As far as the food goes, McDonald's is McDonald. Sometimes you don't even need the menu to know what you are going to order. That being said, the convenience of the drive thru is the best thing about it. When it's going to take an hour to drive home, it's nice to have something to munch on and the dollar drink is a great bonus. I have to admit that the dollar menu pretty good. Another bonus comes from my wife. She likes her coffee and they will put the cream and sugar in the coffee for you. Try doing that while on Hawaii's "smooth" roads. LOL

Compact "express" location at Ward Shops, between Ross' and Sports Authority. I really liked how the manager reacted when the lines started to built up and opened another register. I know at most fast food places, the manager would just look at the lines or worst "hide in the back". Nothing extraoridinary about the food, if you ate at Mcd's before, you should know how the food tastes. Good time to visit this location is in the morning before the stores are open, plenty of parking at that time.

Aside from the Homeless peeps hanging out outside .. This McDonalds is very clean (inside). I love the morning staff. They dont exactly speak or understand english well but they know everything on the menu and the are very pleasant. Its McDonald for crying out loud....dont expect too much. Lol

Wow amazing...11-2-2011 and now 1-14-2013 My friend and myself went there at around 1:30pm. the line wasn't long and we got our food pretty damn quick..maybe too quick (like maybe the fillet o fish was under a heat lamp?)) Anyways...both of us got brown dry burnt fillet o fish sandwhiches...Hmmm interesting to think I have been to so many diff Mcdonalds in years and the one McDonalds I get a dried up fillet o fish twice is from this one...That in itself sucks lol. To be fair the other food seemed to be okay. I just will go to another McDonalds if I ever want to eat fillet o fish or any other deep fried menu item. On second thought I reviewed this McDonalds twice and both with less than positive comments and with my handsome mug for everybody to see on yelp lol I think it would be in my best interest to avoid this McDonalds period.

This locations has a limited menu but good enough. Always busy but able to get a seat by window. Service is fast here. Parking is busy since everyone is Christmas shopping in the area.

Why am I writing a review on a McDonald's? Normally, I wouldn't be but this McDonald's is special to me. This McDonald's is unique for two reasons. One, it's a McDonald's Express so they don't have the full extensive McDonald's menu. Two, IT'S THE ONLY MCDONALD'S I KNOW OF THAT STILL SELLS BAKED APPLE PIES. Yes, you read correctly! BAKED APPLE PIES. The baked apple pies are so good! I'm not sure why they taste so much better than the normal deep fried ones, but I'm just so grateful this place still sells the baked version. I think (hope) the baked version is healthier too. If not for the baked apple pies, this particular location would receive two stars. Yay for baked apple pies! 31 Yelp Reviews Challenge: #18 of 31

I used to come here a lot when I used to work in the area mostly just to get coffee and oatmeal for breakfast... Sometimes I'd get the cookies and ice cream for lunch which are the same at every McDonald's... I actually made a cookies and ice cream detour here last week and I almost forgot how gross this particular location was until that day! In the morning: lots and lots of homeless hang out here. They take up all of the tables outside. My husband and I used to sit in the parking lot and eat our breakfast and just watch homeless people digging in the garbage outside of the restaurant looking for old McDonald's cups and then they would go inside and get the cups refilled.... Or they would just be eating whatever they could dig out of the trash. This happened pretty often. The homelessness and drug addicts are pretty gnarly out in this area, period. If you want to be able to eat your food without losing your appetite, definitely get your food to go. It also kind of stinks (literally) inside of this restaurant. Makes me gag a little bit in my mouth just thinking about it. In the afternoon: the parking lot is super busy and cramped, especially during lunch. The parking lot is big though so I've never not found a parking spot. The lines inside of McDonald's are usually long during lunch. They get your food out as fast as they can but service sucks!

Too busy at around 5ish in the pm. Restaurant is Small and it feels clammy in the dinning area. Maybe their a.c. isn't working too well. My experience: After a long hot summer drive in traffic (Our a.c. broke a week ago) my family was very thirsty. So we went into this McDonald's for water before shopping. I didnt want to just ask for 5 water cups, which was free. Instead we got 5 dasani water bottles $1.49 each. So we can bring them into the stores. The time it took to get my water seemed very long. I understand that they have to do first come first served BUT the water is already made. Someone just needed to bring it to the counter. We waited a very long time. So I decided to just ask for the free water cups (which I should've done in the first place). Then our bottles came to the counter. I talked to the manager to complain about the service and he apologized and said thank you for sharing my complaint with him. I told him that I would be yelping him and his location. Here I am yelping: **I wanted to apologize to the manager for my inpatience. I could clearly see they were slammed. I understand nobody is perfect and I am impressed with your response to my complaint. You handled it professionally.

McDonalds is McDonalds, but the people who run this place do NOT understand customer service, starting with the Manager who clearly does not know whats going on. First of all, she takes a customer who came after me, then she proceeds to ignore another customer who has been waiting for her 3 ice cream cones. I asked another employee about the ice machine being empty and received no acknowledgment until after the third time. Keep in mind I was standing right next to him. Also, this was the theme of how customers were treated here. This poor woman waited again for a long time just to get a couple of napkins. To make things worse, its filthy too. Finally, when she gave me my order, it was wrong, she forgot my sweet and sour sauce for the chicken nuggets as well as my extra order of fries. Seriously, drive to another McDonalds.

When it comes to a mega-franchise like McDonalds, it takes a mega-standout experience to make you physically lose your appetite. It's not that standing unacknowledged at the register while the employees finish loading napkins isn't annoying enough. It's that they lack the grace to thank the customer for their order before wheeling back around to bag up some fries. Customers, ya know, just kind of get in the way here, it seems. (Even when you're the only, lonely one in line and it's not like they have much else to do.) But that's not what's off-putting. No, nooo, it's the stench. The horrifying, whatthebloodyhellisthat smell permeating from the drink area. Maybe it's coming from the garbage, I don't know, but I literally stopped filling up my cup halfway because I couldn't take it anymore. Between the stink and the fear that I was pouring bacteria laden, how-long-has-it-been-sitting-here tea in my cup, I wanted nothing more than to get out of that store. And here's the rub. The ice maker wasn't even loaded, so despite showing up at their store during an off-hour, being the only customer in the joint, with employees so idle they were loading napkins and chit-chatting, there was no ice. Ah well, it was probably full of bacteria too. I've heard the "undercover exposés" on the crap-ton of mold and filth in those dispensers. I just never think about it until confronted with a smell so bad, it gags you. Note to management: a thorough cleaning and customer service training would go a long, long, long way.

It has been a long time since I ate at McDonald's. .so it was nice to eat there and there has been a lot of changes. The thing that caught my eyes were the 20 pieces for 5.00 and the other thing that caught my eye is the dollar menu. If you are on a tight budget go for the dollar menu and it can't go wrong because it's inexpensive and cheap. Believe me, it's worth going if you are on a budget and most are open 24 hours, even on holidays too. So I will be back again to eat there and it's great place to go if on a budget and saving money

This store does everything wrong. There is no organic food. They serve coffee in Styrofoam cups. One employee just sprayed some sort of blue cleaner from about three feet off the ground and it was angled at me. About five feet away from it, I smelled it and quickly moved my drink. They could buy organic cleaner instead of that stuff. There is no bathroom at this location. It is fairly busy with locals and tourists (mostly locals) that like disgusting, unhealthy food. I don't like this place and if it weren't for the WiFi, I wouldn't be here.

Came here this morning as I had to kill some time for my oil change at my auto mechanic which is within walking distance. As I walked in here there were a lot of commotion going on as the soft drink corner was being taken apart. Both entrance doors were open and a lot of traffic going in and out. I usually have their $1 menu for breakfast with a fruit punch but was so disappointed when advised no soft drinks were available. Instead I was asked of either hot coffee, iced coffee or complimentary water. Sad to say, I do NOT like McDonald's coffee drinks (iced or hot) so I had the cheapest breakfast today. I understand this is fast food and yes, the food came out quick and barely warm. The muffin wasn't toasted and it was soggy. This morning's breakfast was sooooooooooooo sad...... Yes, I know......what can one expect for one dollar??? NOTE: For some reason this McDonald's attracts a "very interesting" clientele. As I was sitting down munching on my food and minding my own business, a lot of strange people came in mumbling and having monologues. At first I thought I was imagining things but sad to say, those people were talking to themselves.

Decided to have breakfast here after dropping off my truck for servicing at Cutter which is about a block away. The workers greeted me when I approached the counter & seemed genuinely friendly. I ordered a Portuguese sausage, egg & rice platter & a large OJ. Sadly were fresh out of OJ so I subbed with an iced vanilla coffee. I didn't wait more than a few minutes before my food was ready. Everything on my platter was hot & tasted good. The only downer was my iced coffee. It wasn't horrible but I just expected more vanilla flavor. I like my coffee super sweet so that's just my personal problem. I ate inside & listened to the workers interact with several more customers after me. Again, they upheld genuinely friendly attitudes. I was very pleased. The worst part of this experience was the gathering of homeless & skebei guys outside, taking up all the outdoor seating. Horrible view if you're eating inside & look out the window; I sat in the corner so I could look at the wall instead.

Er I don't even know if anyone would bother looking up reviews for McDonalds but might as well... So I've been here (specifically the one next to Sports Authority and Ross on Ward Ave.) maybe around 3~5 times in the past 2~3 years but EVERY SINGLE TIME the food is SOOOO bad! I mean really?! its a franchise for gods sake, how the heck do you even make everything so bad? The people running the place seem like they're goofing off a lot too. Some foods we had at the very last visit: -McChicken - super dry and tasteless -McDouble - same as McChicken -Fries - slightly soggy and cold Simply summing it up, everything seems super dry. My friends and I always bring up this place as a JOKE when we're discussing where to eat. Will NEVER eat here again unless this is the only source of food in the world.

ME: I'm soooooooo hungry! CATHY: Me too!!! STOMACH: (garble garble garble) ME: We don't have time to sit down and eat something today! CATHY: Where should we eat? STOMACH: Feeeeeeeeed meeeeeee!!!!!! ME: Gaaaaahhhh! It hurts! It hurts! CATHY: Oh no what can we do? STOMACH: FEED ME A BIG MAC!!! ME: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! STOMACH: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! So off to McDonald's we went by order of my stomach. Yes I know it's not the healthiest choice, but we were in the area and honestly, something in the stomach is better than nothing at all! This McDonald's is really small with only a handful of tables inside. We'll pop in here every once in awhile when we're shopping at Sports Authority. The biggest downside to this location is that every once in awhile you'll run into the occasional drug addict who just like you is craving an ice cream cone and french fries. How do you know that someone is a drug addict as opposed to an everyday citizen? Well the constant itching of body parts, continual fast pace blinking and twitching might be the first clue, but maybe that's just my personal take on the situation. BUT today's experience was exceptionally horrific. I ordered two big mac meals (one for Cathy and one for my stomach) and waited for them to pack my food. I walked over to the soda machine and a customer told me it was empty. A couple of customers waited for them to fill the machine with ice with empty cups in hand. A McDonald's worker proceeded to fill the machine as one of my tweaker pals decided to help her. As though watching a movie in slow motion, a woman (who I didn't know) watched as he proceeded to push some stray pieces of ice into the ice machine with his hands. ME & THE WOMAN: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! (Shaking heads in disgust and covering our eyes with our hands) We looked at each other and she proceeded to fill her cup with ice. She turned to me as though telling me a great secret: "At least our ice is from the bottom." She was wise and I was thirsty. We filled our cups with Coke, grabbed our food and parted ways. Completely traumatized I returned to the car with our food and did not speak of what had happened until AFTER Cathy ate her food. I wanted to give her a small moment of peace before sharing TMI. *** Dear McDonald's: I hope someone reads this review and sanitizes that ice machine. I will have nightmares about this experience for YEARS. YEARS!!!!!!!!
