I am not addicted to these cookies but bought them before going back to the mainland as gifts for my fam-bam. I appreciated the free samples! For being a small kiosk, their selections are up to par. They have a bunch of pre-made giftboxes with their signature shortbread cookies as well as you can "fill your own box" for a more personalized touch. Reasonably priced and the cashiers/associates are helpful.

One of my weaknesses in life is cookies. And Honolulu cookie company does not disappoint. I swear if I lived on Oahu I would probably be eating these cookies all the time and be 300 lbs or something. I love the different varieties of these cookies. The pineapple shape is really cute as well. My favorite ones are definitely the lilioki mango, chocolate chip shortbread, white chocolate dipped kona cookie and pineapple macadamia. Actually I liked all the cookies that I tried from them. It's so buttery and it has a good flavor. It's not too sweet so you don't feel overwhelmed with all the sugar. These are great gifts for souvenirs. They have some great gift boxes and you can actually pick your own cookies and whatever size box you want. The next time I'm on the island I'm definitely stocking up on some more cookies! Total for 5 boxes: $45

This is a great place to pick up souvenir boxes of cookies to take back to the states to friends and family. I really wasn't big on the cookies myself- I found them to be a bit too dry, but the man friend loved them and so did everyone we bought them for. They have a ton of flavors and you can sample them. The staff was very helpful.

The perfect gift. I love that you can put together your own box. Plus these cookies are so yummy.

I love to visit this location in the food court area of Ala Moana mall. They have samples of all of their cookies. The staff usually greets you. They give you a brief description of the most popular cookies. These are the best cookies I have ever tasted.

Yum! Cookies. Stopped in to try their newest flavor -gingerbread spice. Also grabbed a lovely holiday box to send home to mom on the mainland. Love that they have samples of their cookies in a variety of flavors.

how would i describe a Honolulu Cookie Company cookie?? well it's a small bite of heaven. yes... all the flavors of heaven you can imagine. Shortbread, Dark Chocolate, Coconut, Macadamia Nut, Lilikoi, Pineapple, Mango... Triple Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Kona, Kona, Shortbread in Dark Chocolate... I'm sure any milk or dark chocolate lover can find their favorite combination. mine are the DARK CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE, DARK CHOCOLATE KONA, KONA, SHORTBREAD WITH DARK CHOCOLATE and SHORTBREAD... ok, i like the LILIKOI too! my hubby and i chose these cookies for our wedding favors two years ago and so HCC holds a special place in our hearts. at the time of our wedding, they didn't have many wedding favor options, but as i peruse their website recently, i noticed their new packaging for WEDDINGS!! well i wish they had had these elegantly wrapped items two years ago... nonetheless, this is wonderful news for couples getting married now! i highly recommend these cookies for any special occasion! they are elegant, delicious, and the perfect aloha cookie! my most recent experience with HCC was when i recently placed an order for my hubby while he was working in Honolulu. Stephanie assisted me with my order and since it was less than a week away from Christmas, she offered to personally deliver my package to the hubby who was staying at the Ala Moana Hotel, just across from the parking lot. i was so pleasantly surprised that Stephanie offered to go out of her way and make a personal delivery for my main man and help make our Christmas apart special. it was an especially busy time and i was so grateful for her help. i will always be a fan of Honolulu Cookie Company! truly... forever and ever!! amen!!

Cookies are very tasty and has a lot of variety in terms of flavor. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The only thing to mind is that the price is quite expensive.

Going to Hawaii and need a gift for a loved one or coworker? Forget about anything made out of coconuts since it takes up too much room. Instead, get macadamia nut cookies at Honolulu Cookie Company. It makes for the perfect gift because they are easy to transport, everyone loves cookies, and the prices are reasonable. They have a variety to choose from pineapple to white chocolate and even some with no nuts for those with food allergies. Can't decide which one? There are samples up by the front door. One of the employees informed me that the cookies are made in Oahu so you're also supporting the local economy. Buy the cookies at an actual Honolulu Cookie Company location. You'll see them at other places but they might be more expensive.

Oh my heavens Lilikoi! Before I leave this little island I might eat up the Lilikoi supply, just so I don't feel guilty leaving it. This place had the best cookies. I send them to my mainlander cookie addicts that can't get this over here. I'm all of sudden the "cool girl" that lives in the Hawaii that feeds their Lilikoi fix. Anything Mac Nut is amazing. Buy it all, as long as you coordinate with me. This is definitely a fixed part of my cheat meal. I mean, they make the cookies so that I don't have to make a whole batch. :)

So here's something that perfectly fits all the parameters of the Japanese custom of omiyage (御土産, お土産, おみやげ) - it's edible, it is presentable as a gift, it represents Hawaii, and it's a Hawaiian brand. Usually having to find and figure out some sort of gift for various people is really a bother (面倒くさい) and this place solves that problem with various gift box sizes. I wasn't going to Japan or anything but I took a two week vacation at the busiest time of the quarter and I felt a little bit guilty about it. So to attempt to lessen the tension and pacify the h8ers among my coworkers (who knew I was laying on the beach while they were banging their heads and pulling late hours) I settled on the largest gift box they had. The idea of cookies was also perfect because everyone else always brings back boxes of Hawaiian Host Macadamia Nut Chocolates but I figured that would be just way too cheesy. Needless to say it was a hit and everyone made a comment about how GOOD the cookies were. Also, they were individually wrapped in plastic so everyone felt safe taking a cookie or two - little pieces of Aloha represented by delicious cookies in many varieties of flavors - what's not to like? Conveniently located in the Ala Moana food court - I got it there figuring they might not have a location at Honolulu International Airport so I wouldn't risk not being able to get it there last minute like I did when I was on the way to Honolulu scrambling for gifts at San Diego Airport. Parking - it's Ala Moana - you know the drill. Very reasonably priced and you can even sample all the different flavors of cookies so you know what you're giving is delicious and worthwhile.

People are standing in line and they close one of the lines. Two employees on their break gabbing while 7 people are waiting to pay. Japanese tourists buying tons of boxes so waited15 minutes in line. Took me long er than it took to drive over n find a parking space. Management seriously needs to attend to this!

Always a highlight for guests to the Islands. Not too sweet and not so little that you are grabbing for more. On Molokai- some of the teachers would always bring back some of these for the rest of us chilling on Molokai just to share. The servers are very friendly - and they are helpful too all the customers- there are more than a few girls working there and it is helpful as it seems on just normal days that business is booming for the small cookie company. Being different is good as you can try out some of the newer cookies and sample some of the favorites too.

Hubs and I were seated in front of the kiosk, and we noticed that this place was insanely busy. We wanted to see what the hype was about so we took advantage of some free samples. And boy, these were some good cookies. The cookies are gourmet shortbread type. They're like Girl Scout Trefoils or Lorna Doone, but better...and more expensive! I wasn't able to drop $50 on cookies but I did purchase the al a A La Cart box of 5 cookies for $4.50. My favorites were: Butter Macadamia, Pineapple Macadamia, and White Chocolate Coconut. All three flavors are butter, crisp, and very tasty. If I visit HI again I'll definitely be back.

Who does not like Honolulu Cookie Company!? I am very amazed by their business strategy. 1)They require little space for their stores. 2)They have store stamp cards which is so easy to collect and receive a free gift. They give you one stamp for each 5 dollar spent and for 10 stamps you get a small bag of cookies and for 20 you get a medium sized gift box. 3)They always have samples of each flavor. 4)They even have water dispenser when you get thirsty trying all the cookies!! (only select stores...not available at this particular location) Their cookies come in lots of varieties and a great souvenir from Hawaii :) Oh I alsmot forgot to mention...Their cookis are great of course. My most favorite is Kona coffe white chocolate cookie.

I actually liked this Honolulu Cookie Company location better than the actual store. This was just a kiosk in the Food Court of the Ala Moana mall, but it surprisingly had more flavors to sample, and the same types of cookie packaging and also the build your own cookie flavors box! I also liked that they give you a stamp card for your purchases, and you can earn free gifts if you get a certain number of stamps- and the stamp cards never expire! Overall, highly recommended that you stop by and check out the cookies at Honolulu Cookie Company. My favorites are the Guava and Chocolate & White Chocolate covered Macadamia Nut, but the bf and his family loved the White Chocolate Kona Coffee flavor. These cookies aren't cheap (a build your own large assorted box costs $12.95 for 20 cookies), but this is a souvenir everyone will appreciate receiving!

My friends and family on the mainland always request, nay, DEMAND that I bring home dozens and dozens of cookies from HCC every Christmas. I'm happy to oblige and here's why: 1. Lots of flavors, some plain and some chocolate dipped. No one's going to judge me if I pick out a box of Dark Chocolate Coconut for myself, right? 2. The packaging is ridiculously cute. Or sophisticated. Or chic. The variety to fit every occasion is what's so great about this place. 3. Rewards card! Get a stamp for every $5 spent and at $50 you get a small gift bag of cookies and at $100 you get a decent size gift box which is actually really nice. 4. Free samples! Do I even need to buy any cookies after all that?

I want to try EVERY cookie here. They have quite a few cookies with chocolate or coffee. I also got Lilikoi with chocolate. There is macadamia white chocolate. Pineapple. A lot of them are in the shape of a pineapple. You can build your own box of cookies! Yay. Perfect to take home or have with a cup of coffee or tea, or to give your kids a small treat for being good at the mall :)

Came to this kiosk to pick up some cookies to bring back to the mainland as gifts. Since these were a special request, there had to be something special about them. To be honest, Im not a cookie fan. So these to me were good, better than average type cookies. This kiosk played a video which showed where the cookies came from and how they were made. Service was great, presentation of the cookies were awesome and variety was good as well. So why am I giving it 3 stars.... Well, they're cookies. And to pay $22-24 dollars for a box of cookies is a bit extreme for me. Don't get me wrong, giving them as gifts to people were great since this is exactly what they wanted and it fulfilled every dream they had of getting them. I just know I wouldn't get these for myself when I can get something similar for half the price. But as gifts, the price is a non-issue.

These cookies are one of the rare tourist traps which I will happily go along with. Why? Because the fatty in me can never pass up the alluring sample bins of glorious shortbread cookies! My favorites contain lilikoi, but I can never sample just one flavor :x Yesterday, I purchased a small box to send to a friend on the mainland. It fit perfectly in one of those small flat rate boxes at the post office :)

Alex, I'll take "Things in Hawaii" for $500. Here's the clue: omiyage, souvenir, a gift for someone or a gift to yourself. My response: What is Honolulu Cookie Company? Yahoo. If that was a real Jeopardy question, no doubt that would have been the winning answer. Love cookies of all kinds and love the Honolulu Cookie Company for their gourmet shortbread cookies whether it's plain, dipped in dark, milk or white chocolate, with coconut sprinkles (yum) or without, it's all good. The easiest part is to taste all the different selections which they have in these clear acrylic boxes with little tongs so that people don't use their fingers. The hardest part is to select which ones to buy. The gift boxes all come beautifully packaged in nice gift boxes, shaped like pineapples, too or in fancier tin cans...and if you can't decide which gift box to select from, you can choose your own favorite flavors and customize your own box of cookies. If I had my choice, I would get all of the white chocolate, coconut ones - those are oh so gooood. Since these cookies are individually wrapped, they would make great party favors for any special occasion - weddings, bridal/baby showers, grad parties, anniversaries, and the possibilities are endless. And these cookies signifies something special, something local, something that is so Hawaii. Who wouldn't be excited to receive them as a favor or gift? There are several locations in town, Ala Moana Shopping Center in the food court, a couple locations in Waikiki, too. It's so worth fighting the traffic at the mall or Waikiki to pick up these gourmet shortbread cookies. Please visit their website for more details on their other locations and gift ideas, at honolulucookie.com . C is for cookie and it IS good enough for me, especially ones from the Honolulu Cookie Company! Enjoy.

They are like Hawaiian versions of the butter cookie, but so much more addicting with their variety of island flavors and chocolate dips.

There was so much hype on this on TripAdvisor that I had to check it out. Now I see why! The cookies are flavorful and rich! My favorite is the White Chocolate Kona Coffee. A kick of coffee with a little bit of sweetness. Loved being able to sample the cookies as well. I came back for seconds and thirds. You would too, trust me. Spend $50 and you get a free gift of a 6 pc bag of cookies. YAY! MOAR COOKIES FOR ME. If I ever get the chance, I'm coming back. I could order online but there's shipping and it ain't free. Ew.

One of my absolutely favorite cookies ever! It's been a while since I've been to this particular location and I remember the last time I came here it was just a very small cart kiosk. There was a really nice guy that held all my (one) purchase and walked me around to show me the new items and discuss what I was looking for. He even made sure to offer me a sample. And then when I was ready to check out, he took my things to the window where the girl rang me up. Very nice service, good cookies, and pretty packaging. What more can you ask for! :) #Yelp 365 Challenge- 074/365

I was never a fan of Honolulu Cookie Company cookies before, but after sampling cookies from this particular location, I now realize that there are at least SOME really good ones. My favorite are the chocolate coated varieties. Specifically, I can go Cookie Monster all over the Dark Chocolate Macadamia, Dark Chocolate Kona Coffee, and White Chocolate Kona Coffee. Not a fan of the Lilikoi or Pineapple cookies, but at least they're trying out tropical flavors, and at least the Pineapple Macadamia owns up to the shape of these distinct cookies. Tourists; I get you now. This cookie company looks tropical and offers a great variety of flavors and pre-packaged selections, so taking home a bunch for your family, friends, and coworkers seems like a good idea. Well, I agree, especially since I found out you can actually make your own assortment of up to twenty cookies for $11.95. Heck, I might even get twenty of my favorites just for myself. I always thought these cookies were WAY overpriced, but now I know there's an option with a pretty good value, and for that, I give in.

The cookies here remind me of big island cookies because of the packaging and especially those chocolate covered ones. The staff and customer service is good. They are friendly and helpful. All of the products and cookies and packages and bundles they have are nicely placed and presented. They have some unique gift sets for the cookies if you want to give them out as gifts to people and stuff. The prices are decent but still pricey for their cookies. The cookies itself are all very good from the chocolate ones to the fruity ones like coconut, lilikoi, pineapple, etc. Their kiosk is pretty unique. In every side and corner you walk around and go to there are cookies everywhere whether they are individually wrapped or boxed. The kiosk itself is conveniently located in the Makai Market Food Court at Ala Moana Center. It's right next to along by Cinnabon, Splash, Coffee Bean, etc. The Kiosk is always poppin. I'm so thankful they have this store in the mall...it's all over Waikiki, but I'm glad it can also be found here. Different types of shortbread cookies, but they're all amazing...what more could you ask for?

This one is so tiny, it's more of a section of Honolulu Cookie Company in the food court. Not as many samples but still, this is very conveniently located in the Ala Moana Mall!

  • Cherene R.

My coworker continually schemes to ruin my diet by giving me delicious cookies in the shape of pineapples that are possibly coffee-flavored, chocolate-flavored, or coconut-flavored and/or dipped in chocolate! He told me that they were from the Honolulu Cookie Company and I vowed that if I ever took a trip to Hawaii, this so-called company would be a must-see! I told my friend to take me to the closest Honolulu Cookie Company location and got me to the Ala Moana Center where I found this tiny little kiosk. It was a little disappointing because I was expecting something a little more extravagant, but I found it was just a tiny little place in the middle of the food court. At least it still had my favorite coconut-flavored cookies, which I ordered a bunch of. Yum yum! It wasn't until I walked around Waikiki and found that there were a lot more appealing locations for this chain. Oh wells. At least the one I went to had all the products I wanted and they still tasted great! If it weren't for the price and location I went to, the cookies alone would get five stars.

Since this is a kiosk in the middle of the food court floor and not an actual store, this is smaller (probably even the smallest) than most locations on the island (actually 3.5 stars for this one). We usually do our bulk buying (we also buy for our in-laws) from the one located on Kalakaua Avenue, near the Tori Richard store, on our last day. The ladies are nice at every location. This small one is usually pretty crowded with tourists. Samples are heavily encouraged at every location (one lady at another store, told us it's a shame that they toss the samples out, at the end of the night; she told us to use the water cups to grab more, if we get there at night). Even though we are quite familiar with the yummy shortbread cookies (since 2005), I can't stop my husband from trying all the samples; if there is one in the immediate area, he is there! Since they are located in most of the shopping centers all over the island, there are many tastings. He really likes the coconut-chocolate dipped combos and I really like the lilikoi ones. So many good flavors. Like with the others, you can make your own silver boxes. Get the rewards card- you'll get to a freebie bag, eventually. I agree with Veronica S. on this location being convenient, since it is in the mall.

Free cookie samples. Easy omiyage. Many flavors to choose from. Just looked at Rewards card, 10 pineapple stamps = 1 free pineapple logo bag, 20 pinapple stamps =free medium Classic Mix.

Small kiosk, but they have most of the boxes/gift sets. Ugh- at this one, the samples are right in front of the register... so you cant try as many since you are being watched! =P

hawaiian pineapple-shaped shortbread cookies are a great option for souvenirs to bring home alongside the box of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. they let you try before you buy and i was a big fan of the chocolate around some of the flavors and the overall shortbread texture. my favorite thing, was the option to assort your own box of flavors!
