Don't waste your money going here!!! Go elsewhere! If you are in Pioneer Plaza, keep walking to another eatery!! Ordered a hot pastrami sandwich ( $7.25). Lady asked if I wanted cheese, which I said yes to swiss. The first indication that there may be a sanitary issue is that she didn't use tongs to pick up the food, and I'm not sure she even wore food gloves......I wonder now if they even had a green PASS on their eatery...............anyway I also ordered clam chowder soup ($4.00) . Perfect meal you think. Not even close. The sandwich was soggy and tasted old like it was left overs being heated up. And I found out paying the bill that she charged me an additional $1 for the swiss cheese and didn't even tell me upfront there's a charge........and the clam chowder comes in 2 sizes which I wasn't even offered a choice. they gave me the large size, but there was just a fleck of clam in there, mostly watery soup, not the thick white chowder you are use to eating. Not even close to a New England clam chowder. I think the can version would of been better by far. Years ago this place was popular and the sandwiches were piled sky high with pastrami. Must be new owners or something, but it's gone down hill big time. The lady who was helping me was so busy talking to her friend or relative sitting in the place that she wasn't even paying attention to any of the customers. Bad customer service. Ended up paying $11+ for lunch which is a total rip off. The sandwich didn't come with lettuce, tomato chips or fries. And it wasn't even offered. A regular plate lunch would of been better, or even a complete meal at Jack-in-the Box would of been satisfying. Sad to say that my stomach was screaming yellow zonkers later and it was a miserable Friday afternoon.

9.2.13. Heidi's is located in Pioneer Plaza; if you're coming from King Street it's the last unit in the Pioneer Plaza (beware, you may get dstracted by the Hokulani stand, but just keep going!). I had come here a looong time ago & remember an enjoyable sandwich experience. It was a bit expensive for a sandwich, but from what I remember, they were pretty loaded. This time, our office decided to go with Heidi's Catering for one of our meetings. I decided to try one of their paninis this time around (all $6.50). I was expecting the same size sandwich as last time but grilled...sadly, it was not! The paninis were slightly disappointing. They weren't on sandwich style bread; instead they were on bagette type bread & they were tiny! Thankfully the panini filling itself was decent. I went with the Roma: Napa chicken, grilled marinated breast of chicken, grilled onions, fresh tomato, pesto, & mozzarella--aside from the chicken being a little dry, it was YUM! Not sure if I will be back again, but we'll see :) Yelp 365 Challenge: #244/365

Came here for lunch the other day. Looking at the sandwiches it seemed like they were priced all the same, $7.25. Ordered Heidi's Club (ham, turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce & tomato) on wholewheat. It was yummy though I only ate half of it. Should've just ordered half. There's tables in front. Don't feel like coming here again... Eh we'll see though.

I'm in love with their Heidi's eggs Benedict lol but overall this place is alright.. It's kinda pricy for me but that's downtown for ya. FYI if u choose to pay with card they'll charge 4% extra.

$10 for a soggy pastrami sandwich. It didn't even come with chips. Prefer the sandwiches at This Is It Too, just down the street. For the same price they come with chips, a drink, and a small dessert.

If you work in downtown or attend enough catered meetings, you start to get an idea of where the best spread can be found. Lunch Meeting with Heidi's or 1132 Cafe: YES!YES!YES! Lunch Meeting with Pizza Hut: "Ummm...I have to finish this report by the end of the day...I don't think I can make it..." Having enjoyed my fair share of Heidi's sandwiches, I was excited to go to their location in Pioneer Plaza and pick out my own sandwich! I recommend the Combo which comes with half a sandwich and soup or salad for $8. I chose the L.A. Express (Turkey, Bacon, Guacamole, Swiss Cheese, Tomato, and Sprouts) with Cream of Broccoli soup. I was very pleased with my sandwich. The flavors were good and the sandwich stayed together despite being stuffed with delicious goodies! It was not as AMAZING as I remember, but the difference lies mostly in the fact that catered sandwiches at meetings are usually free. As a broke college grad, free always tastes good to me! The soup was also tasty, but not the BEST Cream of Broccoli I've had. (You win, Mom!) I will be back the next time I crave a sandwich for lunch!

This is a nice place to have a meal compared to some of the other grungy places nearby. This place sits in the lobby of the Pioneer Plaza at Fort Street and King. The ambiance is pleasing - clean, modern and quiet. For the visitor to Hawaii strolling downtown, you will certain feel safer here than in nearby Chinatown or further up Fort Street. This place is located within walking distance to nearby Aloha Tower Marketplace and the food is much better. This place specializes in sandwiches and the chili is tasty and cheap.

They have different types of foods such as sandwiches and local foods but the best part of it is that they deliver! Call to see if you qualify for free delivery. Otherwise, there is seating at the Pioneer Plaza to eat your lunch. One of the most popular spots within the Pioneer Plaza food strip.

Went here for lunch today, and ordered a Cobb Salad. I like Cobb Salads, they are filling, have lots of variety, are simple to make so people don't mess them up typically, and most places have a variation. At Heidi's, they have a Cobb Salad, it just wasnt very good. Pros: Massive salad portions Cons: Instead of Avocado, they have what appears to be a (poorly) pre-made guacamole. Instead of Bacon, they were bacon bits, which were really thick and hard, not crunchy. The eggs are pre-cut and kept in a container, so they get mashed and torn up when they put them in the salad, which isn't very good. The serving of meat they use is very little. Only a tiny, almost not even noticeable amount of feta. The dressing was awful. It lacks flavor and is incredibly oily. The bottom of my plate was pooled in oil.

Sandwiches and salads are good here. They have a pretty decent assortment of sandwiches and salads too. Platters are convenient for office functions and they deliver for a mere $5.

Worse sandwich I have ever eaten, literally taste like rubber. Aside from that the lady making the sandwich acted like she was annoyed. Should have been my first clue. Yuck. Poor service and good.

It was ok. It tasted fine. I had the Italian Combo. Not sure what the combo was as it was just a sandwich. For downtown the price is average. The employees don't wear plastic gloves when they make the sandwiches. If you have a problem with them touching the bread and meat and whatnot this isn't the place for you. I doubt I'll be back with so many choices downtown.

Heidi's for breakfast is a treat from the normal breakfast, I usually get the Omelets which are great and are something I recommend for breakfast here you have your choice of ingredients or get the Bayou or the Country breakfast these are winners. Their sandwiches are good too but something I haven't got in years here as I usually stop by only for breakfast.

Heidi's is located on the first floor of the Pioneer Plaza on the Merchant St. side of the building. Heidi's offers a decent selection of sandwiches and breakfast plates. I ordered the Heidi's Eggs Benedict for a little over $7. Instead of Canadian bacon, Heidi's substitutes in a generous portion of thinly sliced ham, turkey, and a single bacon strip (YUM!). Portion wise, this has to be one of larger eggs benedict I've eaten. Heidi's has potential to be a solid 4 star secret for downtowners, and I will return...

Had an LA Express: On 7 grain ... Turkey, bacon, guacamole, swiss cheese, tomato & sprouts. So ono! Andy's is better, but if I was downtown near fort street for lunch I would go here. They deliver too! Ideal for feeding clients at a lunch presentation.

It was like stepping into a time machine - I hadn't been here in 15 years and it was EXACTLY as I remembered it! Cute! I was back after 15 long years for a blueberry muffin top- I remembered the buttery goodness and couldn't wait - they were OUT!!! Ugh! Undeterred I went for it and got the full calorie blueberry muffin - it was delicious!! Four stars for helping me relive my 20s - one star missing because it would be unfair of me to give 5 stars to a place where I've only ever eaten one thing off the menu...
