This location has long times during peak hours, like all coffee shops. However the staff usually offers quick and courteous service. My coworkers and I frequent this location and are always satisfied with our service. Love caramel macchiatos and seasonal drinks!

Pretty good. There is just about always a crazy line but the staff typically does well to move it along well considering the volume

Came here before I had Harrys Cafe breakfast and my couples massage at Island Club and Spa. (I was told to drink lots of water befre my massage, but knucklehead me had some coffee) Anyway, I came in and had my regualar peppermint mocha extra shot and I bought my own cup in. I was told that I could get 10 cents off if I bring in my own cup which is not much but if you think about it, if you're a regular at starbucks and you bring your own cup in at least 10 times, hey, you save a dollar! So I did! I had a 16 ounce cup which is the size of a grande. So, thats what I ordered. When I got my card back and my receipt. I noticed I didnt get the 10 cents off. But you know what, I didnt wanna be late for the massage, and my hubby had to eat! so I just went to pick up my drink. My drink had little to no peppermint, it tasted like a hot chocolate, and there was no EXTRA SHOT! What a waste of my money! the reason why its 2 stars and not 1 is because there was no line.

It seems like they have a really high employee turnover rate here so the staff is a little slower and never charges me the same price although i always get the same drink. Its pretty clean, good location, and plenty of seating so its a nice place to hang out and kill time. I should probably be the duchess here as I pretty much live at a starbucks but i always forget to check in. Oh well..

I tend to get restless sitting for long periods with the uncomfortable seating. This place gets crowded real fast, so it's hit or miss to secure a table. The music over the speaker was tolerable today and study time is usually productive!

"Haha, I win!" :) I recently purchased some tickets to the Jason Mr. AZ concert this past weekend. Let me tell you...I got there 2 hours before they opened & I definitely could've, would've, should've used a cup. *as opposed to carrying the piping hot beverage in my hands.. hehehe.. bad joke.. But, I didn't feel like it was a close enough walking distance for me to make the effort. For that, I have to dock a 1/2 of a star. Last night I meet up with my girlfriend that I haven't seen in months. I almost forgot what she looked like. The whole purpose of meeting besides catching up, was so that she could pay me back for her share of the tickets. Unfortunately for her, she only had a $100 bill. After shivering in the cold night air, sitting outside of Starbucks for a good 3 hours, we finally decided we could use a hot beverage to warm ourselves up. She walked up to the cash register, ordered her drink, then I step in, (literally) towering over her to give the cashier my card. K : what do you think you're doing? M : I'm paying for you, what does it look like? K : no, no, no don't even think about it. M : It's too late, I already gave my card. speaking to the cashier: M : Please take my card, do not let her pay. K : don't listen to her, I need change, it will make things easier. M : I got here first. Nope, I'm sorry you have to accept my card. K : stop being silly, I NEED CHANGE! M : Well you know what? I'M TALLER! ......(chirpping)...... Cashier : (to my friend) I'm sorry, we cannot give you change for a $100 bill. (with a very sorry look on her face) K : Are you serious? M : Haha, I win! :) *by the way, to the cashier that took my card... you're awesome.

First of all, lets just get it out there that I'm a definite caffeine addict and that I love starbucks. This location, however, is one of the very few starbucks that I will avoid at all costs. For one, there is literally no easy parking for a quick run in and out. You have to park either across the street and compete with theater parking or near office depot/nordstrom rack and compete with the customers there AND the ridiculous construction going on there right now. Secondly, for whatever reason, this starbucks LITERALLY takes forever. I've ordered simple drinks here (like iced green tea) and it takes a good 10 mins. Like c'mon?! Does it really take you that long? What's the point of me coming to a starbucks if I could've brewed the tea myself for 10 minutes? haha. Granted, there is only 1 barista (but what starbucks has more than 1 at a time unless its a great starbucks with long lines but high turnover) but it is just kind of ridiculous. I've also ordered my usually iced thais here and that also takes a good chunk of my day to get my drink. Lastly, this starbucks is located in ward center...where if you simply drive 10 more seconds down the road, there is another starbucks (wow corporate america!!). That starbucks is literally faster, friendlier, bigger and more convenient. This location also has VERY LIMITED seating...probably a grand total of 3 tables (4 if you count the handicap table) and some seating outside, but it is shared with the stores nearby such as panda express. All in all, love starbucks, but don't go to this location. You'll regret not spending the 10 seconds to drive further to the other location, since your total starbucks time will be way longer if you choose to come to this one.

Oh Starbucks! How many times have you rescued me from despair? How many times have you rescued me from my grumpiness? How many times have you wakened me up? I have tasted fabulous coffee to really awful coffee. I know when I go to Starbucks, I know how my coffee is going to be. No exceptions! I love this Starbucks! This location has indoor and outdoor seating. The seats are quite comfortable and I see that many people go there to study, connect online with the free Wi-fi, and chat with their friends. It's a great place to have breakfast. I enjoy the coffee and pastry in the start of the morning with family and friends while turning my attention elsewhere to other people talking next to us, or the baristas talking to the customers, or to the students that are studying. I love my coffees in the morning!

one of the worst starbucks experiences i have ever had. two blond chicks working the register and espresso machine and no brain between the two of them. they "broke" the espresso machine and start lamenting to the 5 people standing around waiting for their drinks that they may have to refund. ok - it happens - no biggie.. they refund one guy who's cash they didn't put in yet.. now there are four. oh but the machine sort of starts working again.. but blondie #1 decides that she wants to fiddle around with it before making another drink. ok. cool.. i've waited there for 10 min.. i can wait a little longer. but then blondie #2 brings coupons for free drinks to the other ladies that ordered AFTER me.. and coos how grateful she is that they were waiting.. i hate to note this but here's the population breakdown :: two white ladies in their 40s now hold free drink coupons, me the young asian and the older mexican grandma... look over confused.. as the blondie #2 then decides to refill espresso beans in the already full container.. w.t.f. not only that.. the two women who received free coupons also got their drink before me. my latte also tasted like hot boiled shit. i threw it away. i love starbucks. i've been a gold card member since the program started. i visit it almost every day. i will NEVER return to this particular branch. don't come here if blond brainless bimbos are working the register/espresso machines. i may actually write susan nixon the district manager about the horrible experience.

I am always a fan of Starbucks. The staff here are friendly. They give out sample coffee. My new favorite drink is the skinny cafe mocha drink. It keeps me going all morning. Don't forget to register your gift cards and use it to gain rewards.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks. Yes sometimes the line is long and there are no tables to sit at. But I don't go there to sit necessarily and the crew takes care of the line pretty fast. There are some key people who make my experience at this Starbucks comfortable and enjoyable. Their names are Michelle, Troy, and last but definitely not least, Lei. They are welcoming, friendly, and turn their customers into friends which is what every business should do. Five stars to this place because of them.:)

Nothing against the staff or the drinks. This location almost always has a line to the door. There is a lot of seating, but most of it is always taken. 3 stars mainly because this is NOT the ideal study spot. The Starbucks is lively with heavy foot traffic and loud conversations. I could still hear all the commotion even with my ear buds in. If you are looking for an upbeat place for a coffee date or casual meeting, this Starbucks would be fine. But if you need to really focus, look elsewhere.

The staff here was wonderful, only thing that sucked is the parking.

The Wifi is important to any Coffee Shop customer. This Starbucks branch got a decent internet speed. The coffee is good as always. The only problem is always there's a long line just trying to order a coffee. There's about 5-10 minute wait also.

#lovethis: #steepyoursoul sleeves at #starbucks #may2014 Known as the busiest Starbucks around town...and perhaps the nation or even world, this place is always bustling. The service is standard, so no over the top stuff going on. If you need your fix, you can get it here - but you might have to wait in a line. The Ward location near the theaters usually has no wait and provides the same service/Starbucks yumminess (hello, iced green tea latte with soy, please). (Only thing about that particular location, there are some interesting characters - see my review, haha: yelp.com/biz/starbucks-h… ) In theory, I think this Starbucks would be a great place to grab a drink and study (or meet with friends). But rarely are there seats or tables inside or outside, especially when schools are in session. There aren't many outlets to charge your electronics anywhere which is kind of a bummer...so for a person like me who forgets to charge her laptop, that is bad. Inside (which I rarely get a chance to sit and "study") is ok but it can get noisy. Outside (where I usually end up) can get stinky (a lot of cigarette smokers around) and homeless walking by. Plus, as a germophobe, I'm not convinced they ever wipe the tables/chairs. Ewww. There's wifi available but I've experienced laginess and a couple of disconnections when I was there - so as a tech person, I'd say it's unreliable. But, I get it....this is the go-to Starbucks around town. Centrally located, cool, hip atmosphere, and standard yummy Starbucks products make this a convenient location...but as I mentioned before, maybe the Ward theaters location for a quick pick-me-up or a short drive down the road to the one in Kakaako as an alternative could be better....#justsaying

I'm a Starbucks fan. Starbucks in one hand and my cell phone on the other. The Ward Starbucks staff are all friendly and service is prompt. When you're waiting for your wake up and your coffee is waiting for you, your day begins with a smile. It's always nice to start your morning with great customer service and someone knowing how your have your coffee.

Worst starbucks location. I was on my lunch break and thought I could come here and get a salad and a drink and still would have a little time since I have an hour of break. I noticed the girl in front of me get her drink first and so were a few people right after me. I came up to the barista and asked her why mine was taking a long time. She asked me what I ordered and saw that my order was in the mid way of the line. Really??? My order should have been right behind that girl if they go by line orders. So, I'm guessing the metrosexual looking guy who rang me up did not put my order in the proper line order. So I stand there waiting and I noticed almost all of the people that ordered behind me got their drinks. And on top of that, these people were ordering 3-4 venti drinks. I went back to that guy who helped me but another guy stepped in and apologized and didn't know why mine took long. He said he was the manager on duty. He did not look like a manager. From what I observed, he looked like he was in training. He was taking orders while the other guy was ringing up the orders. It looked like he's still trying to familiarize himself with the cash register. My point is, I came up asking for my order which should have been with the rest of the orders that was called, but these people especially the metrosexual looking guy who rang me up should have said something to the baristas because I have been waiting for a long time. But he didn't do anything and not even apologized. I have wasted half hour of my time waiting for my drink. Not a very good service and I did not feel like there was any sincerity to the apology. Lost a customer here. Now I know why this location has such low ratings.

Busy all day and most of the evening so if you're looking for a quiet place to unwind, a different location is probably a better choice. But the service is consistently good and the staff are always cheerful and patient.

I fully admit I'm a Starbucks addict...again...damn. Anywho, I love this location! It's near a lot of places that I frequent, so it's really convenient for me to get my fix from them. Their service is normally pretty quick, the condiments bar is usually well kept and stocked, and I love that they leave the green stoppers out in a cup (instead of my having to ask them for one every time I go there). I do get worried when they have new baristas, though. I don't really have an overly complicated order or anything: tall nonfat caffe misto. That's it, four words, but I've definitely had some of the newbies mess that up....which is kind of sad. Normally, I really have no problems there. The only real problem is trying to find seating. There tends to be a lot of outside seating available, but for those people who want to hunker down and need an outlet, indoor seating can be hard to come by. Like I said, it's a convenient location...and everyone else seems to think so too because there are always lots of people. There are frequently large groups of students having study group sessions. I've literally almost pounced on a table near a wall so that I could work with an outlet...oh well.

New secret spot in Kakaako, that had its grand opening in October! Found out of this place by driving by on Nimitz and spotted the sign. Decided to head over there to study. Parking: Seemed to be crowded or maybe because of lack of parking due to construction? BOO. Chairs: Already crowded! Lots of TALL tables and only a few couches to lounge on. BOO, who the hell can study on a super tall, amazingly small coffee table??? And they are ALL OVER the place in this location. Although they compensate by having a bar counter, but that sucks also because of its close proximity to the loud Starbucks blenders. BOO. BOO! When I was sitting at the corner end of the bar counter, there was black ANTS that kept coming towards my caramel machiatto and books! DOUBLE BOO, WIFI connection wasn't strong. I'll just study at home next time thank you very much, I'll take that caramel machiatto hot layered TO GO thanks ;)

This is the busiest Starbucks in Hawaii. There is always a long line, even though there is another Starbucks at the Ward Entertainment Complex. I have been going to this location for years, when they were originally located next to Pier 1 imports. Peter has been an icon barista.

Starbucks! I think their seasonal coffee are the best ones on the island. My favorite drink is Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Coffee:) It's taste so good and my other favorite is Caramel Macchiato with whip cream!
