Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

Out of all the other fast food places Burger King in my opinion has the best burgers and surprisingly good pancakes. We frequent the Dillingham location because it's on our way to work. Carissa is always so friendly and sweet!

I used to like this place as a treat to ourselves. Today is the last time I go. I ordered a whopper - I got yellow lettuce cut from the core of the lettuce, unseasoned burger, I asked for no mayo- it's smothered in it. Burger isn't hot or warm or room temperature. It's cold. The bun is dry and cracked. I really can't see spending $8-$10 for a burger meal when I get this. Lunch time is almost over, so I don't have time to go back to the shop. I'll try to call later today to complain. The burger itself is thin and grey. Disgusting and disappointing. The onion rings were mushy and taste really old.

I've never thought of writing a review for a fast food chain but here I am, making "Yelp a better Yelposhere." Yeeee Okay so I had finished all my chores on my lovely Sunday off and my breast friends (no typo) picked me up to get some fatty food for our hungry fetgirl hearts. To be honest, I wanted to go to Jack in the box to get their cheese cake but my friend mentioned their chicken nugget deals and we immediately agreed to it--I mean why not lol. Smack right in the heart of Kalihi (where's the actual heart of Kalihi?) This place sits at Dilingham Blvd. In front of Dilingham Shopping plaza. It has been around here for such a long time, next to Popeyes and what used to be Sizzlers on the left. Great location to walk to if you're from the area. Parking was a breeze- just enter the parking lot then boom! Out of the car. I don't visit burger king so I'm not quite familiar with their menu but I got a jr. whopper meal because i keep hearing it on the commercials. Okay im not going to lie, but the jr bacon whopper was full compared to McDonald's regular $1 burgers. I was kinda amazed that It had lettuce, tomato, and onions in it because basically, if you're only getting the burger, you're getting a good deal..for a $1...well plus tax. The fries were also cooked perfectly and salted nicely. I substituted the drink for a caramel frappe, which was blended beautifully but it didn't taste like caramel.. but I didn't mind because it was still good. My friend got the chicken nuggets but unfortunately they were a bit small lol. Besides the order, I really dig the interior because they had renovated the place. It was clean, and the employees were very friendly. Other than that, we enjoyed dining in and pretending to be queens in their complimentary bk crowns.

Regardless of how healthy I try to eat on a regular basis, I always have room for Burger King, the best fast-food chain in existence (in my very biased opinion). Because it's my favorite I'm picky about where I go, namely because of cleanliness and quality of food. This location was recently remodeled. The dining room is very modern and always completely clean. There are booths, tables, and high top tables. The restrooms are generally clean. The staff at this one seems to work efficiently with one another, usually on the weekends the cashiers are young and competent. On BK in general: I love that the burgers are fire grilled, not fried. The simple veggies and sauces on the whopper are perfect. The fries are always hot and crispy. I always go with a big unsweetened iced tea to combat the saltiness. This is one of my favorite weekend fun food locations!

Don't usually frequent Burger King because there isn't one near my home (translate that to convenience!). However, with ads on tv showing their summer bbq offerings, I succumbed and drove over to Dillingham Burger King to try it out! Oh my goodness!!! The orange freeze was tasty and refreshing and the satisfries were ONO (see my tip)! The new extra long cheeseburger on a hoagie bun with double patties and onion rings inside was delicious. And I love honey bbq wings so the new honey bbq chicken strips were a "must try" - it comes in 3-piece or 5-piece orders. Great sauce, with just the right amount of tang! And did I mention the cinnabons for dessert? Woo hoo! Winner! Definitely worth the trip to try Burger King's summer bbq menu! Try it for yourself, and tell them Holly sent you!

Yelp 100 Challenge #36/100 This Burger King in Hawaii Kai has been here for a while. They just recently remodeled and the inside is pretty nice now. Before it was fine, but with the new look it has a great new look which I like. The one thing I notice with this Burger King is the food takes about 5 to 7 minutes to come out, which is fine. Just something I notice here. I usually like to order my burger with no mayo and ketchup. They haven't ever got that messed up and I always get it my way. Great! Like other Burger King locations you can get free refills and the machine is out for you to fill up your beverage to your hearts desire. Also, parking here is never, ever a problem. Definitely a plus! Overall, I like this Burger King and will keep on coming back. Mahalo and Aloha Burger King Ohana in Hawaii Kai for serving me all these years!

I was craving junk food and I was around the Dillingham area, so I just popped in here for a quick bite. You get what you get from these national fast food chains and often times it does fit the bill for your budget. For me, I can't come here too much or else I will gain weight and I can't stand that. Just once in a long while, I will come here for food, which is doable when you're crazy for french fries and what not. I can't really say anything else about Burger King, although the place is relatively clean and the service is good. Whatever you know about Burger King is really self explanatory. Just an in and out kind of day for me, when I just wanted a whopper and a fries combo meal. Sometimes the parking here sucks, with all the traffic coming off of Dillingham Blvd for meal time, but other than that, it's a pretty good place to just chill out. Thankfully, this Burger King is smack dab in between the Sizzlers and Popeyes.

Convenient location off of Dilingham between Popeyes and Sizzlers, but that's about it... Two instances within the past month will prompt me not to stop here... 1) Wrong Order given to me in Drive-Thru...suppose to be a chicken sand meal with rings, but received a whopper meal with fries...no time to return because of meeting. 2) This time correct order...however when reached my meeting, I discovered about a teaspoon of coffee grounds in my coffee. Bottomline, I will not give this location a third opportunity to waste my money...

Outside is still Kalihi. Can't change that - it changes you. Burger King has changed. The seats are no longer the same old plastic molding form fitted to to match an elephants stomach. This BK has redone their interior better than any other BK IMO. From the Seating to the bathrooms.- all that is missing is the open bar. In New York and a few other places - they have installed liquor licenses to serve cold beer and wines and a few other spirits in the BK. I bet that those places look just as good on the inside as this BK does. It really does look as good as a bar and way better than a few bars I have visited lately here in Honolulu. There is raised high bar back chairs and hip comfortable long table spaces. There are bench seating and airy chairs easily moved and crowded around friends for some food (notice I haven't said good food- remember we are still at BK not Ryan's or Roy's). It could easily be overrun by high school students that think they own the place and are rude- but the times I have gone in, it is mostly just senior citizens getting a normal meal slowly walking back and forth to the soda machine and back to their papers to eat. So the noise level is way quieter than say McD on Beritania. It is smaller inside than at say other McDs or BKs but that is just fine. The strip mall space is just right for that kind of area. The down side is that there are only 2 bathrooms, as in only 2 people can occupy at a time 1 each room. Sometimes there can be a wait. Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue would be proud of his suggestions to the open market that a good restaurant caters, changes and updates the interior of the business so that people feel more invited and welcomed into the dining experience. Menu -wise there are some new things to try. Their big mac is better than the McD big mac so they ripped that off but at least made Thiers taste way better. Onion rings are always better than McD fries. And they have 2 types of fries just like Jack in the Box does so that people can get upcharged and have even more choices that they really don't need. They have a desert menu that is so much like Wendy's that there are choices galore. I don't know what happened to just making a good big burger any way the customer wanted but it got lost in translation with BK trying to be like every other fast food place around. I like BK. I like the food. I eat there because I like eating a whopper- it is not as good or as big as when I was a kid but I still like it.... The inside just makes it that much more enjoyable.

giving at two, just because it's renovated... But on the the other hand.. SLOW, SLOW and Hella Slow. It took 20 minutes just get our food... The food is okay I guess, I would prefer McDonald's even though the food make me shit a lot.

Overall was decent and the food was good but I had to return to the counter twice to fix mistakes with the order. Manager and employees were all pleasant and resolved the issues quickly. Would have given five stars if things were all right in the beginning.

This review is for Saturday, June 7, 2014. Drive thru service was fun, pleasant and most of all, interactive. We ordered a large French fries, onion rings and a mango smoothie for my granddaughter. Not only was the order taker fun and actually smiled when we paid at the window. This was a most pleasant person I have ever met at a Burger King.

SUPER F A I L for charging $2.29 for one of my favorite breakfast items: Cheese Bacon BK Wrapper. I have seen my favorite item shot up for the past two years. First, it was $1.49. Then, $1.99. Now? $2.29 FOR ONE? Sorry! You're pushing it. Sigh my favorite item gone. $3.29 for a large ice coffee is also a gimmick since I brew my own coffee for a while now. At least there are other options. I still managed to get some items for a great price though. I guess the high prices may be due to a shortage of ingredients or to support their new line of shakes, ice cream treats, and deserts. Now, the super plus side. Ok they may be expensive, but I really really love their BK Stacker sandwiches and Chicken Fries. The food on either side of the menu taste great, but I avoid the veggies. I know. What a bad role model, but I just don't like the taste of tomatoes or onions. Despite the price hikes, this is still my favorite fast food franchise next to Jack in the Box. Wendy's is third and McDonalds is dead last. Yeah I prefer the king or the guy wearing the gigantic ball on his head than the clown. Cheers

It's not good for me but I'll still eat it! Love drive-thru. No long waits when I go. Unless I hot the lunch rush. Friendly person on the other end. Always a surprise when you see who they are (what they look like) when you get to last window. I always order the Original Chicken Sandwich with no lettuce Meal. Yum-OOOs

Go to the brand new McDonald's across the street instead. Went here last Sunday. They got my order wrong. No problem. Took a manager to straighten it out. (Mind you, the error was just that I ordered onion rings and they gave me fries instead.) Manager glared and snarled and was generally unpleasant as if I screwed up somehow.

It's fast food so it's not the greatest but my last experience here was good. First I want to say that I really like their new menu. I like the variety they have now. They have a mushroom and Swiss burger and even a burger with an onion ring on it (yum) and now the Bacon Frosty (but think that might only be a summer thing). When I went to this BK, I was really happy with service. The women at the counter were really friendly. It was a busy hour so my food took a few extra Min's but not long, and the workers were still apologetic
