I am a bit confused. Have people who live in Hawaii never had steak before? I agree that the meals here represent a good value, but it is skirt steak which is a cheaper cut. It's not like you are getting ribeye or NY. But I agree that it is a much better value than a national franchise like Flame Broiler or Yoshinoya. Garlic fries could have been done much better. It is just french fries with clumps of minced garlic here and there. Kitchen is slow and disorganized. Our order of three items came out piecemeal, about 5 minutes apart from each other. But if you are not feeling up to cooking, this is probably a good alternative straightforward meal.

This is hands down the best Blazin Steaks location in Hawaii! Their steak is always tasty and never dry, thin cut pieces, just how I like it. They also give free refills on soda, which is not always the case at other locations.

Not sure what happened to the place. Doesn't appear to be open at lunch every day. Dining area is dirty and not storing the ranch dressing properly. Rather go to subway next door.

Small operation that seemed to be out of almost every single protein except for steak...however the garlic shrimp fried rice was surprisingly savory and satisfying.

Great place to eat in Hawaii! My family all went to subway which was right next to it, but I didn't wanna eat chain food so I ate here. Great hamburger and friendly staff!!

Thought it couldn't get better? Try again! In addition to the ole steak and chicken plate menu, now they got pork chops, fish, and fried chicken! The garlic fries are delicious, and for desert--BRADDAH POPS! Love how they embrace change so they don't go down in flames like the other Blazin Steaks on the island. Remember-Buy local!

Took 20 minutes or longer. Don't know who ordered what and gave my plate to someone else who ordered something else. Wasn't even hot when I got it. Not a return customer for sure. Taste was okay but meat was tough.

YUM. I think this is some of the best food I've had in Hawaii, and I don't mean just in the Big Island. For around $7, you get a huge, delicious meal, freshly made? Yes, please! I was here last summer, so I don't remember all of the details, but I had the peanut chicken dish, and my parents had the normal steak dish, and both were incredible. Sometimes, while mourning about the fact that I can't cook, I think of this place and wish that I could get delivery out to Seattle... A girl can dream, right?

I've stopped in here for lunch twice and the food was just OK. It's not great, it's not horrible, it's just OK. I've had the chicken salad and the steak plate. I wish I had more to say but it's just an OK place in Kona.

Came here after night diving with Manta Rays. We were famished. It was almost closing time so my cousin and I were the only ones in the place. Their steak was really, really good...we were pleasantly surprised because the price of the meal was super affordable. You can order brown rice and the meal even comes with a salad. We wanted so bad to go back but we were staying in Waikoloa. This would definitely be a guaranteed stop on my next visit to the island. Like other reviewers stated: best bang for your buck!

Can you say cheap and decent steak in the same sentence? Well here, you certainly can, I got the steak plate, which included lots of steak and 2 scoops of rice for $6.50!!!! That's almost unreal and unheard of anywhere. The steak was actually pretty tender too! Ok so it's not your USDA Prime steak but I'm not going to complain for the price. Just wished there was a similar place at home. It's located in the Safeway strip mall if you have hard time finding it.

Bang for your buck. Actually reasonable priced food on the island that taste good. Iceberg lettuce is the only down side but for $6.00 for steak you can't go wrong around here.

This place serves japanese style beef, salad and rice in a styrofoam box for about $7. I wish I'd found this place sooner as it has to be the best meal I had on the entire island.

The food was good! It was even better because it was cheap. The dining area was super clean. The service was fast. I couldn't ask for anything better. I recommend getting their steak plate. I wasn't to sold on their stir fry plate because the plate was just oozing with this unknown type teriyaki sauce. Stick to the original and you'll be fine.

This was our last meal before leaving, and I wish we would have tried it sooner! The prices were fantastic, and the food tasty. I had the panko fried fish- very light breading, served with rice and a salad, BF had the steak(already cut) so no real option for choosing doneness, but I had a bite and it was GOOD. Drawbacks are you are eating on styrofoam with plastic utensils in hard plastic booths and tables. For all of the sauces that they had, NO soy sauce. It was a clean place to eat, and really reasonable yummy food. Next time I would get it to go.

Wow this place was such a rip off compared to the one in Hilo. It was $8 for a small steak and shrimp and $14 for a large and they didnt even come with a drink. Plus the large was in the same plate as a small and seriously had the same amount. I was disappointed to say the least. Boo to over priced tourist traps! I'll stick with the one in Hilo

So friggin' tasty. We were starving post-flight, what with the time change and all, and ready to pay haole prices for lunch. But a $6 steak plate, with white or brown rice and a salad? Super tender, lots of sauces, and I was full up for the rest of the day's adventures. Definitely worth the trip; you'll be at Safeway eventually, right?

You can't go wrong with a $6 steak plate. It's healthy too since they only have toss salad and not mac salad. This one also has other specials like porkchops and fresh fish.

i think this Blazin Steaks just opened lately. Came here yesterday at 9pm since the Subway next door closed just then. I live next to a Blazin Steaks in Waikiki so I was impressed at how clean, hip, and air conditioned this place was. Great environment! I ordered the pork chop special and that was impressive. Nice mushrooms with brown rice and salad. The pork chop was a little dry but that's sort of to be expected with very fast pork. The meal cost $6 and you get two pork chops, not bad! They also have the sauces to put in the containers just like all other Blazin Steaks.

Mmm, got the steak with rice. The steak was chewy (how I like it) and flavorful. It was a good place to stop by after we were nearby. Better than the resort food and much cheaper!

What carnivore could not love a $6 steak plate and $7 steak/salmon combo? It has minimal ambiance and is cash only. They will let you have a scoop of brown and scoop of white rice if you request it. I'm partial to their sesame sauce condiment. It's in the same lot as a Safeway so if you have a couple people you could easily mix and match with some poke and a steak plate.

For the price, its a good deal in Kona town. 7-8 bucks for steak or chicken plate. Comes with usual two scoop rice and a salad. I've tried a couple of the combo's. The shrimp is great. Big jumbo garlic shrimp ... The only weak part of the meal is the salad has a lot of iceberg. Otherwise, for value its hard to beat this spot. Not the friendliest cashiers but the food makes up for it. They only take cash but there is a BOH machine in Safeway next door or an ATM machine inside that charges huge fees.
