TERRIBLE! Got food poisoning from my 6in ham sandwich. I used to work at a subway and they are clearly not following protocol on food temperatures, storage and/or expirations. I don't even want to leave a star after my two day episode but I'm required to make a post!

This place has terrible customer service! The employees look miserable, and they don't even smile. I swear, I've only seen one employee smile out of the many times I've been there. I went in today before work, and decided to use my Subway Spirit Card (it gives a 6" sub, a 40 oz drink, and a 6" sub for free). The cashier was impatient and started ringing me up, even though my sandwich wasn't even done! Then, as I'm reaching for the 40 oz cup, she says, "It's not that one. It's the 30 oz." I looked at my card again and said, "I thought it was 40 oz." She said, "No. It's 30 oz." I was irritated at that point, and showed her the card. I then replied (in a somewhat annoyed tone), "It's for a 40 oz drink. It says right there on the card!" You can tell she was a bit pissed, and then says, "Oh, it's for the 40 oz drink then." I felt like the cashier was not only impatient, but she also tried to rip me off! I know it's a possibility that she may have not known what the promotion was on the card, but still...as an employee, you should know what kinds of promotions are going on in your store. Too bad this is the only Subway near my boyfriend's house...if there were other ones in the area, I would totally avoid this one.

A Not so Very Merry Subway This is a tale of a Sandwhich artist gone stale. A little Yelper, who could of been a hungry helper. As he walked through the door, his mouth hit the floor, hunger and thirst was all that came first. He browsed by the counter, and stood in amaze. He couldn't take his eyes off of what he had gazed. The sandwhich artist not so full of glee, was now staring and looking at me. I looked at the bread and made a choice in my head. I will have a footlong Meatball Marinara. Yes that is the sandwhich for me. After choosing my bread, and toppings and cheese. She picked her nose, then started to sneeze. Instead of washing and starting anew. She wrapped the sandwhich and asked if I wanted a cookie or two. I looked in my wallet and the cash that was there. I decided just not to spend here. I know she thinks that I was mean. When I turned and ran from the counter it seems. To wrap this up in quickness and haste, Just don't waste your time with this Sandwich place.

I usually come here in the evenings. And there is a wonderful young, smart, courteous man who works there and gets my order right no matter what I ask him to do. He gets five stars and single handedly saved this subway from receiving a one star review. But I've come here during the day and there is a lady who works there who can't even follow simple instructions. Hello, earth to subway lady! When I tell you everything but onions, why do you put onions on? When I tell you salt and pepper only, why do you put parmesan cheese on? It's not even the same color! I suggest you try to come here in the evenings to avoid the daytime space cadet.

They made our subs pretty quick given we were the first ones in there before three other customers. But its pretty much like any other Subway.

subway-Kamehameha Shopping center. went today, August 20,2014 about 1 pm. three women working. ask a question, get rolling eyes and attitude. the rolling of the eyes was response to all of our questions. there were five of us. maybe people in Kalihi don't complain and can take this kind of treatment. but these women would not last anywhere else. I wish we had gone to Panda next door. the owner/manager here needs to send in undercover customers. Or he needs to be on the job . but, it was busy so why should they care. Never again for this shop and we will tell as many people as we can.

My daughter and I received the absolute worst customer service at this Subway and were so appalled at the dirty condition of the shop that we left to eat in the car. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and two girls were working behind the counter. Neither of them smiled or even answered when I said, "Hi! How is your day?" The only response I received was, "What do you want?" When I asked to upgrade my sandwhich to a meal, the rude girl took my money, rang up the order and walked away. My daughter wanted a cookie so I stood at the counter and had to call to the girl to come back to ask for a cookie. She responded so rudely and mumbled something under her breath. When I asked her "I am sorry, what?" She just stared at me. Very weird and extremely rude. I am telling everyone I know never to go to that Subway. The service is horrendous.

I go here pretty much everyday for my lunch. And having the Starbucks next door is a plus too. I usually get the $5 footlong on flat bread with cheddar cheese and all the veggies. Often, I would sample the different sauces to make sure which is the best taste. And mix the cheeses around with the sauces. The counter staff is friendly and because I come in every single day, they know me by name and remember what's my usual. And I think that's prettty cool.

Shittiest customer service. I blame it on the older filipino ladies that work here. They're never happy. Switch jobs if you ain't happy where you work. Food wise too. The way they make sandwiches are far from what subway calls "Sandwich artists". Careless and sloppy. There is a way to make a sandwich speedy and neat.

I come here once a week for lunch. The ladies that work here all seem hardworking and really nice. One even knows my order by heart. I order a chopped salad and they always seem to take the extra effort with it. At other subways they just throw half-chopped veggies in, but not here. My only complaint is that they no longer carry the apple chips- just the regular selection of Doritos.

FYI: I avoid this place like a plague. I do not recommend. FYI: Select Footlong specials are 5.99$. The subway artists do not give sh!t about your sub and will blatantly ignore or disregard your veggie and topping choices. Want a touch of honey mustard? Notice my deer-in-headlights reaction as the lady squirts liberally on the sub and spreads it around with a knife. No carrots? How about just a handful. Say you decide no oil, no vinegar, but with ample pepper and parmesan, please! But some barrier exists and I end up with a sandwich drenched with sour gross vinegar and greasy drips. In addition, I take my lunch home, and the wrapper/packaging is already falling apart; it was not even wrapped up properly. Please! Big pet peeves on my part in general. and some of the clientele are shady/ghetto.

$2.99 daily 6-inch specials (my favorite is Sunday's on wheat): Sun: Italian BMT Mon: Turkey Breast & Ham Tues: Meatball Wed: Cold Cut Combo Thurs: Ham Fri: Turkey Breast Sat: Seafood (with mayo) Cup for self-serve water is still free. I'm not giving this location 5 stars because this past time I visited, the person making my sandwich laid on all the toppings in such a way that each bite wasn't balanced with various ingredients. I would get one bite with 3 jalepenos, while other bites had no jalepenos, but were seriously olive-laden. Not that it's a big deal, but I don't understand why the person didn't spread out each ingredient. Plus she asked me if I wanted my sandwich toasted, I said 'yes', then she didn't toast it. The sandwich still tasted good, though.

Since there are several options for lunch time fare in my little nook of Kalihi...sometimes I just feel like a quick stop at Subway is just what's in order. I come here about twice a month and find that their service is quick and friendly. The line moves pretty swiftly and for the most part, I always leave with a great sandwich. Sometimes they are a bit light handed on the lettuce and other toppings, but Oh Well... Call in orders are convenient but sometimes you still end up waiting, especially if they are super busy.
