The manager Michelle is unprofessional loud and obnoxious. When i walked into Starbucks i was about to order my drink and all i can hear is yelling in the back room and the manager came out pissed off and gave the whole staff a hard time with making drinks. I feel sorry for the poor baristas they have to put up with that old grumpy red head. It made me as a customer feel uncomfortable being there. The drink I ordered was wrong I asked for a hot soy mocha and they gave me a iced whole milk mocha. I will not be going back to this starbucks.

It's Starbucks. It's fine if you aren't home and need to get a cuppa in an unfamiliar place or on your way to work.

I love this place. The staff are great. The frappuccinos are never melted like when I go to other places. They make my drink just the right flavor.

Good space to work from, but even as far as Starbucks coffee goes, their espresso tastes like horse's piss. I would come here to sit and work, but would avoid drinking coffee beverages.

2/19/2010 I seem to spend a lot of time at Starbucks these days. Homework never seems to go away either. This is the nicest Starbucks I've been to on the Big Island so far. I've been to both stores in Hilo and one on Palani Road in Kona. The store is big and lots of comfy chairs. and plenty of tables. There are two handicap tables that can seat four people. The staff is great and very friendly. The restroom is clean and neat. Wi-Fi works great. The volume on the music is just right. You know it's there but it doesn't drown out conversation either.

It's just another Starbucks, but wait -- a fireplace? It fits the Parker Ranch theme on the dot. How cool! That bumped them up from a 3 star.

Was just here the other day and GUESS WHAT?! It has FREEEEEEEEEE WiFi! How exciting. :) It was a breath of fresh air to see their tiny little signs that said "now offering free WiFi at all locations". Although they can be a bit pricy for their coffee, I still love it here. It allows me to get in the zone when I'm doing my work and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff at this location is great. :) They're really nice. And it seems like it's always busy here. The fireplace is GREAT! Especially considering it can get so cold in Waimea! :( I love this location. :)

It's just like any other 5 million Starbucks shops you've been in. hahhaaha, really though. This one would be a little unique that it has some cool decor of some old pictures of Waimea Parker Ranch. But really not much to report here. Staff seem friendly enough, the setup is the same as most starbucks, restroom is clean, free wifi, emo teenagers, weirdo laptop guy with the really long hair, unshaved-scruffled face, with the tighter than it needs to be tee. Than there is me, the good looking hipster playing on his Iphone, drinking his coffee too fast before it cools, yelper.

This is a great Starbucks ! Despite being in Hawaii on the Big Island it can be quite chilly ( In the 50s ) So this Starbucks has a fireplace. One of the negative parts of this starbucks is that it only has one unisex restroom. Otherwise it has a great set of staff member who are friendly and effecient.

Now this is friendly, pleasant, coffee shop manned by true coffee affectionados, what I was used to when living in the Northwest. The have the new Clover brewer, it's entertainment just watching your coffee brew. Check the photo out. I'd def be a regular here if I lived up Waimea/Kamuela.

That green sign can often be a beacon in the wilderness, and if you are traveling between Hilo and Kona (or driving through Waimea/Kamuela) on your way down to or back from the beach, this shop at the Parker Ranch Center is a sight for sore eyes! It has the usual fare in a small but comfortable store.

Unfortunately, the assistant manager at this location has decided to discriminate against a quiet, elderly Native Hawaiian man, a frequent customer, by telling him he needs to buy something every two hours in order to sit there and use the internet. There's no corporate Starbucks policy like this - in fact, the stores routinely give free refills! Corporate customer relations has been notified and a complaint case filed. However, this company needs to provide cultural sensitivity training to their staff and managers ASAP. Doing business in Hawai'i is very different than in the continental U.S. and they shouldn't have to violate a kupuna's - or anybody's! - rights in order to discover this. I've spent a lot of time in this Starbucks during frequent trips to Hawai'i island, and frankly, I'm appalled.

I tried this star bucks again because some friends insisted that we meet there. Against my better judgement I agreed. Things have definetly changed here... For the worse! The lady ordering in front of me was a bit irate over them not having a particular pastry but the employee and the manager didn't make the situation any better. My turn to order was preceded by the manager insisting I give her and her employee a moment to discuss something which was very awkwardly carried out in a back room with very loud voices. The elderly woman was so embarrassed that she left without actually getting her beverage. I decided not to order. The lines at this starbucks are always long, service is slow and quality is poor. Never again. There are two other locally owned coffee bars with exceptional coffee and real character. Latte art and the whole bit. Try one of these instead.
