept full. Good place to stop on our way back from the beach or the waterpark like we did today. Only issue I had was the fries could have been crispier but they were well seasoned and everyone enjoyed them.

  • Arlette D.

The pizza was delicious!!! A bit pricy for the size but delicious either way!!! The cry puts was so crispy! Now, the pasta was another story, that was a big disappointment... We drove all the way from town to try it out I was excited about the pizza and spaghetti... Spaghetti was a let down, I ordered a cream sauce for there and a meat to go... Both the noodles were over cooked and the sauce had no flavor, both kind of reminded me of chef boyardee... But I will go back for pizza only next time...

so... a friend and i was going to eat at the cupcake place across the street until we saw the sign and decided... pizza sounds scrumptious right now... it didnt look like it from the outside but as soon as we opened the door the place was flooded with ppl... super busy.. May i point out... SHAME ON THEM!... for naming the place brick oven pizza when they clearly make the pizza in regular ovens lol sneaky squirrels... anyway, it did not take long for us to get a table (we sat out in the patio which was nice, lovely breeze, sunset background and a great view of the bus stop... lol) we shared a large salad... which tasted like how a salad should -_- and a large pizza with mushrooms, spinach, sausage, bell peppers and more mushrooms. the pizza itself was good, it wasnt dripping with oil, was not sloppy and murdered with cheese, it was very light and crisp.. the mushrooms however must have been mixed and cooked with some type of herb bcuz a friend of mine just didnt like the way it tasted.. (she said it was too herby) so... she picked hers off and put it on mine haha problem solved. .... they also got 4 stars instead of 5 because our umbrella didnt come with cool lights like the other umbrellas..... lol jk :D Boom-

I have been here twice. The pizza is ono and the garlic cheese bread is yummy! The first time was in the winter of 2011 and the service was really terrible. I went here again recently in Oct 2012 and we had the BEST service! I am so happy that they have a great waitstaff now! The kitchen accidently made the wrong pizza, but our server was honest and offered the wrong pizza to us anyway while the kitchen worked on our correct order. She was sincere and totally sweet! She checked on us frequently, we never went thirsty, and gave excellent service! This is a great place to go for pizza! There is also a full bar there too!

The reason for a 2 star rating is due to poor customer service. My husband was told we could bring our own bottle of wine with a $6 corkage fee. We enjoyed the pizza and our wine but service was not there. Upon receiving our bill our waitress said that she made a mistake on the corkage fee, it's now $10. It's a $4 difference but the way management went about it was unprofessional. She could have told us that there was a misunderstanding and next time the correct fee will apply. It's the principal to running an establishment and making customers wanting to come back. To say the least we have not returned. It's great to have a local restaurant and love to support, but step it up on customer service.

love their pizza and salad options. I think they are a little pricey but worth it. Eat here every other month. If they had coupons or special deals, would definitely eat here ALOT more often. Noticed alot of people and families from Aulani come here and in the area in general because of the cost of food and other things at Aulani can be overpriced.

My family & I came here on Sunday in the later afternoon. I rate this establishment a 1-star and really thought if this was harsh but as you follow along with this review you will understand why I did. I asked to talk to the owner and she came to our table. The owner's demure look was unwelcoming as if she already had her guards up. Great job on her customer service skills. All I wanted to is to recommend a baby changing station because if it isn't me who tells her that someone else had to lay several paper towels on the floor and blanket just so their can change a diaper who knows what might've happen. Additionally, the SERVICE really need some major work. I suppose it was just a reflection from their boss. They came to check up on us right before we were done with our food and our glasses were already empty. Niice. When getting the bill, the waitress overcharged us by nearly $7 dollars with that said I was so disappointed with everything. I was already exhausted with this place. I just paid the bill and left no tip. Don't get me wrong. I tip accordingly to the service I received and have never left nothing at the table but this was unacceptable. Needless to add, I will not be taking my family out here again. *All together this has to be the worst family dining experience I ever experienced.

The service was horrible. The hostess spent 30 minutes walking around talking story, bussing tables and basically not doing her job. There were 4 open tables able to seat 4 and she left them open. There was how many people able to sit and she kept them empty. I had to tell her how to do her job. In What world does the customer tell a hostess how to do their job? Horrible horrible service. Never going there ever again

I would of given you 10 stars! Hostess was horrible! All around I don't give a flip attitude! The food was amazing, my kids enjoyed the pizza tossing we saw the pizza maker doing. The waitresses were attentive and very helpful! The restuarant was very clean and put together. I will come again, but do all of us a favor and tell the hostess to have a liitle more pep in her step. IMO, the hostess has the most important job! You should get someone in front with amazing people skills!...that's only if you ask me:)

Out of all the pizza places in Kapolei, I come to this one as the ambiance is inviting and it serves alcohol. I usually come with family and order their super pizza, a salad, and their aloha pie/cake for dessert. They have been open for a while now and the waiters / waitresses are more seasoned. No complaints here other than maybe have a discount or something for regulars? Aloha!

It's definitely not the best pizza on the island... and expensive to boot. Bostons is across the street and so much better. Just doesn't live up to the hype. Service was sort of bad, but we went when it first opened so maybe it got better.

It's about time. This pizza joint was a reason to fly to Kauai and I am so thankful they opened a restaurant on Oahu. I think they have the best vegetarian pizza; rivaling Round Table. The hook is in the crust. It's thin, crispy, and moist which is near impossible to create, yet Brick Oven pulled it off. Each table has an elevated mount to sit the pizza on which helps to create more table space. The condiments go under the pizza mount so everyone surrounding the pizza has access. Genius!

I had lunch with my friend at Brick Oven Pizza. I have to say, the pizza was amazing. Our server was attentive and anticipating our needs, but was a little slow with our orders and when it came to our check. The prices are great, and the Caesar salad is a must!

I was waiting in anticipation for Brick Oven Pizza to open, as I am a pizza lover. I thought this would be a refreshing alternative to Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Boston's. I've heard good reviews about the Brick Oven in Kauai. Brick Oven Pizza in Kapolei did not disappoint. My first eating experience there was a great one. My six year old son, who is a picky eater, and I started with the garlic cheese bread, and yum! It was heaven in our tummies. The bread was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with the right amount of garlic, butter, and gooey mozzarella cheese. While we waited for our pizza, our waitress, who was super helpful and friendly, gave my son a piece of dough so he could create a masterpiece (at the same time saving him from boredom). We ordered a small homemade Italian sausage pizza on whole wheat crust. I'm not a crust eater, but I ate every bite. The crust was delicious! It was brushed lightly with garlic and butter. By the end of dinner, my son and I were stuffed. My picky eater son asked if we could go there for dinner again... That's when I knew this place is a winner. I'll be back to try one of their dessert pizzas, so stay tuned for another review. Verdict: for great service and great bread and pizza... 4 stars!

hmmmm, it's called brick oven pizza but i don't think they even use a brick oven. minus points. we ordered the bay shrimp and garlic pizza. the pizza was ok, nothing that really blew me away flavor wise. can't really taste the garlic or the garlic butter brushed on the crust. jj dolans BLOWS this place out of the water.

Good place for a family pizza dinner. The pizza was excellent as we had the ultimate meat and a custom artichoke and mushroom. The dining room was very roomy and I enjoyed watching the NBA playoffs on their many big screens. They also serve blue moon on draft!!!!! Good place for a beer in Kapolei.

We like the pizza here, especially the whole wheat crust, which is chewier. It has been crowded the two nights we've been there, but that happens at all good restaurants. If the place is empty, that's usually not a good sign. Even with the crowds, the service has always been very good for us. We'lll be back for sure.

    1. There is no brick oven. 2. Service was terrible. 3. I paid $45 for two 12" mediocre pizzas. At Pizza Hut I can get two large 14" pizzas with a literacy card for $27. Pizza Hut tastes better, more flavor on their meatsa. 4. Previous reviews say they were understaffed. When I was there they were overstaffed but people were working very inefficiently, or rather wandering inefficiently. I saw them put what I suspected was my pizza out but they didn't call my name, so I waited 30 minutes. I finally went up and asked them when mine would be done and saw the one I suspected was it. The cashier said she was busy. There were at least 5 waiters/waitresses wandering around doing things like straightening the table arrangements, but not checking on orders. Any one of them could have brought my order out but none of them realized that was their job. Maybe experience will help. 5. As I was walking to the restaurant I overheard some customers leaving saying it was a terribly expensive place with terrible service and WAY OVERPRICED. But, I had to see for myself. Now that I have, I totally concur. My recommendation is to try any place but here. Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Safeway frozen pizza is better than this place. I hope they shut down within 6 months so they don't waste the retail space for something worthwhile. My suggestion to the owners is to watch some of the food network shows to get some ideas and do something great. Mediocrity will get you nowhere. Looking at those food network shows you can see some really great ideas, but I never see things like those in Hawaii. Why not? Somebody, as soon as Brick Oven Pizza closes down due to their mediocrity, move in and make a great pizza place. Make it world class. Don't follow what everyone else has done and be mediocre. Do for pizza what Steve Jobs did for the digital age. I'll be one of the first in line.

Service was good, pizza was great. It's really the only place to get decent pizza around. (I'm not too big a fan of Boston's) The fact that they are a bar gives this place an extra star. Decent happy hour prices on wings too! Best wings i've had on island outside of Dirty Likens in Aiea and Buffalo Wild Wings.

This incarnation of Brick Oven Pizza from Kauai is one of the best on the island if not THE best. It is the way pizza should be. Crust and topping and sauce is like the original and pair it with a VERY reasonably priced bottle of wine and the super friendly service make it an excellent family restaurant and worth the money though moderately priced.

Good pizza Great crust but was a little disappointed they didn't cook in brick ovens. My girls loved the hunks of pizza dough the waitress brought out for them to play with. Would definitely go back.

Brought my family here for the first time tonight. We had to wait about 20 mins to be seated at the bar with our 13 and 12 year olds. Not where we wanted to sit but I guess it was acceptable. We ordered small 'super' whole wheat crust pizza, a large salad (not very large) and one order of hot wings. Service was above average, everyone friendly which is a plus in my book. Now on to the important thing....the food. Overall a bit overpriced for both quality and quantity. Small pizza should not be $17 in my book. $7 for 7 wings and $7.50 for that not so large salad. Beer was good price: $6 for 22oz Heineken. Pizza tasted great but I don't care how tasty a pizza is, if all the toppings fall off every time I pick a slice up, then I'll pass. It was like the crust and the toppings were two separate items and didn't meld at all. Not sure if the regular dough is the same. Wings and salad tasted fine. While we were sitting at bar, we had an excellent view of the kitchen. Seemed orderly and no craziness of 'Hell's Kitchen'. But isn't this place called Brick Oven Pizza??? Where's the brick oven. Hint: there isn't one. Unacceptable if you ask me and if you're reading this, I'll assume you are. At one point someone ordered spaghetti. It looked great in the holding area and I was surprised that after the two plates went out to the customers, they were quickly returned barely touched. Seems that the sauce was cold cause the cook was frantically checkin the sauce warmer pot with his hands as if he had built in thermometers. Then they poured the sauce in a pot and quickly reheated the sauce and sent it out again. My question is; how long was that sauce sitting there at room temperature? May or may not be back. Might want to check out the regular crust since the pizza did taste good.

I've been here twice now, and I think that's one too many. Pizza is just ok, not a fan of their generic crust. Second time I went, I only had drinks, wow didn't think you could mess that up. The mojito, margarita, and my friends pina colada were horrible!!! Never in my life have I had a bland tasting mojito or margarita...don't know what it is, but definitely not worth it.

Finally a taste of home I can count on... I must say this was a surprise, not the best I have had but some of the best Pie I have had west of Vegas, certainly in the top 10! This place is always packed which is a good sign and they have a unique crust, but it just works. I usually get the Sausage Pepperoni & Jalopeno with a buttered white crust, crust is not quite NY style but it holds its own, thin, crispy and just plain good, the wings are also good as they cook em nice and crispy which I like. When ever I want a decent Pie this place always delivers. The service is great even when packed and the few times we go they always remember us. Happy Hour specials are good, but non happy hour prices are not bad. The have a full bar and that makes me wish I lived closer... Not the best I've had, but the best I've had on the rock!

First of all they don't have a brick oven. Other than that the chicken wings were okay. Cheese bread was good and the pizza wasn't to shabby. I will be back.

The wife and I were running around in Kapolei and saw this place tucked away in a little strip mall so we decided to stop for lunch. It was around 1 in the afternoon so the place was full but we got a seat right away. With all the families in there it makes it a little loud but not too loud you couldn't have a conversation. The food was great! We ordered a basket of garlic bread with mozzarella. It was very good. The only issue I had was that it was delivered at the same time as our pizza even though it was an appetizer. For pizza we shared a medium pepperoni with 1/2 mushrooms, 1/2 bacon. Probably the best pizza we've had in a long time. You definitely get you money's worth with toppings, it was LOADED down. And the gralic butter on the crust was outstanding. My only problem was the service. While the staff was very friendly it was a little slow. After we got seated it was a wait before the waiter came over to take our drink order. Other than that he was very attentive. Loved this place and will definitely go back!

Food is great however the wait help needs to et a system in place. We ordered a couple of sandwiches, a small pizza and a spaghetti with meatballs. We all received our food with the exception of our 10-year old who waited 20-minutes for her spaghetti. Our waitress to us that someone took the order from the counter and gave it to another customer. She then came back to tell us that we would have the spaghetti in 2 minutes which turned out to be 15-minutes later. We were all done eating and boxed our leftovers when our daughter got her spaghetti. Ridiculous. We were ignored each time we called our waitress only to be given an excuse again. It's too bad that they don't have system in place to ensure the orders aren't mixed up. The food is great and the menu has a nice variety of pizzas and sandwiches but seriously, you need to get it together, especially being as just as you are!

Used to live on Kauai so we had to try it out here... Love the garlic bread, pizza was good , service was pretty good. Would make a return trip back!

My family and I tried this place out today after riding our bikes from Ewa to Kapolei. We were seated and promptly waited on. And then we began waiting. We were sitting there for quite some time, and at about the time I started to wonder where our food was, our very friendly server came over to tell us that our order was somehow deleted from the computer system. She apologized profusely and said the manager decided to give us our meal free of charge. Wow! They put a rush on our order and when our food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The wings were delicious, and not covered in breading. My husband and the kids really liked the pizza bread, and my roast beef sandwich w/ au jus was very good as well. Overall a very good experience. The staff turned a negative into a positive, and we'll definitely go back!

Terrible. Crust tasted like cardboard and was soggy. We had the Margarita pizza and the basil had no taste. Might have been dried basil or old. We ordered chocolate cake and they took out a box of frozen Sara Lee cake and gave us a frozen piece. It was bad. Not sure about service as we ordered ours to go but the pizza and cake were some of the worst I have ever had.

It was alright. Not really going to be on my list of restaurants to go back to. The Alfredo was so-so and the pizza was ok. The garlic bread was pretty good. The service was a little bad. It's a decent place to go. But not worth $20. A cool thing was that they had pizza dough for the kids to play with.

Nice place, new & clean. The pizza really is the best thing on the menu, stick to that and you'll be fine. The sandwiches are overpriced and mediocre. The pasta was bad. Salad was just OK. I went a few times for work and with coworkers, so we ordered almost everything of the menu so far. All I know is it's a pizza joint, so I'm only ordering pizza from now on. They do a good job, even if it is pricey. If you want cheap, go to Costco.

This place is good friendly staff, nice decor, family atmosphere & there's a full bar! Order the mozzarella garlic bread it's to die for. You get to order what ever kind of pizza you like and the brick oven special is the bomb.

Good place, casual and good for kids. We had a supreme type pizza, margerita pizza, hot wings, salads and mud pies. Everything was good. I would go again if I'm in the area

Had lunch here today, service was very good, friendly waitresses. The set up is nice but a bit noisy for lunch discussion. Had the vegetarian pizza, excellent, good clam chowder, a decent salad and a good aloha pie. It was a good experience, price was average for what we pay here in Hawaii. I would definitely like to come back with our young adult kids. Good to have a nice place to enjoy a meal and a few drinks after work.

I was excited to try a new and different pizza restaurant in Kapolei and I did read the reviews, so going in.. I knew to expect the service to be mediocre at best. What I did not expect is that the service would be awful!! We did go on a Saturday night, but went early enough to avoid the dinner crowd. We were seated right away and given menus. The waitress kept saying she would be right with us and finally she did come. She took our drink orders and we went ahead and ordered the entrees since she took forever. Anyway, my husband was able to meet us there, so about 10 minutes after taking our order, he placed an order and ordered a beer. Another 15 minutes passed before I realized he hadn't even gotten a beer. I then asked the hostess, (the waitress never seemed to check on us!) and she immediately got his drink. The waitress did come to bring out my sandwich and my daughters pupu pizza. I just assumed my son's small pizza was coming along with the sandwich my husband ordered. Well, I assumed WRONG. Again, the hostess came and asked if we were doing ok, and I told her we were still waiting for my sons pizza and my husbands sandwich. She said she would go check on it and she did. Come to find out (after almost 1hr 15 min of arriving), that she never put in the order for my son's pizza! Seriously, what did she think he was going to eat? I then still wanted the pizza as we were still waiting for my husbands sandwich. Now, the waitress NEVER returned to our table after bringing the original food.... not to apologize, check on us, NOTHING! If you are seated at Janelle's table - please ask to be moved. So, here we are, plates taken away, and just us and drinks. A manager came over to ask if our order had been taken and I nearly blew my stack! I then explained to her what our situation was and she was so helpful and kept apologizing. She did explain that there was a new batch of waitresses and that they are weeding them out. Finally, almost 2 hours after we arrived - my poor son got his pizza (TO GO!), along with the sandwich for my husband! I will have to say the food was wonderful! Because the sweet manager was nice enough to comp our entire meal, I will return. I will not be going on a Saturday evening anytime soon. My kids loved the food and the atmosphere and looks like with the right waitresses - this could be a huge success!

The pizza is pretty good. But once again the service has completely ruined a meal for me. The good things about the place are that the beer selections are good and the food is also pretty good. The bad is that the service is lacking and inexperienced. My one of my children's orders was forgotten and the situation was not handled well. Rather than making up an excuse or saying that the food will be right out, the waitress should have told us she forgot to enter the order, she was sorry, the food would be out in 10 minutes and here is some extra bread or some combination of the above. Since the the food is good and this is the only non-chain pizza places on Oahu I would probably give this place a second chance.

We had the vegetarian, and usually i can put away 4-5 slices easy, but i couldn't do it. I think it's because they LOAD up on the toppings! With all the toppings (crunchy good), the sauce was still oozing out. Very tasty! Family friendly environment with cute red checkered tablecloths. Next time i'd like to try their Margherita pizza.

Don't get me wrong the 2 stars, the pizza was good, and the service was standard for what you would expect. But the price is what kills it for me. I just feel that theres an influx of places with jacked up prices and average food. Wouldnt you want to be known as that place with good food and good prices. Im not saying they should sacrifice profit to win customers but i think the prices could use some adjusting. For now it's all Big Kahuna's for me.

My wife and I split a small pizza and a Caesar salad and our kids had the spaghetti - we all enjoyed our food and the service was good. It's nice to have a pizza place with red and white table cloths in Kapolei. Will definitely come again!

I've heard about this place (since it opened here in Kapolei a while ago), that it was a great pizza place (from Kauai). I had to check it out, which I did. I had lunch there today with a few friends and we ordered a basket of BBQ wings, Small Pupu Pizza (for the kids), and medium Super Pizza. I have to say, I was very pleased. Although a bit pricey for my taste on pizza. The food was awesome and the server was great. I would come back again for lunch.

Good Pizza, full bar! Fast! The place was jammin' plenty of help to serve! We had 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 Ultimeat and it was pretty good! I went to the one in Kauai a few years back...

Went here based on all you yelpers with great reviews. First off, it is not brick oven. The service is not all that great, didn't get my drink refilled once, didn't box up my food and I noticed all the other tables were getting that done and the atmosphere is HELLA loud! Didn't mind the noise so much because I expected it being a pizzeria but man was it loud! If you don't like noise definatley sit outside. It was extremely expensive for pizza! Our meal for two came out to $60 bucks. If you do a half n half pizza you actually pay two separate prices like your ordering two pizzas! The ceaser salad was not all that bad but not all that either, just mediocre. That garlic bread with cheese on it was good and had a lot of cheese on it but basically tasted like the cheese bread in a bag you stick in the oven at home with just a little more cheese. Now on too the pizza, I paid almost $40 bucks for a damn pizza and it came out wet and soggy! Ordered a margherite pizza and all my toppings fell off and the crust was all wet....GROOOOSSSSS! When I told the waitress she just looked at me with is dumb face like what do you want me to do about it. Very young, inexperienced waitress that obviously was new to the waiting world. In all it was a total disappointment. Once again I was dunced by my fellow yelpers. Totally not impressed, will never spend my hard earned money here ever again! Oh and if your not a Crust lover, do not go here. A quarter of your pizza is crust, and there pizza is also thin but the crust is thick and crunchy. I like crust, but not that much crust!

Good service, and fast we arrived ordered drinks and wings served in less then 8 minutes. Pizza with a thin crispy crust served while still munching the wings. They might want think about tinting the west window as it gets hot with the sunsetting.they opened the door to help cool the room. Will we return yes, is it cheap, no but to find a great pizza close to your house, priceless.

Service was horrible.... we waited for 20 min to order. But before we ordered we asked another waitress to take our order she said your server is right over there ill tell her but she never did. We had to get up, get the waitress and then order. Food was great. But then again we waited again for our check. Would not eat here again, but would probably call in for take out.

Nothing like the Brick Oven in Kauai. We ordered to go and the customer service was honestly terrible until we went to the bar to wait for our pizza. The bartender was super friendly and really saved the entire experience for us. The pizza was just average, not bad by any means but not anything to rave about.

I heard about the new pizza place in Kapolei and was excited about trying them as take out to watch football. It was a disappointment! The crust was rock hard, and the toppings were tasteless. We ordered one white and one wheat, and the girl who took our order asked if we wanted garlic butter. I said yes, but I couldn't taste any of it. There were a lot of toppings, but for some reason, I could barely taste anything. Boston End Pizza is still tops for me.

Not as good as the one on Kauai. Service was a little in attentive. We got there pretty late on Saturday night. The restaurant was a little full, but not what I would call extremely busy or "packed". The Hostess took a while to greet us. I don't know where she was at first - but she wasn't at her post. She barely cracked a smile when she finally did greet us. Even though there were only TWO of us standing there, and my Best Friend clearly said "Table for TWO" - she asked us "Three?" Um, WHAT?! She then looked confused. And even though there were a couple of empty tables sitting there - she told us she needed to clean a table for us. She waited a little bit for a group of four to leave their table. And then she sat us. It then took about 10 minutes before our waitress approached us to take our DRINK ORDERS. That really kinda annoyed me. I don't mind so much if they take a while to take our food order. But I usually like to be asked about my beverage of choice within a few minutes of being seated. When she brought our drinks, she promptly disappeared before I could even ask her for a straw. She was nowhere to be found for several minutes. We ordered a small Ultimeat Pizza to share, as well as the salad with veggies. The pizza was not as ono as I remember. The salad was "okay". Portuguese bean soup was "eh". It was not horrible by any means. But I hold the Kauai establishment in such high regard. That being said, I would give Kapolei Brick Oven Pizza another shot. ;) I chalk it up to being extra grouchy from being STARVED and walking in mud all day at the WARRIOR DASH that Saturday. LOL

Nothing like real brick oven pizza. I've had REAL brick oven pizza many times in NYC and this doesn't even come close. I find that Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are better pizza and cheaper. I wouldn't waste my time going back here. There's NOTHING that says "brick oven pizza" about it... even the crust was suspect. Actually, I'm a bit offended that this place even calls itself "Brick Oven Pizza". Honestly, if they just changed the name to something other than Brick Oven Pizza, I'd be a little gentler with this review. "Kapolei Pizza Joint", or "West Side Pizzeria" would be cool.

Pizza was good, but not $30 for a 15" good. Maybe I got a bad one, but the crust was slightly overdone as well and left a burnt taste in my mouth. It was also incredibly loud inside. I could barely hear my wife just across the table. Can't rate the other food, but probably won't go back to try it. Seems very popular though as there was quite a crowd so maybe my experience wasn't the norm.

I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and my hubby ordered a pizza. Why in the world would they bring my spaghetti out 15 min before the pizza. I guess they wanted him to stare at me while I ate then I could stare at him while he ate since I was about done before he got his pizza. My dish was mediocre at best. My hubby loved his pizza. I'm sure I will have to go back since my husband likes the pizza. Bottom line is, ask for the food to come out at the same time. Duh!

The food here is good when compared to what's available in the area. You can have far better if you drive into town. The wait staff has problems though. Had to ask for plates, silverware, and napkins at the front desk because our waitress was not remotely attentive. I never received the glass of water I asked for when we were seated. I even saw one table get up and leave. They were here before we came in and actually left (we had been served) because their waiter never took their order. I felt the food came out after about 25 minutes. The bill total was $40 for one medium pizza, one order of wings, and a 22oz bud light on tap. I have to say that is very pricey for the amount of food we got in addition to the horrible service. Big changes will be needed to the staff and price for this place to stand a chance of lasting. I probably will not go back. Also, there were quite a few kids there so it is a family dining environment.

So they are new and maybe the kinks are not all worked out so we waited about 45 minutes for the pizza to come but with the amount of take orders seen during our visit and the packed house I'd say that it was to be expected. The staff were very apologetic and rushed our pizza after they were aware of an error in the computer. Overall I'd say that the ambiance, decor, and scenery of the place is great. We ordered the Brick Oven "Super" Large at $31.75. The pizza tastes awesome with a thin type of crust that becomes soggy after about ten minutes though and they have anchovies. The sauce is sweeter than most and the toppings generous. Overall I liked it and would go again. Nice change of pace for pizza other than Pizza Hut and Costco but with a gourmet specialty price though.

So a friend, and I decided to try something other than chilis. We should have just went to chilis. We came in and were immediately seated. The table had crumbs and was dirty. It was only 11am and three other tables were seated, so as I looked around I noticed other tables were dirty as if no one had wiped them. The waitress was friendly and attentive, so that wasn't an issue. We decided on the wings and small super. The wings you could tell were the standard frozen wings with franks buffalo sauce. They weren't even dunked in sauce, it was more like a drizzle. And for some odd reason they put lettuce under them. Kinda distracting picking lettuce off my wings, but I'll keep it moving. The pizza came out, and when they say small they really mean small. It looked good, and smelled great, so you ask why the two stars? Yeah, the taste, left so much to be desired. I couldn't put my finger on it, but my friend quickly pointed out it was the cheese. It wasn't a pure mozzarella. Sorry, some may like that but me personally made it taste off. That to be honest ruined the whole pizza. Oh, and the name is very misleading. There is no brick oven. Well, I guess I'll keep searching.

I was excited to try the new Brick Oven Pizza in Kapolei when I heard it was opening. I have been to the Brick Oven Pizza on Kauai and thought it was pretty good. I read the reviews on Yelp before going in, and although there were some negative reviews in regards to the service I still wanted to try the place. I figured it was still new and maybe they were still working out the service kinks. We went to Brick Oven on the weekend, but it was during the afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. For 2 of us, we did have to wait maybe 10 minutes. There is a tiny bar located by the entrance, and there are 5 seats. While you are waiting to be seated there is nowhere to sit and wait. The area is cramped by the door. Some people waiting ahead of us, or getting "to-go" orders were taking up the bar stools. I think that maybe they should at least put benches outside for people to wait at. We were looking around to see if there could have been a better set up. There is another door, which is further away from the bar, and would possibly have more waiting room, but they set up two trees blocking this door/exit (*Definitely a hazard). I wanted to tell them "You can't have trees blocking your exit!", apparently they haven't had a fire inspection yet. We waited a long time for our order. Our waitress stopped by to take our order, and that was about it. We had to stop her to ask her for more water which never came. We ordered a pizza and it was good. This was the worst part... as we are eating we ran out of water to drink and we asked the waitress for a refill and she never refilled our glasses... but we kept dining. A female busser comes up to our table with her wet, dirty bucket and sets the bucket down on the table right next to our pizza AS WERE EATING!! She asks if we are done, and we said no. I'm assuming she thought we're done because our glasses were empty. I have a slice of pizza on my plate and she reaches over to me and grabs my plate with her dirty hands. I told her "I'm not done!!" She said "Oh, you're not done?" I was pretty grossed out because her bucket was filthy and she set it down right next to our food. The manager was walking around as well, so I don't know why he didn't tell her to not buss tables with people still at them! We had to flag down our waitress to get the bill. She finally brought it and I put my card in right away. She worked tables next to us about 4 times, and I was trying to give it to her but she pretty much ignored us the whole time anyways. Finally, the manager took the billfold, and returned it. He didn't say one word to us. Normally, managers make small talk "How was it? etc." Nothing. I did not want to tip them at all. The service was terrible. I know it's a new place, but its not that difficult to bring a pizza/ drinks out. It's not like we ordered a bunch of different entrees. It was one pizza c'mon!! I probably would not be coming here again. If I do decide to order a pizza from here it will definitely be take out.

This has so far been the best pizza I've had on island. Coming in, we waited as three servers passed us without acknowledgement. Finally, a server came over to take our name down, just as the hostess showed up. (who by the way looked like she didn't want to be there & had no clue what she was doing) We were given no quote time for our wait, so I assumed atleast half an hour because of how many parties were already there waiting. I did notice after that when the hostess was actually standing there, she was telling everyone it would be over an hour. As another party came in and a server greeted them, she told them no more than half an hour. So maybe get a little organization on quote times? At least four parties left because of the "over an hour" quote time. We waited about 35 minutes until we were sat. We ordered beers while waiting, which was nice. However, the bar & waiting area are very crammed-limited space. Once sat, our server came over and all she said was do you want more beer. Once she brought us a pitcher, she asked if we were ready. I told her we needed a few more minutes & she rolled her eyes at me. I guess they don't like their jobs there? or maybe she just didn't want a tip. We ended up ordering a medium Brick Oven's "Super" Pizza which was delicious! For the size, it was way too expensive but at least it tasted really good. Once I tasted the pizza, I told my husband if we decided to eat here again, we would order take-out because of the service. A moment later we saw the hostess stocking to-go boxes and put them on the kitchen floor while she arranged them, instead of the shelf above it (which was waist high). So that's pretty disgusting. I know it's the outside of the box, but still. The waiter's will touch that and not know they have just put there hands on something dirty. So maybe we'll be back. If so, we'll probably try to sit at the bar. Maybe it'll be decent service.

As far as the meal is concerned, very good. Been there twice and twice I had the clam chowder. Both times it was delicious! Had teriyaki wings were delicious as well. The garlic bread was sub-par and we did not eat but one piece collectively(three people). Did not have nearly the content of butter you would expect and the garlic tasted like it was the powdered version. Well, something that simple was extremely disappointing. The pizza is by far the best one I have had in Oahu. However, I, like other reviewers, did not see a BRICK OVEN. That is a huge disappointment and it is one of two reasons I will not return. The first time we went was in the afternoon and had no problem with service. There were only three other tables occupied at that time(between 2PM and 3PM). This last time, however, was in the evening, and boy! It seemed like amateur night. We were seated promptly by a young lady who didn't seem too excited to be there. We asked for butter and it took them over five minutes to bring it. The young lady who was instructed to get it for us(which was the same young lady who sat us) found it more important to hold a two minute conversation with her co-worker first. We asked for a box for our left over pizza and over five minutes later another waiter realized we were not getting something we were expecting and asked again if we needed anything. So we asked for a box and THE CHECK, of all things, a second time. Fourteen minutes elapsed from the time we requested the box and the check the first time until we left the restaurant. Huge disappointment. Just looking around you can clearly see the service personnel have no direction. a few of them seem to want to help and be more efficient, but if the person with the black shirt is the person in charge, service is and will be in a sad state. This is the second reason I will not return. Felt more like a busy McDonald's than a neighborhood restaurant. One other note: You can see people eating from where the urinal is at. Be a good idea to put something besides the plants that cover nothing.

My take on BO Pizza can't reflect the in-house experience. The other reviews do the talking in that department. In fact, I can't speak for any other menu items other than the Deluxe Pizza, which to me should always be the "flagship" of any pizza joint. We ordered two for take out, one with anchovies and the other without. My beef, toppings were fresh but not overly generous but there wasn't enough sauce on the pizza to bind the flavors. Dry and disappointing was our reaction after the first bite. The kicker is that we paid over $30 buhs for each. And so, our quest for the Holy Grail Pizza on Oahu continues. For now, Boston's will have to do. They do a much better job in the flavor, freshness, crust, and topping department although occasionally the center of the large pizza is not done. Who would have thought that at $28 buhs a pizza, I would be rating Boston's as the better deal!!!??

Their food was ok for the price but there is always a really Long wait for the food. I ordered take out and was given an estimated time of 20 minutes. Got there and waited an extra 20 minutes for them to actually cook my food. What's the point of take out if you have to wait for them to cook it when you show up? Grrrrr!

Not long after being seated, we got a tray of something. The waitress didnt even say what is was. Luckily i was reading reviews on yelp saying that they give dough to kids to play w/. Geez if it wasnt for that, i would've took a bite LOL. Overall, the pizza and chicken wings were good. Service was always there to check up on us. The reason for 3 stars is that there wasnt a brick oven and a/c wasnt even on.

I don't believe how many positive reviews there are about this place. My friend and I decided on a whim to try it out and we both left feeling underwhelmed. We were seated immediately and got our menus promptly, but our eyes couldn't believe the prices for the medium and large pizzas. Well, we were aware of the prices as we previewed the menu online, but when we saw how big the pies were in-person, we didn't think that the prices were at all justified. How can this restaurant get away with charging near thirty dollars for their large pizza? So my friend and I decided to split a medium "super" pizza because it was a better "value" and some wings. The wings weren't anything special. At one point, I was wondering if they just bought the frozen stuff from Costco and dipped them in some kind of spicy sauce. The pizza was average at best. It didn't taste like anything unique or special. The cheese and toppings were all falling off when we ate it. It's a sure bet that I won't be going out of my way to ever visit this establishment again, and even if I am in the Kapolei area, there are a ton of better alternatives to spend my money at to satisfy a craving.

This place is cute on a corner in the early evening for dinner. Problem #1: Service from employees could use a few remedial classes (Common sense, not so common). Is it really that hard to seat people and hold waiting guests in a organized non farm manner? Is it really that hard to express gratitude to customers who chose to spend their $$$ at your pizza joint? Which brings me to the next question- Is it really that hard to run a pizza joint? Most 5 year olds would be happier to be surrounded by pizza all day long. Problem #2: The bano not so bueno. Filthy, and you get a nice HELLO!! from dining guests as the entrance/exit door to your toilet is voiiila!! right there in front of dining guests. No, sir, the little green plants doesn't provide privacy. Genius! Food: Margherita pizza with the twisty garlic bread crust- Excellent! Caesars salad w chix- Excellent! maybe ease up on the chovies tho. Chef salad- Excellent! Wine/beer: meh! ahh! same old stuff. Ice cold water with lemon: Quenching. Haven't been back since this first visit. All I imagine is eating delicious pizza and then clenching my legs to avoid potty breaks. Pace yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eat and do baby sips here and there just enough to wet the whistle and prevent choking.

Having been to Brick Oven Pizza in Kalaheo (Kaua'i), we were excited to try the new location at The Crossroads. Would the food be as good? Would the service be better? Would the prices be as high? The answer to all three questions was a resounding "YES"! Brick Oven Pizza's newest store offers fresh, tasty food at premium prices. Our pizza was good, with a cruncy and delicious whole wheat crust. There were plenty of toppings to choose from as well as specialty pizzas. The garden salad was just okay. The hot wings were truly memorable, however, with crispy skin and yummy buffalo sauce and tangy homemade ranch dressing--finger lickin' good fo' sho'! Also on the bright side, our food was delivered promptly and our server was cheerfully attentive throughout our meal. Our only real complaints were the overly refrigerated dining room and high prices (we spent about $50 on dinner for two despite splitting the appetizer and salad). Brick Oven Pizza is small, so consider take-out or dine-in during off-peak hours. The restaurant is located at The Crossroads at Kapolei on Kamokila Blvd and 'Alohikea (near Organized Living and the Chun Wah Kam Noodle Factory). Hours are 11 am to 9 pm daily. Sat us at a dirty table. Food is expensive but good. Don't get the seafood pizza bread. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT!

I have been to Brick Oven Pizza twice. The first time was fabulous! The pizza is excellent. I love the garlic bread and enjoyed my side salad. The second time my family opted for pays and sandwiches. The noodles were way over cooked. The sauce was just OK. The sandwich was also a disappointment. The food also did not come out at the same time on either visit. About 10 from one entree to the last! Stick with ordering pizza!

House salad, oysters in the half shell, 2 pizza breads, 1 with ham pineapple and jalapeños, the other with bacon mushrooms and olives. Everything was great. Washed it down with a glass of white burgundy. Server was nice and checked back often.

First star - For having the option of wheat crust. Second star - For an actually good tasting pizza. The cheese was yummy. And you can even enjoy the crust because it is brushed with butter. Third star - For location. I'm glad that it is not in town. Sheesh. If I want to eat at a decent restaurant I have to drive pretty far to enjoy a good meal. Thank you for building it in Kapolei! Minus a star - For service. A lot of their wait staff seriously needs some customer service 101 classes. I had to put my empty glass on the edge of the table before they finally realized I needed a refill. Minus another star - For price. Ok, so the pizza was good. I would not go as far as saying that it was great and "to die for" though. The salad is 4.50 and it was soooo tiny. They charged more because we ordered a medium to share and had different toppings for each side. Fairly enough, they deserve three stars. Slightly above average, but did not excite me.

We all loved their pizza. Good ingredients and I was surprised that I enjoyed the whole wheat crust. I would give it four stars if our 15 inch pizza wasn't so expensive at $33.

We got the "Super" pizza on white crust. Portuguese sausage on a pizza is delicious. The crust brushed with garlic butter is delicious. The level of crispiness was perfect, adding to its deliciousness. Four stars on the pizza, it was pretty, well, delicious. The restaurant had a clean and casual atmosphere with checkered tablecloths and an airy feel. Family friendly, with enough space between the tables so you don't have to feel annoyed by other peoples' children. The service was slow, so it's not somewhere you want to go in a rush. It's similar in taste and better in atmosphere than the one I went to on Kauai. No more waiting for the next Kauai trip to get some Brick Oven Pizza. Hooray!

Uncooked pizza dough for the kids to play with? Win! Decided to come check this place out instead of going to our usual (for baked manapuas!) couple doors down for lunch. Once you go through the doors, you can see the bar to your left, followed by thier kitchen. It was a slow day from what we could see, and we were seated right away. My daughters happily kept themselves busy with the pizza dough the hostess had brought for them. Since I have always wanted to try a mojito and I happened to glance at the bar menu of a Wild Berry Mojito that they were serving, I figure, why not? It was around lunch, so it's not like it was that early?! I don't have any to compare to, but it was pretty tasteless. Maybe more alcohol would've made it better. On to the food: Hubby and I shared a Small Veggie Pizza ($16) on whole wheat with garlic butter on the crust: YUM!!!! Although I could do with out the mushy center, (maybe from the water that came off the mushrooms?! The sauce was good, the crust was good. The only thing I didn't like about this pizza was the PAPER THIN slices of veggies and VERY GENEROUS portion of olives that covered the entire pizza. Other than that, hubby and I both agreed that we should've gotten a bigger pizza. My younger daughter, the lover of pasta at four years old, ordered the plain alfredo. It was served with spaghetti noodles and garlic bread. I got no complaints on this one as I could tell with by the sauce that covered my daughters entire mouth. My older daughter, the pizza lover at five years old, ordered the cheese pizza bread. It was a decent size peice of bread, enough for her little tummy. I later tasted her food and it was pretty good, very flavorful. Oh and FYI, they do NOT have a keiki menu. So the pizza bread is perfect for the little one. I believe we will return again. Seeing that the next day my daughters were asking to go to the place where they can "play with the pizza dough".

Good pizza is hard to find on Oahu and I was pleasantly surprised at Brick Oven. I don't usually go to this part of the island, but I had 2 hungry teenage boys to feed & we were in the neighborhood... I love thin crispy crust pizza & they do it well here. It's sturdy & holds all the toppings but not so heavy that it overwhelms. Nice touch with the garlic butter too! We had the "Super" which is their combo meat/veggie. I would definitely return IF I was in the area. I hope they open one in Honolulu!

Food is always good. The Super pizza is a good choice for the deluxe craving. Other tasty and smaller selections available, good appetizers Awkwardly received the check before dessert was served during one visit

I went with my sister for lunch. Got the tangy BBQ wings which were tangier than normal but still really tasty. It was a decent portion for us to split. Then got the margarita pizza (medium) which was good but I wish they had a tomato sauce base in addition to the garlic butter sauce. We also chose the wheat option! Quite garlicy but still yummy and we could have split a small sized pizza.

Well, What a surprise to find a decent pizza parlour on the West end. That being said, I was familiar with the joint from Ohana visits to Kaua'i. So It is as good as the Kaua'i spot. Now to comment on those issues that are brought up in comments of previous reviewers. First, we were going to Assagio's but as usual crowded as hell, and upon driving away, we caught the sign for the brick oven pizza restaurant. It can't really be seen from the street. But it is in the same center as the Organize it! store and Chun Wah Kam. So it was a "Oh what the heck, let's try it moment!.. So the issue of service was a non-issue for us, excellent service, so it is now February and the break-in period is worked out. Even having to wait outside the long wait outside in the cold(This time of year)wasn't too long. Took about 15 minutes to be seated, and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly, now mind you this was a Saturday nite at about 8:30pm. So fully packed and the girls were spot on and efficient. Secondly, Pizza, as others have said not the best but still better than the big box chain stores, and enough variety to keep up your interest. The crust is crisp thanks to a cardboard spacer to soak up moisture as opposed to just a metal pizza pan and thin with a nice french-bread like ring of crispy goodness. The toppings tasted fresh and not soaking in oil and we had Pepperoni, Mushroom, spinach, and Artichokes. Very good. We also had the spaghetti w/Italian sausage meatballs. The marinara was fairly tasted given it is a Pizza Joint didn't expect beyond that and you can order basic Marinara and add toppings from the Pizza list. The Polpettes/meatballs were manini and a bit too much bread filler for our taste. But better than Zippy's. So for us the combo of good service and decent food gets a 4. Now let's address price. If you are a foodie like myself, I usually make my own pizza and I know what time is involved to develop dough and prep the topping and make the sauce. So if you've never mad a from-scratch-pizza don't compare a chain with pre-made or pre-packed topping to a pizza joint that makes their own! So as far as price, if you want cheap go buy that Little Ceasar's crap or get a DiGiorno from the Grocery store. Which I have never liked, I'd rather go to Round Table. for chain Pizza, but I digress. So let's get back to those who criticize them for not having a Brick oven, Maybe it's not a classic brick and mortar Pizza oven, and I think some are confusing a clay fourno, but it may still be a brick-lined steel oven, So if you didn't ask or check don't assume. You no the ASS out of U and ME thing. Price? Well this is Hawaii, so unless your local the price is what it is. So Shit People from VA. and other mainland places. HELLO! this isn't Kansas anymore Dorothy! So nothing is cheap here.. Get over it Adjust your comments to the Cost of Living. and then be critical. Sheez! People get a clue were on a freakin Island!!!!! So there, Also if you order a Wheat crust, HELLO! If you don't like it and wanted something Healthy What the hell order a Pizza anyways what's Healthy about a lot of carbs and fat and processed Meats. Nothing! So don't try and make something out of something it will never be. just enjoy the original crust get the fat laden cheesy goodness and be HAPPY!... BTW who would want a fuckin Tofu Pizza with Soyrizo anyways or Veggie protein! Needless to say we will be back Hater's may I suggest you stay home call the delivery guy and just veg out and watch your reality show, and then we that like the damn place won't have to wait so long!!!

Since these days having carbs is a moderation and use-sparingly type of thing, for our "special" carb day, we decided to try Brick Oven pizza. Yeah you gotta drive aaaalll the way from town side to the dark side aka west side aka kapolei to visit this biz. Been hearing all the hype about how good the pizza is etc etc. And although I was pretty sure that JJ Dolan's pizza will top this, I was willing to give it a try. Got there around 7ish on Saturday night and it's pretty busy. Check our name in and told that the wait is like 30-40 min. Decided to wait at the bar and ordered a glass of Pinot noir. This is how you know you're not in " Kansas" anymore since the bartender offered you to have this some sort of cocktail concoction with champagne and peach schnapps vodka etc etc instead of taking your order as is. And the worst part is after I turned it down politely, he said " well we don't have any white white left.. No Pinot grigio"...errrrr :( whatves.. So I got the standard merlot. That's all he understood on red wine vocabulary. The table was ready quicker than expected. Sat down, ordered our Super Brick oven pizza (something like that-it's like supreme pizza) and hot wings with some tossed salads. Service is pretty quick and standard. I just wish they're not too stingy with the napkins situation considering you are serving a messy type of food. The pizza was pretty good, decent size with good enough topping, fresh bell pepper and cold cut meats. The crust that everyone raved about was pretty good also..I'm partial to thin crust, so I just had to try it for the sake of writing this review ;). In sum, brick oven pizza is ok in my book, but I wouldn't drive all the way again from town to kapolei just to get pizza knowing now for sure that JJ Dolan's is still better.

Omg the food is so good!! We started with the garlic, cheese bread and sautéed mushrooms. Both were awesome!! Then we got a medium pizza: half seasoned beef, green onions, and artichokes and half pepperoni, bacon, and onion with a brushing of garlic butter on the crust. It was sooo good!! Service was also great!! We went close to closing time so you would think they would try to rush you but our waitress was friendly and attentive but not in the overwhelming, irritating kind of way; my glass never went empty!! Total for food, two sodas, one pitcher of beer, and tip came out to $70. Kind of pricey but it was definitely worth trying this place out!!

Went here with my family and I thought it was pretty good! Wait: 40 mins (weekend) Service: Pretty fast and efficient considering how busy they were. We had to ask for refills on our sodas, but they were quick to bring them back. Food: Pizzas were YUM-O. We ordered the "super" and the "margherita". Both came fresh out of the oven. Loved the crust! The garlic butter was a nice bonus too! We also ordered 1 order of spaghetti. I thought the spaghetti was alright. Portion was small considering it was around $10 for a plate and there was nothing special about the taste. Overall: I would come back when I'm craving good pizza. It's definitely more pricey than Pizza Hut or Papa Johns, but way better! I would have given them 5 stars if the spaghetti tasted better and if the wait wasn't that long.

Pizza is yummy!! Prices are a little high. I also love their garlic bread with mozzarella cheese and buffalo wings. Best pizza so far is the Margherita! It's garlic butter sauce, mozzarella cheese, tomato, garlic topped with fresh basil! Winner!

First it wasn't bad. Prior reviews may reflect the start up growing curve. The need for gathering places in Ewa, that are casual and affordable are truely - in need. Service: We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving, there were only two of us so we sat at the small bar yet the bar keep was friendly and accomendating. We then were seated and joined tables with some friends. We were instantly offered a beverage including water, and it arrived instantly. Through out our dining we were asked frequently what we needed. So if they were bad to start they seemed to have worked through the fact that when you open an eatery in Ewa your going to be swamped due to the lack of ... eaterys with a family friendly enviroment. Good service. Remember the soft skill of the serive industry are foriegn to texting teens. We can help them by being friendly and telling the manager then to help him, help them Food: Now having done time around the world including Italy, we went to eat and got good food, sat with great friends, had good service and felt comfortable. Was it the best pizza in the world - no, can you get cheaper from as one poster said the frozen food section at Safeway sure, but my friends and I find sitting in the isle at Safeway a bit lacking of ambiance, plus they don't serve Mojito's or beer in Safeway. Too bad too. The crust and toppings were good. I would have like more mushrooms, and perhaps a bit more zip to the flavor of the sauce. And maybe, put some bricks around the oven so it's actually Brick Oven. We have four different pizza's and everyone was fine with the food, from veggie to the special. Price: Hawaii. High Rent. High Utilities. High Water. Food is brought from not here, thus the cost is there. There you go, a ten dollar pie is not a reality when your trying to pay staff, water, electric, and rent - plus food. So your paying for pizza IN Hawaii, and your paying to be social and not sit at home on the couch, so the price is more that just pizza. TV's: It's the way of the times, sports, flash and electrons. If you want quiet and space for your thoughts, try Asagio's or the Pho across the street. Great food, and quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Tonight there were nine of us and we needed to laugh, be loud and just enjoy being out together in our community in a new resturant. I lke to hear kids laugh and folks cheering at the game. (And what wrong with Basketball?) I was sad to read someone wished them closed in six months. This is someone's dream and I hope for all those in Hawaii with dreams as well as across the nation trying to create jobs by starting and investing in community based business, that they succeed, but I hope they read yelp and know that great customer service and good food will ensure success, fail on one, then you fail at all. Good luck Brick Oven, we will be back.

Place is pretty good. Pizza is decent. I still prefer Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Shaky's, etc. I'm not saying that the pizza is bad, but it's nothing special. Still a great environment and great service.

I've been reading a lot of reviews and they're saying the same thing that the ovens aren't made of brick. Maybe there is a stone material in the ovens itself and that's why they call it brick oven? Anyway, I've been to the original on Kauai and have been to this place twice so far and decided that like any other place in Hawaii every place is known for something. With that said, their "specialty" pizza with the olives, peperoni, salami, ham, Portuguese sausage, ground beef and bell peppers is a really tasty "homey" style tasting pizza. Meaning it doesn't necessarily taste like a pie from Naples, but something you would make in the convenience of your home (but who has the time right?). The only difference is their oven temps probably get hotter and therefore makes their crusts on the bottom a lot more crispier. My advice for this place is not to deviate from the "specialty" pizza (although I heard that the meat lovers is just as good), because you'll probably be disappointed. When I first ate there I tried to order a pie with "imported anchovies" and the waiter kindly told me that they weren't the white anchovies that I was thinking of. But, being optimistic I ordered it anyway and I was really disappointed. I won't get in to the specifics, but like I said earlier these aren't pizzas from Naples. If you stick to what they are known for I think you'll find the pizza rather enjoyable. I like that you can choose a wheat crust which is different, but the "butter" that they brush on the crusts is barely noticeable. Get a side of ranch and pizza sauce to dip your crusts in. I realize that they don't use a real "brick oven" but like I said earlier, perhaps their stainless steel ovens are lined with some kind of stone bottom which gives the bottom of the pizzas a crispier crust. I give it three stars because if you stick with the specialty pizza and choose to go with the wheat crust, you have a very unique and tasty pizza (you could probably on find a pizza like this if you made it yourself at home). So remember 1. Specialty pizza 2. give the wheat crust a try for something different 3. Get dipping sauces (ranch and pizza) 4. Don't compare this place to a place in Naples Chow :)

crust was baked to perfection, sauce was savory and toppings as fresh and crispy as the ocean breeze on an Oahu winter morning. service was friendly and great. some of the past reviewers need to understand that these folks are human too - they make mistakes and might be scatterbrained during stressful times. just because they are there to "serve" you doesn't make them any less of a person, these aren't the 1800s. lower your expectations and at the very least be sympathetic. you'll get your pizza, your beer mug will get refilled, and your check will eventually come. if you're in a rush, jack in the crack is right down the street.

I was super excited to try this new pizza place. My husband said the one in Kauai is really good and it is a rarity to find good pizza places here. Anyway we head on to Brick Oven Pizza despite the reviews on how horrible service was. We got to the restaurant and was sat quickly on a two top in the corner. They have big screen TVs for those people who are ADHD and need to be occupied at all times even while chewing. Too bad it was basketball so I occupied my time checking in and snapping shots of the food. Ordered a basket of mozzarella garlic bread (which is really hefty in size for two people) and a medium two topping pizza. I like to try basic pizzas when trying a new place because if they can't get the basic down, usually that's pretty bad. Hmm...I'd say we waited about 15-20 minutes for our bread to arrive. Maybe its a way to make people extra hungry by giving the appetizers right before the meal. But who cares because the bread was amazing. Besides I have attempted to make a gourmet pizza at home and it took 45 minutes just to get the dough rolled out and topping on so no biggy. Finally got our pizza fresh out of the oven. I wanted the whole wheat dough to conceal all the fat and calories we were about to consume and to give it a hint of healthiness. Amazing pizza! The crust was really good and you can tell they make their own. I had to ditch some crusts because the whole wheat literally made me feel super full and I wanted to eat more of the pizza pizza. I had three slice and two breads and I swear I almost fainted probably due to the consumption of so much sodium and fats or it was because my belly was so happy and filled with contentment. I have to say service was pretty fast and on it with things. The place was pretty busy for a weeknight too. Our server was pleasant and friendly which kind of made me think about the other reviews. It is fairly new and they are still working out the kinks and maybe all the other Yelpers went on one of their "bad" days. Anyways, really stoked I got great service and amazing food. Be prepared to pay a little more though. It is a "gourmet" pizza and its no $10 dollar special from Pizza Hut. Our tab was about $30 bucks for a medium pizza and a basket of mozzarella garlic bread. I will say that we brought home 3 pieces of pizza and 3 garlic breads which is like another meal in itself. So stoked to have a good pizza place on the west side.

Another place that has yet to disappoint. A little more expensive but by far my favorite pizza place in kapolei. Their pupu pizza with bacon is my favorite but I recently tasted their claim chowder and that is quickly going up the list, I wasn't expecting it from a pizza place. Try it, you'll love it!

Total disappointment. Delivered wrong pizza, sauce taste like someone dumped a cup of sugar in it. Mushrooms not cooked prior to putting them on the pizza... And my god man the price????? Are you kidding me? First and last time for me. Going to stick with the competitor around the corner...named after a famous city on the east coast. Sorry brick oven your pizzas are hardly "broke da mout"......

Excited to hear, as most Leeward residents, of a new food establishment opening. When I heard it was a Brick Oven Pizza joint, I was very excited to enjoy a rustic pizza made in the brick oven. The kitchen is in full fiew of the seating area and having worked in pizza joints growing up, I noticed there was no brick oven and they were cooking out of a conventional pizza oven. Disappointing. Is there truth in marketing? If no brick oven is on the way, I would drop the "Brick" and call the establishment "Oven Pizza". Our order was a large pizza and 2 Ceasar salads. The pizza was good, but it wasn't a brick oven style pizza, I had expected. The service was attentive and nice. The cost with tip was $50. Overpriced, but I'll blame the top 1% that own the building for probably skewering the business owner with high rental fees. Now that I know what to expect, we will eat here again, but the price will prohibit us from being regulars.

We ate here based on the copious number of five and five star reviews, and having found nothing else in the area with the same enthusiastic following. It should have a been an immediate sign when our waitress had to reconfirm her red zinfandel order twice, once after leaving our table. A third time, if you count the fact that the bartender came by several minutes later to confirm that we wanted two bottles of Red Stripe. Nice. I did order a root beer float, which I suppose in some people's minds, is pretty close. Our two orders of water also never made it to the table either, until I walked up to the bar to get them myself. Thankfully, or not, we didn't see much of our server for the rest of the meal. Several other people brought out various plates, but never the original girl who took our order in the first place. It seemed like the people bringing our food were actually better than our "server". But this is about the food, no? The pupu white pizza was reasonable, comes with little buckets of marinara and two buckets of ranch sauce with a nice, twisted golden crust. I had the meatzza, loaded with almost all the salty meats they could think of throwing on the pizza. Also a decent order, but when the medium costs $24 for a 12" pie, you wonder if there's a couple chunks of endangered black rhino or unicorn meat on here that raises the price to gourmet levels for a decidedly lackluster dish. The chair seats and flat top tables are basic, no leather booths, and fake brick motif adorning the walls to bring the establishment a bit closer to its namesake. I can't say this is the worst pizza I've ever had, but I can't really think of an experience at a pizza place that I've had as bad in the past 10+ years, either. Despite the claims four and five star claims that led here, I'd suggest you go somewhere else to sate your craving for pizza!

At the posting of this review I am sitting in the Emergency Room.... My husband became violently ill after having their "SUPER"... We suspected food poisoning. Sure enough the doctors confirm it. Jokingly the nurse asks me where he ate so she knew not to go there.... After we told her she said we were NOT the first. I normally don't review all that much but felt if I had read someone else's post about getting sick at this place I would have thought twice about coming here. If this review helps save even one person a trip to the ER than Its well worth it.

110/365 Came at its second opening night at around 6 and it wasn't too crowded. I put my name in for 6 people and as me and my bf waited for the rest of my party it got full and slowly got busy with people waiting. When my party finally came and went to get seated, the hostess apparently didnt put my name down...so dumb...so I told her and she called in another worker and the rest of my party asked to put our name to the top since I w were there WAY before them. Considering that it was their only second day opening and the hostess looked new to the job (not like her coworker, whom was more "confident"), i'll see how it is...haha :). For our apps we got their bbq wings and buffalo hot wings and for their pizzas we got the large hawaiian bbq chicken and their "super" pizza which is their specialty pizza. Their wings were pretty good, I like the buffalo one better. As for their pizza it was pretty good. We all noticed that the crust was thin even though we didnt ask for thin crust and their outer crust was really crunchy and they also ask if you want it brushed with garlic butter in which we said, "hec yeah!:" The bbq chicken pizza was good, sweet and savory with pineapple, ham, chicken and bbq. The "super" pizza is really meaty with your basic "supreme" pizza toppings with the added chopped Portuguese sausage. Overall, pretty good, i'd def like to give it another try. They place is also pretty small, it would be good if they expand tables to outside thats for sure.

Some friends, my wife and I wanted to eat in Kapolei and we decided to try this place out. We knew they were somewhat known on Kauai and thought it was worth a try. We had to wait wait about 30 minutes (it was a Friday night) and there's no where to sit, but the time went fast since we were with friends. When we got it, it was bustling. Lots and lots of people. Between us, we ordered some salad, a big pizza and some hot wings. The hot wings were pretty good... not too hot. The Caesar salad was kind of sad portion wise and they forgot the anchovies thought my friend ordered it. They offered us some pizza dough for the kids to play with but never brought it (until we reminded them). We chalked a lot of that up to the business. We really liked the pizza. We ordered one of their specialty pizzas with white crust and Garlic. We all liked it and had a couple of extra pieces to take home. Also, the coke was great! I hate places that have bad/flat soda. If they can tighten up some of the service issues and maybe add some seating for those that have to wait, I would easily rate them 4 stars... maybe even 5. We'll visit again for sure... they're best where it counts.

It's a brick houuss...OVEN! Besides the chain restaurants like Pizza Hut and Little Caesars, Brick Oven pizza is the closest pizza joint for us Westside dwellers. Located near the Kapolei transit center in a small center is where you will find this joint. This is my go to spot for first dates being that there usually isn't a wait, the noise level is perfect, not too loud and not so quiet as to hear crickets. Servers are friendly, decor is dark colors, I'm guessing in remnants of a brick oven look/feel, though they have license plates on the wall as well..hmm. I love pizza but who doesn't, right?! I do enjoy their pizza a lot. Having the option to have pesto sauce over marinara is a plus. Tomato based products tend to give me acid reflux if I partake a bit late in the evening..sorry, tmi. I've tried the wheat crust, it was actually good, but it just felt too healthy for this pizza addict. The pesto sauce is great and also the garlic butter on the crust is okay, more garlic would make a huge difference,in amping up the taste. The garlic clams is really good! Perfectly seasoned and cooked well. I also really liked the extra hot, hot wings, taste was lip smacking good. The fried calamari doesn't stand out, pretty much the taste that you get when ordering calamari at other restaurants. Last night was my first time ordering a bottle of red wine to accompany my dinner. Ordered the Stella Chianti, it is a pizza joint so this wine was okay. Since I had eaten earlier we decided to order a small pesto pizza with portugese sausage, bacon, spinach and cheese. Boy was I surprised when the pizza came out and it was slightly larger than a pizza hut personal pan pizza! I expected more for the price! Overall, taste is good, servers are friendly constantly filling up my water, though each time I had visited here at least 2-3 water refills tasted as though it came from a water hose. Yes, I know how water hose water tastes, I was an 80's kid *wink*. The one disappointment on this visit was as we stood on the side to wait for a hostess, she ignored us and helped the people behind us, who she had known, first. She then came back and apologized saying she didn't know we were waiting..hmmm. There's a first time for everything no stars subtracted for that.

Brick Oven Pizza has gluten free pizza! Woohoo. It's pretty good too. I would recommend asking them to let it cook a little longer since the first time I went and it wasn't very done. I asked today and told them I didn't care about the wait and the pizza was awesome! Only complaints are it's a small (8 slices) pizza and it's pretty expensive. A one topping was 18.00!

Great service. Great food. Great prices. Walked-in expecting this place to be just a pizza place & found out that this place is much much more than that. Tv's everywhere. Cold beer on tap. Laughing & cheering throughout. Gosh I feel in love. It's a little gem in the heart of kapolei. I won't be going to chilis anymore to watch the game. Another thing I loved, was that the crew also seemed to get a long. Some high fived each other as they started there shifts. You can tell a lot about a place all by the way the employees interact with each other.

Since we didn't get our Flat Bread Pizza yesterday............guess where I went to eat pizza today????? Das right gangies............BRICK OVEN PIZZA! Yay! I guess we couldn't get that pizza off of our minds, so I met my friend in Kapolei today to eat some pizza. Brick Oven Pizza originally started out in Kauai (Kalaheo), since then, they have opened another store in Kauai (Wailua), and then branched out to Oahu - (Kapolei & Kaneohe). The first time I ever had Brick Oven Pizza was on Kauai (Kalaheo), and I thought the pizza was pretty good! Today, as I try another Brick Oven location, I must say the pizza is pretty consistent............ We ordered the- Brick Ovens Super Pizza The Brick Ovens Super Pizza is - A delectable combination of homemade sauce, cheese, salami, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, Italian sausage, lean beef, Portuguese sausage, smoked ham, green onions & bell peppers. What can I say about the pizza? First of all..........love the crust! I love thin crusted pizza, and I love the way they make the edge of the pizza thick & doughy. When you order the Brick Oven Super Pizza, they do load the pizza with a lot of crap, so when you pick it up.............since the crust is not thick, or strong enough to hold up the toppings.......... there's tendencies that the pizza will go limp on you, but no worries, a professional pizza eater like me..........no problemo! I eat 'em all with no problems at all! It was a bit crowded today for lunch, but service was pretty good & attentive. Our waitress refilled our drinks right away, and kept coming by to check on us. The pizza came out quickly & was piping hot! Noms! Too bad this location is so far from my house, otherwise I'd come here more often. Check 'em out gang! Good pizza here!

It's really nice here. Beyond the glass doors are deep dark brown tables with black chairs & some metal too. Picture glass form the walls. There is an outdoor dining area. Beyond the door -- Bar to the left; little further left is a staging area that serves as a check out counter; restrooms are far left. Wait - was that just a women's restroom?! Think so. Right of the door is the check-in desk that's never really used; straight ahead & right is the seating area. Within 3 visits, I've tried 2 items: 1) Alfredo (add 85¢ each: mushrooms, zucchini, & spinach) + salad lunch special (2x) 2) Margherita pizza w/extra cheese TASTE: In general, I really like the taste of their food. It's really good. QUANTITY: Quantity is a problem however. It feels like they just put enough to add it to the dish but it's a don't-get-used-to-it kind of not-enough :( Review of 1) ALFREDO w/3 ADD ONs + SALAD LUNCH SPECIAL: They have a great deal in their salad & alfredo. Nice salad albeit a bit fluffy (seems like it's made to seem like it's a lot but is not all that much if you were to press it all down lol). What I like about it is that it's a lot more than just romaine. They also add in a variety of other gourmet-type lettuces in good combination that do not make the salad taste bitter overall. Bit of curl of carrot on top & large chunks of tomatoes are nice. I'm more of a balsamic & olive oil person so I just (try to) sprinkle it on generously. The alfredo is large & very tasty; however, also seemed a bit watery not at all ooey or gooey thick (I prefer this). Noodles were a bit softer than I'd like & could really stand to be more al dente. Small french bread are yummy though I wished were a lot larger. Note: Can not order this as take out. You MUST eat it there. Ho boy :( Eat there & total comes to $18 ($15 + tip) Review of 2) MEDIUM-sized MARGHERITA PIZZA W/EXTRA CHEESE: Taste is good! Comes with tomatoes, white mozzarella cheese, & fresh fluffy basil evenly placed on top. Was unpleasantly surprised to find very sparsely spaced & hand-placed fresh whole basil leaves on top not chopped. When I asked for more basil leaves, they put a bit more but still wasn't enough to cover the pizza so I asked for more & they gave me a small rectangular paper bowl of it. This might seem like a lot but really was not many leaves much per slice of pizza in actuality. If you like basil (supposed to be part of my order, right?), you may have to ask for more 3 times not just 2 like I did :( Extra cheese I swear I ordered didn't seem to be very extra. At center, height of the pie was perhaps a lot less than 1/4" so if I hadn't ordered extra cheese it would have been half or less than 1/16"? I did ask about the amount of cheese that's "extra" but was told that's it. I was left a bit confused whether there really was any extra cheese. Tomatoes were chopped up seemed to be hidden somewhere inside the cheese. You could definitely see spots of tomato pieces here & there but were more like semblances of them there spread reallly thinnn all over the pizza. I showed the server a photo of same pizza w/tomato slices & he replied that the tomato slicer was probably broken that day that's why they were in slices bc they don't do that (slices). Admitted that I'd prefer tomato slices & he said he would let them know. Topped w/garlic?! None seen but think I tasted it/them! By now I'm having such confused feelings. It tastes great but then there's all these buts that for the most part go unanswered & unresolved. I am a kind of happy pizza diner but sort of not really. Next, bread around the perimeter is nice & thick; center pie area is so thin that it's more than a bit difficult to cut. I usually use a fork+knife to cut pizza haha but today found it extremely more efficient to just pick it up w/my fingers. Then when I picked up a slice, all were so thin I had to use my fork to hold up the center part of the pizza in order to eat it. I'm even more confused. Is pizza supposed to be this flimsy way?! I have eaten my fair share of pizzas in my life and have never experienced such a flopsy thing! Aiyah.. Eat this there & it's $28+ (24 + tip) WATER SERVICE & SERVICE IN GENERAL: It seemed like wait staff were hardly in the dining area or they'd pass you by on the way to doing something nearby you & never look up to see how you were doing. If you need attention, call out from afar to let them know you need something: Help..! S-O-S..!! WATER - My water cup could have been filled 4-5 more times in addition to the 3 times while I ate. Hey, the cups contained lotsa ice so the H2O is actually pretty brief. OLIVE OIL & BALSAMIC VINEGAR - Waaay difficult to get anything out of these containers! Use arm momentum! 3 STARS = The taste is delicious. Considering these prices, I just wanted to enjoy a good meal & not have to deal w/quantity & ingredient technicalities or hunt for service all meal long. Sad Panda face :(

I love pizza. Been craving it for weeks now, and finally made it out to Kapolei to have some Brick Oven Pizza. We were seated right away during lunch time on a Saturday. What I liked was that they didn't try to put everyone in a corner of the restaurant, but instead spread us out so we aren't packed in a corner like sardines! Wait staff was quick. Not much interaction other than them taking my order and refilling my water. Menu is extensive. I suggest you take your time going through all they have to offer before you make your decision. So tempting to want to try everything though! You can make your own pie or order one of their specialty pies. They've got salads, appetizers, combos, drinks, wings, etc. Everything you'd expect in a pizza joint. I opted for the small sized margherita pizza with pepperoni, which is roughly 8 small slices. Tons of garlic in there! The crust was very crispy. We asked for marinara sauce on the side just to dip the crust in. YUMMY! Also ordered the hot wings. Wasn't too impressed with the wings. They were a bit dry and not very generous with the sauce. I've had better. They've got alcohol. Happy hour. TVs in every corner for your entertainment. Good place to stop by with some friends. Wouldn't go out of my way, though. Enjoy.

Had a late lunch here, didn't know what to expect since there were some bad Yelp reviews, but mostly good ones. Luckily, we had a great meal here. We didn't want to eat or spend too much, so got 2 small pizzas, a pepperoni ( about $12.50) and a meat lovers one ( about $17.50). After about 15 minutes our pies arrived, hot and fresh out of the oven. The crust was nice and crispy, brushed lightly with garlic butter. The pizzas were topped with gooey cheese, and both were really good. Each pie had 8 small slices, so 2 were like a slice of a large pizza. The waitress was friendly and efficient, refiling our waters and sodas without us even having to ask. We will eat here again if we are in the area. It's not cheap, but definitely way better than the Hut or P Johns!

The open-faced pizza bread sandwich was yummy, but the pricing on the menu was confusing, so it ended up costing a bit more than expected. I was able to make 2 delightful cheese-free sandwiches and they were large enough that I had a heart shaped sandwich left to take home. The service was a bit slow since it was packed and my water stayed drained for several minutes more than once. But the waiter was friendly when he did stop by.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner one night and ordered the calamari appetizer and the Brick Oven "Super" pizza in medium size. It was soooo good!!! The medium size was definitely a good amount for the both of us and we had a couple leftover slices to take home. The only thing that wasn't great was the service... Towards the end of the meal, both my bf and I had absolutely no water in our cups. We had to wait at least 10 minutes to flag the waitress down to get our check and a water refill. If it wasn't for that, I would give this place 4 stars.

I can't speak to the whole restaurant experience since we just ordered a medium pizza for takeout. We arrived right when they opened at 11am on a Monday and it took about 15 minutes for the pizza to be made. I can't remember the name of the pizza but it had all the toppings on it. The taste was good but everything kept coming off each slice which made it very difficult to eat!

The restaurant was crowded so we sat on the patio. The food took a while but came out hot and delicious! Ordered 2 medium pizzas and a bowl of Alfredo. Plenty of food for 5 hungry people and even a couple of pieces left to take home.

Went back to visit and hear they have dinner buffet on Mondays and Thursdays! They have rearranged the place a bit since I was last there - beefing up the bar area a bit, and creating some definition in the big restaurant area. They also covered and added lighting to the outdoor area. Cool! Pizza was as good as ever. This time is had the veggie salad - so good! - some garlic cheese bread, and an upcountry cocktail. Yummy on all points!

This place was way more awesome than I imagined. Cool ambiance for the fam, no wait at all, great service, and the food tasted hella good. I love that they do half & half options for all the pizzas, and they have a whole wheat option as well. Everything came out very nicely presented, which we didn't really expect from a pizza joint. I also love that the pizza wasn't a grease pool.. One of the first places I didn't have to take a stack of napkins and dab all over- nice! They bring doh for the kids to play with instead if the normal coloring option, which kept them occupied the whole night. Also, they do a military discount.. And they actually asked my husband before we thought to- who doesn't like a place that likes to save you money & honor the troops?! Our grindz: Ultameat pizza: pepperoni, slice ham, portugese sausage, bacon, salami, lean beef Greg Goose mule: You can choose from the various flavors cherry, citron, and I forgot the rest. It came in a neat mug with lime garnish. Tasted great, but not for the faint- super strong. Root beer floats: We ordered "smalls" for the kids... Not so small at all, but they didn't complain Cheesecake w/ passion fruit drizzle: nice! Perfect size to split- not crazy big like our friends at the cheesecake factory. The passion fruit was nice because it didn't make the dessert overly sweet.

I went here for lunch on a weekday with my coworkers and only had dessert. It was a very large slice of heavenly ice cream pie with a cookie crust. Coffee and ice cream are my favorite things so when you combine them I am sold. I almost couldn't finish it. My friends had the lunch menu items and those sandwiches are enough for 2 people. Service was fast and patient, but it was lunch time on a weekday. Next time will have to try the buffet.

Drove all the way here from Pearl ridge shopping center because we didn't want to wait for an hour at CPK. When we got here there was no line but according to the employee I spoke to she said it was 25 mins wait but when we got there there was no line and we were seated right away. Server was nice she did what servers usually do when seated down. We waited for a bit while for our food to come probably about 20 mins or so. The restaurant was not that busy "weekday". Not sure what was going on in the kitchen. So our calamari finally came first, unfortunately it was over cooked and really hard to bite and seems like they used old oil. So we told our server that it was hard to eat and said that "because it's deep fried etc" but really it was over cooked and burnt looking. So we gave it back for another one. Then came the chicken Alfredo. And wow!!! It was very dry and the bad thing was that the pastas where chopped! It looked like left overs. (See photo) We didn't complain about it until the end because of the calamari. We barely ate it because it was not appetizing at all. Our server admitted that she didn't know why the Alfredo looked like that but not sure why she still served it to us. And what happened to their wheat pizza? Before it was puffy now all thinned and hard crust with the toppings sliding off. :/ This is probably the 4th time I came here. 2-3 years ago their food was good and appetizing and but now not so much. Maybe their cooked changed or gotten lazy? We were not satisfied. And another we never gotten a receipt back and our changed was wrong, $4 short and gave her about 26% tip. Only noticed we were short after we gave tip.But we were nice enough to just let it go. Oh well our last time here... Very disappointing. Honestly save your money I don't recommend it here.

Brick Oven Pizza is a neighborhood pizza place that will satisfy many different groups and occasions. When I went by for lunch there was a group of guys watching sports on the big screens, families with young children, working professionals, and a baby shower. It's open and airy, with indoor and outdoor seating (nice on a cool night), though volume wise it can get pretty loud. We had the Lunch for 2 ($23) which allows each of you to have either a soup or salad and to share a medium 1-topping pizza (you can pay to add more pizza toppings). I would pass on the Italian Wedding soup, the pasta was over cooked, the soup was just chicken broth, and the grease in the soup coated my tongue in an unpleasant way. The salad was a basic salad with lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, and croutons. The star was the brick oven pizza. It had a great crust--crispy on the bottom, chewy at the ends--I would suggest getting a topping that has some salt in it, maybe the anchovies or pepperoni or sausage, we didn't have a salty topping (went vegetarian with mushrooms and spinach) and I missed the saltiness. It was plenty for two and we took pizza home. Now you don't have to go to Kauai, check this place out the next time you have a pizza craving.

I was craving some calamari so my husband suggested we order it from here since we were nearby. I called in just one order of calamari... that's it. He told me it would be ready in 35 minutes. It was about 2:00pm in the afternoon and I walked in there and there was only one customer drinking at the bar, it was totally dead in there, and a bunch of employees just standing around talking to each other and on their phones. Ok, whatever, I don't care, I just came to pick up my order... why did I have to wait another 20 minutes for my 1 order of calamari? I'm assuming at that point that they just didn't start cooking it until I got in there. Finally got my order and left. I open it when I get home and the calamari was BURNT!! Like, dark brown, and tasted like old oil and charcoal burnt. I didn't even call and complain. I figured they would be too busy texting and fooling around to take any complaints anyway. Never going back to this place.

Nice "locals" place. Everyone was friendly, possibly the nicest waiter ever - too bad I forget his name (Jason?). We got the Hawaiian chicken BBQ which was delicious as well as a large salad and a French dip. The food was good and there were many menu options. It was a nice excursion from the expensive resort dining in Ko Olina. Would definitely recommend as a nice place to escape the crowds with good food and service. PS they had a Loco Moco pizza special that I was tempted to try but went with the BBQ instead. May have to go back before we head home....

Brick Oven Pizza has the best pizza on the west side of the island! They are located across the street from the Kapolei Consolidated Theaters and shared the same parking lot with Chun Wah Kam. HAPPY HOUR!!!.....WOOT WOOT lol.. It's from 2-6pm EXCEPT on Mondays & Thursdays happy hour is ALL DAY... OH YEAH! Lol! They're happy hour menu is awesome.... There's even oyster shooters...YUM-O! I know they also offer buffet but I'm not sure exactly when and what the times are for that so try calling them to find out exactly when they offer it. They have a small bar area to the left of the entrance. They have to me what looks like a full bar. They have tv's to show whatever game is on... I've been here to watch football, baseball, and basketball. The pizza here are a little pricey but you get what you pay for which is quality pizza. You'll be very satisfied with their pizza and they do offer whole wheat crust as well. Besides pizza, they do have chicken wings, salads, pasta, desserts, etc... They have indoor and outdoor seating! The staff here are very friendly and very helpful. It's gets pretty crowded in here during happy hour but don't let that deter you from eating here... It's worth it!

I made the 'mistake' (not meant in a bad way) of coming here on a holiday. It was packed but there was a little table off along the side of the restaurant. It was 5:44 and happy hour ended at 6. The waiter was kind enough to take all my orders down so I got the discounted prices. A Heineken, Mojito, Long Island Iced Tea and a Tokyo Tea. I also got ahi poke for pupus. I love their ahi poke. I loved the rock salt. UGH I WANT SOME NOOOOW. The mojito was very planty tasting. It actually overpowered the entire drink. The Long Island Iced Tea was my second favorite. Idky, I'm just..such a sucker for a smooth one. The Tokyo Tea..ahh. I've had this elsewhere and it was much more subtle. This one here kinda slaps you in the face with the liquor lol. I guzzled it down regardless (ceeleeebraaate good times, come on!) Heinekens are heinekins. Need something mellow. And waters! Got hungry, ordered a medium 3 topping pizza. Pepperoni, Bacon, and Pineapples. It was random. It was amazeballs. I would definitely like to come back here and try other things on their menu.

I've been here twice now and I love the pizza. The atmosphere is nice here. Caters to big parties, date nights, and family dinners. Lots of choices to making your custom pizza. I personally love pizza but I don't like marinara so this place offers me different options. They have a variety of appetizers and different foods other than just pizza. From pasta to french fries to calamari to smoke meat and even oysters. There is pasta salad sandwiches etc. The staff is nice and it can get crowded but they work to get you seated :)

I wished they would setup shop in my home town of San Ramon. Pizza outside Chicago doesn't get better than this. Excellent crust, sauces are fresh and any topping you want. I also go to their place in Kauai anytime I'm on Kauai's south shore. Staff are like family and make us feel welcome.

Craving pizza, my parents and I drove past an unusually slow Brick Oven Pizza and decided to stop by. We were seated right away at one of the few remaining open tables and glanced over the menu. Within minutes of sitting down, the rest of the tables filled up and a queue began to form outside. Since Brick Oven Pizza does not take reservations, it is only lucky timing like this that separates the diners from the waiting whiners. Since the restaurant is rather large, with both indoor and outdoor seating, your wait should last no more than 20 minutes at the most (I hope!). The three of us were quite hungry so we ordered a Wings Trio and a Medium 3-Topping Combination with Pepperoni, Olives, and Mushrooms. The Wings Trio ($14.95) was a happy hour special that night and came out to $10. You get five pieces each of their Teriyaki, Tangy BBQ, and Hot Wings flavors and ranch dipping sauce. My parents and I all agreed that the Teriyaki was the best followed by the Hot Wings and then the Tangy BBQ. The wings were smothered generously in each of their sauces, but still had a great crunch to them! While I loved the wings and would recommend them (especially if you come during happy hour), I was underwhelmed by the pizza. To preface, I prefer thinner crust pizza, so I was not a huge fan of the thick and doughy Brick Oven Pizza crust. We opted to have garlic butter brushed on per our waitress's recommendation, but I could not taste any garlic or butter flavors! I was pleasantly surprised, however, by the generous hand they use to top the pizza. The sauce was a fragrant and thick tomato sauce, reminiscent of marinara sauce. I hate when pizza sauce is more like a tomato glaze. Brick Oven Pizza's sauce was thick, flavorful, and heaped on top along with a heavy handed supply of cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives! We ended our meal with ice cream sundaes. For $1.50, Brick Oven Pizza's ice cream sundaes are a terrific deal. They may just be a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate or strawberry syrup, and a cherry, but it is the perfect ending to a good meal!

First Timer! Hot Wings- Came out hot and ready to eat! Sauce was on point! No veggies though :( Super Pizza on Wheat with Garlic Butter Crust - I love toppings so this was a win! Wheat to help me feel like I'm being healthy, Garlic Butter for extra deliciousness is a must! Wings and a Small Pizza for 2 was the right amount of food. Clean, A/C, Outside Patio Area (which looked like it would be super cute at night with their lighting), TVs on Sports. Servers were nice and attentive about my water (which is a must with me) but overall a bit slow. Maybe they were were a little short staffed? It got pretty busy while we were sitting. I would definitely give it another shot!

Today was not my first visit to this place, I've had the wings before and the pizza. The wings are good when they don't skimp on the sauce and the pizza is good no complaints about that. Overall the place is a little expensive but ok. They get 2 stars just for my visit today. My friend and I ordered a French dip sandwich each ....waited about 45 minutes for a sandwich with skimpy portions if beef. It seemed like they had a lunch rush today that they weren't used to which is why our food took so long, but this still doesn't excuse the skimpy portions of beef on the sandwich. Not BGCâ„¢

Came in at lunchtime, ordered a French dip and waited just over 30 minutes to get it. Not the waitresses fault the kitchen just seems to be way behind. When I got the sandwich it was 90% bread and 10% meat. Straight snickelfritz. - I hear by deem this establishment... NOT BGC (big guy certified)

The Pizza selection is so Ono. Don't forget to try the oysters. Didn't think it was gonna be that great, knowing that it's a pizza place but it was recommended by a customer and by golly, it was awesome! I've never had such good oysters on this island than brick oven pizza. Must have!!

Location: This pizza joint is located in the corner of the same shopping center as Simply Organized and Cupcake and Things. There is a reasonable amount of parking spaces in this shopping center. Seating: They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area would be ideal for large parties. Wait Time: The wait time on a Friday night was reasonable. We waited less than 30 minutes for a party of three. There is a bench outside for those who are waiting. Food: The food was okay. It was nothing special. We ordered the mozarella and cheddar garlic cheese bread, clam chowder, chicken Caesar salad and a small specialty pizza. The garlic cheese bread was good. My husband liked the clam chowder. The Casear salad could be better. The bottom of the plate was drenched in water. (I assume they washed the lettuce but didn't try it well.) The dressing was drenched all over the salad. I felt like I was just eating Caesar dressing. A small pizza was a good size for 2 adults. The "Super" pizza tasted like a supreme pizza. It didn't taste like it was made in a brick oven. My husband and I was disappointed since we know how brick oven pizzas taste. Price: The pizza prices are on the higher end. I believe our small "Super" pizza was around $18. There appetizers and salads are reasonably priced. Drinks: This place looks like a great place for drinks. I didn't look at their drink menu but I did notice the bar and the atmosphere has a bar feel to it. Overall, I wasn't impressed on my visit here but I can see myself coming back and trying another pizza. I would definitely order their garlic cheese bread again. I did notice they advertise a pizza buffet on select days. I may check out the pizza buffet in the future.

Went here with a group of friends. We got seated right away, but waited for our food for a long time. Most of us ordered pizzas, some chicken sandwiches so I was able to taste a little of different things. Service was great-- the waitress checked up on us frequently and was friendly. I'm rating this place two stars because I really don't see what's special about their pizza, especially for the price. Small to large size pizzas ranged from about $20-$35. It was just A-OK and not worth it for the price. The crust and flavors weren't spectacular and my chicken sandwich, while the bread was nice and crunchy, didn't quite hit it off for me either. I really wanted to like this place, but I feel like it was missing the unique/special factor.

I am rating Brick Oven 2 stars simply due to the service! We have been eating at brick oven for years and actually found it in Kauai and completely happy when they opened on Oahu however the service sucks! It seems like it's ran by a bunch of kids and very unorganized. We decided to try the buffet yesterday and we were extremely disappointed. It took forever for the staff to bring out more pizza which was very frustrating. We asked the waiter several times for a status on more pizza and it took over 20 mins for them to bring out more food. My father ordered a beer that never made it to the table. They had two waitresses for the entire restaurant AND it was buffet night. I would suggest that they staff up and perhaps have someone with more experience manage the staff!

Popped into Brick Oven Pizza with a friend, and was happy we did!! Overall the food was delicious and the service was good too. I really liked the variety of options, salads, pastas, sandwiches, and a huge selection of pizzas!! After debating all the possibilities, we decided on Brick Oven's Super pizza with the honey wheat crust which was yummy. Although, I was bummed that the toppings on the special was too much for the crust....toppings kept sliding off and nearly into my lap. BOO!! While we were eating, the most awesome looking rootbeer float was delivered to the table next to us. I wondered if the woman would mind if I asked her for a bite? Share? No?? Hmm....I was so full, I couldn't order my own -- I just wanted one bite. Meh, I guess I'll behave myself...for now. Easy parking, great environment and awesome service!! Cool joint!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My fiancé and I always have friendly service (not saying it's anything to write home about, but you can overlook that). We usually get the supreme pizza which is So. Damn. Good. We've also made a couple of 'custom' pizzas. Bacon, pepperoni, and green peppers. They forgot the green peppers, but it was immediately fixed with ease. Order the wheat crust with butter Garlic brushed on it ( shouldn't be extra charge).i know they also have gluten free crust, but limited sizing and not sure how uncontaminated it is. Overall, perfect pizza to take home, have a movie night and cuddle up on the couch!

Monday night. Buffet night. $16 per person. 5pm - 9pm First, we get here and there's only one pizza out. Slowly, more pizzas come out. The pepperoni was good. The rest was mediocre. The clam chowder is runny like chicken broth. Subway has better clam chowder. How is that possible? The chicken wings was a hit for the kids. But I guess you can't go wrong with wings. There was also a small yet decent salad bar. And a pasta station, that was also mediocre. Total bill for myself and two teenagers $59. Will we return??? Absolutely not worth the money I just forked out. So the answer is NO!!!!

OMG I love the Garlic Cheese bread! It's so amazing, the best I've ever had. Way better than the ones at Bucca Di Beppo. As soon as you bite into it, you get the crunch from the bread, the there's the chewy and stringy cheesy goodness and finally the softness from the bread. I could've eaten the entire basket if I wasn't full. Ordered the Medium Pizza with a bacon topping with a cup of soup special. It feeds two and each person can get a soup or salad. I should've stuck only with this because with the garlic bread, I had enough left over pizza for dinner too. I have to say that service was awsome! It was my second time within a couple of years (I'm a Townie) that I've been to BOP, so I had a ton of questions. Our waitress Moriah was very patient and informative when we asked her. She was sure to check-up on us and refill our soft-drinks. I wish there were more servers like her in the world. Now, the pizza. To be honest, the pizza was okay, yet I only had a bacon and cheese topping...so I don't think I had the total pizza experience. I'll be sure to try their house special the next time I'm on that side of the island. Overall, great place, just too far for me as a townie.

Disappointed went to eat dinner tonight and they were closed. According to the sign on the door they were closed for general cleaning on Tuesday's. Well they need to update their Yelp page. No bueno!

Kapolei is filled with mini secrets! I must say though, it's gone through some major changes and renovation all over the town & when they said this was going to be the up & coming new city to be at, they were not kidding! Because I'm a townie, heading to the "West" side of the island is always like an adventure...why? because town has it all, but not this kind of pizza... Both times i've been to this place, unfortunately is always ehh okay service. Waited for about 10 mins for water or to be even greeted... but this is where it gets good... The pizza~ ohh that pizza! what makes this place different than ordering from any other place is they offer wheat crust, which in my opinion is delicious! makes the crust a little bit more harder than normal with that extra crisp. plus they offer garlic butter to top off your crust... and let me tell you, garlic is delicious always, butter makes everything always taste good & when you combine the two...it's over! Only other thing we tried was the wings which is saucey... with the right amount of zing. So if you're on an adventure on the west side, feeling pizza but town is too far, have no fear... brick oven pizza is there!

Went out for a late lunch on a hot summer day. Was in the Kapolei area and unconsciously stopped nearby the Brick Oven Pizza and decided that's where I was going to have lunch. At first I thought it was closed while looking through the dark glass walls thinking nobody was inside but as soon as I opened the door there were several customers sitting further back where the eye could see from upfront. Got seated quickly and saw that it was already Happy Hour...2:00pm. PERFECT!!! I'll get to save money and try all sorts of dishes. As soon as I opened the menu I asked the Waitress if they had a separate "Happy Hour Menu" because I couldn't find it. She told me it was on page 2. Yup...a tiny list of foods for slightly less than regular price (but not 50% off). The small list of dishes didn't disappoint considering they had dishes like Tofu (Kim Chee, Furikake, and green onion), Bruschetta, Chicken Wings, Wings Trio, Steamed Clams, and even Calamari. I decided to just have the Lunch Special which was the Alfredo and Salad. Surprisingly, the (garden) green salad was really good. The greens were clean, crisp, and perfectly chilled while the tomatoes were perky and sweet. I never LOVED a simple green salad so much!!! On the other hand, the Alfredo was about a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Milky, creamy, flavorful...and a little too watered down (probably from the freshly cooked noodles). Had to double tap the Black Pepper to give it more of a boost of flavor. Still, it wasn't sooooo bad. I've tasted worst elsewhere! Service was nice. Friendly, smiling, attentive, and never was left with an empty beverage cup on the table. Ambiance and atmosphere is very inviting and this is definitely a place you'd take your friends out after work for a beer or two. I can only imagine what that would be like during after work hours and weekday/weekend evenings. So if you're on the west side of O'ahu and wanna try different and in the mood for some Pizza, Pupus, Beers, etc...stop by the Brick Oven and give it a shot!

Me and my girlfriends come here to get together. It can get pretty noisy and crowded so sometimes it's hard to talk. They not have a buffet on Mondays-Thursdays which I have not yet tried. There is also a bar which is now open until 2 AM. We usually get the following when we come here: -Calamari with marinara sauce. Crispy and tasty. They shohld give two little cups of marinara sauce instead of one. -Chicken wings: can't go wrong. Good with ranch. -UltiMEAT pizza. If you are a meatlovers fan, you should try it. You can choose between white or wheat bread which is nice. Garlic butter in the crust is delicious, which it was more garlic tasting. A small pan can feed 3-4 people depending on appetites. -Snickers pizza. Sweet treat for dessert. Too much bread for the crust. I would recommend if they could offer a side of chocolate or caramel syrup to dip the bread. They have monthly specials pizzas which is good to try. A few weeks ago the special was a pulled pork with pineapple pizza. It was delicious!

This is difficult to write because I met the owner as he sat us and was a very nice guy. I wished he was around at the end so I could have shared my thoughts with him. Let me say that the pizza was outstanding! We had their Super combo and their Hawaiian where both had the best crusts I have had. If we had only had the pizza it would easily be a 5 star review. Here is why I am giving them 3 stars. The calamari was embarrassing as they were small in size and portion. They were sort of like little crunchies you get at Long John Silvers. What was even worse was that they were served with cocktail sauce instead of their delicious pizza sauce or marinara which they have in their kitchen. I informed the waitress, who was friendly, that the calamari was a disappointment. She said she would tell and get the owner for me. After I get the bill, which I was charged for the calamari, I waited and waited until I had to ask her where he was. It was only then she told me he must have gone to their other location! Ugh, really??!! I hope to return and change my review because overall the pizza was again excellent. I just feel that the supporting menu and service should be better! Slightly disappointed because I want Brick Oven to be better. I was telling the owner that we have gone to the original which is located in Kauai many years ago and enjoyed our experience there. Not our first time to this location but they need some improvements.

Stopped by Brick Oven Pizza before taking our Son to the movies. This restaurant is located next to the Kapolei Transit Bus term is and across of the Kapolei theaters. Right when we walked in we were instantly greeted and seated. Our server was very attentive. Oh yeah, they have smoked meat here! (My favorite dish of all time). I opted out for the Kalaheo smoked meat with guava glaze. My husband chose the chicken wings and we got a basket of garlic bread for our little one. I'm glad that there selection isn't just limited to pizza and pasta hence the name "Brick Oven Pizza". It was nice to see my favorite local dish on the menu as well as other items. There smoked meat was delicious. Very succulent with onions and the delicious guava glaze. My husband enjoyed the chicken wings and so did my Son. 5 stars for the food. How can I forget?! 5 stars for the service too! Our server checked on us periodically and always asked us if we needed anything. She was very nice and accommodating. I plan to come back here again.

I think that this is the best pizza place on the west side. We always get the super pizza. The wings are also a great option. I would give a fourth star but they need to expand the bar and add more local brews...maybe another tap? Why wouldn't you carry the entire line up from Kona Brewing Company to go with such tasty food?

The pizza was delicious! I normally don't like thin crust but I was in heaven! The cheese has so much flavor and the crust was perfect. Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside(: The only downside was the service :( BOO! Took over ten minutes after we were seated for our waiter to come get our drink order. Then what seemed like forever for him to come back and take our food order. We got our appetizer AFTER our pizza came out...I think our waiter may have forgot. BUT the pizza was so good that we will give them the benefit of the doubt and will definitely be back again(:

Not too bad, a little pricey. The oysters aren't cooked they are raw. Service was OK, I can't stand when my water gets empty and that happened twice but it was a little crowded however it seemed like they had a lot of servers in the back or by the register. Their chicken pasta, Cesar salad and buffalo wings were GREAT! Kinda pricey , I may try somewhere else unless I'm craving wings. They bread was delishhhhhhhh though!

I love that this place is so close to home. A lot of people have good things to say about brick oven but there are are some downfalls. From my experience the food is great. I love their oysters on the half shell, steamed clams and their smoked meat both are on my list of favorites. The pizza is good too, my family &i usually get mushroom &sausage pizza. Their happy hour is daily from 2-6pm I believe. The one thing I would suggest to the workers, I know we all have irritable customers or rants that we need to vent to our co-workers. Buut, if your gonna talk about your customers, do it where they can't see you. (= This isn't all of the workers for the record, just a select couple. But that doesn't keep me away.

I've been wanting to go eat at a brick oven pizza place like the ones they have in mainland and today I tried this place. The pizza was pretty average. We ordered two pizzas one with white crust and the other with wheat. I wouldn't recommend the wheat unless you like "soft" crusted pizzas. The service was good. The place had 1 person responsible for each duty, one seater, one waiter, one cleaner. I kinda felt bad for my waitress, or should I say the only waitress, she had to wait on everyone's order and table. That must be overwhelming on a busy Sunday! The atmposphere was live and vibrant, had a bar and big screen tvs. It's a bit pricey, (I've added some pictures of their menu/pricing). The place was clean, and felt like a pizza joint. My overall experience was good but I didn't leave the place feeling like "wow, that was da shit" in mainland the brick oven pizza places would make you leave saying things like that! No joke.

Service and pizza was great, calamari was laughable! Our waiter was great although seemed in a rush most of the time. The appetizers took quite a while to come out but the oysters on a half shell were the best I've had on the island. I just can't believe how skimpy the calamari is...WTF?!

One star for food and another star for how fast the food came out. Came here on a Saturday for Happy hour (2pm-6pm). We were immediately seated and given menus. My server was not very friendly and seemed rushed. I asked him what was a better or more popular alcoholic drink from the happy hour menu, and he couldn't give me an answer. He just seemed disengaged. I just decided to order the Strawberry Margarita ($5-6). The margarita was one of the better tasting ones that I had, but it was nothing spectacular. My boyfriend and I ordered: Half dozen oysters -$10 (happy hour price): Can't tell you how they were because we never received them. Trio wings- $10 (happy hour price): The wings came out pipping hot and they were very big. The trio came out with bbq, buffalo, and teriyaki. The boyfriend liked the bbq the best and I liked the buffalo one. Medium Super Pizza ($24-25): Pizza was delicious. It came out hot and cheese oozed when we pulled off a slice. The pizza was topped with olives, salami, bell pepper, portuguese sausage, lean beef, and pepperoni. I was a little skeptical of the portuguese sausage, but it worked well on the pizza. We finished our meal and waited over 30 minutes for our check. Our server walked by our table at least ten times and he STILL did not come by to check on us. We were also sitting right in front of the cash register which had four servers and none of them even acknowledged us. They were ALL trying to figure out how to clock in. Seriously. Anyways, our server FINALLY came by and gave us our check with the oysters on that he forgot to bring us. It took him another 10 minutes to come by to pick up the check. We told him that he forgot to bring us the oysters and he gave us a half smile and said "oh ya I forgot about them." We finished our meal faster than it took for us to get our check and leave. Might give this place another chance considering the food was great, but unfortunately the service was not good.

My second favorite place for clam chowder! Pizza is pretty good I think they actually use brick ovens to make pizza (I gotta check again lol) the crust is great but I miss alternative crusts. Friendly service, air conditioning, cute bar.

A must try if you're in the area, they serve other entrees besides pizza so that's what makes this place a little better than Boston's pizza. Size Small pizza is perfect for 2 people really filling. Happy hour daily from 2-6pm

Why does Brick Oven Pizza have only 3 and a half stars?! This pizza place is definitely deserving of at least 4 stars. I've actually been here before with my dad a few months ago, and I've been telling my boyfriend about how good this place is- but alas! My diet is only open to so many loopholes, and I often waste it on BWW, or burgers from Kua'aina... Anyways, I finally decided to let myself have a little treat, and I wanted my boyfriend to try this place for FOREVER- so I drove us down here to finally re-experience what I once have before. We got there around 8PM, and I made the mistake of thinking they closed at 10PM, but apparently they close at 9! We were told that the wait was only 20 minutes long so we sat on the cute little benches outside. However, the host made the wrong call on how long the wait was, and around 8:25, he told us that the wait for a table would be quite a while, but the bar was open if we wanted to sit there. I, personally, hate sitting at the bar.... But I was very, VERY hungry, so I settled and made our way to the bar. Surprisingly it was pretty cozy, so I wasn't complaining at all! My boyfriend ordered a Dr. Pepper to drink, and we decided on our pizza. We got the small pizza (8 slices) with 3 toppings ($16.90): bacon, italian sausage and pepperoni (I know, it's a meat lovers pizza hehe). My boyfriend unfortunately likes white crust better, so I didn't get to choose the whole wheat. (Sad face) The wait for our food was pretty lengthy, ranging at around 25-30 minutes, but I don't blame them. They were really busy and they were cooking fresh pizzas, so how could I get upset? Anyways, when our pizza finally made it, we thought it was almost too small for the two of us. To give a general description: it was about the size of CPK's pizza (which feeds one), but surprisingly it was actually enough for my boyfriend and I. We even ended up with one slice left over! The pizza itself was crunchy: cooked to perfection! Sadly, there wasn't enough bacon on top. Almost to the point where it was non existent - but I forgave them because there was a lot of pepperoni and italian sausage, so I was pretty happy with what I got. Our waitress was also super attentive and really sweet! Checking up on us and serving us with a smile. Seriously got the vibe that she truly enjoys her job. Overall: PROS: -Pizza is to die for! -Service is definitely on it. -Good dinner place for a casual night out. CONS: -A bit pricey for the size of the pizza. -Got a 2 topping pizza for the price of a 3 topping pizza because the bacon was non-existent. Even though there were some cons to this night, I had a great time with my boyfriend and I absolutely loved the pizza! I would love to just do take out and watch a movie with my boyfriend one day. If only they were located in town, I'd be able to go all the time! However, I'm super down to make the drive out to Kapolei if it means I'll be eating their pizza once again!

Im a fan of thin crust and I absolutely loved the pizza here. The proportion of the pizza dough and toppings were just right. I didn't know the crust was whole wheat until after, but I didnt complain. Their menu was much larger than I expected, they have a wide variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, and pastas. Even lunch specials. We ordered the October special, which had a whole bunch of goodness. We got it in a large and fed 4 of us and still had left overs to take home. This was my first time here, and I can say I will definitely be back for more!

I have lived in the Kapolei area for 2yrs now, and BARELY tried this place out! You cant blame me especially if the place is hidden in the corner! It is literally next to Simply Organized, and we found it quickly. Let me tell you though, the spaghetti here is way better than The Old Spaghetti factory! and that right there is a damn shame since this is a pizza place and not really for pasta. The pizza was not bad but not that delicious either, although I loved the crust the most since you can add garlic butter to the crust! MMM... the crust was nice and crunchy, made like pizza huts pan crust but better. I am not usually a pizza crust person, but Brick Ovens is REALLY good. Customer service was really friendly, we were immediately greeted when we entered and when we left! I am glad we got to try this place at least once, but I do not think we will be back unless we want to give it another try.

Here's my perspective on this establishment, I've been here twice. Rhe staff is pretty friendly. The wait time to take the initial order was a little long. The place is small. The first time I tasted the French Dip sandwich and the Super Pizza. The pizza was delish but the sandwich was a flop: there was more bread than beef and no taste whatsoever! Two giant thumbs down!! So I decided to come again and try something else, not impressed! We had the wing trio which was just fried wings with mediocre sauces! I noticed the Happy hour prices and not happy. If you're looking for something outstanding, let me know if you tried anything but I sure as hell wasn't impressed. I totally won't come down here to try it again not even for the pizza.

Kids go crazy when we tell them we're going here. They call it "the pizza place", hence, the only place they think of when they hear pizza. They have Happy Hour drinks that ranges to $5-7 (from 2-6pm). They also have a buffet during Mondays and Thursdays, 5-9pm ($16 per person) which consists of edamame, fried chicken wings, clam chowder, red sauce spaghetti, a salad bar and a good variety of pizzas.

I never really felt the need to write a review for Brick Oven, until now. I've been here a few times and always ordered a pizza, those yummy cheese breads, and some beer. You can't go wrong with that combo. During my last visit, I decided to try some of their other items while still sticking with that pizza combo of course! Umm, WHY HAVENT I DONE THAT BEFORE? The guava smoked meat was awesome. I was a few blue moons in at this point but I decided to put some of that meat on my pizza, O-M-G. Oyster shooters? Yes please! Service is always great here. Sometimes the wait can get a little long but who really cares when you have great food?

I've heard of this place for a while now and sadly tonight was my first time here. I honestly think that this place has one of the best pizzas ive had in months. I usely go for little ceasars, dominos, pizza hut, or the regular frozen box pizzas from the store. But this place surprised me. The one thing I judge hard on the place depends on the hostess in the front. I mean the girl looked like she was new to the job but she was lacking. She told us just 15-20 mins wait. But when we noticed its been about 45 mins my friend went inside to ask. My friend noticed on the hostess board she had let a few people sit before us. Thats rude! I was hungry!!! Really! Besides that, the food was great and the waiter was very attentive. We ordered the choice of 3 toppings - spinach, bacon, and garlic. And the tangy BBQ wings as well. The pizza surprised me, and thats a really good thing. I thought the pizza was gonna be just plain jane but I loved it. Everything was on point, trust, even the wings. Ate that to the bone. We had leftovers apparently. Then we had the "aloha" cake. I thought we could finish that within minutes cause my friend loves sweets, but we had 1/3 left. We was truly satisfied from the food itself. Overall, the hostess wasnt organized which sucked but other than that, first experience here and I left happy and very well satisfied. I would definitely come back. PS: thank you to the guy who was our waiter who didnt charge us for the cake and soda. It may not be much to people but I was surprised. Ugh I wish I could of thank you personally but you was busy. See you eventually :)

This will probably be my family's new pizza joint, not because the pizza is stellar, but because the atmosphere is good. I like that they have a bar and serve beer because that is a must if you're eating pizza! The crust on their pizza is really good. It's brushed with garlic butter. The toppings are really good. We got the supreme that had Portuguese sausage. I also got the kids the Alfredo and the sauce was nice and creamy. We had a cute server by the name of Marie. She was really sweet and friendly. I also like how they have outdoor seating and TVs on the wall. Tis is a good weekend family hang out.

The pizza here is good. It's not the greatest, but it's really good. The atmosphere is fun and the service seemed pretty good (during our first visit). I've had three experiences here: The first: A lunch out with friends. Great experience. The food was good, service was good. They even brought out some raw dough for the kids to play with. Great idea!!! Second experience: I ordered take out. Two pizzas, garlic bread, wings and a salad. I didn't realize until I got home that my salad was missing. I suppose it was my fault for not checking. Since I live about 15-20 minutes away, I didn't want to go back for the salad so I called them, hoping they could just refund the salad to my card. The guy I spoke to on the phone didn't seem to believe I didn't receive a salad and said he couldn't refund it because for all he knew, I had already eaten the salad. He did say that I could come pick up another salad though, which makes no sense. I explained to him that it was already past 7pm and by the time I go back to get another salad and get back home it would be 8pm... way too late for my young children to eat their cold pizza. He suggested I have them eat it in the car. Wtf? Finally, I spoke to a manager who apologized and said to ask for him or any manager the next time we went in and he would give me my salad plus free garlic bread for the inconvenience. Third (and last) experience: Went in for a nice family lunch and explained about the salad fiasco, but I had forgotten the managers name. The server said she couldn't help me if I didn't know the manager's name. So another manager came over and I explained the situation and the guy acted all perplexed and said he couldn't help. At this point, I am contemplating leaving, but my kids love pizza so we stayed. Then I notice in their dessert menu that they have a snickers pizza, which I had never noticed before... now normally I would be all over that, yum! But my son has a life threatening peanut allergy. You can rub peanuts on him and he'll break out in terrible hives. BUT if he accidentally ingests just one peanut he goes into full blown anaphylaxis... his face, lips, and throat swell up, his blood pressure drops dangerously low, his ears swell up like sausages, he gets dark purple circles around his eyes, he starts wheezing, coughing and sneezing. Then he gets terrible stomach pains and starts to vomit. Eventually his kidneys shut down and it can be fatal. We have been incredibly lucky that an epi-pen has stopped any anaphylactic reaction he has ever had. But the scary fact is that epinephrine does not always work. Okay, so now you know the seriousness of the boy's peanut allergy. Back to the snickers pizza- I asked the server if the snickers pizza was made in the same area as the non-dessert pizzas and she looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "uh yeah, they are all made in the kitchen." So I explained that I needed my son's pizza to be made on a fresh clean board and all new utensils, gloves or whatever. And that it can not be made in the same area as the snickers pizza, because cross contamination could be fatal. She said she could not guarantee it. I said that I understood that they can't guarantee it, no one can. But I asked if they could take every precaution to help eliminate the chance of cross contamination. Just simple things like not using the same pizza cutter that may have been used on a peanut pizza. All I asked for was clean gloves (or wash hands), a fresh clean plate, and clean utensils. She went to the kitchen then said they could not do that. So, we got the pizza we already ordered, decided to take it to go instead of eating there. Of course I did not get my salad that I had already paid for. Nor had I gotten the free garlic bread. But whatever. We stopped at Safeway on the way home and got ingredients to make my son his very own allergen free pizza. The pizza at Brick Oven is good. But not so good that I can overlook their terrible customer service and complete lack of empathy and consideration for a kid with a food allergy. Yes, I know that accommodating a person with food allergies can be inconvenient but just imagine how inconvenient (and scary) it would be to actually have a food allergy. We aren't super pushy when it comes to food allergies, I would never demand that they stop serving their snickers pizza forever, all I asked is for them to take precautions to help avoid cross contamination. To help keep a little 4 year old safe. Technically he is protected by the ADA since severe food allergies are considered a disease, so them refusing to use clean utensils to make my son's food would be similar to them refusing to accommodate a patron in a wheel chair. It's rude and inconsiderate. Technically, according to the ADA, it's actually discrimination. Anyways,it's obvious that we will never go back to Brick Oven Pizza for many many reasons. And it's sad, because like I said before, the pizza is pretty darn good.

Great pizza. Staff always made sure we got what we needed, kept checking on us. I returned on a Thursday afternoon & sat at the bar area. Charles the bartender was excellant. Treated the customers with respect, sparked small talk with everyone, made suggestions on his favorite food their.

This is the only pizza place that interests me in Kapolei. My favorite is their Margherita. Only problem is that dang near everything in this place is on my doctor's "no-no" list. Erm... I wonder if he yelps.... LOL. So, I'd love to make this place a 4 or 5 star, but don't really go here enough.

I love their cheese bread! The food is amazing... but when we ate outside there is a bus stop where we had two incidents that people interrupted our dinner. It was just awkward. Other than that, the employees are nice and the place is cute.

I've only been to this location twice, once when it first opened and once recently. I have also been to a location on Kauai and I have to say I would rather fly to Kauai and eat at that Brick Oven. This place has nothing compared to the Kauai location. We went in for lunch during the week and it was fairly busy, got greeted and seated right away. Our server was pleasant in the beginning and during our stay. We only ordered a medium ultimeat pizza and a couple of drinks. I was very disappointed when the pizza arrived as it was smaller than I expected ($24 for a less than 12" pie) and the crust was very thin and flimsy. The toppings were overpowering the amount of crust. However, it did taste okay and I liked the garlic sauce they brushed on top of the crust. After we were all finished our initially pleasant server brought our closed ticket with a bit of an attitude. She did not thank us whatsoever, just a "here you go" as she handed us the checkbook. Overall, I did like the atmosphere however, I didn't think the pizza was worth the price tag and the customer service was inconsistent. I probably won't come back any time soon.

Great food! Pizza is delish. I can't explain how good it is. Also tried their wings but I was already getting full. Awesome service! They even put my leftovers in the doggy bag for me.

Finally, dine here on a saturday lunch. Daily Happy hour from 2-6pm... Ample shared free parking w/ simply organized, etc. I had a medium size half veggies half Margherita wheat dough $22 wings trio $10 and tea $6. Friendly & fast service. Food was good. Cons: Too expensive for a pizza!

Love this place! They have the best happy hours in HI! Happy hour here is from 2pm-6pm. Their drinks are refreshing and quite strong! Their Tokyo Tea is a must-try! I also loved the Wailua Mai Tai. It was made with orange, pineapple, and lime juices mixed with simple syrup and poured over ice and then topped with a dark Jamaican rum...SO GOOD! Their Mojitos are made with all fresh ingredients. The best part is the sugar they use is manufactured in their backyard! The food here is delicious! They serve pizzas and other sports bar foods here. My party and I ordered the Teriyaki Hot Wings...very delicious! It was sweet and spicy, like teriyaki flavors should be. The cheese bread was piping hot out of the oven...french bread toasted with garlic butter and then loaded up with mozzarella cheese. It had brought back memories of my childhood as I would come home from school and make cheese pizzas out of french bread. I think my favorite dish were the mussels. I'm a BIG fan of mussels with garlic, butter, and white wine and this dish just made me ONE of the happiest person in the restaurant! The restaurant was very clean. The staff was very friendly and polite and the service was quick. I mean we had our food under 30 minutes and the drinks just kept coming! If I ever go back to Oahu, I am definitely revisiting this spot and for you guys traveling to Oahu, I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it!!

Now that I have been doubly disappointed once by the quality of a place I've been going to on Kauai for years now the customer service is worse than the food could ever get. I emailed the owner about the quality at this location because of the fact that I grew up on Kauai and the quality at this location is a joke compared to what the previous owners put out. He apologized and accomadted a replacement for the pizza that was over cooked with no toppings! That is before he saw my yelp review! After seeing my yelp review he emailed me again saying he will no longer be accomadating this?!??! Are you kidding! This is so sad for a local company. So they won't correct an unhappy customer because of my opinion which is the reason you were trying to correct the problem in the first place. Two wrongs / definitely don't make this right. Horrible customer service! This company has no idea what it is to give customer service!

  • Sara S.

Let's just say I'm very disappointed. Customer service wasn't great, she took forever to greet us, I never got her name, and she only checked on us once. Keep in mind that it wasn't very busy. We ordered a pizza, Alfredo pasta, and clam chowder. Clam chowder was really good honestly, I have no complaints on that. The Alfredo pasta would've been okay if it wasn't drowned in Alfredo sauce and garlic. The pizza had too much cheese it drowned the whole pizza! Their bread was really good tho. I will probably not go here again, I feel like I could spend less money on better pizza at Pizza Hut.

Wifi access, tasty food, lots of selection, nice atmosphere, reasonable price, great service. Would have given a five star however, love my coffee but not re-refillable. You don't mess with my coffee. All in all, good experience.

Very good pizza ! Not as good as Pizza Hut of course but it's in a close second. Also inside is very nice c: it has a bar. A lot of families were there around 1 pm on a Friday. The calamari was spectacular! Highly recommended. Oh and the staff there were very friendly and the food comes to you pretty darn fast.

Tonight was great ! Me and the wifey am in to have some dinner. A couple beers and to enjoy the tv's that are all around the restaurant . (Stacen K) was our server and his work ethic was simply..."Immaculate" his educate skills are far beyond up to par and he carries himself as a server very well ! His approach to the guest is very welcoming and to me he is a worker that works efficiently ! Thank for having us and making our night very enjoyable ! We will be coming in often now that we're off on Sundays ! Mahalo "Brick Oven Pizza" of Kapolei for the great service !!! Thank you and ALOHA !!

I dined here on a Saturday night with a friend. Noticing the packed house, we requested to sit outside. The hostess and server were both apologetic about the lack of outdoor lighting - apparently their lamps were stolen. Fortunately, enough light from inside the restaurant spilled out onto our outdoor table, so we could still see the menu. The server also kindly removed the folded outdoor umbrella at our table to make room for us. We ordered a medium pizza (10") with the two-topping option. I was delighted that each of us could pick two toppings on each side - we chose pepperoni and extra cheese on one half, and basil and chicken on the other. The thin crust was consistent, and the brushed-on garlic butter gave it an extra, flavorful punch. The sauce, however, had a strange taste. I couldn't quite put my finger on it; perhaps it was sweeter than I was used to. Otherwise, the pizza was delicious! Admittedly, I liked the side with the extra cheese a bit more. I may have given Brick Oven Pizza four stars had it not been for the unusually long wait for our tab. At this point, the restaurant was emptying out, so the ball was dropped here. My friend had to find our server inside to ask for it. The name of the restaurant is also a bit misleading, since there is no brick oven in the kitchen. However, I understand the original Kauai location does. I plan to check it out the next time I'm on Kauai. All in all, great customer service and delicious pizza, save for a few minor missteps.

Pizza was awesome! Staff was friendly! Restaurant appeared clean...Wait time...... it kinda took a while but hey.... its pizza! First time here I came in with 6 adults and 6 kids.... they were accommodating and everything went by smoothly. I understand the wait.... we ordered 3 large pizza's and because it was delicious.... it wasn't enough. A bit on the pricey side for pizza but the quality of the crust was worth it. I liked that they were able to split the bill at the end. We split it into 2 and they had no troubles doing that for us. I'd come here again...........but leaving the kids at home.

We used to fly to Kauai to get this pizza. So happy it is in Kapolei! The buffet is $16 adult and $10 for kids...better off buying pizzas unless each person can eat an entire pizza.

Service slow...but we got an awesome server so that makes up for the long wait...salad is garden fresh & pizza onolicious! But they seriously need more workers or something, they all on the go but just can't keep up with the tables. The table next to is the same way...their soup came after they were pau??? Hubby said not worth the wait for the price!

My friend and I shared the mozzarella garlic bread, and a medium sized Super/Margherita pizza. We both liked how the garlic bread came with marinara sauce, and how the bread itself had sesame seeds on it. The pizza was great. Definitely worth the drive out. The server asked if we want butter on the outer crust, and that turned out to be the best thing ever lol. I cannot give 5 stars because the mojito and Long Island Ice Tea we got were just okay. I would still highly recommend, and cannot wait to go back.

The food was pretty good, a friend and I previously had lunch here awhile back and and at that time they had these oyster shooters and oyster appetizers. Weird for a pizza place to have oysters in the menu, but it worked. We liked it enough to come back for more, however on this recent visit we were disappointed to learn that there were no oysters available since early January. So we settled for some hot wings. And by hot wings I mean fried chicken wings semi tossed in hot sauce. We decided to make our pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, sausage and Alfredo sauce. I was kind of skeptical about this Alfredo sauce but it actually tasted pretty good. It became happy hour while we were dining so boom! Cheap cocktails! $4 for a Tokyo tea and a good buzz why not?? My friend who doesn't drink wanted to try the "snickers" pizza. Yup snickers pizza..that was uhm, interesting. Not interesting enough for us to get again though. I'm coming back for those happy hour specials and in hopes that oysters are back too!

Great fast friendly service! The pizza came out perfect! The ingredients tasted fresh and the crust was crispy and soft. We ordered 1 large pizza and ordered created our own half & half. It was a little noisy in the Restraunt but it was about 5:30 and it looked like there were a lot of people there for after work drinks. (Plus it was game 7 of the World Series. GO GIANTS!) we will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

I've heard of this place, but it's sooooo far from town. But I was able to check this place out after The Color Run this past weekend and thought it was good! I loved my soup, veggie pizza, and the coke float I got. (Although I asked for a small coke float, and I got a pretty huge cup. LoL) I don't think I'll be back anytime soon since it's pretty far from town, but I'll keep it in mind so that the next time I"m out that way, I can have yummy pizza again.

I never knew that there was such place that existed. Well thats what happens when we hang out with west siders and take an adventure at the water park. My first time here was pretty swell. We came with a group of about 12 people and we got seated promptly. It was about 4 o clock pm so it wasnt too busy. I was surprised that I actually knew the hostess from my old job! Anyway, back to the restaurant right ? We got our drinks, waters all around amd some soda. I got lemonade which was fountain and I wish I knew it but I didnt, so I didnt like it. Food : we ordered italian wedding soup- it was okay. Kinda tastes like it came from a can. The bacon pupu pizza was really good. It was just pizza dough with some cheese and served with marinara and ranch. We also got a wing trio (buffalo, teriyako, and bbq) very good. The wings were pretty big and I think it had 15 pieces. It was all gone In a few seconds. We had steamed clams which was very very good. I think it was cooked with butter garlic and wine. We kept dipping the pupu pizza in the clam sauce. Also ordered a fettucine and a spaghetti which I had no complaints about. It was simple and basic and yummy Service was good as well.

Went there for a quick bite with a girlfriend. Let me start by saying I'm not too much of a pizza persons so I was really looking forward to their appetizers. On that note there calamari rings and cheese bread were absolutely delicious!! The service was great our server was very quick in bringing out our food, checked in is regularly and most importantly did everything with a smile. Lol Definitely would come back here.

Five big stars! For me, it's partly nostalgic from Brick Oven being from Kauai. Identical pizza as I remember. I rate here one of the best pizzas on the island. Otherwise, what else got? Pizza Hut? Kahunas? Sorry, Emilio's closed down. This is the shinzit! Come n enjoy!

There's an old saying: "If you're good at something, you tell everyone. If you're great at something, people tell you." This totally applies to Brick Oven Pizza, and the Hawaiian cliche "broke da mouth." Brick Oven Pizza, being a "good" pizza joint, loves to advertise how its pizza "broke da mouth." It's a nod to all the locals who overuse the phrase to the point it no longer has any real meaning. It's not a "bad" marketing ploy, but the thing is, you aren't supposed to tell me your pizza broke da mouth. I'm supposed to tell YOU that. Is the pizza that good? Not really. We're keen on the price, the service, the atmosphere, and consistency and will agree the pizza is generally tasty. But is it anything unique? Is it anything special? Not at all. Brick Oven boasts about the option to order the crust slathered with garlic butter, because that's what gives it such a great flavor. The issue is, much like the "broke da mouth" cliche, the whole garlic butter crust gimmick has been beaten dry. In fact if you type garlic butter crust into Google, it'll give you 1.8 million hits. A pizza place advertising it has garlic butter crust is like proclaiming it has napkins and red checkered table cloths. Pointless. Overall a solid pizza joint. Just needs a bit of work on the marketing.

We have gone on ocassion over the years. when we wanted a good pizza. They also offer wheat dough, good for those needing to eat healthy. Today though they bombed the take out order. Got the toppings wrong, did essentially nothing to compensate for this. Also salad portion was small and only spinich (no lettuce). Notice this place is less and less busy...heading downhill in food quality and service, which is not good as they are fairly pricey.

We came in around 430 for an early dinner and sat down right away. Picked the seat facing enormous tv with Angels /Mariners game, SCORE! It was happy hour so we ordered some drinks and the calamari. Don't order the calamari! It was burnt crispy pieces and hardly any of them for $8. The dipping sauce was really good. I did like dipping the charred pieces in it. Ordered the barbecue chicken pizza which they messed up on and put marinara sauce so the waiter brought us the 'mistake' pizza and had another one being made. Thought that was cool! Also ordered the ultimate meats pizza on the wheat dough. I really liked the flavor! Very tasty and loved the crust too. Best thing was the Moscow mule! Came in the traditional copper cup that keep it ice cold. Would come again with friends!

Got to try a bunch of everything here and I was pleasantly surprised. Had the wing trio which was a little pricey but I thought was delicious. Had 1/2 a super pizza and a meat one and I enjoyed the meat side. My brother and friend seemed to enjoy the super pizza but I'm not a big fan of vegetables on my pizza. Overall this place was good and fun to watch a football game at. Watched the playoff games this past Saturday and they didn't rush us to get out and continued to serve us with a smile. I'll definitely be back here for future sporting events. It's a little expensive to come too often but too good to never come back.

Meh, not a fan. I've been putting off writing this review with the hopes Brick Oven Pizza would improve on their food and service. Since there are mixed reviews, I'm guessing this place is a hit or miss. Unfortunately, it sucks to be me because every time I've been there the food has been blah and the service was seriously lacking. The first time I ate here was for lunch. When we walked in, there was nobody to greet us. Since the restaurant wasn't busy we weren't sure if we were to seat ourselves or wait to be seated so we stood there for a few minutes. A waitress caught my eye and pointed to a table, in case you didn't know, this is universal sign language for "sit". There were no menus nor utensils on the table. We assumed the waitress was going to bring it to us, hopefully soon. After a couple of minutes a waiter came over and asked for our order. He sounded out of breath like he just finished running a marathon. We explained to him we hadn't seen the menu yet. He brought us the menus and while I was in the middle of opening it says, "what do you want to order?". Say whuutt? I haven't even looked at it yet. We asked him for a few mins and asked him to bring us water, drinks and silverware while we looked at the menu. He comes back a few mins later with water minus the drinks and silverware. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the Pupu Bacon appetizer. My friend ordered the Spaghetti with a veggie salad, and my other friend ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Pizza. We asked him for our drinks, silverware and napkins at the same time we ordered. As we're waiting for our food, I notice our waiter seemed frazzled. I'm thinking this must be his first day, poor guy. He's making himself choke and he's only serving 3 tables that I can see. My friend gets her salad, still no silverware nor drinks. Before she could asks our waiter for utensils or drinks, he rushes off. My friend asked a waitress to bring us utensils and our drinks and was handed a fork. Everybody's meal comes out except for my appetizer. I ask the waiter and was told that it's in the oven and will be a couple of mins. After a couple of mins, I'm still not getting my app. I ask the waiter again and he looks startled, like he forgot to place my order but I'm only assuming which isn't fair. He tells me it's in the oven. I point out he told me that 10 mins ago and how does a large pizza make it to the table before an app does. I seriously sat there for another 10 mins and still didn't get my app. I got up to complain to a waitress and she starts yelling at the waiter who is looking in the oven. She tells me it's coming. It doesn't. By this time. My friends had finished eating their food. So I get up and tell the waiter to cancel my app and he tells me I can't because it's in the oven. I point out that everyone is finished eating and an app should be at the table before the main course. He asks me if I'm sure I want to cancel. Huh? Yes, I'm sure. He came over to our table to box up the pizza my friend didn't finish and tells me that he will take the app off the ticket. Well, I sure hope so since it never made it to the table. The second time, we went there I ordered the BBQ chicken wings. It had no flavor. Tasted like it was boiled and then sauce dumped over it. I could make better chicken wings. We also had the super pizza which wasn't great. Our waitress was always on her cell phone. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think your cell phone should be on you while waitressing. The third time here, I really didn't want to but I have elderly neighbors who invited me to lunch and this is where they wanted to go. I told them it wasn't the best pizza but they wanted to try something new. We ordered the spinach and garlic pizza. Thank goodness they were good, we opted to take out instead of dining in. In my opinion, this place is over rated as a pizza parlor. First the pizza prices will take a big chunk out of your mortgage. $30 plus dollars for a large pizza? My oinker dad could eat that whole thing by himslef. The food is nothing special. On a positive note, this is a good place to meet friends, sit at the bar and have a few drinks. The bartenders are friendly and engaging. Not that I've been there a lot but they'll remember you and how you like your drinks. I might give this place another try for food but for now, I'll stick to meeting my friends for drinks.

Food was great and prices reasonable. The service was attentive and friendly. We had the clam steamers - fresh clams with delicious broth. Then had pizza as a main dish. You get a choice of wheat or white; the sauce - marinara, pesto, garlic butter, EVOO, Alfredo; topping choices were plentiful. The crust was crispy and just chewy enough and as a whole, the pizza tasted close to what we have when we visit New York. But hey, it's Hawaii so close is good enough!

  • Tyler Y.

For some reason I was all excited about trying the pizza here, but I don't think I'll be coming back. The prices are okay. The service was okay. I don't know our server's name (she's Asian and was wearing a red watch), but I feel like she was the only one hustling and bustling between the other two servers. It took a while for someone to just ask if we wanted something to drink.. :( Lastly, the pizza is just okay. Nice and crispy but I don't get the hype of the whole "brick-oven" thing. I'll just stick to Digornio frozen pizza for now.

Great pizza place! Been looking for a good pizza on the island that's not a huge chain and finally found it tonight. Excellent appetizers too. Definitely making this place my go-to for future pizza here on Oahu.

Been here a couple times and I really, really like their pizza. Granted I'm partial to hearty pizzas filled with lots of pizza sauce and topped with tons of cured meats, but it's one of the few places on island that makes pizza this way. Dunno what that's all about. Maybe it's an East-coast, West-coast pizza thing. At this place, you can pick the size of the pizza, the crust and the toppings, which makes ordering a little different than other places and takes a little longer. I generally go for the pepperoni, onions and olives and sausage. If you can't decide they offer a couple pre-set pizza. I've ordered the super pizza before and it's pretty tasty too. The are other items on the menu other than pizza, but I like to stick to what places are known for. Sizes are about average. I think a medium pizza is enough for two, but then again, I'm a big eater...especially when it comes to pizza. The crust is pretty standard, but the garlic butter sauce is to die for. Good thing I don't live too close by otherwise I'd die of a heart attack with all the butter sauce I'd be downing all the time. The reason the place loses a star is because of it's service. The wait staff isn't the fastest and it's a long wait for food to come out. BUT, the food is great and for me, it makes up for the other areas that are lacking.

My boyfriend and I love this place! We always sit at the bar, so I don't have any input about the table service, but I can definitely say the bar service is excellent. The head bar tender there is the best! He's so friendly and very attentive! He remembered me and my boyfriend after just our first visit and always greets us like regulars. He definitely makes the experience. Try the steamed clams and the Margherita pizza! So good!

It was super busy on a saturday around 5:30pm We did a take out...good thing because we would have waited much longer. Had the vegetarian (large $32.75) which was topped with homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella, zucchini, mushrooms, black olives, green onions, and bell peppers. Also had the Brick Oven's super pizza (large $32.75) which was topped with a combination of their homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, , mushrooms, black olives, Italian sausage, seasoned lean beef, Portuguese sausage, smoked ham, green onions, and bell peppers. Both pizzas were well topped and DELICIOUS!!! Although the caesar salad came with anchovies, it was just ok for me. This place is pricey but if you want a good pizza, you have to pay the $$$.

3 star only because food is always good, I'm not such a harsh person but when I arrived to this location in Kapolei I noticed there are NO TRASH CANS anywhere to be found in parking lot so that sucks. As for the brick oven pizza, again food is not the issue. THE SERVICE I can understand it's a busy place specially because this weekend is mother's day but when I order my pizza and ask for ranch sauce I would think it's as easy to go get it lol and not see waitress going to seat someone else and take orders, she didn't get our soybeans till we finished our pizza which had to remind about the order in begining. What really topped it though was when I sent my card to pay the bill she returned bill with no pen .. are you flipping kidding me? How can you not notice hey there's no one how am I to pay you. Lol... All in all I liked kaneohe location, food is awesone. It just the service that can kick it...

Stopped in to satisfy an annoying craving my husband had from growing up on the original Kalaheo brick oven on Kauai. I dropped in to place a take out order while he and baby waited in the car but when I got inside I found out it was happy hour! I only had one kid w me so I convinced him to come in. I think the sign said happy hour all day during the week and from 2-6 on the weekends. So today is Sunday and 2:00--yay! I'm a lightweight so I just ordered a margarita for $5. They had other drinks on special like mojito, Long Island, and some others. I think a pitcher of beer was $10. Girls working there were all very nice and helpful. Service was relatively quick. Worst part is how expensive their pizzas are- I don't get why either. A small supreme like pizza was $17 and came with maybe 8 slices-- if you even want to call them that since a couple were really just a sliver. The pizza was more like a personal pizza from Pizza Hut. I ordered the $10 lunch special : choice of sandwich (veggie) and cup of corn chowder. My order was yummy! Our 1.5 yo ordered the kids spaghetti. For $7 it wasn't much of a kids meal. She enjoyed it. My only complaint are the ridiculously high prices. Fortunately food and service were good. They have a buffet twice a week but I'm not Sure how much that costs. I'm sure we'll go back if my husband "craves" it again... Prob in the next 3-6 months :p

A group of us went in for dinner on a Tuesday night. The hostess seated us quickly, but afterwards the service went straight downhill. It took over 10 minutes for our server to take our drink order, then we never saw him again the rest of the night. The drinks took almost 20 minutes, two of which came out wrong, but they were followed quickly by the pizzas and appetizer. Oh yea, they came at the same time. In the hour plus we were there, no one stopped by to ask about the food or offer refills. I had to go to another server to ask for the check. If i were grading just on the quality of the food, it easily a 4.5 star place, because although the pizzas were outstanding, the calamari wasn't good. Unfortunately, the awful service brings the score way down, and makes me question whether it's worth it. This may be a call ahead and carry out only kind of place.

First time. Great service! Good food! Got the Hawaiian Bbq pizza, cheesy bread, hot wings, & bbq wings all very tasty and fresh. It was noisy and cold inside so we asked to sit outside. It was a beautiful night and it was much nicer and relaxing. They even gave our kids bread dough to play with like play dough while we waited.

Originally from Kauai where Brick Oven all began. Food is as good as I remember it (some years ago) so it brings back some of those good old memories but I have to agree with most of the other reviews on the point of service. They're a very friendly staff, they just might need more of them.

This pizza parlor has a buffet Monday's and Thursday's. Buffet line is always empty! Why even have a buffet if you can't put food out fast enough. They also need a light for their salad bar, you can't even see what your grabbing. Never coming back here! Better off going Chuckie Cheese

Arrived at 2:30 to an uncrowded restaurant thinking service for our party of 8 should be decent. Our food came in a timely manner except for 2 alfredo meals. They said it was coming out, we were still waiting until our party was more than half way through their meals. Then another waiter brings out just one order with no explanation of the 2nd, except "sorry." Great food, but bad service. Even our waters stopped being refilled. They did comp one meal....really?!

Came at lunch (noon)....there was NO ONE except us. Workers were all "busy" talking story or doing this and that not even caring about us or checking on us. When the waitress came to take our order she rushed us. Didn't even make eye contact and seemed annoyed. We both got lunch specials (if you want to call it that). Sandwich and salad/soup. Soup and the salad came out rather quick but not our entrees those took too long for there being no one in the restaurant. Sorry to say sandwich was tasteless and just so dry (chicken and French dip). Cost was $21.....we won't be back as a combo of service and quality of food was just pretty poor.

I love pizza. Like loveeeeeeeeee pizza. Living in Hawaii is a pizza lovers nightmare...as nothing out here even compares to any mom and pop pizza joint on the mainland. However, I go to brickoven not for there pizza but for their staff and their other dishes. First off the pizza is pretty much terrible....now if you don't know any better ie. You compare brickoven to pizza Hut or dominoes etc...then brickoven is a step above...but definitely not for the price...this pizza is wayyyyyyy overpriced for what you get...they could take all the different combo whatever half halfy stuff and just make a good cheese slice, offer it at a lower price, and I'd love it. The dough is just not good no matter which way you slice it...I wish it were thinner and flatter because it's just too much dough...it's like the pizza doesn't know if it's a slice or a casserole. However, I've been to their buffet and really enjoyed it...and the service is kick a$$. If you get the chance just eat outside...as the inside is a design nightmare, they should plaster that place with local high school sports gear...as it's pretty much within the area of 4 high schools...bartenders are really nice and the servers are top shelf. I'll put it to you like this...we go here to meet for a couple beers and have some wings...if they a made a great slice...id live at this place.

One star for their clam chowder. One star for the fact that our drink orders came out in a timely manner upon sitting down. Other than that, this place has horribly slow service. The people here are very forgetful which is difficult to understand. The pizza itself is. . . not good. I don't know what it is in addition to the massive oil pockets and oily crust...but there is something more. An added note: they don't advertise their happy hour very well. I happened to see a sign posted by the bar halfway through my meal. My meal was at 2:45 PM. Their happy hour starts at 2 PM.

This pizza is the best Pizza I've ever eaten!!! There is something about they way they make their pizza sauce. It's amazing! They got their crust down!!! You have to try it, I can't explain it but it has this savory flavor.. Goodness!!! I always get the JP, it's a Whole wheat pizza with green peppers and salami. *Note, the only warning I'll give is to not get their mushrooms. I think they use canned mushrooms, it's not good.

Great place for pizza! I am pretty cheap, so I thought $16 for a 10" specialty pizza was pretty up there. However, it did fill me up. I liked the Alfredo pasta ($9) and only $.80 to add chicken or any other topping! Lots of chicken included and the sauce was up to par :] One of the better chicken alfredos I have had in the past, and I am pretty critical on the alfredo realm. Not my normal favorite fettucini noodle, but the spaghetti noodle made it just as good :D The waitress we had was pretty great too. I left my empty root beer out for a refill, and just as I was wondering when I was gonna get that refill, she comes up with a new cup of it. YESSSS :D Both the pizza and pasta was very filling for two people. Worth a try!

After snorkeling at Makaha Beach for 3 hours my boyfriend and I were hungryyy! Remembering there was this location we decided to come for lunch. We have been to the Kaneohe location and have loved the pizza there. Never disappointed. The bread is delicious, and the toppings just right. We debated on getting a pizza, but since we have ordered pizzas before, decided to each get a "Super" Sandwich ($10). I had mine with added black olives and artichoke hearts (add on toppings $1 each). We got our sandwiches and I was so disappointed- nothing "Super" about them. They were tiny, maybe one tiny slice of each meat, and the toppings were non existent. The bread was tasty. I could have complained, but my BF planned the date day and I didn't want to complain or make him feel bad for our lunch choice. I think everyone in the restaurant thought I was a creeper because I kept looking at everyone's pizzas lol. Two sandwiches for $22 was just not worth it at all. Medium pizza $24 ish for 10!! Slices totally worth it. Order the pizzas!!

We sat down and the waiter rushed to our table. He asked us what we wanted to drink, and returned immediately with our drinks. He asked us if we were ready to order. We said that we had not even read the menu. He returned two minutes later to take our order. Very rushed but we persevered until he let us select our meal. We ordered the medium shrimp and garlic pizza on a whole wheat crust brushed with garlic oil. Beautiful pizza dotted with 10 small shrimp. The taste was "ono". Thought that for $23 the pizza was quite small. Looking around us I think most of the other customers could have eaten the entire pizza by her/his self! We will go back again using the 10% off coupon our waiter gave us with the bill.

Located in Kapolei, this is a place for us when we want to eat Pizza. It's open daily from 11 am to 9 pm. If you have a young child, they will give him or her a piece of dough to play with while your family waits for the oder to arrive. Try the Ultimeat Pizza (this has homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella, italian sausage, portuguese sausage, smoked ham, pepperoni, and seasoned lean beef) or Brick ovens super pizza. (this is a combination of Brick ovens homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, italian sausage, seasoned lean beef, portuguese sausage, smoked ham, green onions and green bell peppers). Besides pizza, when I'm hungry for some chicken, I'll order their appetizer of wing trio (hot wings, bbq wings and teriyaki wings) Caesar salad is delicious here too, so don't forget to order it as part of your appetizer. The Margherita pizza is so good. It has garlic butter sauce, mozzarella, tomato, minced garlic, and topped with fresh basil. Wanna combine your own toppings? Do so for three toppings which we usually do for $23.85 for a medium or $32.75 for a large. You won't regret it and you will definitely have lot's to eat.

Was craving so decided to check this place out since it's by our house. Got here at 500pm and waited about 10 min before our server came. Didn't like waiting long but at least the dude was cool. Ordered a sangria mango and pineapple which was delicious, calamari which I've had better, and the 2 choice pizza with lean beef and pineapple. I wonder how it is during happy hour? Overall I enjoyed the pizza but not the waiting for our server.

Ok so if this place is best pizza in Kauai, I hope that now that it is in Oahu, it would be pretty good. I came here with some friends. We were really hungry and excited to try this place. When we came here it was really hot here. They need a fan or AC in here. They just opened the door. Honestly it's ok with me as long as no flies. Service is slow. Waited too long for a seat and waited long for the pizza. At least the waitress is nice... Ok the food was decent. Supposedly everything is suppose to be home made with the brick oven right. Chicken wings were ok. Their spicy was hardly spicy. The pizza can be customized by size and styles. But honestly the pizza was ok, Would I go again, yea maybe, but its not like I have to have to go back anytime soon. Like I said before, I could make my own wings and pizza at home and be more satisfied. They should do more happy hour, drinks, game nights and specials.

This place is a little pricey for pizza but this place is a once in a while treat for us. The service is pretty decent, not the best but not the worst. I especially like how they are willing (when asked) to give my son a piece of dough to play with while we wait for our food. I like how there are TVs all over the place as well. The noise level is average and seemed fine if my son goes semi-nuts in the place. We like to order the margherita pizza with white dough and the garlic butter on the crust. We tried the one with wheat dough but it wasn't as good, nonetheless, the margherita pizza has never disappointed us.The oysters on the other hand are a disappointment. It is a little on the small side, especially for the price. That's alright, lesson learned. Again, it's a little pricey and normally we will get our pizza from papa johns, pizza hut, dominos, etc... but this is a nice treat for us.

  • Casey I.

Not too bad, q little pricey. The oysters aren't cooked they are raw. Service was OK, I can't stand when my water gets empty and that happened twice but it was a little crowded. Their chicken pasta and buffalo wings were GREAT! Kinda pricey , I may try somewhere else unless I'm crashing wings.

We stopped by this place because we needed some change for the bus. We bought a 6 inch bread with shrimp, garlic and cheese on it and a fountain drink. The food took a little while but no problem. The bread itself was okay but definitely missing something. The people work here are super nice and friendly! They were taking their time to suggest what we should order when we had no clue and also told us the bus line we needed to take. I did not try their brick oven pizza so can't really say about their food, trying one sandwich. Maybe I will try their full menu next time

As part of my quest to find the best pizza place in the Ewa / Kapolei area, I decided to give Brick Oven a try. To start off, they've got a nice interior and a large selection of sandwiches if you're not in the mood for pizza. But why would I not be in the mood for pizza? Speaking of the pizza, they've got an excellent crust and will brush it with garlic butter for a nice extra touch. Unfortunately, the crust is really the only high point. The sauce and cheese, while not bad, are decidedly average. And then there's the cost. Any way you look at it, their pizzas are on the expensive side. Which wouldn't be so bad if they also weren't so small. They have three sizes but their "large" (at somewhere around 14") would barely qualifies as a medium anywhere else. So, while I didn't dislike Brick Oven Pizza, I can't really recommend it when there are other places nearby with bigger and better pizzas for less money.

Garlic Cheese Bread was really good. We ordered a few different pizza's and they were both really good. Food was great and so was the service! My kids loved the food too but their favorite part was they were given pizza dough to play with at the table. They thought that was so cool. The next time I am in Hawaii I will eat here again.

Last time I went here (a couple weeks ago), my family had the most friendly waiter. I wish I got his name, but he was very accommodating and let us know that they were out of things in the kitchen immediately when we ordered rather than 10 minutes after (as some other places do - and that always makes me upset). He checked up on us and made sure we were good all throughout our dinner. The food was pretty good, worth four stars. If you're going for dessert, as good as the snickerdoodle pizza sounds, I would recommend getting the ice cream cake instead.

The pizza ok! But i have one question, your called brick oven pizza right , but when you look in the kitchen all i see is a normal pizza oven. Wheres your brick oven...lol maybe you got it somewhere else but i dont see a brick oven. Anyways good marketing strategy.

I like the clam chowder, clams & the Alfredo with chicken but when adding mushrooms, they add too little. The pizza is alright but it literally took an hour!!! Service is good but you get a bit grouchy when your food takes forevers!!!

Went to BOP again for the first time in about three months and it was pretty good as always. My only gripe would be that they messed up our order and gave us a supreme pizza instead of a three topping pizza. It was an upgrade, however it wasn't what we ordered. Overall though, it didn't detract from the night and the service was great so no harm no foul.

Never Again will I come here.... We waited for 20 minutes before anyone came by after we ordered our beer. We had to ask why it took so long before we finally got it. They never brought us water and there was no apology from the waiter. I ordered a second beer and asked for a take out bag and it took another 20 minutes before me and girlfriend told them to forget it, paid our bill and walked out. We woud have understood if they were super busy and understaffed, but the staff was too busy dancing and goofing off in the kitchen instead of taking care of their customers. The waiter was lucky to get a 10% tip when I felt like leaving him nothing... Go to the Outback instead Fair Warning....

Yelp 365 Challenge #93/365 A pizza parlor besides Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Lil' Caesar's in Kapolei?! Yes!!! Right across the theaters in the same shopping center as Chun Wah Kam and Simply Organized is Brick Oven Pizza parlor that just opened up recently (I think). What is more convenient is that it is right across the theaters AND the NEW entry/exit of the freeway! The restaurant is roomy with red and white checkered table clothes. You can also view the kitchen staff preparing your food. Because it is open to the customers, you'll actually smell like you were cooking the pizza yourself...just like as if you were cooking meat at Good to Grill on Kapahulu if you sat in the same area as the grills. Overall, you can't go wrong with their basic American Italian food along with their friendly staff.

boy was this place busy! :) and I went on a Wednesday night and then. I've had pizza from this place (take out) but had never actually dined in and I was quite excited to go. In any case, wait was short (there was only 2 of us). We were greeted right away and sat at the same time as the party that came in right after us. Our server had both of our tables but I was already set on what I wanted so I ordered right away. I've been craving pizza and I always get my margherita pizza...why should I stray? So I ordered a small pizza (which I thought was quite a good size). Our server also offered some pepperoncinis, of course I'd like some! I'm actually salivating thinking of pizza but when the pizza came out, it smelled of delicious. And garlic. and well, pizza smells. :) The cheese was super stringy and there was quite a bit of it. *heart the cheese* I think I downed 2 slices pretty quick. I think the tomatoes were hand diced and they were the perfect size. not too small but not too big. I also liked the garlic butter brushed on the crust. I did think about buying the pizza bread appetizer...but opted not to. I really should have been good and had a salad too but...nah, just pizza. I ended up with 4 slices left over to take home....which was just as tasty re-heated. I really wanted to try dessert too...but decided I was too full..maybe next time I'll just start with a dessert pizza! :) I didn't really believe people that told me this place was so good but I really enjoyed it. It's great for a nice sit in pizza parlor. Service was fabulous and it was so pleasant to see everyone smiling while they worked! Keep it up!

My FAVORITE pizza spot on island. I always get a bacon pepperoni pizza and the wing sampler. Absolutely delicious. Happy hour prices are also great. (Btw I'm from New York and have eaten my fair share of pizza...I might know a few things) service was great. Our server was quiet but he was always on top of things

Second time going there and it didn't get any better! Food was good but the service has to be the worst! 3 other customers that were seated after us received their order even though we were there 15 minutes before them, after 30 minutes of waiting I went to the counter to tell them just to box our pizza but low and behold they forgot to put the order thru this is the same situation from the first visit and again they told us "oh my god this never happens, we're so sorry! " well I also am so sorry because I will never return or recommend.

After a long day of work on this side, I met my boyfriend for dinner here before his overnight shift. I ordered one of their specialty cocktails that come in a carafe and was a little annoyed because the straw wasn't long enough. I eventually asked for a glass to pour it in. We got the combo pizza with everything on it on the regular crust. It was really good. The crust is light and crispy, and all of the ingredients are fresh. The edges are a little too much crust for me but if you are a crust lover you won't be complaining. The server was friendly, and came around often enough. We were kind of in a rush since the BF had to get to work, so we only had a couple slices each before boxing the rest. Like I mentioned in another review, I don't live on the leeward side so I would never choose to drive all the way out here for pizza, but if I am out here this place is definitely at the too of my list. It was a little expensive for out large pizza, but it looked and tastes like it was worth it.

One of the better pizza joints on the west side..good crust and good sauce. It was a slow Friday lunch and not that many people. Pizza prices were less expensive than most places around. Service was average. I'm going back again.

It's pretty rare that any of my friends ever visit me in Kapolei since they all live in town. That's why when they do I usually try to take them someplace decent to eat to promote more visits in the future. That being said, you can never really go wrong with pizza and this place makes some pretty decent pizza. There's just something about the name brick oven pizza that makes you think that the pizza taste even better. (Sort of like grilling things with kiawe...it just sounds so much better) The wheat crust with garlic butter is an awesome oxymoron and makes for some great pizza foundation. Side note: I couldn't help but notice that the ovens in the kitchen were all steel and not really brick ovens.

Ok, I read the reviews and alot of people complained about the service. We had no such issues. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The pizza was very different from the other offerings in the Kapolei area which is a nice change of pace. The crust was crispy and flavorful and the Ultimeatsa was packed with meatsa! The clam chowder was a little watery for.my taste, but this is a pizza joint afterall.

taste good, home made pizza, little bit smaller than pizza hut. The only thing is the price is expensive for the size. I like the ambiance and would be super cool if they turned it into a reggae band club at night. Only go there once in a while because of price.

The good: thin, crispy stuff The bad: the overly cheesy garlic bread with cheese The other week, the fiancee, her family, and I ventured out to Brick Oven Pizza in Kapolei to give it a try. Going in, I knew from other Yelp reviews that there is no brick oven at Brick Oven Pizza (misleading right?). They use standard, stainless steel pizza ovens. But, I wasn't about to let that color my judgement. The atmosphere here is very loud. It has a faux brick look all throughout and a very sports bar type feel with multiple TVs all around and a bar. Service here is decent enough, but somewhat slow. They do seem to be a bit understaffed. So hows the food? To start, we ordered the garlic bread with cheese, because everyone gushes about it. Honestly, I don't see why. The bread was unremarkable (not even artisan type) and was drenched in butter with WAAAY TOO MUCH cheese and nor garlic flavor at all. Following the garlic bread with cheese, we ordered a Brick Oven Super Pizza. And super it was! It was literally COVERED with toppings. I can't remember exactly what was on it, but I do remember there was pepperoni, italian sausage, Portuguese Sausage (Linguica), and Salami. The sauce was ok, though a little sweet. The toppings were of good quality, though there was so much, that the pizza sagged quite a bit, even though the crust was quite sturdy. The curst was, however, good. It was thin and crisp. I know this isn't an authentic type of pizza, but for non-authentic stuff, it is quite good. Despite being stuffed, we also ordered a dessert pizza. Ours was a standard pizza crust covered in cream cheese and dusted with a healthy amount of cinnamon sugar. It was actually pretty good! Would I come back? Maybe. I admit, it was a bit pricy, but had pretty good food. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but is a good option if you're in Kapolei.

Ok so I had High hopes for this pizza joint. First off our waitress was hella slow and forgetful she forgot our drinks then she says oh we are currently washing cups cuz we ran out. Well I'm sorry any restaurant establishment to me should never ever run out of cups of all things. Then we tried the buffet which was also a big joke pizza was hella cold, the pasta was hard since it sat to long on the line and what really pissed me off they never refilled anything once it ran out she ran out. All I know is that this was my first and last time ever eating at this joint n trust me when I say that Dominos Pizza got more action than these guys.

Perfect place to get a pizza pie in Kapolei! The atmosphere is busy and alive. You can hear the conversations around, pizza being made, people taking orders. It just crazy.. We had the garlic bread (That is a must try) and half margarita pizza and half pepperoni and mushrooms large size! Okay I didn't think that this would fill the both of us up but it did. We were just able to down slice after slice, until the last one was staring us both in the face. So the only left overs were of the garlic bread. I recommend coming here to fulfill your pizza craving. It did for me.

Eh. Pizza is ok. It doesn't taste like it came from a Brick Oven. The biggest size pizza is a large and it's like $30 for it! You're better off going to that Boston Pizza place by Safeway or the pizza place in Ko'olina.

Really really yummy pizza but be prepared to pay $$! The service was good and the atmosphere was fun with a singer in the corner. A bit loud, especially for the munchkins. I'm pretty sure we'll go there again next time we venture that way.

My first few visits when they opened, I had good service and delicious food. My last few visits, the food and service have gotten progressively worse. If the food wasn't so darn good, I would boycott this place on service alone. It takes way too long to get your food. Two visits in a row, I got my order wrong and it took twice as long as quoted.

A transplant from Kauai, Brick Oven Pizza has good pizza, especially since you can order it thin crust. The toppings are generous and the pizza is flavorful, never bland! Noisy and crowded and it takes a while to get your pizza, but worth the wait!

This place is awesome, they not only a accommodated me & my derby team of 58 people. They were so kind to us when we needed water after the Kapolei lights Parade! Its a very nice establishment, with a casual family vibe. The pizzas are bangin and you can customize it to your liking! Can i say Whole Wheat crust!! Yes please, anyway to make me feel less guilty in eating a pizza! haha. Portions is fairly decent, and you can split a pizza between two people. I preferably got there mini pepperoni which was shaped into a heart, aw! with a side of spicy wings. YUM. Its a great place to eat with family. Must go if your in the neighborhood :) Service: Excellent, they are patient with 30 derby chicks ordering & 15 kids screaming! Food: Delicious, left with a full belly. Parking: Spacious, no problems. Price:$7-$30 Decently priced

The crust here is the star, particularly if you get the garlic butter (go for it!). We didn't have to wait at all and parking is ample in the lot. I ate a whole pizza all by myself. Prices are about average for Hawaii though mainlanders might find it a tad on the expensive side. This definitely comparable, maybe even better than Pitfire Pizza at home.

  • Denalee C.

Let's start with the good: The pizza here is fantastic! The thin crust is light and crispy and the toppings are tasty. It is like eating healthy pizza without tasting like healthy pizza. Margherita pizza is my favorite. I love how they give the kids a ball of dough to play with while waiting, what a novel idea! The garlic bread with mozzarella is a winner. It is just a piece of french bread, seasonings and a boatload of mozzarella but it is oh so delicious. The bad: The first time we went there, it seemed as though all the workers were in high school. My friend had a complaint about the service, but I didn't seem to mind. The second time the workers looked a bit older, but not by much. It doesn't matter to me, the pizza is so good I don't care how old the workers are!

It's been many years since I last visited Brick Oven Pizza on Kauai so I was eager to try this place. I enjoyed the wheat crust with garlic oil! Yum! It was crispy with a hint of nuttiness. The meats on the special combo pizza were flavorful, not bland, and the cheese was ooey gooey goodness! It had a thin, crispy crust which I enjoyed and was able to taste all the flavors of the toppings. We ordered a pupu pizza, which was a small pizza with no sauce, just 3 different types of cheese and basil. It came with marinara and ranch sauce. It was delicious! I could just eat that and be very satisfied! Whoever created this pupu pizza was a genius! Simple and delicious! The pizza prices were more expensive than other pizza joints, but our server was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious so I plan on coming back.

Living on the west side of Oahu shouldn't be a sentence to a life without good pizza. Thankfully Brick Oven Pizza set up a storefront in Kapolei and saved its residents from such a horrible fate. The pizza is thin crust, but even if that's not your style you should give this place a chance. The outer crust was crispy but soft on the inside. You could really taste the herbs they used in the sauce instead of the super sweet canned stuff the big chains use. Service was prompt and friendly. Sodas and water were refilled in a timely manner. Being lactose intolerant I asked for no cheese and he was more than happy to oblige. No judgement. The waiter understood some people have food allergies but that shouldn't stop us from enjoying a good slice of pie once in a while. If you can't decide what you want they can easily do a split pizza. They have dessert pizzas which at first sounded a bit strange but ended up being very tasty. Needless to say there were no prisoners taken on this outing. The space is very airy. There's a small bar right near the entrance if you just want to stop in for a quick drink. The kitchen and prep area are wide open to the main dining room. However with that setup I get the sense that the ovens were contributing heat to the room as it was a bit warm in there. Not stifling hot but I guess it was fortunate my beverages were always full. If you're too far from JJ Dolans, this joint does a very capable job of satisfying your jones for a good pizza.

A co-worker and I were working out in Kapolei this week and got a little tired of the cafe in our building. We ventured across the street today and decided to try Brick Oven Pizza. We didn't have the pizza. I had a bowl of clam chowder and my co-worker had the caesar salad. My bowl of clam chowder was pretty miserly...more like a cup serving. It tasted good...but not homemade, but rather out of a can. The caesar salad was declared to be okay. We also split an order of garlic bread. Again, it was okay, but it didn't taste homemade. Doubt if I could come back...

Ordered take-out from here because the wifey ate at the Kauai location and recommended we try this place. So, we ordered the following: - vegetarian pizza ($31.75) - pepperoni and olive pizza ($28.40) - 3x large salads ($8.50 each) The food we picked up was definitely not worth the $80+ that we spent. - The salads: It looked like they took a close-to-expired pre-made bag of romaine lettuce from Safeway, split it into three salad portions, and added a small container of caesar dressing - The order: Instead of our pepperoni and olive, we ended up with a mushroom and olive. (It didn't turn matter that they messed up the order, since the quality of the pizza turned out to be quite bad anyway.) - The pizzas: Stale and hard crust. The quality was below Little Caesar's or frozen Safeway pizza. Definitely one of the worse pizzas I've ever eaten. Overall: I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. My wife still claims the Kauai location is much better than this; but apparently the quality failed to make the trip from Kauai to Kapolei.

Went here for the first time tonight and unfortunately didn't dine in, I ordered take out. The food was awsome and the customer service was on point!! I will definitely be eating here again.

I love this place. hands down the best non-commercial place i have been too in Hawaii. I usually always get pizza, sometimes personal size sometimes split with other people. i love that they can put fresh garlic on it, i love the buttered crust and i think the pizza just always turns out delicious. i tried the cheesy bread too once and let me tell you, it was to die for!! so Ono. I have been here on buffet days and tried the buffet once, it was decent at the time, but heres a forewarning- do not get the buffet unless you dont mind limited options on pizza and pizza that has been sitting out for awhile. just like any buffet. the wings on the buffet option were good as well as the salad bar. i wish they would offer an option of just the salad bar buffet to add onto your salad! hands down i would recommend this place to anyone. the seating is good and they even have patio seating. The owner is always working and usually greets you once or twice during your visit. This is one place i like to come to over and over.

Too expensive for what it is. Got the "Super" pizza, an order of spaghetti, french fries, and four drinks ( a mojito, a Coke, a Coors Light, and a passion orange drink). Grand total $67. The super was greasy and took a while to make it's way to the table. The spaghetti sauce on my son's plate tasted like straight tomato paste with Italian seasoning. The service was great and it's a neat little place. But 32.75 for that pizza? I think this might be my first and last time. For that much money I could wreck Little Sleazers. Pizza pizza.

What I really like about Brick Oven Pizza...is not just that their pizza is delicious, but their customer service is pretty spot on. Their pizza is very crunchy on the bottom, flavorful...& the perfect size! Their garlic bread is also delicious, but wasn't really on the toasted side.

When we got here it wasn't that busy...maybe 5 groups including us. The servers were nice but the time ing of our food wasn't good. While waiting for our food I ordered the mozzarella garlic bread which was the highlight of our meal though it could have been left in the oven a few minutes more for the cheese to bubble. We waited 20+ mins for our soup and Alfredo that wasn't even hot. It was more lukewarm. The sauce for the Alfredo tasted like bottles ragu. By the time my chicken sandwich came I was ready to leave and ended up taking it to go. If I come back here I'm going to try the pizza or nahh.

Me and hubby had our dinner date here! The wait time wasn't too long. But as soon as you step in I swear the smell was just overwhelming. I asked for out door seating which was great. Sitting outdoors around 7pm was actually still warm. We ordered the pupu pizza, garden salad, bbq wings and their house pizza. The portions were good for two, it was like a supersized personal pan. The foood tasted yummy! My favorite is the pupu pizza dipped in balsamic vinegar... sounds weird but its soooooo good! Their Aloha was good, but not worth ordering again. Its mostly coffee icecream, wipped cream, and drizzled with chocolate syrup. The price for beer was was actually a good price! I think it was $5 for like 22oz. Hubby said its not too bad. Customer serice was great! Our waiter came by asking if we needed anything and also kept our drinks full. I would recommend this place if your having a date, family night or just wanting to hang out with others.

This restaurant gets just 3 stars because of the false advertisement of their name. The pizza is good but its not brick oven pizza!! We asked the kitchen and they said its not plus you can even see the ovens from the seating area. It taste good but its not what they are selling.

I ordered take-out so I can conveniently take it to school during my break. Big mistake. 1. The wait-time for a small pizza and salad was wayyy too long; about 45 minutes. 2. The waitress gave me a weird look when I ordered wheat crust WITHOUT the garlic sauce. 3. Pizza - Greasy, regular white crust, with garlic sauce slathered on; COMPLETELY not what I ordered. 4. Salad - Looked straight out of a bag; leaves were brown and somewhat smelled rotten. What kills me the most is the waitress even repeated my order before placing it and when she took my payment. Needless to say, I gave away my entire meal to one of my classmates. I will definitely not come back here. I'll stick to Papa Johns for my guilty pizza pleasures.

I've had real brick oven pizza before at Serious Pie in Seattle, WA (like actually SEE the brick oven behind the counter in restaurants), but this place...? I just saw stainless steel ovens back there. The food was not fabulous. They don't have pizzas that are signature. It's just typical, although the wheat crust was good. We had the pizza with the works, chicken wings, their meatball sandwich, and the ice cream mud pie. I wish I could say they wowed me, but no. It was good enough to feed our hunger for lunch, but we just walked out of there still bewildered at the absence of a brick oven and just underwhelmed by the lack of originality in their menu offerings. Still, it's a nice place to eat lunch and I would go there again if I'm in the area.

Great local pizza joint on the west side! I've been here twice and enjoyed both times. It is pretty popular among locals and tourists staying in Ko Olina so there usually is a line out the door during peak dinner times. While waiting to get seated, my friends and I had a drink at the bar. You can even order and eat at the bar counter if you want to. Got seated within 10-15 minutes - not bad. Both times I ordered the basket of the cheese bread. SO GOOD! You can order it with garlic as well. What I like to do is order half the basket with garlic and half the basket without. The ceaser salad was good as an appetizer too - nice size and great to share. The pizza's are a little bit pricey. About $15 for a small 10" pizza, $20 for a medium 12" pizza and about $30 for a large 15" pizza. You can add toppings - there's lots to choose from. They also like to pride themselves for using 100% Mozzarella Cheese. Nice option other than the chains like Pizza Hut, Papa Johns and Dominos... very casual but nice for dinner with friends or family. Definitely a good place to go to in Kapolei :)

Ono this place. First time here and the service is good and so is the food. I had a ceaser salad and the brick oven super pizza. They are super delicious. Just that they put slot of sauce on the salad but it was still good. I recommend this place!

This place a great addition to the west side of the island, its good to have something different sometimes.... We ate here twice and the waitress was fantastic the first visit, she was consistent with the refills, napkins, etc. and the food was awesome and tasty we ordered spaghetti & salad combo, spaghetti w/sausage salad combo, Alfredo, and a small pepperoni w/mushroom pizza. The second visit we had a different waitress but still ok service was a bit slow on refills as the place got busy but at least we got our refills, our order was the same except we got a small chicken and spinach pizza which was good but the chicken itself was unseasoned no flavor at all and we ordered desert the aloha ice cream pie...that was ok I didn't realize it was made w/ coffee ice cream because I wanted to share it with my children but they could only eat the whipped topping which was a bummer. But overall the food is fresh, delicious, and service is good. The prices are a bit high but its reasonable for 2 adults, and 2 children our bill totaled $50-$55. And they do give kids pizza dough to keep them occupied : )

I was stoked in coming out to BOP, I mean, in the last few years I have watched Kapolei grow so much and to think an actual non-chain drinking spot with pizza is out here got me excited. I had such high hopes... High hopes that were quickly deflated when I came in one day for a "company" lunch. I imagined a JJ-Dolan's-esque feel with V-Lounge creativity and a Yard House selection. I really wanted a spot that made you feel like you were home watching the game, but instead it wasn't delivery - it tasted like DiGiorno. I was saddened by the pizza. The idea behind the flavors should have made for a flavor explosion: Chicken, artichokes and pesto... How could that have gone wrong? Yet the chicken was dry and flavorless and the sauce, grainy. It was depressing. Another bummer was the crust - it looked amazing, but came to be flimsy and sloppy very quickly. In addition to the Pizza I shared a french dip sandwich that tasted great - when I submerged in in the salty au jus. The sandwich on its own was boring. Meat slices stuffed in a crusty bread, but with no flavor. It dramatically needed the au jus. OVERALL: I want this place to be better. There aren't many places to get good food in Kapolei that doesn't come from a large chain restaurant. I am not throwing our BOP, I hope my next visit will be awesome, but I need better crust with less "runny" ingredients and meats that are made fresh there. I wouldn't believe if the dry cardboard chicken and beef were actually made in the restaurant - it tasted canned. I am hoping for a better BOP.

Probably the best crust I've had in a long time. Crisp and light but not paper thin or crunchy. A little pricey but generous toppings so don't need as many slices to fill you up. Garlic fries not on menu but available on request but if you like GARLIC fries, ask for extra garlic since they are awfully mild.

Glad to see there is another local option for dining in Kapolei! Pizza was pretty good but not something I'd crave. I had a tossed green salad minus the beans, and a slice of the "super" pizza with whole wheat, garlic brushed crust. I did enjoy the chewy, soft, slightly sweet crust and do recommend the garlic butter brushing. Toppings were pretty generous, however it was a bit pricey. Service was friendly and attentive, place was fairly crowded but we didn't have a wait to get a table for 8 on a Saturday at lunchtime. Lots of TVs - the bar was full of people watching basketball. Speaking of the bar, there was a separate bar area, and while the wine and mixed drink prices seem pretty standard, the beer prices seem to be a good deal, and they have a decent variety. It was pretty loud and boisterous, which you will probably appreciate if you are drinking and watching the game or have loud children to feed but can be a little challenging if you are trying to hold a conversation with a group of friends. Overall good experience. Probably recommend coming with a group of at least 4 to get the most bang for your buck, unless you are ravenous or like leftovers.

All of my stars are for great customer service. We came here for lunch and ordered a medium two topping pizza and a salad which came to $30. The waitress told us the cook accidentally put an extra topping on our pizza. We told her it was ok, but she insisted on giving us a correct pizza to go for free, as well as the pizza with the extra topping.. The pizza is ok, not bad, not great. Kinda pricey for what you get.

    (3)
  • Jon B.

Great concept, needs improvements in execution. Hawaiian pizza was bland, not good considering price was $30! Cashier seemed more concerned about phone orders than customers standing in line. She responded to 2 phone calls before taking our order. The only bright spot was the chicken. Chicken was awesome! The scores on here are very misleading, maybe if I knew someone I might have received better service. Not too sure if I will return back.

It's good to have another choice of an eatery in Kapolei. This place would rate average with me. I came here for the first time with my friends during the later hours for some drinks and pizza. The pizza we ordered was a Margharita. It was Delicious. The crust was good and the toppings and sauce were good. We also had buffalo wings that were VERY delicious in my opinion, cold drinks and the Snicker's pizza for dessert. That was awesome! Service that night was not that great. The girl didn't seem to know what she was doing and appeared nervous. Maybe she was new... Because of the great food we received that night, the next month I took my mother here for lunch. I was excited to try the buffalo wings again and we ordered the Superman pizza which has pretty much everything on it. First off, the buffalo wings were so sour it was a turn off. We struggled to finish them off and the ranch sauce they provided did not cover up the copious amounts of vinegar that was slathered on it. Totally not the same buffalo wings I had the other night. Very disappointed. The pizza was mediocre. Crust was the same but I'd rather go for the Margharita pizza. Service was again slow. It was busy, but our waitress this time again seemed frazzled and did not know how to multi-task multiple tables in her area. The place is ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here again due to the lack of inconstancy with the food.

Pro: Just happy to have a place in Kapolei where we can sit down with a cold beer and eat a decent slice of pie. Until Brick Oven arrived, no such place anywhere close. Con: The only reason I don't give the place five stars is because of the atmosphere. It has kind of a cafeteria feel to it: brightly lit, big open industrial kitchen that's practically part of the dining room, and strange little "bar" that sits right at the front door. Recommendation: Go at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday and sit outside. You won't be disappointed.

  • Cody N.

I have preconceived notions of this restaurant because I grew up two minutes from the original. Upon entering the atmosphere really feels like a mainland pizza joint. There are TVs all over music jamming and a wide bar that encompasses the interior seating area. The staff is friendly and up to par for the ambiance of the restaurant. We decided to sit outside since it was quieter and a little more relaxing. We ordered the small chef salad to start which came in a perfect portion for two. we also ordered the shrimp garlic pizza for our main course. The pizza us just how I remember it as i was a child growing up. It really brings back great memories of family dinners at home. The pizza is very different than your average American style but it takes a great tour of Italy and how pizza should be. They take great care to prepare each pie properly and this quality really shows through. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone just wanting to try a new spot. You never know you just might get hooked.

I have been to Brick Oven Pizza already more than 5 times. I LOVE the PIZZA! The food is fabulous, like so fabulous that you will keep coming back for the yummy crust and garlic bread. And then you will probably dream about the garlic bread topped with mozzarella and cheddar. Now if you really want to drool get the pupu pizza with bacon and dip away with the sauce they give. Now I'm sure you are wondering if the food is fabulous and you keep coming back why the three stars??? o ^_^*o (make sure you sit down now!) one big fat reason is......the SERVICE! T__T The service is hit or miss. I think I have only had two great visits from the times I've eaten here. All others were terrible. Reminisce with me shall we!!!! My first visit: The waiter forgot to bring us drinks and our pizza took 40 min before we got it. It was a slow night for that restaurant too. She also brought us the WRONG appetizer. I think she was trying to keep us there because we literally had to jump and wave to get the check. My most recent visit (2/18/13): It was busy and the server had the crazy idea of offering seats outside. On a usually nice hot sunny day I would sure! But not during a windy night where there is no cover to keep the wind out. no thank you. We ordered our usual appetizer the pupu pizza with bacon. We had the kids and they usually provide dough to play with. This visit we NEVER got our appetizer, the playdough came after our food, and it took an hour to get our pizza. We told our waiter to cancel the appetizer order and he was oblivious. He didn't even know we hadn't got it. o_0* His actual response " Ohhh!! you never got your appetizer??" I was really disappointed. So if you come here, you love the food but you will have a 60% chance of terrible service. Try to come when they are not busy.

Great pizza! I have been here twice now and am never disappointed. Make sure you ask for garlic butter on your pizza crust!

The establishment is clean and the service is great. They even give little dough balls for the kids to play with while waiting for the food. (Had to take it away from my nephew 'cause he started to eat it). It has a bar and monitors on all the walls. Favorite Pizza is the Ultimeat Pizza. The crust is awesome. Thin and crunchy, not greasy (I think they use cornmeal instead of grease/oil to prevent the pizza from sticking to the oven) With the option to have garlic butter brushed on the outer crust, it's truly a winner. The pasta is good too! I find every excuse to go there for lunch/early dinner. When I go, there usually isn't a crowd but I imagine this place gets really busy during dinner and on the weekends. Well that's it for now from the "Duke." Keep up the good work my Loyal Servants of Brick Oven Pizza I shall return..

I came here with a few friends a couple of days ago mid-afternoon so there were a lot of open seats and we were served in a timely manner. I ordered the margherita pizza with a garlic crust, while one of my friends ate a caesar salad and pepperoni/garlic pizza, and the other the spaghetti with garlic bread. My food was served hot, but came out much later than my friend's order, which made it difficult to enjoy time together as we ended up either waiting or rushing. My reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because of the price. Although the food was good, it was not what I expected for a price (with drinks) of almost $70. I would come back to this restaurant but would be a little more prepared to dish out the cash.

So the brother asked us to join him at this restaurant because a friend of his owns it. We weren't able to make it so after church and some holiday shopping, we decided to try it since he said it was ono and pizza sounded like just the right thing to hit the spot to fill our hunger pains. The place is located in the right hand corner of the same parking lot that houses Simply Organized and behind Chun Wah Kam in Kapolei. It was fairly crowded with about half of the seats full. We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. That was the good part. Then came the awful part. Our waitress comes who is completely inexperienced. She has to take our drink orders several times before she can get it straight--one diet coke, one root beer, one fruit punch and water four times. Hmm, it's definitely not rock science but oh well... 15 minutes later she brings the drinks and takes our order. Mind you when we give her our order, she tells me to "wait" because she can't write fast enough and obviously nor can she remember. Then she asks me to look at my menu to see what I was referring to. Good grief! The order wasn't complicated, one small Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza on wheat, one small veggie pizza on white, one tossed salad and two single serving pizzas. The order took over 30 minutes, my salad came 10 minutes AFTER everything else came and we had to continuously have to ask her for extra napkins and to refill our drinks. The clincher was that I told her that I didn't want my salad and wanted it to go and she looked at me with surprise..seriously?! Hello, ya should've brought it first and not as a dessert...geez! Also, the menu says lettuce, kidney beans, etc...I counted 2 kidney beans in the entire salad...let's get crazy people! The BBQ chicken on wheat was super dry and according to the hubby tasted like crunchy cardboard. The veggie on white had super fresh veggies and so so crust....the dough could have been less burnt and softer. The keiki enjoyed their cheese and pepperoni bread pizzas so that was fortunate. My biggest pet peeve is also when a waiter/waitress assumes that if we pay cash, the money in the check card is their tip....UH NOOOOO, bring back the change! Her tip, a $1.00. So she knows we didn't forget and that her service sucked! Let's just say I'm definitely gonna have a conversation with the bro when he gets home! :)

Some good ol' fashion fresh ingredient pizza. Local style. For pupus i would order bruschetta, some happy hour wings (half teriyaki half spicy) and steamed clams with teri sauce drizzled over it. Service is great followed with attentive staff along with delicious food. Although they may not use an actual brick oven, it's still authentic and delicious. Very good selection of beers on tap; also with good selection of hards. Bring your friends and have a few.

I'm so happy to have found a good pizza place on the west side, with a full bar! We've gotten the hot wings, the ultimate meat pizza and the super pizza. All very good. Now, the hot wings are not super hot (definitely not as good as shack or buffallo wild wings), but very good. The pizza, though, is awesome! Love that they have thin crust and it's very flavorful. Doesn't feel super fatty or greasy and the tomato sauce is not overpowering. Full Bar. $10.00 pitchers. A selection of 6 or 7 red wines. Happy hour every day from 2:00 - 6:00. You can't go wrong. It's a small space and the "bar" has a total of 8 seats, but it's definitely one my new faves.

Why two stars? I just can't get over how bad and inexperienced the service was! While the food is good, the service was just downright intolerable. I hope its just opening jitters and it will eventually work itself out to become a place dine at. The menu is what you would come to expect of a pizza establishment with a good array of salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. Our group opted for the Brick Oven "Special" and their "Margherita" pizzas which were both quite good. The crust well done with a nice slight crunch to it while not being oily. The toppings were decent and the sauce a nice sweet taste to complement the cheese and vegetables. The Margherita was ok and not your traditional margherita pizza where you have big chunks of mozarella and tomato, rather a cheese pizza with tomato chunks on it. By the way...where was the brick oven? I could have sworn I just saw regular ovens at work. The location is right next to Chun Wah Kam in Kapolei and offers a good amount of parking. The restaurant itself is large, open and airy with lively discussions going about. The seating is relatively close but not so bad where you would notice the next group over your shoulder. Service was just terrible. There is no sugar coating it. We waited left and right for our food which came out all at once rather than our appetizers and then our pizza. Drinks were slow to come by and water went empty. We were short one glass and asked three or four of the servers/bussers for another glass several times to no avail. Their inattentiveness and lack of detail was apparent and simply put, intolerable. When ordering, our server seemed confused and overwhelmed. We ended up placing our drink order three times even with them repeating it to us. One item failed to arrive at our table and our server made it a point to tell us that it wouldn't be included on our check. I would like to think that it wouldn't be considering we never received it? I think that they have great potential, however they really need to get their service together in order to succeed. Restaurants are competitive in our town and service will make or break an establishment. I for one will wait a few months before going back, hopefully by then their act will be back together.

I would like to preface this by saying that I have been looking forward to this restaurant since seeing it for the first time. We a walked into an awesome atmosphere. We then proceeded to wait 13 minutes before being brought the water we ordered. When it was mentioned to the server that our waters took almost 15 minutes make it to our table, she quickly brought out the salads that were ordered. My son ordered the pupu pizza and it was very VERY good! It was brought out very fast and my son loved it! My daughter had the super sandwich and it was also very good. I ordered the shrimp style French bread and I was very pleased. Despite the slow start, this place turned out to be a nice time!!

My husband mentioned that he had gone to the Brick Oven Pizza in Kauai, so he convinced me to eat here. I can say that it isn't really worth the trek out unless I'm already in the area or if the hubby is craving pizza. The good: Their pizza packs some good flavors. We ordered the "super" (which was a plethora of toppings like sausage, peppers, and even portuguese sausage). Very interesting combo of flavors, similar to what one might expect on a "supreme" pizza from you-know-where. I really liked the crust; very crispy on the bottom which was surprising considering how many toppings it had. The garlic butter around the edges added a nice flavor, although it was very subtle. We also ordered an italian sausage and pepperoni pizza. I think I enjoyed that one better than the super only because that combo had the perfect meat-to-pizza ratio. The bad: I ordered a side salad and instantly regretted it. The blue cheese dressing was very runny and lacked any flavor, and there was kidney beans in the salad. I didn't mind the garbanzo beans so much, but kidney beans? Yuck. I'll just stick with the pizza. I also noticed other people who ordered the side salad get it with croutons. Where were my croutons? :( The service is lacking. It took us a while to get sat even though there were 5+ tables that were open. They rarely pre-bus the tables so many tables around us had dirty dishes. I didn't like the fact that the busser carried the buspan to each table (placing it onto the chair). Makes you think twice when sitting down. -----Overall, I think if the service improves, I wouldn't mind the drive all the way out to the west side for some pizza.

Dined in a few months back & never thought about writing a review until this restaurant came up in a conversation. Overall it was okay, nothing really stood out. There was a birthday party going on so it was noisy inside. Never knew we could dine outside, the host never bothered to ask us. Service was unbelievably slow. It took a while to get seated, then we waited forever for service. The waitress wasn't very friendly; never smiled, she seemed tired. It took maybe 20 mins for our salad then the pizza followed right after. We only tipped bc we felt bad, thought the waitress was having a bad night or something.

My boyfriend and I usually get pizza from here once a month because the pizza is quite good minus the odd seasoning in the sauce (ask for no seasoning).... I wanted to order a salad with our pizza. The description of the salad said there is celery and tomatoes in it along with other few ingredients including kidney beans?lol... Anyways my salad was probably the WORST salad I have ever had. Soooo tiny and it didn't even have the tomatoes or celery in it! Come on, how can you mess up a salad?! The workers were very friendly (we get take out). All around this place is good...for the pizza.

Don't let the name fool you. There pizza is NOT made in a brick oven. I'm not saying that the pizza is bad but the name is deceiving. For shame, naming a place Brick Oven and cooking it in regular ovens. Okay so I'm not too much a fan of their pizza... It's decent, edible, and pricey. But just cause your here doesn't mean you gotta eat the pizza. My coworkers and I like to stop here at this joint because of the HAPPY HOUR! It occurs from 2pm-6pm $10 Pitchers $5 Majito's $5 Margarita $5 Mai Tai's $10 Hot Wings for 15 pieces There are several flat screen tv's. I noticed that they hand out dough to kids to play with. They have a full menu serving out appetizers, salads (pricey too and small), pasta dishes, and desserts.

Been here a coupe of times now and was very satisfied.. We usually get the ultimeat and Hawaiian pizza on wheat.. This time around we wanted to step out of our norm and try the bay shrimp and fresh garlic.. This combo was totally worth it!! You have to try it!! Tender shrimp and fresh garlic oozing with cheese is some kind of wonderful!! Lol ... Try it and you be the judge

Been wanting to try this place for a Looooooooooooong time! I love pizza. And who doesn't love brick oven pizza. Been to several on the mainland, but first time at home in Hawaii. Well, I don't believe the pizza here is made in a brick oven. But whatever. The pizza was still good! And two enthusiastic thumbs up for having whole wheat crust!!!!!!! The pizza is a bit pricey, the toss salad is a bit basic and sad, but all in all, it was still a good meal and the pizza was fresh! And it's cute, they give kids pizza dough to play with while they wait for their meal - nice distraction. And another perk, refillable soda!!

Pizza is okay. The crust was good. There were a lot of toppings. But the sauce and the italian seasoning they use is what threw me off of this pizza joint. I felt like the sauce tasted too much like pasta sauce. We had the garlic cheese bread to start. I liked it the best, but wish it was served with some dipping sauces. I like the location. There are also many TVs to watch the games as well.

Just ok... We ordered the lunch special- pizza and salad for 2 people. Price was very reasonable at $22. Pros: our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Clean. Reasonable prices. Food came out pretty quickly and the ingredients were fresh. Cons: The pizza was just OK. The crust was kind of bland, even covered in garlic butter. Sauce was tasteless. JJ Dolan's, Magoos, and Round Table are still my faves!

It was our first time here and we were very excited! When we got there we seen quite a bit of people standing outside so we knew it would be a few minutes wait. Sure enough the hostess said it'll be a 10-15 minute wait which was fine. The place has about 23-25 tables which are seated so closely together. There's a bar which has about 5 stools you could sit at. They have 4 TVs playing all different sports. Their kitchen is open so you can see the craziness that goes on in there! Anyway, so the hostess called my name and started to walk to the table. She seen that the table wasn't cleared so she asked us to wait about 2 more minutes. Tell me why she didn't make sure the table was READY BEFORE "trying" to seat us?! So we got seated. The buss boy brings us some plates and utensils. The waitress comes 5 minutes later to take our appetizer and drink orders. For appetizer we tried the teriyaki wings. That came out within 10 minutes. It comes with 7 pieces of wings and ranch dipping sauce. The wings were described as "sweet and tangy". There was nothing "tangy" about it. It was alright. For our meal we ordered a spaghetti with Italian sausage and garlic bread, and the brick oven super special I believe its called. The spaghetti was hard, with no taste at all! My homemade spaghetti tastes way better than theirs! The spaghetti wasn't boiled long enough leaving it hard, and there wasn't enough sauce. The garlic bread was hard also. Our pizza was on a wheat crust. It was fresh, with lots of goodies on it. But I had better pizza than that. Its a good thing we kept the ranch sauce from the wings because the pizza had no taste. I expected better. The service here was horrible! Perhaps because their new and everyone is still nervous. But come on... It's not hard to make sure your tables are okay and make sure their drinks are not empty! Everyone is running around like chickens with no heads! Our waitress was very inattentive. The only time we seen her was when she took our order. We kept asking other people for refills, or napkins. When she finally did come back I asked for a takeout box and she said "Okay, I'll be right back." 15 minutes later she comes back and asks, "Are you ready for your take out box?" I tell her, "YES! I've been waiting!" This place does have potential, and I would like to try here again. BUT with the service we had..I don't think it'll be anytime soon.

Real Deal..... Ok so this review will be pretty biased. I grew up eathing this pizza on Kauai and for me this is my gold standard for Pizza. I travel quite a bit and eat pizza on every trip. The only other pizza that I've had that was equal was in Chicago, but it was a different style of pizza, so its not a fair comparison. I'm also going to rate this pizza only on taste, since thats what I compare when I eat at other joints. So, excluding, amibance, service, and price.....this pizza for me is four and half stars. Why not five? I'm going to hold out in case I come across a new favorite pizza! BTW, you have to eat this pizza hot at the restaurant, otherwise cold and reheated does not do it justice.

Pros: Nice ambiance, very friendly wait staff. Ordered the lunch special, nicely priced for a medium one-topping pizza and a serving of soup and salad for $21! Their homemade italian sausage is delicious. Cons: Crust was ok- but sauce had no taste- I mean, really no taste.

Despite all the bad customer service reviews on Yelp for this place, my husband and I decided to try it anyway. My husband tried the original Brick Oven Pizza on Kauai and loved it! He was so excited to hear that there was one opening in our neighborhood. We got there close to closing on Sunday night, 9:20 p.m., there was only us & 1 other table in the entire place...needless to say we got attentive, fast & friendly service! The pizza was delicious, we ordered the "SUPER" on a wheat crust, you could tell the crust was made from scratch and all the ingredients were fresh. We ordered the medium size and only finished half (lunch for the next day!), we wanted to save room for dessert, oh...and I ordered a small Cesar Salad, it was small, but it was fresh and delicious! We also tried the Snickers Dessert Pizza....OMG! Cream cheese fluff spread on the crust and baked till bubbly, caramel drizzled on top with chocolate chips that become melted from the heat of the pizza and chopped peanuts! My 12 year old son's comment was, "It's sooooo....good, but it seems so wrong!" He just couldn't wrap his mind around an ooey, gooey dessert in the form of a pizza...LOL! Love the atmosphere! Tables are nicely spread out, there's a bar and flat screen tv's throughout the place....must be a great place for people to get together to watch sporting events! All in all.....we had a wonderful experience there.....would have been 5 stars but, it's a little on the pricey side.

My pizza was good. My service was horrible. We came on a Sunday afternoon right in the middle of football games and the restaurant was packed with pizza and football aficionados. We got sat right away despite the wait list since we only had a party of two. We got sat right next to the window so with the combination of the blazing sun emitting heat through the window and the lack of ac inside, it was pretty darn hot. Our server had zero personality and her ennui was evident from the minute she walked to our table. She took our order and brought out our drinks and we didn't see her for about 30 minutes. It was a busy day and I understand that the pizzas are made to order so it wasn't the waiting that irritated us. As I mentioned before, it was a hot day so my boyfriend quickly finished his soda and we were waiting for her to walk past so we could flag her down for a refill. I watched her the whole time and she wasn't doing anything! She was at the register talking to her coworkers...basically not working. I watched other another server by us and she was personable and checked up on her tables and apologized for the long wait. She also kept their glasses filled. I guess we just got a crappy server. I got fed up with her not doing her job so I marched up to her with the empty cup and demanded for a refill. The pizza came out soon after and I could tell she knew I was pissed off so she just kinda dropped the pizza off and ran. Didn't see her again until we got our tab...after I flagged down another server to ask for it. So no, I didn't not tip her very well. But I did leave something. I really hope they don't pool their tips because she is definitely not pulling her weight. The other servers seem to work really hard by trying to keep the customers happy during the long wait for the pizza while you're off checking yourself out in your compact mirror. Yeah, I saw that too. P.S. Their pizza was good enough where I might give this place another try...hopefully with a better server!

I send a lot of guests here and also had the opportunity of going to the original on Kauai years ago...so I thought I would check it out. Hubby and I went and although it was pretty busy we were able to be seated right away with no res. We ordered the bacon bread thingy as an appetizer and it was AWESOME! We also ordered a pizza on the wheat crust and it was pretty good too. I think the original crust would've been better. They also have a separate little bar area and televisions in the restaurant so it has a sports bar feel. I have to admit that I did indulge and got a beer and it complimented the pizza SO well. Service was pretty good and the ambiance is pretty nice. It was a little loud in there as I kind of had to yell to talk to my husband. I think I will ask to sit outside next time cause I will definitely be back!!

I have ate at this restaurant twice and both time service was the same (slow). The pizza is ok nothing to die for I think bostons across the street is better. The clams were I ordered were very sandy and was cooked in a bag in an microwave, which was a turnoff. The good thing is they got a full bar to order from.

"Meh"...really, that's all I can say about this place - "meh." The pizza is pretty good - but, the service is just "meh." While Brick Oven has really good dough that makes for really good pizza bread, the prices are really expensive for what you get. While I don't mind paying for food as long as the service is good, Brick Oven is a hit or miss place. I've been to this place at least three times and every single time, the experience has been different. I guess it just depends on who's working. The first time we went, it took three different attempts to close our tab because our server kept messing up. While the pizza may be good, the prices and the unreliable service make this a place that I wouldn't go to on a regular basis.

Today was the very first time I've ever been to Brick Oven Pizza. Situated in proximity to Chun Wah Kam and Simply Organized, this little pizza place turned out to be a decent place to chill with happy hour drink specials! It was my cousins birthday celebration and we ordered Pineapple Topping with Sausage and another Topping Pepperoni. I was especially delighted with how cute the drinks were and decided to try out their Strawberry Margarita on the Rocks! It was okay; I felt that their blended version would have tasted better since I'm all for the slushed. However, you can't go wrong with $5 drink specials which includes a variety such as Mai Tais, Mojitos, Shocktops, Margaritas etc. I LOVE how their drinks are neatly decorated with fruit slices which can be Instagram worthy to take pictures of (LOL). Other than that, try out their Wings Trio, either spicy or even BBQ flavored. Although its not as best as BWW, their chicken wings are still great and compatible with any pizza topping order. Our server, Anthony, was a great guy. Always checking up on our tables to see if we needed a refill and to end things off, he deserved a great tip! I'm pretty sure I'll be coming here again in the future since you can't pass up happy hour! Btw, Free Wifi is a plus! :D

Yummy pizza. I like to enjoy the atmosphere with TV's to catch up on the days games. I wish the menu had just a liiiiiiittle more variety. I get it, it's a pizza joint. And to expedite appetizers it's probably easiest to put cheese and garlic and butter on pizza dough and call it Pupu Bread. Then put bacon on it and charge some more and call it Bacon Pupu Bread. But it's a little too redundant. I don't really want to eat pizza as an appetizer and then pizza as my meal. And I don't, so less money spent here. We always feel rushed when we're here. I'm glad they're busy, but it's like they can't get us our food and clear our table fast enough. We barely finished. Kind of a shame, because if you're going to make a sports bar-y kind of atmosphere, people will probably order more drinks and carb-y apps if you let them stay longer. Also, less money spent here. So unfortunately, another place that's good for takeout because the food is good, but they only want you here for like 20 minutes.

After watching a movie my husband and I decided to take the boys out for pizza. We decided to give Brick Oven Pizza a try since everyone was raving about it. We started off with drinks. I ordered a lava flow which wasn't to my liking, I had better. And my husband ordered a Heineken. We ordered pepperoni pizza for the boys and the shrimp scampi pizza for ourselves. We waited about 20 mins for our food to arrive and nobody checked on us. Shrimp scampi was plain. Big Kahuna's is way better! The only good thing was that they give the kids dough to play with which kept them pretty occupied since we waited about 20 mins for our food to arrive. Never going back. Better off going to Shakey's in Waipahu.

Went in for early dinner on Sunday. Got seated right away, server came by and took our drink orders, and was back right away with drinks and to take our food order. We all thought the pizza was great, we got the Ultimate pizza and we liked the combination of meats. Little expensive, but still worth it. We got a large to feed 2 men (1 teenage boy) and a woman & had to force the teenager to eat the last piece. No room for dessert, but they had some interesting options. We would need to order a smaller pizza if we want dessert. By the time we were done eating (6:30) there was only one empty table. I would definitely recommend this place.

Not a fan of this place. The music was too loud and the service was lacking from what seemed like the guy's 1st job. The pizza was pretty good but overpriced. I won't go back.

Here's what you need to know: around 25 toppings to choose from, get the wheat crust, servers are friendly, kinda noisy on the weekends, long wait if you get there after 6:00 on the weekends (conversation can be a bit of a challenge unless you've had a pitcher of beer, then the goal is just to be louder than the guy next to you). Look, if you're going to get pizza, do it right. Make your stomach proud. Make your mouth happy. You can do that here. Yea, better than Boston's.

Went for a quick bite, I had to be in and out in a half an hour. I let my server know this before we ate, she did not disappoint. We ordered, she brought waters quickly. She even brought some play pizza dough for my bfs son to play with...and not eat. I thought that was a cute new way to entertain children instead of an activity paper that they normally get. We order the Super pizza on wheat bread with a garlic butter rub on the crust. It came out in a timely matter, streaming hot! Crust is everything to pizza. And this crust was crunchy and chewy just how I like it. Thin under the pizza toppings, and the right thickness on the crust. I would definitely recommend you try this place of you haven't already.
