Read the other reviews on how the food doesn't taste good and the service not the greatest and I have to disagree on both counts. I have not ordered all the food on the menu but I really enjoy the ones I order. (spicy chicken, spicy bbq beef, double cheese burger and other plates lunches). Both of the ladies behind the counter always have been very nice and polite to me. They even bring me my food after I place my order. If that isn't service for a fast food place what is?

Today I had the orange chicken with noodleand steamed rice. The noodles must've been there a long time because they were soft, medium and hard texture. It looked a little dry, but boy was it dry and the noodles hard due to being dried out. The orange chicken was okay. I have never seen small bits of chicken, but then I realized the truth. They throw batter in the mix and cover it with the orange sauce. That explains the soggy taste. I wish they'd put some real effort in making their food. I couldn't believe today a bus driver came in needing to use the restroom and said it was an emergency, but they wouldn't even let him use it. The cashier was just sitting there and the restroom was clearly not in use, but for employees only. All I can say is "Wow! Really?" So not nice. Poor driver. I've had him as a driver before and he's a nice guy. SMH.

L&L Drive Inn Mapunapuna *If you don't care for or eat L&L BBQ cheeseburgers then skip this review* My son and I went here on August 27, 2014 for a snack to munch on while we would be stuck in traffic. Whenever I go to an L&L I always order one or two BBQ cheeseburgers because to me that is their signature food or sauce really. Well pretty much most L&Ls taste similar in their BBQ cheeseburgers EXCEPT for this one. I've tried over 10 L&Ls on Oahu and let me tell you that the BBQ cheeseburger at this L&L was not good at all. I don't know for sure but I think the cook was running low on the original bbq sauce and made a batch of new sauce with the remaining bbq sauce mixed with katsu sauce. At least that is what it tasted like. Nasty! Awful! New secret sauce? I gave them 2 stars because the burger was decent and I've only been there once. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and hopefully the owner can explain to us why their sauce is different? But why reinvent the wheel?

We got the Nichole chicken which lacked a lot of flavor and bbq chicken. The bbq chicken was slimy. Never had a bad meal at L&L before. But what got me was my toddler had to use the bathroom really bad and holding herself. When she asked to use the bathroom they said it wasn't for the public but shortly after a regular customer went in and they allowed him to use it. When I looked at her she had made a comment that he was just washing his hands. WTF

I went for the Saimin Burger on the way to a UH game. A great worker's lunch stop the drive-in was no frills, calories on a plate, into the mouth. No ambiance, nothing special, but the portions were hearty and seemed to satisfy.

Food taste like every other L&L out there but there is 2 women that run the counter, one of them (Chinese lady) is really rude, I had 3 incidents with her and also saw a customer having a confrontation with her because of how she spoke to the customer. I asked if there was a rest room and instead of saying "no sorry" she replied "NO, can't you see the sign that says out of order" and walked away; whaaaaat!!!! I couldn't tell because the rest room looks like a storage room, then I asked if one of two orders on the counter was mine and she laughed and looked at the other customers like I was crazy and said of course that is yours...wth. I gave the 2 stars because the other lady (Filipino) is nice and polite. Up your customer service L&L!

I've never been to l&ls in such a long time! this one has two sides... local plate lunch side and chinese ala cart. I lived on lemon shicken at l&l's2 in pucks alley during my college years... no one has the lemon shicken sauce any more.... that sucks! lol! I had bbq shicken.... I think they forgot to put the taste because it was bland... lol! what's cool about this store is that it's right next to big kahuna.... I got a bbq pulled pork sandwich from there right after going l&ls :D

A friend of mine suggest ed me to here. their famous Chicken Katsu was really satisfy my appetite ! Brown rice and toss salad are available to substitute white rice. Garlic fish and shrimp with ice cream are my kids' favorite. Tasty meal ! Store Looks clean! Service is pretty good as a fast food restaurant . They bring food to my table when ready, not like other fast food restaurant, you have to stand and wait! We enjoy our drinks at our table waiting for food coming!

My wife and I kept hearing that this was a great local spot to try out. My first impression was the restaurant was clean and smelled good. I was immediately turned off by the personal conversation that the two employees were having. I felt like I had to interrupt them to place our order. The food came out very fast. I ordered the mixed BBQ plate. It was quite tasty. The chicken was some of the juiciest I've ever had. The portions of beef were cook very well, and had a ton of great flavor. My wife ordered the chicken katsu curry. The chicken was nice and crispy, but the curry sauce was lacking all the usual spices in a good curry. The sauce was actually bland. Their mac salad was delicious. On the way out my wife and I slowed as we walked out the door, just to see if the two employees would slow their conversation long enough to say good by, or thank us for coming in. Nothing. Not a word. The customer service experience was very lacking.

L&L in general has some of the worst "local" food I've ever had, but this location in particular is the bottom of the barrel. I should have known not to order the Loco Moco because they aren't that great, but figured I'd give it another shot. It arrived drenched in their trademark disgusting pale looking gravy and beneath that we're over cooked hamburger parties and absolutely horrible rice, so mushy and pasty I could probably use it patch leaks on a boat.. The restaurant itself is typical, nothing special but not too bad. However, this place has sealed the deal. I will not be eating at another L&L in my lifetime..

I stopped in this afternoon to pick up an order of french fries. I've been craving their wonderfully tasty crinkle cut fries (my favorite!) recently. I have never been to this branch before. The inside was actually bigger than I originally had thought. There was a decent amount of seating area if you chose to dine in. The lady at the counter was very friendly and pleasant from start to end. I will definitely return the next time I'm craving their yummy fries or possibly a loco moco or hamburger steak!
