Coworkers decided to order lunch from here. BBQ, that's my favorite! Big mistake! Being the only female in the office. Well in my office, the guys usually like quantity not quality. I ordered the mini BBQ chicken. Chicken was cooked however, tasteless, no BBQ flavor. Never again.. Took two to pick up the lunch. You need a driver and and runner. Parking is a challenge.

I love this place!! They open really early in the morning so my husband always tries to make it there for breakfast before he has to go into work. The breakfast combo comes with so much meat, (bacon, spam, sausage) eggs and rice and it doesn't cost more than around $6. They have a good variety of food to choose from during breakfast hours as well as for lunch. Their food is cheap and they give you generous amounts of food, like I mentioned previously. Anyone who is in the area should definitely come here and taste their local food. My favorite is their Katsu chicken, but then again, everything is great on their menu!

YUMMMMMY Garlic Fried Chicken!!! Maybe the best ever. This little corner BBQ place in Kakaako is legit. It's clean and the owners are also very nice and welcoming. I'm definitely going to come back and try their other dishes because me and the hubs went bananas for the Garlic Fried Chicken. Did I mention how yummy it is? Oh yeah I did already. Just go and try it already!

Love the garlic ahi here. The restaurant is very clean and service is very fast. Street parking only but there is usually plenty of parking on Cooke street. It is located on the corner of Cooke and Queen streets.

Among the line of hole in the wall restaurants along Cook St is this little gem. I'm not a hardcore fan of plate lunches, so I didn't think to give this place a try until I saw the picture for the breakfast combo on the window. I stopped in my tracks. $4 and some change for a breakfast combo? I looooooooveeeeee breakfast meats. I knew I needed to give this place a try. Truly truly truly, Queens BBQ serves up the breakfast of champions. In the mandatory Styrofoam box, comes a mountain of white rice, 2 eggs, spam, bacon, Portuguese sausage, and breakfast sausage. The sheer amount of food that comes in a serving is MASSIVE, with a capital M! Seriously, I think ordering this gives me my fill of breakfast meats for a month. Nevertheless, it's delicious, and a steal! Queen's also serves up an assortment of plate lunches--I've tried a few of them, but can only really recommend the garlic chicken. Otherwise, any of the other items are your standard plate lunch fare. If you're feeling fancy though, I would give the crab puffs a try! I really enjoy them; won tons filled with imitation crab and veggie, definitely a nice treat. Parking is a little bit of a spectacle here, since it's located on the corner of Queen + Cook St. There is no parking lot, but plenty of metered parking available along Cook St. Just pop in a quarter, run in and run out! I wouldn't recommend eating in anywho, the restaurant gets packed during the lunch rush, and the ambiance inside isn't much. Definitely give this place a try, your breakfast cravings will be beyond satisfied! Be advised though, CASH ONLY!

The woman working the front was not friendly or hospitable. I ordered the two egg breakfast. When it was done, they didn't even bring it to me, I had to get up n get it. Talk about odd/poor service standards. I opened up the tray & it was a very small portion. Tasted normal, nothing outstanding at all. If you're starving & have nothing better to do, go for it. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Fried chicken was dry and over cooked more life jerky fried chicken. New owners and cooks, just not the same.

Tip: the sign says new queen barbecue and it's located on the corner of Queen and cooke. I went here on a Saturday morning and the place had a regular stream of patrons. There's some seating inside. When the day got hotter, the owners turned on the A/C. Pretty standard hawaiian/asian food. No surprises, and good sized portions. Parking can be limited on the street.

Walked in to get a plate lunch and decided to get the Fried Chicken plate for $6.50 the Chicken was crispy and juicy so it was pretty good the Mac salad however sucked too watery and too much mayonnaise in it other than that it was a good deal with 3 thighs, two scoops rice and the mac salad. Seating in there is pretty adequate unless during rush hour parking is however a problem as there is only street parking. The people there are pretty quick and efficient and friendly enough. for the price I would probably go back again...............

I have been a regular at this spot for over 5 years now. This place was also introduced to me by my sister. Being that I work in the financial district in Downtown, I had colleagues give this place a try and we LOVE it. The fried chicken ($6) plate is a great deal. 3-large pieces of fried chicken w/ 2 scoops of rice and mac salad. Compared w/ Zippy's, Queen's chicken thighs were on steroids as the thighs are MASSIVE. The girls in the office also like their Chinese chicken salad ($6) with their "pepto-bismol" bright pink salad dressing. We often ask for extra chicken, which is $1 extra, so that you'll get lots of chicken w/ the veggies. I also enjoy their beef curry ($7) but you need to eat it there, rather than take-out. The rice will soak up the gravy quickly if you let it sit too long. I tend to order this a lot when I come here (see pics attached). If you are not concerned about carbs, the "mini" loco moco is also very good here (see pic). With the prices so reasonable, I once in ask some peeps in the office and call in my order so that I don't have to wait long for 15-plates! I'll admit parking can be a hassle on weekdays but I make it a favorite stop after my hike w/ buddies on the weekends. Not the cleanest place on earth but I can handle that place because of their CHEAP EATS.

Came in on a Sunday. No line. 2 other people sitting in. I ordered the breakfast plate (2 eggs, choice of meat (I had links), with rice or toast. It was delicious! All for $4.50. 4 links, almost 3 scoops of rice, 2 HUGE scrambled eggs (made it look like 3), and made perfect with no runny mess. My hubby ALWAYS looks at the kitchen, it was clean and organized. Will come here again.

You pretty much can't go wrong with any chicken plate here - katsu/fried/garlic/teri. Well except for their mushroom chicken which was mostly zucchini. The garlic chicken is great, though it is only a Friday special. Other items off the menu to try are the pork cutlet (but sometimes it takes a while longer to prepare and roast pork with gravy (I think this is a Friday special). Many of the mini plate are $4.25 - $4.75 which is a deal since they pile it up. If you dine there and let the cashier know, normally you will get a plate instead of container which has a bigger portion.

    (4)
  • Terry K.

ok, I've read everyone's reviews. Each review has a point. My point is this: For $4.25 you get a hamburger deluxe and a huge bag of french fries. The burger is broiled when ordered as with the french fries; not food sitting under a hot light. Yes, it's your local hole in the wall but it is a clean hole in the wall. I agree the specials should be tried if you plan for a plate lunch. Parking is a problem so if you're taking out- order by phone first. You might be able to eat in; they have a couple tables for those who want to eat in. Would I got back again? Yep! As to the quality others spoke of I can ony say we get what we pay for and on that sliding scale, I think the food is okay!

absolutely love their fried chicken, cold ginger chicken (tue) and garlic shrimp (fri). dim sum wise, their crab wonton is pretty awesome too. service is fast considering how busy they are.

You can't beat the amount of food for the price! I like that there's usually a small crowd at lunch because I know that they're cooking to order. Know what you want prior because the lady will ask you as soon as you walk in whether she's helping someone else or not. Hahaha. Great for lunch!

Went here for the first time today after a friend pointed it out, i had heard some decent things about it, and after i have seen it in existence for what seems like centuries...or at least a few years. Large portion size, good prices, tasty food. I got the mixed plate and ended up with what amounted to about 3 scoops of rice, one scoop of mac salad, A LOT of chili, topped with a relatively small hamburger patty and an extra large piece of teriyaki steak. The rice was rice...you can't mess that up and they didn't. The mac salad was really good...probably because whenever you mix anything mayo based with chili, it's got to be good!!! The hamburger patty was cooked well done and you'd have with a loco moco. I liked the chili, but my brother and sister thought the chili was just as good or better than Zippy's since it also had a bit of a kick to it. I enjoyed the Teri Steak because it was a little sweeter than i'm used to having and it seemed to go well with my mood, i guess. My friend got the pork chops and it came with about 2.5 very good sized chops smothered with onions. He can usually finish a whole plate lunch, and he only got through about 1.5 of the chops. He seemed pretty content, but i didn't really do my due yelp dilligence and ask him...shame on me :-P In the end, it wasn't a place i'd go out of my way to go to, but it was worth the price and a place i'd return to when i'm in the area again. Happy Eating!

This is my kind of food. The kind where you have to go on a day off because nothing is going to get done after you eat! I always see what the have for the special. it's a chinese place so you have to order chinese! I had today's special which was Eggplant and chicken. Look at the pics. Can't you see that the food is piled on the plate. I always get served a lot so I never eat there. I have to take it home and after you eat you go into this coma phase. The fried chicken is good there. I always get it and save a couple of pieces for later. Another thing, not too many places you can go nowadays and get a whopping plate for under $7. Save some for later too. One tip- Get the special. It's written on the dry erase board in the front. Big G

I'm always a late lunch eater (or early dinner) about 3 pm is a bad time to look for food. But, do-able. Found parking in front of ah-lang cause I wanted to try it out due to all the great reviews on Yelp. The sign said OPEN but,....unfortunately, it was for the Nail shopp next door. (lol) Oh well, I already put money in the parking meter so I wasn't about to move my car. Haha yes, I'm cheap! Queens BBQ was the closest thing open so, in I went. I ordered the Veal Cutlet in haste cause it looked like they were about to close. Sat and started to read the reviews. Whoa! talk about mixed reviews. I read mostly the bad ones and I think that was a good thing because I expected the worse and it turned out pretty good. Yes, the lady taking the orders is a little rough and abrupt(sp). Yes, the gravy tastes a little weird Yes, the place is dirty but, My Veal was good sized. I tolerated the gravy (maybe because I was hungry. but, wouldnt have noticed the taste if I didnt read the review). the lady wasnt all that bad. At least she dont bite. haha All in all I would probably go back if all others were closed. PS to the guy with the "short and to the point" review.....Id hate to see a long review. lol jus sayin

The breakfast special (or I like to call it, the Breakfast Coma); three bacon strips, two sausage links, two Portuguese sausage slices, spam, and two eggs over rice...all for $4.75. Quantity, quality, and price (but, not healthy). This deal can't be beat in Honolulu!

I always wonder if this chinese hole in the wall restaurant was worth taking a second chance after discovering that the food they served me, Teriyaki BBQ chicken, was not cooked thouroughly. It really grossed me out when I cut through the chicken and it was pink inside. A few weeks later, I figure I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again so they could redeem their mistake. I ordered the same plate as usual because it is always tasty. I got my plate to go and took it back to my work to eat. Hungry and waiting to get my grind on I proceed to open my plate lunch. When I opened it I discovered that it was the wrong order. Hmm....I had the urge to call and complain, but I just decided that it was my last meal I ate there. So disappointed.

Under most circumstances, I choose places that don't leave me hungry. Queen's never disappoint in that department. If all you need is to stop that lunch hunger so you can get back to work (like most of my days), this is the place to go in the area. Food is fairly cheap, large portion, usually quick service, all result in a solid 2 stars. The standard menu is very consistent. Their bbq chicken (as in griddled, not slow cooked barbeque) always taste the same, so is their fried chicken, bbq pork, teri beef, burgers, and fries. If you like any, you will continue to like it. Some items should be avoided though. Their cold ginger chicken is fair but the ginger-green-onion is laddled onto the plate, all the rice at the bottom is soaked in oil. Unless you are into that sort of thing, they become unedible. The New York steak is really just a thin piece of beef. It might have been a steak of some sort but it was never part of a NY strip. Prepare yourself if you are going to try it. Its tasty but it ain't NY anything. The ahi is inconsistent. Some days are really good. Some days are really bad. They are edible even on the bad days, just don't think ahi. The black bean spareribs (when they have it) is more onion than spareribs. The whole plate is drenched in a thick goo. Bleh. I would also avoid the mac salad. Don't get me wrong, I'll continue to go there. At least once a week. But it is an exchange of value, as in volume of food for a price. Not necessarily taste. Taste is a bonus in this place. Stick with the tried and true and you'd be alreight.

Local food. I just went today. Took some pictures and the lady behind the register asked if I was taking pictures. I said I took pictures of the food and I think she thought I was video recording because my camera was on the table facing the counter. She kept telling me I can't take pictures. Kinda freaks me out when people that work or owns the place has a problem with picture taking or video taking. I keep wondering what is it that they are hiding or covering up? Well I ordered the Teri Beef. Plenty beef and rice with mac salad.

  • Kona F.

So inflation is a bit.... Well, My favorite Steak and Ahi combo is no more. The Ahi has been replaced with breaded Mahi, frozen kine, and is now like 7.95 or something. Bummer. Atleast the NY Steak alone is 6.95!

One of my favorite places to eat. Have been working right down the road from them for the past 7 1/2 years and I'm never disappointed. Always generous portions! & the sweet lady who works up front always remembers me. One of their best dishes is their mochiko chicken. Would def recommend if you have an upcoming party or if you're just looking for a really good plate lunch to eat in the area!!

Queens BBQ............Parking is a major PAIN.............the sun is beaming down upon your head...............perspiration beads up along your hair line................the lady asks for your order in a not so friendly way, you pay for it and leave. When you get to your office and you open up that plate lunch box......well first of all the box barely closes because they chicken thighs are so big. Then you take your first bite into that oh so crunchy chicken thigh. Your head uncontrollably bobs in approval of its yumness. Makes the hassles and the sun all worth while. Cheap eating there.

Sorry Yelpicorn Believers! I've been gathering enough sparkles for a new reviews! The Yelpicorn has a new purpose on Yelp. Uncovering mythical business that maybe you didn't believe in or never even heard of. And speaking of sparkles, here's a good one to start! Queen's Bar-B-Q is located down the street from Imperial Plaza - just past the treacherous Angry Korean Lady Ah-Lang. Never heard of Queen's Bar B Q? This mythical place is in a sea of auto repair warehouses and drinky drinky hostess bars. And yes, this place does sparkle! The first thing that got me was the absolute cleanliness of this place. You can peer into their open view kitchen behind the counter to see how meticulously kept this place is. Maybe it's because no one goes here, but I'd like to believe that the sparkle magic of the owners keep this place nice and clean. The Yelpicorn needed some major calories to start a day of gallivanting and rainbow making. So I ordered a Loco Moco with Fried Rice. The prices are confusing - I think there were three different prices for this thing: a breakfast special, a mini size, and a full size. I somehow ended up with a full size for $9 and an extra buck for fried rice substitution. A far cry from the $4.75 breakfast special posted on the front door. My disappointment went away when the massive thing came out. A gargantuan beast had to be slayed at this mythical place, and I was just the unicorn to do it. I honestly believe 5 pounds of fried rice, egg, meat, and gravy was my obstacle. Even a Unicorn's Horn-ger was not enough to slay the tasty Loco Moco creature. Ask anybody, rarely do leftovers happen in the Unicorn's presence. But this day - I was defeated. Should you choose to take this quest, heed my advice noble enchanted food hunters. You get what you pay for, so if you order $11 for a gravy based meal - $11 of gravy will come your way.

I totally remember eating here when I was in high school. My mom worked down the street and she would grab take out so when we got to her job we'd have a ton of food to eat. The food used to be on point!! My favorite then was the chicken katsu curry. Anywho...fast forward about 8 years to today, my mom stopped working near Queen's BBQ years before and I haven't eaten there in forever. We were driving by and saw they were still open, so we ran in. They no longer had the chicken katsu curry, they had no teri pork, no steak. Too bad, the steak sounded good and the teri pork came a close second. Anywho...I reluctantly got the seafood mix plate with fried chicken. It was HUGE! Literally, the plate could not be closed. A piece of mahimahi the size of my entire hand, three pieces butterflied fried shrimp, two big fried chicken, tons of rice and a scoop of mac salad for $7.95. We also had a mixed plate with chili. $7.95 for a hamburger steak with gravy, teri beef, chili, rice and mac salad. The food is your standard L&L type food...it's just food. Nothing spectacular or outstanding. Everythings just thrown in the plate, chli mixed with hamburger steak gravy, chili/gravy all over the mac salad. That kinda grossed me out...but I mean, that's how it is at most hole in the wall places. If you are starving and are a sumo wrestler...eat here. The value is great!! Food is meh. I mean, nothing spectacular...along the same lines as Byrons and L&L. Well...maybe not Byrons, but the same as L&L. Byron's is slightly better.

Plate lunch place in Kaka'ako. Busy at noontime on a Friday, with plenty of variety and specials. Pretty good food overall, standard service. I got a mix plate of beef stew and orange chicken (the special of the day) for just under $10. Plenty of rice and the container barely closed because of all the chicken pieces and beef stew chunks. I'll probably get two or even three meals' worth from this one 'regular' sized serving. The orange chicken was really good, the sauce was sweet and tangy and I didn't come across any bad pieces. The beef stew's giant carrot piece wasn't cooked all the way through though, which is a pity. I look forward to the carrots. :( There are a few indoor tables but there's a nearby sidewalk area with tables with umbrellas which is pleasant.

Best deal for a breakfast plate! Seriously! Most places a breakfast platr will have one choice of meat. Not here at Queens BBQ. You get two eggs, a slice of spam, three pieces of bacon, portugese sausage AND pork link sausage!! We are talking a belly full of food here. And its priced lower than other places who sell a breakfast plate. You get all of this food for 4.95!!! (yes...that said $4.95!) The service is fairly quick. And you can call your orders in ahead of time. Just based on the rock bottom price, I want to give them 5 stars. But I have called and make take out orders and rountinely ask for my eggs to be scrambled or cooked medium or over hard. I have been known to get the order and my eggs are over easy. For the price that I am paying, I am okay not eating the eggs or cooking them in the microwave for a bit longer. I dont like runny yellow stuff. Over all this does not stop me from going back again and again. You just cant beat the prices and the portion sizes. Its worth checking out!

Note: It is now called New Queen's BBQ. Stopped here on a holiday around 11:30, so no waiting. Bus route 6 heading downtown literally stops at the front door. (Bus stop for 6 heading toward Ward/Ala Moana Center is kitty corner.) Remodeled not too long ago, the place looks clean. You can see them cooking. Lots of specials, lots of variety, likely something for everyone, even those on special diets. Inexpensive. Ordered regular cheeseburger and BBQ cheeseburger (BBQ sauce instead of ketchup and mustard). For 75 cents extra, I made the burgers deluxe (lettuce, tomato, huge onion slice, not just a few rings). Also got one order of fries (puffy, crinkle-cut) and an order of crispy gau gee (5 pieces). If you are looking for a gourmet or special burger, you'll be disappointed. Take it for what it is, a good, regular, local burger, and you'll enjoy it. The meat and bun were fresh, as were the toppings. Both the fries and gau gee were winners - hot and fresh, not oily or greasy. The oil was hot enough and clean, so the fries and gau gee tasted like they should, not fish or chicken or whatever else had just been fried. The gau gee was homemade and generously stuffed. BTW, they do take debit and cards for purchases $5 and over. (At the time I write this, the restaurant details on Yelp! say they don't.) My friend and I both gave the meal two thumbs-up. The leftover fries were even good cold. Can't wait to try the fried chicken and garlic chicken and more.

Stopped in after a good workout at a nearby gym. Of course, after all that sweat all I wanted was fried food. Ack. Ordered a mini mochiko chicken and a side of crispy gau gee. Oh, my. Hit the spot big time. It was more than I could eat and at an excellent price. So, great value overall. If you are not on foot, parking may be a bugger, but there is a lot of street/meter parking near. I'd add that they make the food to order. It's not pre-cooked waiting in a bin to be served. That's great, because it's fresh and hot, but a bummer if you are in a hurry.

Doesnt matter if you spend $100+ you are not allowed to use the bathroom. If i would have known that before placing my order i would have never ordered from this dump. Not only are the screwing you but theyre rude about it too. At least smile at me when im getting stuck Btw theres NO parking what so ever. You will get a ticket or be towed. The pos parking guy is religious about it

I have lived in Kaka'ako on and off for about 4 years. Now that I am back there, have to do a review for Queen's BBQ. I've only had their breakfast plate which has spam, portugese sausage, link sausage, and bacon with 2 eggs and rice for $4.50. It's ready in 5 minutes and always satisfies a post-surf craving. Minimum $5 for credit card purchase. It's oily as its all done on a plancha with lots of oil. Call your order in and come pick up. About 5-6 tables with lots of construction worker and people who work in 711 Kapiolani during lunchtime. It's on the corner of Cooke and Queen next to the old Tsukenjo's lunch house.

The parking here can be a little frustrating unless you're lucky. This joint is on the corner so you can't miss it. The place is clean and simple. Many people come here before they go into the office or work and school in general. Breakfast time isn't really that busy. The food is affordable here. We got the omelette with Portuguese sausage and the two large eggs and Portuguese sausage for the same price. Pretty much the same if you get the two large eggs scrambled and possibly more meat in it. They put a lot of rice on your plate. The rice is only okay. I personally didn't like how we had to buy bottle water instead of getting tap water like the restaurants behind this store. However this place okay for breakfast and it's affordable. It's definitely better than McDonald's Portuguese sausage eggs and rice plate and they are both around the same price.

had the orange chicken the other day. the chicken pieces was hard and dried out. I'm thinking they make a whole batch of these chicken pieces for their other menu items and just heat it up and put on a different sauce. looked and tasted like it was on its 3rd round in the fryer since the chicken was completely dried out. The orange sauce was to vinegary also. ended up not being able to eat most of the chicken and just ate the rice and salad. I used to come here a few years ago. I might be willing to give them one more chance.

BREAKFAST COMBO: That's all I have to say and that's all you have to order. If you are looking for a hearty breakfast that will satisfy your appetite without breaking the bank, then this will put a smile on your face. The breakfast special consists of two or three Strips of Bacon, a piece of Spam,Two Link Sausages, and Two pieces of Portuguese Sausage with Two Eggs and Rice for under six bucks. Now that my friends is a Breakfast that leaves me doing the Happy Dance. There are other things I have tried as well such as the Pork Adobo, which I have to say is pretty damn good considering it is prepared by Chinese Cooks. I like the fact that it is not drowning in adobo sauce, but it's made the way my Daddy makes it where it's literally made with it's own Pork Fat and see a lot of Peppercorns and Garlic and that's the way I like it so kudo's to those Chinese Cooks. Also, the Garlic Chicken is delicious as well. I will warn you, if you are eating this before you go to work, you will smell like a walking Garlic Bulb. The Garlic Chicken was crunchy and quite moist and not dry at all. I will tell you this, if you are a voracious eater, I would definitely suggest you order a full plate because the portions here are pretty huge so for you dainty eaters out there, I suggest you order a mini and it'll suit you just fine. New Queen's Bbq is the name now and not called Queen's Bbq. They do have four or five tables in the eatery but it can get pretty hot in there, and during lunch it can get pretty hectic considering they are very close to an industrial area with many auto body shops and warehouses are located. Parking can be quite challenge but there are quite a bit of metered parking along the side streets. And for a takeout place, it is actually pretty clean and not dingy or grimey like most hole in the wall places usually are. I have eaten at a lot of breakfast places all around the island, but I have to say the sole reason for me going to New Queen's Bbq is because of the Breakfast Combo. It's dirt cheap and it leaves me very very satisfied. And for those people who say that Chinese Lady is a Meanie, she is actually quite nice if you ask me.

The owner is so very friendly! That's what first caught my attention. Maybe I was expect an Ah Lang experience. She knows my voice when I place an order, as soon as I walk in my order is bagged and ready to go. Almost every dish is well prepared and seasoned well. Except for the veal, typical frozen then reheated. I had the veal on my second visit, thankfully not my first, don't think I would have been back if it was. Their mini plates contain a lot of food. My favorites are the pork adobo, garlic chicken and mochiko chicken. I am NOT a fan of chicken. If it's bone in I'll leave and inch and a half around the bone (don't care for the vein or to see them). To say two of their chicken dishes are my favorites means a lot. Great food, quick, fast and friendly service and now they've been accepting credit cards ($5 minimum purchase, of course) yay!

You average diner, take out join in Kakaako. The mochiko chicken is one of my faves. Sometimes it's and hit miss. The prices are getting higher as well. Starting $8 for Mini plates.

So this weekend I was playing some b-ball, and after working up a sweat, it was time for lunch..........For lunch I was thinking of the Fried Chicken Plate, at the plate lunch place on the corner of Queen & Cooke Street - known as New Queen's Barbeque. Now I swear it was called Queen's BBQ, but when I got there I saw a new sign that said New Queen's Barbeque........... When I walked in, it appeared that the place had a new owner? And they did a weeeeee bit of remodeling to the joint. The little take out restaurant now has a/c that works, and when you are able to get a table, you can eat in comfort. Upon looking at the menu, it looks like the prices went up a bit, but the prices are still cheap! Like I said before, I came here mainly for the Fried Chicken Plate..........I've had this many times before, and his dish has never disappointed me. The Fried Chicken Plate comes with 3 very large thighs, two scopes white rice, & one scope mac salad............. all of this for just $7.95. I know it use to be a bit cheaper, but $7.95 for a full plate lunch is still cheap now days. I see they now offer brown rice too, at an additional cost of $0.50 for a full plate lunch, or $0.25 for a mini plate lunch.......... Today's Fried Chicken was AWESOME! It was very HOT & JUICY, just like it came straight right out of the fryer!!!!............It tasted light,& not greasy at all. My friend had the Chicken Katsu Curry, which he liked very much too. Overall, this place has a very simple menu, & serves up great deals. There is no parking, for this place, but there are a ton of meter parking available in the area. I've never had a problem finding parking to go to this place.

I've lived down the road for quite some time and I have seen many people go in and out during there lunch rush. So today was the first time I gave it a chance and I must say it was very good. They definitely had a bigger selection of food then I expected. We came in around noon and I had the mochiko chicken while my girlfriend really wanted breakfast. They stop serving breakfast at 10:30 but the lady that works there was such a sweetheart she made her French toast after breakfast hours. I will definitely be coming back soon !

If you want plenty cheap food this is where to go. It's pretty fast on account of the lady is super sharp almost all the time. The food ain't stellar but it's good enough. Way better than it's neighbor tsukenjos. Most plates are 8.55 unless u want a mixed plate -the most expensive plate is the ny steak plate with shrimp topping at 12.55. Their now everyday specials seem to be adobo, ny steak, roast turkey, orange chicken, pork chops, and grilled ahi just to name a few. Mini plates are also huge ranging from 6.35-7.65. Breakfast is till 10:30. 4.75 for omelettes or two eggs and meat

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND BAD ATTITUDE!!!Saturday 6/27 - Pissed off and upset! Took 45 minutes for a pork chop all veg no rice and roast pork plate!! After 20 minutes of waiting and watching Customers after me get their food, I stood up and asked the counter girl with an attitude for our order!?! The counter girl looked clueless and with a smile the idiot then realizes she gave our plate away to another customer!! Then she apologizes and tells us she can have another done in 5 minutes! 10 minutes later the cook places a plate on the counter and the counter girl yells out "mini pork chop!" and the customer after us who ordered looks at me in disbelief!?! That's when I lost it!! It took an additional 10 minutes for my pork chops all veg and they still got it wrong!! Wtf!! This was the first time there and I told that arrogant bad hair dye disrespectful no common sense of a counter girl, I will never come back to this place again!!! after she gave me the salad 1 lettuce and two tomatoes she had the audacity to tell me she doesn't care if I don't come back! To the owners of this establishment, parents of this impudent child get some real workers!! So in order to post this I need to give them a star they don't deserve??? Thumbs Down
