Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. This place is very inconsistent, have gotten under cooked pizza with way to much toppings, and paper thin pizza with hardly any toppings. Who is training these people? Delivery has been on time the couple of times i didnt feel like picking it up, so they get a star for that. Tonight is the last time I order from here. Paper thin garden fresh pizza with hardly any cheese or toppings. Skip this place and drive a little farther to a different location or maybe Domino's.

Well now I know the next time I do return to this Pizza Hut, I have remember to bring a current coupon for the buy one personal pan pizza and get one free offer. I was very disappointed that they wouldn't let me use the older coupons because I had no problems in the past of using it but when I went in just to take some photos, I was told not to take any photos..and I was like was there a sign saying that I am not allowed to take photos. I was also disappointed that my the debit card transaction was used 2xs and I was like hello, I have funds in there..so I hope the next time I do return the cashier will be a little bit more friendly and not just rude and other things so that way I can enjoy my meal and I hope that they do inform guests that photos are not allowed because there's no sign posted so that way people will remember.

I have, or we'll had a favorite Pizza Hut in the Kahala area of Honolulu by my mom's place that I like to call in and order for dinner now and then for my mom and I to pick up. Apparently a call center operator that I keep getting has a strange obsession with bacon. At first when I would call in our order this young lady would try to push bacon onto my order, she was persistent, very pushy. I would firmly and adamantly tell her NO BACON back and then she would ask me why not, is it for strict religious reasons or allergies and I would tell her no, for my mom it's health reasons and for me it's health as well as taste reasons. I feel I shouldn't have to had explained my objection to this girls imposed bacon obsession. One night this girl took it way to far. I went to my favorite Pizza Hut to pick up my order and what do I see? I'm wondering why does this pizza not smell right. I opened the box and I see to my dismay a pizza full of bacon everywhere! Nice joke on me Pizza Hut call center girl. Funny! (Not!) A BBQ bacon pizza instead of a BBQ chicken pizza. F' her! I ended up staying a whole other hour waiting for them to make another pizza and on top of that they kept trying to get me to take home the bacon pizza and I refused. Already this Pizza Hut messed my order up the weekend before by using tobasco sauce instead of BBQ sauce on my BBQ chicken pizza. So disappointing and unusual of this location. I'm hesitant to go back to this location now. Shape up Kahala Pizza Hut and your call center girl too, your going to loose customers and money at this rate if you keep it up. My mom heard the calls between this call center girl and I, mom sees this girl's unnatural obsession for bacon. My mom said this girl must go home to this bacon themed and decorated house. Lol. Crazy.

Was unhappy with the giftcard system. Someone gave me $25 gift card but it's only useful in mainland. You can only use it as $25. But the cashier, he saw me being upset and gave me a free drink so that was nice of him :)

This Pizza hut is across from Panda Express in Kahala Mall and shares it's space with taco bell. It's not good or bad it's just ok. The people are friendly but not enough to make me want to come and eat pizza hut each week. The coolest thing is that they now have a monitor that tells you where your order is.. makeline, oven, or ready. I'm happy that our order was ready before sooner than I thought. They almost forgot our salad and didn't give us parmesan cheese. 31 yelps ~27/31

Prices were decent, but the pizza was sub-par. I'd also complain about the fact that they got our order wrong, but A) It was recorded improperly by the central routing service, not the local pizza hut, and B) After noticing their error, we were given the incorrectly constructed pizzas for free. Our "Hawaiian" pizzas had inordinately distributed pieces of meat, amounting to approximately 1-3 small, thin pieces of ham per slice. Unforgivable. I naively expected more from a "Hawaiian" pizza joint. The cheese tasted good, though. Worth it for quick, filling, stomach fodder.

Pizza Hut/Taco Bell ordered a pasta for lunch and was told it'd be 10 minutes, 30 minutes later we finally got our pasta. It was a individual portion that took way longer then they told us. We were walking up to cancel the order when it finally came to the counter. Place is clean. Efficiency needs a lot of work.

This is the rudest most error prone restaurant. They consistently lose orders for hours at a time. If you try to call and track down your delivery expect to hold waiting for a 'manager' for 20 minutes or more. They will make promises then still not show. Good luck finding that 'manager' again. With small children waiting two hours for dinner that doesn't arrives makes for a trauma filled evening as you scramble for something else to feed them. Employees are Consistently rude and disrespectful. NEVER eat or order from this place. If their employees are so disrespectful to their customers front of the house can you imagine what they are doing to your food back of the house?

All you have to do is read the other reviews on the right side of this site-page and you can see that I am not alone in my disgust with this restaurant. It's really bad. I can't believe they're still in business. I don't think they will be for long...especially if they hire managers like this one. Too bad there's not a box for negative ten stars... I am 64 years old. Can you imagine how many Pizza Huts I've been to in my life? Hundreds. The worst one in America is in paradise. That's a real shame. It's in the Kahala Mall area on Oahu, Hawaii. We live less than five minutes from it. The first time we ordered one to be delivered, it took them an hour and the pizza was cold. We figured, 'Well, it may have been a bad night for them.' And we left it at that. Last night at 5:39 we ordered another pizza from them, thinking we should get it by about 6:15PM. At 6:30 the delivery girl called us and said she was ten minutes away. Thirty minutes later she called to say she was here. So, at 7PM I went out to her car. She was on her phone and the pizza box was on the hood of her car. I opened it and found that the pizza was stone-cold and limp as a wet piece of paper. I told her I wanted her to drive the 4 minutes back to the Hut and bring us back a hot pizza and it should only take her about 20 minutes if she called the restaurant now and then just went and got it. She said that was impossible and started to get in her car. I took my money back and shoved the pizza back to her. I was having a low-blood sugar attack by this time and went in to nuke a Stauffer's frozen food. As it cooked I called the Pizza Hut at Kahala Mall and began my tirade. The 'Service' person said she had nothing to do with the service, and the manager of the Hut would call me immediately. At 8:30 the manager of this pizza hut called. I figured, 'Well, this is the apology and free pizza we deserve from these people in the future.'I told the manager about the cold, very late pizza and he said that he was sorry but that they were busy with customers all night. So...I am not a customer? I asked him why it took him so long to call and he said because he was busy. I told him he was going to get a very bad review today and his just told me to have a nice evening and then he hung up. So...three hours after calling in an order at the Pizza Hut at Kahala Mall, we got nothing, and were treated like we were a big bother. And by the way, their pizza tastes like the really bad frozen ones you get in the pizza section at the grocery store, the ones that cost about $3.99. The first one we ordered, that came cold, sort of tasted like cardboard. Just ignore and stay away from this Pizza Hut. They really suck. OH! And by the way, have you read the directions at the top of the 'Add Comment' page here' on their review site? Wow. They want comments about customer service but there is no customer service that will read it, sort of like the 'Service' person that answered the phone last night and said she had nothing to do with service...here is the quote from that site, 'The comments throughout CustomerServiceScoreboar… are moderated only by other users.'

Horrible customer service, had a raw pizza delivered, have had them go to wrong address, many problems when one particular manager is working, Mike. Tonight was the last straw, they have zero drivers, so we placed the exact order for about the 20th time, went to pick it up and the person read the order correct, to get home and find tomato sauce instead of the usual Alfredo sauce on one pizza, I'm extremely allergic to it, no pizza. Taking it back, never doing business with them again!!

I rarely order Pizza Hut delivery but when I do it's usually pretty good. Seeing as it's less then 2 miles from my house it does seem to take a while to get here. Tonight I ordered the pizza sliders 9 pieces and I tell you I really should've just ordered a regular pizza. All 9 sliders probably add up to 3 slices of pizza. I mean for $12 I could've got a Costco pizza with their huge Caesar salad. But oh well I was too lazy to drive today. 10 piece chicken wings for $7.99 ordered the garlic parm and I can tell you there's more oil drippin off them wings then there is sauce. All and all they've done better in the past and I'm hoping they can work on some improvements. I'm giving them 3 stars because I actually have enjoyed their pizza in the past. Maybe today is just an off day for them.

Called in the order and it was ready by the time I went to pick it up. I had a coupon from Midweek for $11.99 one topping medium. Best to phone in order, sometimes the wait is long if you go in person to order. Once I walked in to order and they made a mistake so had to wait longer for them to make a second pizza. It was their mistake so they gave me a cup for soda since I had to wait longer.

Okay so this review is like 20 years overdue but as the saying goes, better late than never! Pizza Hut is a staple of Kahala Mall and well, back when I was in intermediate school (a really long time ago), we used to go there before or after the movies. We also used to have dates there! That's right, I was a big baller and took my dates to Pizza Hut! What you goin say about that?! Well, I'm now married, so you can see my big spending payed off! But really, Pizza Hut's a good value and a fun place to hang out. It's also fun to put the reservation in your friend's name, like Frankenstein. They seemed to like it 20 years ago!

I give this Pizza Hut one star. If no stars was an option I would have given them none. The past two times we have ordered pizza for delivery it was extremely late, way past the delivery time. Tonight the pizza was an hour and thirty minutes late and the pizza wasn't fully cooked after we asked for well done. Their excuse is always because they only have one driver. Well if that's the case they should just tell me my pizza will take more then an hour to get delivered and not 40 min. Will not order from here again. Two thumbs down.

I don't usually write reviews, but I've never had to wait so long for a personal pan pizza, and then get told by a supervisor, "is there anything else I can help you with? My Brother is a manager at another Pizza Hut Location in Hawaii, sadly for him, he won't here the end of it from me. I waited over 30 minutes for a personal pan pizza, only to find out it was ready for the last 15 minutes. The young girl that had taken my order went to the back to talk with her supervisor, I know how it is, when you made a mistake, send in the reinforcements to save you. Another worker and the supervisor had to ask me what my order was, after I had given my name, did they lose the receipt? If I got an apology, I think I would have dealt with it, but for them to brush it off as nothing happened, I did not appreciate. I'm giving a 1/5 star because I can't give a 0/5. Hopefully you all don't get the same service as I did, and hopefully this is just an isolated incident.

Usually, I'm all for a Pizza Hut pizza, but lately, especially tonight, it's just been a BIG disappointment. I did the online ordering, which I must say was very easy to do and my order was correct and it was ready for pick up when I got to Kahala Mall - only problem is that the pizza SUCKED BALLS!!! First off - on any pizza, I believe cheese is a big part of it - but I swear there was hardly any cheese on this damn pizza - so much exposed dough. I haven't had a pizza from Pizza Hut in years where you have to pull the cheese away from each bite because there's hardly any fricken cheese!! Secondly - I ordered a Meat Lover's pizza, but I think the person making it must have something against meat because it was more like a "I-think-this-pizza-is-supposed-to-have-meat" pizza. That's right - hardly any meat or cheese!!! The part that blew me away the most is that while I was picking up my order, this older lady came by and had to tell them how great their pizza was - in comparison to the Hawaii Kai shop...how sad is that... However - since my son really enjoys their meaty marinara pasta, I will be returning - and I hope with all my heart that they don't mess with that recipe anytime soon, which is why I gave the two stars... P.S. I totally suggest that people order a pizza from Whole Foods Kahala Mall - a great price ($16.99-$18.99) for an entire pizza - something I will be doing from now on.
