I met with co-workers there this past Sunday for a fantasy football draft. We got there at 2pm and the place was empty. I looked around and saw some dart boards and pool tables. As you walk more in, there's a bunch of booths to sit in. The bar is on the right and they have a few TV's mounted to the walls. They had one woman working the front. She was running around taking orders, serving the food and making the drinks. My co-worker had to ask her for ice three times before she brought it. I had to ask her for my check twice before I got it. She totally forgot. She was nice though and kept coming back to our booth to see if we needed more condiments or more drinks. I was there for about 4 hours. When I left, the place was pretty packed. She was still the only person working the front. We ordered garlic fries, mozzarella sticks, soybeans, spicy fried chicken wings, calamari, mandoo and lumpia. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. The garlic fries were fried to a crisp and they loaded it with just enough garlic to make it good. The soybeans were boiled just right. It was still a little hard and not mushy. The fried chicken wings were not spicy at all. It was actually really salty and not crispy. The calamari was tender. It was those small pieces of calamari, served with cocktail sauce. I didn't really care for the mandoo and the lumpia. They were both overly salty and the dipping sauce that it came with was not good. The mandoo was stuffed full of meat. I didn't try the mozzarella sticks. I don't think I'd come for the food again, especially with so many other bars serving awesome food. If you're just looking for a place to hang with your friends and have a few drinks, then this place might be ok for you.

You know I've been here for years. I was a huge fan of this place. I even had my birthday twice over here. Until tonight, I just came in sat down with some company and it took almost 20 mins for someone to serve me a drink. The waitress didn't even to bother ask everyone else if they wanted to order more drinks. The bathroom was horrible. All servers where female and the bathroom can't be at least clean or have some toilet paper. It's so disappointing to see how it's been run. They don't even have karaoke anymore. Just sad...

This was my favorite place to go now it's DONE WATCH OUT when you go here these young staff will do anything to listen to your conversations and decide to tell their friends without getting their facts straight. They try and tell us to be more professional but I don't see what's professional about themselves telling stories on what they think they heard to their friends. HONESTLY if u wanna know you can just ask. I would love to tell you what our conversation was all about if that's so important to you. I FEEL LIKE THEM GIVING OUT DRAMAS IS THEIR MAIN PRIORITY over their customer! This is a review that I will not delete!

A pretty good hang out, nice AC and chill atmosphere. Good service by Lexy, love her! The drink prices are reasonable and they always have a game on.

Went to watch the UFC fight on a Saturday. Plenty free parking in the lot. $10 cover per person no matter when you get there once the fights begin. Older local crowd, many seem like regulars that occupy "their spot". Service was mediocre for the amount of guests. Drinks came quick, but we waited about 20 minutes for our food. Food review: Caesar Salad: fresh lettuce and good portion for $12, a bit heavy on the dressing so maybe ask for it on the side. Onion Rings: didn't taste home battered, but still tasty with crisp coating, a little pricey at $6. Overall, not a bad bar for food and drinks, can't at the same for quick service . I might wait a couple years to fit in better too.

TJ's Sports Bar and Grill is conveniently located at the intersection of Kapiolani and King Street across from the former Advertiser building. There is ample free parking in the evening. I was there on a Friday night for a private party and they were a little busy. It's kind of cool that they have a bunch of dart boards and pool tables to keep you entertained. Of course, there's also a bunch of TVs to watch sports. The highlight of the evening was meeting Sarah, the owner of the bar. She's definitely a wild one. She was challenging one of my friends to be squatted by her, as in he would be over her shoulders as she squats him for a few reps. Also, if you are Pidgin English challenged, you can pick up some pointers from her. Her advice was to take out the r from BRADDAH so it sounds like BADDAH. Definitely entertaining! Good times can be had here, Baddah!

This bar is okay. Got pool tables and dart boards , good pupus n drink options. But, the service is terrible. They only seem to cater to their friends and you literally have to flag them down to put in your order or constantly go up to the bar. They don't Check on you in a timely manner maybe every 45 minutes or longer. If the service was better I would come back, but I understand why people say it's not good place to go and gave it 2 stars or below in the ratings.

Went there Friday after work with office co-workers, there were about 10 of us, so we had a separate partitioned area close to the entrance/exit. We all agreed that service was very slow (maybe because we were extra hungry), the waitress was not too friendly (maybe because there was only she and maybe another one who came in later). The drinks took a long time to come and the glasses were really small, but they were bigger with each round we ordered, but, all agreed too that there was not enough alcohol in each drink. The food was not great but, then, too, not that bad, nothing was really that exceptional. Also, the food took a very long time to be served.

So you're looking for a place to relax with some friends. A place that isn't all hipster, yet at the same time isnt so ghetto that you fear walking back to your car after a few drinks. Well, you may have a winner here. The good: Lots of parking! This is probably the #1 problem with most places in town. Whether it be because you are so popular and have lots of friends who need to park their cars or maybe you just have a beautiful ride that doesn't want to sit nestled between two clunkers, there will be parking. Delicious fries! I am a huge fan of french fries. I judge alot of bars best on the quality of their nom's. If you have fries on your menu, they better be tasty! For $7 you can get a heaping basket shareable with friends. Upgrade to garlic or chili for a few bucks more if you're feeling hungry. Darts + Pool. Its nice to have something to do while drinking. Few pool tables and dart boards to keep you busy. Decent amount of space around them too so you dont feel like you might accidentally William Tell a drink out of someone's hand with a stray dart after a few drinks. Tons of seating! Usually can always find an open booth. Friendly bouncers and staff. The bad: Service is on the slower side. Might have just been a busy night but alot of times people go without water or refills for a bit of time. I wouldnt say the service is bad, just not good :/ That's it! It's your standard dive bar so cant really say anything else stuck out on the negative side. Check it out, see for yourself. Have some fries :)

$25 minimum charge - cash or credit. Kind of silly, especially with the cash part. Good thing I had a friend with me to make the minimum. $13 for a pitcher of Longboard ($6 a pint otherwise!). I think the barrel has been sitting there for awhile because the taste was a bit off from the regular Longboard. $3 bottle miller lite, and all the lites. Food ranged from $6-$20. Fries were $6, Onion rings $7. Up to steaks, ahi, poke, burger and fries $10 (but $6 for fries?!), etc. Local clientel gather here so its not usually crowded, quiet, pool tables and dart boards. Free parking.

Since I love to receive good news first, I'll start off with the pluses for this place: - Good place to hang out - Able to play pool, darts, and watch sports - Has a parking area Now the reason for the 2 stars: Although this place does seem to be the place to hang out as it's right on the outskirts of downtown, the service here really brings down my evaluation of this place. Most bars after ordering your drink has your drink ready for you within 5-10 minutes of you ordering and especially if the bar is empty I would hope it would not even take 3 minutes. In all honestly how long does it really take to open a beer bottle... But alas, here whether it's busy or slow you wait a very very very long time for your drink. Don't get me started on the food! You would be lucky to get your food before you forget what you even ordered! If you're the type of person to nurse your drink all night and don't get hungry this is definitely the place for you, because everything is slow so you will be able to finish your drink by the time you get your second one.

TJ's, conveniently located on Kapiolani Boulevard, is a popular pau hana spot among my co-workers. With ample parking, a reasonably priced menu, and pool tables and darts to entertain, it is just as popular with others looking to kick back and relax after a long day at work. From business casual-clad downtown workers to guys who put their shirt on as they walk through the door, everyone seems to flock to TJ's after 5. (Also, is it weird that I literally saw THREE guys walk up to the door shirtless and pull a shirt out of nowhere just as they were about to enter the bar?! Where did the shirt come from?! And more importantly, why weren't you wearing a shirt in the first place?! Did you come from the beach?! These are really important questions!) On a recent Pau Hana Friday with my co-workers, we arrived a bit past 5:30 and found the bar half empty. The first half hour was great! We received attentive and quick service from our friendly waitress, but as soon as TJ's began to fill up with other thirsty and hungry patrons, we saw her less and less. Towards the end of the night, we would only see our waitress as she was swiftly passing by with trays of food and pitchers of beer in her arms. For a busy night, I think a few extra waitresses would help. Before our waitress was swept up away with the crowd, we managed to squeeze in an order of Chop Steak, Garlic Chicken, Garlic Fried Rice, and Garlic French Fries (I know...a lot of garlic happened). I thought the Garlic Chicken was DELICIOUS! Tender, lean, and bursting with garlic-y flavor, I had to practice a lot of self-control not to eat all of it. The rest of the dishes we ordered were good, but not great or memorable - just your standard bar fare. If I had to plan my next pau hana outing with my co-workers, I probably would not choose TJ's. But since I'm lazy and don't want to plan my next pau hana outing with my co-workers, I will probably end up back here. And I'm definitely getting my own plate of garlic chicken when I do!

The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is the service - not the servers - the service. I've never been in there when they have had more than one server working the floor. They do the best they can, but they need help. Dear owner, hire more servers! The food is EXCELLENT and reasonably priced... but the service sucks!

I have not been here in a few years. The wait staff was great. They have the UFC fights, Football and more. I think the food is good and they def have a great bar service. If you have not been please check it out. Nice casual place to get a drink and just chill. Pool table and Darts if your into that. Ask for Kehau... she is super sweet and very beautiful.

Good food. Great for bar grinds. Garlic everything, good selection for whatever the mood. I always eat the steak. Best drunk munchies ever!! Good drinks. And it helps the bartenders are always so cute and charming. Darts and pool. I been on my dart game lately... Super friendly staff, it's honestly always a good time. A real homey feel. I dig it. If you're looking for a relaxed, Clean, friendly, environment then tjs the spot. An older crowd means the dramas been left outside. No testosterone overload. I def plan to be a regular.

Service is amazingly slow. It wasn't crowded at all--but that doesn't surprise me with how slow their service is. Do a word-search of 'slow' for their yelp reviews, and you will find similar complaints. Being that slow must be what is killing this bar. In addition to being slow, service was lazy. The server can't go around to serve our drinks. Dropped it off on one end and expected us to pass the drinks down. I do not know of any bar in town that does that. They got my bill wrong and tacked on an extra drink. Took 10 min to fix my bill... 10 min? Chop, Chop! And $17 for poke. R u kidding me? And the poke wasn't fresh either--fish cubes lacking any and all firmness. Well, it can't be all negative. First came the bad news.... now the good news. The bar has both darts and billiards for those that like to play. I hope management improves the service here especially by the time 801 South has completed construction...

Not a fancy place but a great place to go for Pau Hana. They sell beer by the pitcher if you want. You can drink Miller light on the rocks if that's your thing. Their food is not bad either. The bartender here is awesome.

The two times that I have been here I have had problems with the servers/waitresses and bartenders. I am 23 yrs old, my ID is state issued and accepted everywhere but here. The bartender asked if I has a second ID and was still iffy about both my driver license and state ID. Normally I only carry one ID with me because who wants to accidentally lose both ID's? The reason why they give me a hard time? "They don't look 21yrs." The waitress actually asked the BOUNCER if she had to serve my friends and I because we look underage. Why the heck would you have a bouncer if you don't trust your bouncer? And if you are judging off of "looks" then you'd lose half of your patrons. How does one even look 21?! This is just so inconvenient for me. I rather take my business somewhere fully capable of depicting legal age vs underage by legit standards and not by some damn waitress who makes biased judgements based on stereotypes.

When there's no where to go TJ's is always a chill place to hang out. Good food, good service, and a mello place to just kick it, talk and have fun. The pork chops, ahi belly, fried noodles are always choice.

Walked In , sat down , ordered beers and food, got the 1/2 of the food, got the beers, eating ... The server comes back and asked for $20 cover ???? We explained there was no signs, nothing was said before our order, simply pay or leave ... Left

I admit I was skeptical of this joint! I thought it was going to be a bunch of kids being obnoxious and annoying. I was wrong. I have been there on a THUR and a FRI night. Friday nights definitely was crowded but still it is not obnoxious at all. Staff is very friendly and drink prices are not bad at all!!! Things to do! Darts, hoops, pool or just plain chit chat amongst your friends! FOOD!!! Awesome fries and their fried noodles!!! I can not recall all the things we ordered. But I do remember the edamame portion was pretty big!!! So come on over to TJ's it's a lot o fun! :)

Will be generous and give them one star. I don't really know where to start, hmmm.. The bathroom rarely has paper towels or even a dispenser. I'm thinking my friend Staphylococcus loves it here. The bartender - Shiloh or Shaila is customer service oriented, if you are one of her friends. Otherwise she basically ignores you. I thought it was me, but the shitty service is extended to everyone pretty much. I'm pretty sure the liquor is doctored up, the call drinks have been replaced with Safeway brand. The owner has no business sense. We came to have a few pitchers. When the second pitcher arrived, I had one sip and was told that it was UFC Fight night, the cover is $10 per person. I have zero interest in UFC. No signs posted and no one said anything when we arrived. I would call it fraud or dishonesty at best. I have sat at a table for 10+ minutes waiting for a refill or any kind of service. Carpets are dirty, bathrooms are dirty, glasses are dirty, so I would be afraid to do a health inspection of the kitchen or staff. If you want to go to a placed called the "toilet bowl" go to East Oahu. If you can't make it that far, then this would be the next best place.

  • Ellie R.

The food was decent quality and price, the atmosphere was sort of lame. I expected better. My table had 2 tabs, TJ's screwed up and didn't deliver French fries, so when cashing out my friends tab was below the $25 requirement for cash/credit tab. Tj's insisted we order another item even if we wanted to pay cash. Service sucked, it took forever to get a drink or just service. If it was busy I could understand, but it was slow at 10:30pm on a Friday night.

For: darts, pool Against: service! Other essentials: $25 tab limit More: Chill bar to play darts and / or pool. Okay place to hit up on game day as well. Right on Kapiolani and King with a private parking lot so it's convenient for people living all over town. Usually laid back but it gets noisy sometimes. The service is awful -they show no urgency, leave you dry for long periods of time and consistently prove their lack of menu knowledge - but we just walk back and forth from the bar. Their shots are small so stick with the beer. As a plus they have jalapeno poppers ($7) which you can't always find. If you must go, take your own bottle of liquor and play darts or pool...the servers are nonexistent so they probably will never know.

Typical Sports Bar. Food is alright... Popular amongst the local. Other than the additional of the billiard table and the dart board, this place is very comparable to most dive bars.

  • Tessa t.

this place is not my favorite bar to come to... however, i keep finding myself here... i suppose its cuz the co-workers love this place... and the pitchers.... somewhere along the way it has grown on me.... BUT i am sad that every time i ask to order their king crab legs...they don't have any... perhaps i shouldn't even be ordering that at a bar :\ crinkled, thick fries and spam/egg sandwich are super good when you're all liquored up :) +dartboards, pool, basketball hoop setup

Great place to hang out with friends, drink cheap beer and eat good bar food. The wasabi vodka is interesting...and cheap ($3).

You know, I don't know what it is about this place, but I like it. Yea the waitress is slower than dirt (but very very nice mind you). Yea the machines sometimes eat your money. Yea some drunk dude is gonna tell you how you should "correctly" play pool. But it's nice and chill, you don't have to dress up, you can play pool or darts, there's lots of places to sit, a lot of parking and off a main road that's not too overrun with people or crazy trafficky. And the food was really good actually. I liked the porkchops the spicy ahi on gotoberg sausage, and the fries was good too! Could there be improvements? A hellllllz yes! BUT, in my opinion it's sort of a dive bar, and that's kind of how divebars should be. I like it! (P.S this review was of TJ's on a weeknight. I have never ever been here on a weekend but I know sometimes they have security outside during them soooooo it's probably best to avoid.)

i hear that TJ's has a new owner? or new management? whatever the case, some things are different now, and some things are the same. first off, our server was super nice and helpful (Angie i think her name was?). better than the other servers we've had here. also, her shift ended while we were still there, and the girl that took over was super nice and attentive too (didn't catch her name). we came on a weeknight to avoid the ridiculous drunken crowds that form here on the weekends. the menu looks almost the same, and some of the prices are the same (i complained before that certain items were expensive - well, certain items still are over-priced). kalbi (3 slabs worth) korean chicken (about 10 pieces) kimchee fried rice fried calamari Goteborg sausage topped with rice and spicy ahi (5 pieces) ***UPDATE - this was $12 bucks! if you get it without the ahi it is only $6, and the waitress will NOT tell you this!!*** just so you know, those 5 itmes cost $53 without tip. so, CERTAIN things arent so bad..... the kalbi was kind of fatty, but i guess that depends on which slabs you grab to cook and eat.... the korean chicken smelled of burnt sesame seed oil, but did not taste that way.. weird. the sauce is tasty. the kimchee fried rice is kind of soggy, but if this doesn't bug you, the flavor is good. the fried calamari comes with some shrimp cocktail sauce, and the plate is pretty loaded with lots of pieces - rings and tentacles. i can't eat the spicy ahi part (raw fish das why... long story), but if you've ever had Goteborg sausage (super popular in Kauai)... than you'll probably like this. its like a good salami sausage. my friends liked this. difficult to eat, but you'll figure it out i 'm sure. if you decide to get just soda - DO NOT BUY THEM BY THE GLASS... get them in a pitcher WITHOUT ice. if you get it by the glass, they'll give you a small cup with too much ice. get a pitcher! the cup is a rip-off. come on a weeknight to avoid crowds. also - beware of mokes....... O_O

Don't even bother going to this place. We walked in, were ignored and then told that there would be a party 2 hours later and that we could sit on the other side of the place. Just go to Kanpai's. This place is a waste of time.

Love this place! Come here at least once a month & the service is AWESOME, food is great & there's plenty of parking!! It's a good place to unwind after a long day. Kim Chee Fried Rice & pork chops are always a win! I'll definitely keep coming back!

This is not my ultimate favorite bar to go to but I must say they have some killer "bar food"! I usually would come here whenever me and friends are craving bar food. Recently I came here for the Pacquiao fight and they charged $10 at the door, but a friend of mine knew the cook so he hooked it up on the grub. Then again yesterday for the green bay vs steelers Superbowl, this time they had no cover charge and a friend of mine knew the bartender so she saved us the best seat in the house, the corner table with the largest TV in front! We ordered poke, watercress salad, wing ding chicken, burgers, spicy ahi with rice, garlic mushroom, pork chops, chop steak, soy beans and on the special menu which was a 16oz rib eye with onions and mushroom. EVERYTHING was off the hizzzehhh! Bathroom is pretty nice, the bar is long and large enough for lots of people to fit, tables are comfy and big. And the place is pretty cozy, with a helpful staff and games to play such as darts and a pool table.

I mean this in the best way possible, but this place is incredibly average. That being said you know exactly what you're getting. A straightforward watering hole with pool and darts area. The food is the simple bar type, no frills. It seems to be mostly and older crowd, 30s and 40s, but a good crowd. The service was friendly and the drink selection was decent. If you're looking for a consistent place to cruise and drink, but you're not expecting anything great, then this is a great place to go. Good place if you wanna drink but wanna keep it mellow.

Oyster shooters! Ono! Hands down!!! This place reminds me of the 80's show Cheers in sense because everyone here knew each other. Everyone can seriously just hang loose and not worry about anything. The vibe here is solid. The owner was also cool, she was drinking amongst us. If you are looking for a place for drinks and to have a good conversation with little to low noise, this is the spot. I would rather drink here than at those commercialized spots that's for sure.

Food is pretty good. The guy (owner) is friendler than the woman (wife?) today, No Aloha! Strictly business! Very slow, 3 customers, no hello, just talk about my bill. Might come back when husband is working, or not!

Stopped by to watch the game and get a few drinks. All the games were on and the place was clean. Sat at the bar, where I was immediatelly greeted by a young, attractive mixologist, named "Ariel". My order was filled immediately and served with a pleasant smile. There are screens throughout the facility, so I was able to keep track of the games I was interested in. The barkeep kept refilling my glass, which is a plus, I drink alot. She recommended the "Loco Moco", which was HUGE! Couldn't finish it, perfect for two. The service & food were great and I will definitely be coming back!!!

I came here recently for the first time on a Saturday night (10/12/2013) when UH was playing I believe it was UNLV but they lost by a field goal late in the 4th quarter. However, I mainly came here for the Marquez vs. Bradley boxing fight. We thought the place was going to be just a little bit more crowded but it was dead. I friend who came here the week prior said it was super packed when they had the Mayweather fight. Anyways it was nice to be here at a Sports Bar on a mellow Saturday night without too much people. There was a cover charge for the event I guess at it was a whooping 20 bucks. I think that was a little too much for cover charge that night for the event(s) that they were showing. For special events they have the pool tables covered up so that people can sit and dine on them. They have TVs all set up around the whole bar which is pretty cool. I find it interested that they whole bar and place is all horizontal like. We couldn't sit all the way in the back where they have the really big TV unless we had a bigger party. The staff and customer service was ok. The menu is ok too. We ordered some soybean edamame, korean chicken, and fried rice. They were alright too. I thought they would have or offer a specialized menu but it seems like everything that they were serving that night was just their original stuff. I would say that the best thing here is the parking which they have a decent amount of right in front of the bar. The place is conveniently located right on Kapiolani avenue. Right across from the Honolulu Star Advertiser building and all those car dealerships. Overall, I would say the bar does give a nice local vibe and atmosphere whether it's just pau hana time or if you like watch some special sporting event.

A friend and I watched the 2 championship AFC and NFC games starting with a nice breakfast pupu buffet and ending many happy hours later. Good beer prices on Hawaiian beers even. Hawaiian style oyster shooters and as good as Poke gets, they had it. Woohoo

3 & 2tips of a star.... Sometimes there's some sketchy people here, but for most nights it's pretty chill and the waitresses are super nice. I usually come here to throw darts (they have an entire section at the front lined with boards). They also have basketball, a punching bag game, and a couple other video games to entertain your drunk ass with. Drink prices are pretty standard....typical bar food. I like this place because it's literally 2 blocks from my house. Open til 2 in the morning, plus they have open karaoke on Sunday nights. Don't do it though...I think the waitresses really hate it haha!

Food is ok, service is friendly but isn't that great, lighting isn't the best, drinks are ehh, but I still love this place. If you're looking for a fun and exciting night out with your friends with great food and a great atmosphere, this place is not for you!! TJs is more for a mellow, cruise night. Shoot some pool. Throw some darts. Its also good for pregaming.

I remember coming here with a group of people once and no one came to our table. We sat for 15 minutes waiting... and waiting... Until we finally got fed up and left to go down the street to Tsunamis. I vowed NEVER to return but I did. The food is okay and the bathroom is clean. That's about the only positive thing I can think of. The service is severely lacking even when we actually did get service. How can a waitress be so clueless and not know anything? She was definitely not hired for her looks or brains so what does that leave? Okay, that was mean. This bar is old looking and needs a serious face lift... Unlike the lovely waitress (redemption). Some newer TVs wouldn't hurt. I'm not sure how long this bar will stay afloat. It's only a matter of time.

  • Mahina C.

When i was young, i use to hear my parents friends talk about this place. Mostly for the food, so i'm going to say this is probably the ONLY positive about this place. I came here a few times because usually it's dead. There's darts, pool tables, and booths to just chill in. Coming here after work was not a great idea. Now it wasn't pack like usual places are for happy hour, i mean people were at the bar, maybe 2/3 booths were taken up, nothing crazy but the wait just to get a damn menu was already the first sign of struggle. When i called, they told me happy hour is till 7pm bar time. So i replied okay so 630? she replies yeahh around there. Can't you just give me a specific time that you have happy hour till? NO. Secondly, there is NO happy hour for food until 8pm. Food is pretty overpriced like any other bar so be ready to spend that dough. Ohh and lastly, you think you're going to get friendly service? wrong! we waited for over 10 minutes after we came in to get a menu, another to order drinks then another after for food. I honestly don't think we would've gotten anything if i didn't walk up myself to get the menus in the first place!

Great centralized location in town with plenty of free parking. If you have some time to kill before you head out for a night of partying then this is a great spot to meet up with everyone. Two pool tables and plenty of dart boards. You need to put a $20 deposit down for every set of darts you borrow. One complaint though is that it always takes the bartenders a while to service us even when it's not that busy. Other than that its your typical sports bar with decent pupus and a great meet up location.

They do not honor their coupons on pick up despite the fact the coupon does not state this. The owner was very rude and unaccomodating and stated it as not "his fault" the coupon was incorrect. Dining in there is not an option, as I do not want to get lung cancer. The place is infested with chain smokers inside the restaurant which is a health hazard.

My friends and I came for drinks on Thursday night when the place was more than half empty. Even then the bartenders were slow--I was in line for 7 minutes for 2 beers with 1 guy in front of me. The beers were moderately priced, though. What annoyed me most was having my ID checked 3 times. It's not like I gave the waitresses my Costco or library card, I gave them my freakin' driver's license--each time! Sports bars aren't my thing anyway. Sports bore me and beers are evil.

Came here last nite to hang with a friend after work. I just came for the pupus and conversation. Service was ok but after the server found out I don't drink she practically forgot about me, no water no nothing was offered. Why no respect for the designated driver? We ended up ordering the potato skins, pork chops and mandoo. The server raved about the mandoo, said an old Korean man makes it, also said the pork chops were the most popular. Food was pretty quick. Potato skins were very good. The mandoo was crispy on the out side but the cabbage tasted a little sour. I thought it could be kimchee but their was no heat so I figure the mandoo was old, which would be the reason it's fried, to hide things like that. Lastly the pork chop was the worst. They didn't even season it with salt and pepper. It was dry, tough and tasteless. I had to dump the shoyu and ketchup to give it flavor. Toward closing the server started to ask us to eat what was left on the plates so she could clear them. I was taken aback by her persistence on clearing the plates. She tried to take away the potato skins plate when it had one left she came back 5 min later and asked us to put the mandoo on our pupu plates so she could take that one too. Very rude!! I should have waited till the end to tip her, I had already given her over 20% and was regretting it. I guess if ur waisted this food may taste alright but for a sober person thumbs down. I originally wanted give the two stars but now thinking about it I can only offer one. Sorry tj's.

We went here the other day because my friend said it was mellow... but I found it was probably mellow for a reason. When I go to a bar, I want good drinks and good food, so that's why I gave this place two stars. We ordered a pitcher of the KBC's longboard lager. It tasted kinda stale and skunky, like it's been sitting around for a long time. When we told our server, she didn't know what to do. Normally the server should apologize and ask what you would like instead. However she seemed lost and later told us that the bartender said no one else had mentioned anything about it. It really doesn't matter if anyone else mentioned it or not, you just grab a cup and taste it yourself. If it's bad, you replace the pitcher with a different beer and dump the keg. Simple quality service. The food was so-so and overpriced, but I feared that if the beer is that bad, then I have no idea how fresh the food is. So go here if you want to chance it, go somewhere else if you want quality service.

I'm not a huge fan of this place. It's definitely one of those local hang out spots, but not somewhere that I plan to frequent a lot. The food was just okay, it didnt have a very good taste and texture to it. The servers were extremely slow, not nice, or very accommodating so I asked for a cup of water and she didnt bring me one for almost 20 minutes. How long does it take to fill a glass with water? She never came to check on our table so we ended up going to the bar to order ourselves.

TJ's is certainly not a hot spot that you hear over and over again from friends, but it certainly does not disappoint. The food will not overwhelm you, the drinks not make you cringe as they are loaded up on alcohol, nor will the establishment wow you. However, like I said it does not disappoint. Located at the crossroads of Kapiolani and King Street, its location is hard to beat if you are trying to get a bunch of people from across town together. Whether its the guys that work in Waikiki or downtown, the location is convenient and offers a lot of parking. The ambiance is your typical sports bar with comfortable tables, booths, and lounge areas. The pool tables can be a bit challenging to use since they are tightly spaced together, but nonetheless good. There are dart boards and a few other arcade games for your entertainment pleasure. The menu doesn't wow, but it is definitely a wide range that is sure to please all. With your typical bar fare like fries and edamame to grilled steaks and burgers, it aims to please all. The drinks are poured decently, but not with a heavy hand if that is your thing. All in all, a decent place to check out with some friends if you want to grab a drink and a bite!

Rating: 3/5 Date(s) Visited: 3/10/2012, 7/30/2011, once in 2003 or 2004 Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Price: 3/5 Parking: 5/5 I've decided that when friends come to visit from outer islands, this is the place to meet. Great location and overall real low key. I'll be back soon. Food: Great menu. I found some items that most restaurants don't serve. Service: Friendly and attentive. Atmosphere: I like the location. Feels real local. Price: Average. Parking: I've never had a problem.

Came here first time to watch a game, it wasn't on any of their tvs so bartender helped me find a tv in an area that wouldn't disrupt the games already on and people watching them. settled into my booth and server introduced herself. i wish i would have gotten her name because she's the only reason I'm 4-starring this joint. she informed me of the $25 minimum for a tab. having only a credit card, i agreed and she asked my name. i ordered spicy wings and korean chicken. korean chicken was tasty though a bit dry and wings were bomb. what impressed me was the server was able to interject my name into her interactions with me. i wouldn't expect this here, maybe at halekulani, so it was a very nice touch. granted it wasn't that busy inside and not sure if this is customary. great customer service for me here and i left her a nice tip.

Usually when I have to give people bad news and there is no "good news" aspect involved, I try to soften the blow with a compliment. Like, "Wow, your nails look beautiful! Where do you get them done?" Then there's a bit of a conversation in between that segues into what I actually needed to talk about, so then I say, "Oh, speaking of self-done manicures to save money - you're fired." Now, now, I've never actually had to fire anyone, it's just an example of what I'm about to say: The onion rings here are pretty good. Onion rings go well with beer, but I didn't actually get a beer here because either service was bad or they were busy as hell. I would also like to mention that other than our party, the place was kind of empty.... SO ... I was vacillating between 1 and 2 stars here (did you see my compliment-segue-bad news arc?), but right when I thought I had decided on 1 star, I had to sit down and say to myself, "Self, would you actually ever come back here?" Then I said, "Hm, I would not seek out an evening at TJ's, but I would not mind accompanying a group of friends who already planned to go there." So that's the verdict. I wouldn't really make the effort of going to TJ's, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I ended up there again. Quick Tip: $30 min to start a tab

Poke was fresh & not previously frozen. That's about it! The rest of the food was as if the salt shaker top fell off & whoops, the BOTTLE of salt is now on your dish you just ordered! Dont get me wrong I love salty food & probably will get high blood pressure in the near future, but when I took a bite of other foods we ordered...DANG, I needed something to drink to wash it away! I think they purposely make their food EXTREMELY salty so u drink more! What smart people they are!? The bar food they offer are expensive for what you get! The poke was decent price considering it was fresh, but $7 for fries? You could get MUCH better fries @ a fast food joint. $7 for edamame? Good grief, another way to rip dumb people who go there off! Yes, they played me for a fool over there. Its all good I know we won't be going there again! NEXT PLACE IN LINE... ...ANYWHERE BUT TJ's! So a bunch of my coworkers decide to go there for a few drinks & service was BS! The place was far from being packed & yet we ALWAYS had to go up to the bar to order whatever we wanted. We ordered food from the bar & told them where we were sitting so they would bring our food. When our food came we would ask to get another round or extra mugs but they acted like it wasn't their job or something! They had attitude & one moke one made a comment about Asians! I'm not racist & not to mention our group was a mixture of ethnicity, but she should think twice about saying things like that cause most people, not all, have some sort of Asian! Be VERY aware of your tab if you decide to open one!!! First off they throw things on anybody's tab. Every time we checked it was always messed up! Didn't think they would mess up anymore till I got home & realized how my bill came out to be what it was. They OVER CHARGE!!!! If you ask me the tip was included! I know times are hard but they just lost what could have been loyal customers! I hope this review makes customers aware & hopefully they STOP ripping people off!

There are better crappy bars to go to then this place. Like fellow Yelpers have mentioned, if you are not a regular, prepare to get STARED at as you walk in and walk out of the place. The food is expensive. $7 for edamame that wasn't even cooked enough, which I find ridiculous considering you're just boiling water or microwaving...and $7 for fries. No garlic either. The waitresses are very rude and have an attitude, expect to wait 10 minutes for your drink order. A friend walked in, put in a BRAND NEW ORDER for a Bud Light pitcher and waited almost 15 minutes for it. When she finally came with it, she didn't even bring him a mug. When he asked for one, she just stared at him and said "How many?" in a snotty tone. About 7 minutes go by and we see her chatting with other customers. We have to go get our mug ourselves. She comes back 5 minutes later with one mug. Doesn't even ask if we need anything else, which we did. There was other waitresses there, but it was annoying to order from anyone else because they need to check ID's. We have beer bottles and mugs all over our table, seriously? If you're that paranoid for youngins, hire a bouncer. Even when my friend ordered a cranberry juice at the bar, she had to come back to the table to get her ID to show the bartender. They also just put everyone's order on whoever decides to open a tab on your table without asking. And then give you that "too bad" attitude when you say you were gonna pay cash. That just means you're lazy as a cocktail. You're supposed to be making our life easier, SERVING us. The sound system is annoying, it's a jukebox so there isn't always music playing, but when it starts its SUPER LOUD right in the beginning and then soft. It does that for EVERY song. Trust me, you'll notice.

Less than happy leaving this place last night. Asked server how large tab was (25 min), she said16 bucks, so I ordered 3 shots. She walks into one of our party and spill third shot. No replacement offered and the tab was $44. Apparently she didn't add the food to my tab when I asked for the total. Lame, won't be back, out of the way anyway. food is ok but i've had better lup chong fried rice at asahi, hands down.

TJ's Sports Bar & Grill looks trendy from the outside. But, once you get inside it looks more like a dive bar. Rickety tables, floor layout isn't very efficient and it's better if you just get your own drinks from the bar. If you're sitting at a table, you might be waiting a bit in between drink refills. So in my own defense, the more I have to work to get my own drinks, the smaller your tip is going to be. I think that's only fair. - Food is okay. - Drink selection is decent. - Service is acceptable. - Darts, video games, pool table, and basketball shooter game for entertainment. - Lots of parking. Would I consider this as regular hang out? Not really. Honolulu Police Department Headquarters is two blocks away.

I went to TJ's with a bunch of my co-workers, I had my doubts about this place after reading all of my fellow yelpers reviews but went there anyway. All I can say is that everyone is right, this place sucks. If you're looking for good bar food, try somewhere else! The food here sucked. I'm pretty sure my blood pressure was in the danger zone after we left because they put a crap load of salt on EVERYTHING! But I suppose that's to make sure you keep on drinking those drinks that cost an arm and a leg. We sat at the tables in the back and didn't have the pleasure of having a waitress until at least 2 hours into our stay there. We had to go to the bar to order EVERYTHING. One would think since we had to go to the bar they would be on top of everyone's tab, but instead they tried to charge us with someone elses order! It's a good thing my boyfriend checked or else we would have been grossly overcharged! Don't think I'll be going back...ever.

Okey, I've since been back a few times since the new owners took over. I don't see any difference from the old owners to the new owners. You can take that good or bad. I still get carded at the door, I still get those "why are you here" looks, I still get the same "we can make any drink, but you better order beer" speech, and the "hurry up and order because the kitchen is closing" speech, too. Yeah, it's mainly the waitresses that ruin it for me. I'm not complaining, but come on Miss Waitress, there is a reason you work at a bar. It's not to gossip or spill that you are having a yucky day. And it's definitely not to see who has the better hairdo, manicure, pedicure. You are there Miss Waitress because you want to work! So show you are at work and be enthusiastic that I, the sad customer, am there! Don't lie to me if you don't have all alcohols. And you don't have to carry all the drinks and food at one time. Just show that you are happy that you are working and enjoy it!!! Smile! Ask if we're okey. I'm not asking you to bend over backwards and wash my car. The food, is okey for it being bar food. I've had better bar food and I've had worse. Not sure if they kept the same cook, but things taste pretty much the same. That doesn't go without saying that you wait about a beer and half before the food gets to you. So by the time you get some food into your body, you aren't 100% sober. I don' t know if they prefer it that way, but I know some people won't drink until they have eaten something. So if they are waiting too long for their food, they will complain. Overall, everything is the same. I was hoping for some minor facelift action but I can understand that they wanted to keep the momentum going between old and new owners. If they can't do fixture renovations, they really should get their workers some kind of customer service class.

PROS 1. Plenty of Free parking 2. Good location 3. Lots of space and tables- although usually the ones in the back are empty but "reserved" 4. Clean bathroom CONS: 1. Mixed drinks are weak. If you are under 110 lbs and female, order shots + soda/juice back instead. You'll get a better value. 2. Sometimes the cranberry juice (as in vodka-cran) can taste a little weird... like they haven't cleaned the container in awhile and the juice is starting to go bad... In my last visit to this bar, I decided to tell the waitress about their off-tasting cranberry juice. After 15 minutes, she brought back my same drink (except now the ice was melted) and promptly informed me that I was wrong because she and the bartender tasted it and the juice is fine. Also, if I would like a new drink, they would mix my bad tasting one with a new vodlka-cran and put it in a bigger cup. This would cost me $12. After mentioning to experience to a friend, he gave me a simple solution to keep my business- pour the contents into a new cup, add ice, add a splash of vodka and bring it back with a smile. Of course, that did not happen and I haven't been back to TJs since. It's unfortunate when the free and spacious parking makes drinking here so effortless. However, when I get less attitude on a New York City subway than this place, I cannot bring myself to go back.

I can't comment on the pricing because when I went to pay for my tab it was taken care of for me by one of my very random friends. Shucks, I'll have to get them back next time! Anyway, I like the atmosphere of this place. the seating isn't too crowded but I think the bar seems to be a bit crowded. maybe the stools just are too close set when I got there around 10. The booths are comfortable and there's a enough TVs and pool tables around. Bathrooms are pretty clean. Nice place to hang out at the corner of kapiolani

The new owner is hot...well, hotter than the last one. Eh, if you like quick-drawer, on the toes servers...go to Exotic Night then. They'll meet and greet you as soon as you get in the door. If not, get off your ass and go to the bar and order. Do this all the time because, yes, they can be busy sometimes. Only complaint I have is that the F'n Street Fight II machince always stay broken.

Even though this place has been around for years, I only stepped foot in there for the first time a couple weeks ago to play darts and have a couple of drinks. This week, a friend and I were looking for a place to pau hana, and she suggested TJ's. I was a little leery after reading so many reviews that were just so-so, but I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. We went right after work and got there at about 5:15, so it was pretty empty. The waitress was pretty prompt and helpful, especially when my friend asked if they had Pinnacle Whipped Vodka (surprisingly, they do! Tastes good w/ cran juice). As for the food, my friend loves their fried pork chops and said their fried rice was "pretty good," but not as good as Side Street. I wanted to try it anyway because I have a thing for fried rice. The waitress asked if we wanted mushrooms and onions on the fried pork chops for something like a dollar more, so we went for it. We decided on the lup cheong fried rice. The pork chops were very tasty and breaded and seasoned nicely not too heavy. There must've been 3 chops since there were 3 bones amongst the slices. I was pleasantly surprised with the lup cheong fried rice. It had enough ingredients to make it hearty, but not too heavy, and was seasoned well, although it was a little shoyu-y tasting, but not in an offensive way. I would say that the fried rice was above average. While I've only had this one experience, I was satisfied and would return again.

My cousins and I decided to go to a bar/lounge to catch up over some drinks. One of my cousins decided to go to TJ's Sports Bar and Grill. There were a lot of parking spaces here, so I knew it wasn't all that packed here. The bouncer, some little guy, checked our ID's and opened the door for us. There were about 6 of us and immediately found two tables to accommodate us. They have electronic dart boards, pool tables, a karaoke juke box, and a main bar. This place isn't anything fancy. Just a place to chill at. So after we found a place to sit, a waitress approached us and took our order. For some reason, it took forever for us to get our first round of drinks. After that round, a different waitress approached us and asked if we wanted anything. So we didn't care who approached us. Just as long as we knew our drinks were coming. Throughout the entire night, I believe there were about 3 different waitresses helping us. So it didn't take very long for us to get our drinks. They were pretty attentive and friendly. For entertainment, you can either sing or request songs to be played over the juke box. Some of the patrons were requesting really lame music. So I had to handle it and had them play better hits. They also have electronic dart boards and one or two pool tables. I didn't try their food because we just came from a house party prior to that. However, they do have chicken wings and dumplings. However, someone at the next table ordered some and they looked pretty good. Their prices are cheap compared to drink prices in L.A. We ordered countless shots and beer. The total came out to be about $150. That's super cheap because we were all buzzed (one was drunk off her butt) and they were pretty generous with their shots. Overall, I give this place 3.5 stars. Would I come back? Maybe. There's really nothing here that would make me want to come back.

Its not the nicest place.... Its not the cleanest place.... Its not the cheapest place... The food isn't spectacular by any means... The drinks aren't the stronget around... Though regardless of all these factors, I find myself drinking and hanging with friends here more often than one would think. Maybe its out of convenience, or maybe it is just our default place when no other ideas pop into our heads, but for whatever reason, it cant be all that bad if we frequent the joint. TJ's is a sports bar through and through there is no doubt about that. Multiple flat screens adorn every wall imaginable, a row of dart boards and random arcade games greet you at the entrance, and 99% or so of their food menu is deeeeeeep fried, but that's what a sports bar in Hawaii is though, right? This place is pretty large, and although during Monday Night Football or other after work or weekend sporting events it can be crowded, finding a seat is usually not an issue. The parking lot outside is very large as well, and parking is no problem. There are also booths and seating for both small and large groups that you can call to reserve which is nice if your flat screen at home just isn't large enough for all your friends to crowd around. If you want to dress up and get pretty to go out, you probably won't feel all too comfortable here, but if you want to watch whatever game is on that afternoon in a comfortable place with a full bar and some fried zucchini, then TJ's is it.

My husband and I stopped in at TJ's on Sat. Aug. 3 to have a few beers before the Earth Wind & Fire concert. We were stopped at the door as we entered by two guys who were sitting at a table. They told us it would be $10.00 each. It was cover charge to watch the UFC fight. The bar had nothing posted outside. We had no choice to pay it. Would have be better if the bar offered something free along with the cover charge.

Sometimes you just want to go to a bar to have a few, talk story, and hang out. It's not always about the food, the latest pyrotechnic cocktails, or decor. TJ's fits the bill. Met a few friends after work a couple of Fridays ago, and aside from the moke sitting at the entrance, I instantly felt comfortable even though it was my first time there. There's nothing outstanding about the place - typical bar fare on the menu (many fried items) that you can find at any other local bar, prices are about average, servers are just OK. However there was no annoying karaoke (or maybe we just got lucky), plenty of parking, and we didn't have to shout to hold a conversation. It may be a different animal during football/basketball season, but for a Friday night it was pretty mellow, which is a big plus for me.

It feels like that hole in a bar that you love except bigger. A couple of dartboards, coin-operated billiard tables, tables, and seatings. Nothing exceptional but its chill. The standard well drinks are cheap. Most cost me $3, premiums cost more. They've got HH specials too.

Definitely THE place to go to if you're just looking for something low-key and fun for the weekend! If you're into wearing party shirts, short minis and sky high stilettos while grinding to some loud techno or hiphop type of music, then this place is definitely not for you. See, I'm not much of a party, club-hopping type of girl, but I do enjoy going out for drinks with my boys... TJs is where we always end up. It's our version of Cheers. It has a great low-key vibe and the service is good. Servers are friendly and you can usually flag one down pretty quick. Prices are reasonable when it comes to drinks and their food is good. I mean, it's not gourmet fare but for typical bar food, it's rather tasty. There are several dart boards, pool tables, megatouch screens, an indoor basketball game, and a jukebox... seriously, what more can you ask for? All in all, if you're looking to go out this weekend but you're not in the mood to deal with the 17 year olds playing dress up at places like Mai Tai Bar or Level 4, definitely check out TJs. I guarantee you'll have more fun and it will cause less damage to your bank account.

ahhhhh the old (super cool original) staff is gone :( but for the most part i still enjoy comming to this place. simply because not a whole lot of people come here other than the usual crowd. i like that being that i'm not very accustomed to crowded places. nice real mellow place to get a drink and eat something. pros: -full bar -doesn't get crowded -lots of parking -nice desolate location -staff for the most part is on point and friendly -the chefs can cook it up! -pool tables -darts -some arcades -bar seats, tables, lounge areas with couches -big screen TV's -they play decent music (not club rat music) most of the time cons: -place is showing some age -could use a bit more cleanliness

Came in to watch some football on Sunday 08/28/11, when I walked in the door a guy ( I think was the cook by his attire) was playing pool I asked if they were open his reply was "not yet". I asked when they would be open. His reply was "as soon as the bartender gets here" so I said and when will that be? He says "soon I guess". So at this point I was over it.. I walked back out the door and told my friends we should go someplace else as it seemed like they really didn't want or care about our business. As soon as I get in my truck I see the bartender pull in and another car pull alongside. Instead of going in the bar she gets in the Audi witch pulled alongside her and starts making out with the driver. In the mean time I see more people walking out of the bar due to no one being there to open.. Last time I was there the food was good not great just good. The service was ok they seemed more concerned with the couple regulars they had at the bar than with entertaining new business. I won't be going back to TJ's unless it's really my only option.

I don't see what the big deal is about this place! A friend and I met up with some of our other friends there and sat down at their table. The waitress finally came by and removed some empty glasses from the table, but left before even asking if we wanted anything! Our friends were there for a while before we got there so how could she NOT notice two new girls sitting down? Anyway, we got tired of waiting and ended up having to go to the bar to order our drinks. I work at a bar and I understand how you're busy and you can't make everyone happy all the time, but there were 3 servers working and the place wasn't even that crowded! I've heard that the food there isn't that good, but we got there after last call for the kitchen so I can't give you my opinion about that. I'd probably still go there to hang out with my friends though ... since I stopped drinking I won't be waiting impatiently for the waitress anymore.

On first glance, TJ's Sports Bar & Grill has a lot going for it. Tons of space for darts and pool, a number of big screen televisions to go with the other 10 or so around the bar, and a decent pupu menu are all good reasons to stop by for a pitcher or two. Actually getting those pitchers, however, is what's difficult. When I visited, the live broadcast of Monday Night Football had finished a few minutes before I arrived. Most of the crowd appeared to be in their early 30s to mid-40s, with a few younger patrons and a surprisingly good ratio of females to males for a sportsbar setting. Settling in at the bar, I ordered the first pitcher of the night and watched a weather report for the Denver area while waiting for the local replay to begin. There was a lot to choose from TJ's pupu menu, including ahi belly ($10), fried rice ($8), calamari ($8) and even omelets ($6). Those menus turned out to be as close to the house grinds as I was going to get for the moment -- it soon became a twisted game to see how many servers would pass my empty pitcher without bothering to ask if I needed anything else. I stopped counting at four, but that was only after discovering some guys off to the side with made-to-order nigiri, specialty rolls and variety platters. As it turned out, only after standing in line behind another server at the bar with our empty pitcher did I ever get service. It even seemed to be almost too much for the bartender when asked to take a food order. While it was pretty busy that night at TJ's, something's wrong when you have to get up and go to the bar for a refill every time you finish a pitcher. Other people seemed to be getting decent service though, so stop by and check things out for yourself. starbulletin.com/2002/10…

If you're not a regular, and going after 9:00 p.m., you can forget getting a table. Most times, every other table is reserved for regulars. The service is the same, if you're not a regular, service is pretty slow. There are a ton of dart boards and a couple pool tables. The space they occupy is pretty large so it doesn't have that feeling like you're in a sardine can. The food is decent too, but again, service is slow if you're an infrequent visitor.

Can a sports bar's food ever taste half way decent and still be a good place to hang out? Maybe to start there should be an Asian-fused menu, and then great service, mixed with darts, pool tables, and a solitary mini-hoop game. In a nutshell, that's TJ's for you. Considered in major metropolitan probably as a dive sports bar, this is apparently one of Oahu's local favorites. From outside, the bar looks like the 80s came back and forced itself onto the bar, with colorful neon lit signs and a scribbled "TJs" logo hanging in the window. However, there's a certain charm about this place, especially if you're going with the right people. The food is actually quite good for a bar, and some recommendations would include the spicy chicken wings, and the steak with onions and mushrooms. Service was excellent for a smaller sports bar as the waitresses were extremely attentive to our needs. They have probably around 10 dart machines, and a couple of pool tables to entertain yourself and there is seating in the back of the bar too if you want to just chat with friends. I'd definitely come back!

i'm going to be honest..if i could give zero stars i probably would but not to be too harsh...but one nite we went in and ordered some drinks and lady brought our drinks but kept forgetting stuff like ....straws.....also ..kept forgetting our drinks...and when we wanted something it took her forever to come back...if it wasn't for the basketball and punching game..we would have left immediately.......our bill was 100 bucks..left her only 5 bucks..but we should have left her a big fat ZERO for trying to add on a 40 dollar tip.....F that...no go back ...

chicken gizzards are sooo yummy here!!! service kinda went downhill since they have new owners..hopefully that doesn't change the kitchen though...all in all..i like it at tjs..there are numerous dart boards and 2 pool tables..thats more than other bars have.

Didn't have a problem with the service, average attentiveness, it was kinda busy.. won a free beer and a flashlight from the Heineken girls. pupus tasted like frozen kind.. whatever.. i wasn't expecting much. at least i don't have to wait in line for the bathroom... since me and my friends were the only females besides the workers. parking was easy and there's tonssss so i don't know what homie is talking about.

Went one afternoon when it was nice and quiet. Waitress was very nice. Gotta tell you what was "killer" was the garlic chicken! Not overwhelming garlic, but lots of crispy skin (good for cholestoral!). We had that and the french fries, which was "eh". No mixed drinks or shots this time around, only ordered a pitcher of beer...went really well with the chicken!
