I stopped coming to this area once 99 Ranch closed down because I was not able to drive yet. Years passed and I forgot about this place. Last week my mom and brother came back from a shave ice run and I asked them where they went. I was so glad Bee's Dessert House was still in business! So of course, I asked my boyfriend if we could stop by and was not disappointed :) I grabbed shave ice with ice cream and mochi balls. And yes, they have mochi ball tea! Yummm. When I'm not up for a drive to Waiola, I'll come here.

When they have fresh watermelon, that bubble drink with white mochi is awesome! The other fruits are great too, and I think they are one of the few places that has a variety of bubble drinks, shaved ice and desserts. They even serve teriburgers, but I have never tried it, so I can't rate it. The one of the owners looks grouchy when you order, but she will serve you in a heartbeat, and accomodate your request, so I give it a 5 star because of the service and the variety of bubble drinks they serve that's reasonable and really refreshing to drink.

Strawberry-Lychee Icee! Mmmm...it is blended to perfection and so smooth it is almost creamy. It is a little pricey to drink every day ($4), but whenever I am in the area, I am so tempted to get one! After reading these reviews, I want to try their boba too!

Bee's in a boba tea kiosk in the food court side of same of the building the late Ranch 99 was in. Ranch 99 closed like two years ago, but Bee's is still there. Bee's isn't just boba tea. They also do MOCHI ball teas. So different. I got a small taro-coconut with mochi balls for $4. They also have Roselani ice cream, awesome brand. Try the haupia ice cream and thank me later. They have shave ice, coffees, slushes, smoothies. Getting here is kinda tricky. You have to exit Pu'uloa, toward the airport, left on Pukoloa, left on Mapunapuna and take it all the way to the end. Bee's in on the Ewa side of the building. While you sip your mochi ball drink, you can walk around and peruse the Chinese jewelry and feng shui stands. But don't buy anything. I bought a pair of earrings. One broke as soon as I put it on. Was it cheap or am I a brute? A brute with awesome mochi balls in my mouth.

I like their boba more than any other. The very best part of them is that you don't have to get it with tapioca, but with mochi balls instead! Sure it costs more, but it tastes so much better that way!! Going back here always brings back memories of times when my friends and I frequented Ranch 99... yeah, its so sad to see it closed. The burgers are really simple and not spectacular, but they taste really good. I remember wavey cut fries... but I guess they don't stock them anymore. Also, the owner used to let us substitute the drink in the combo for a boba by taking the cost difference of the drink.... but I guess not anymore TT__TT Eh, the desert is where its at anyway. Even the shave ice has so much options. The boba can come in the tea variety or the blended style, so make sure you make that distinction, because sometimes I've forgotten to say and got one when I wanted the other.

Located in the old 99 Ranch food court this is a hidden gem. Love the boba teas here! Never a long wait to get your order and tons of parking.

Awesome place... I always order honey dew pearl, hamburger and fries.. Very fast service and kind workers.. Always busy too.. There's always a line every time I go..

Read all these reviews and figured I'd take my mom on Mother's day for a treat after shopping for the day. We shared the #1 Shave Ice bowl which was the Snow Cap or something like that. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten that bowl because there was too much azuki bean, but the rest of it was good. The ice with the condensed milk and rainbow jelly as well as the mochi balls was delicious. Most likely will come back for more if I'm in the area by Ranch 99.

  • Nicole K.

My grandparents would take me to 99 Ranch all the time. I remember I'd get Korean food or sushi, and then I'd book it over to Bee's for a bubble drink :) They're pretty cheap, and their bubble drinks are so good. It's not watery or chalky..like the one in Ala Moana. I also like their shave ice. So many toppings, and I love snow caps. I think this is a really good place to get dessert after a meal. That's probably why they've stayed in business so long.

Azuki bean with mochi ball, ice cream, shave ice with strawberry and lilikoi syrup topped with condensed milk! Yum!!!!!, If you haven't tried Bee's you should. We stumbled upon this place through Yelp. What a find. The bubble teas are great. Green tea shave ice is wonderful.

I was brought here by my coworkers for a Coconut Taro bubble tea smoothie. The place is reasonably close to our office and I'd been hearing about it for over a month. When I finally made it here, I was a bit suspicious of the place, but went ahead and ordered the highly recommended Coconut Taro bubble tea smoothie. Not only was this the best smoothie I've had in a very long time, the experience with the people here made it even better. If you like delicious smoothies in a used-to-be food court, you have GOT to check out Bee's Desert House in Ranch 99.

  • MissJ D.

This place has good bubble drinks. We tried the coconut and taro root. Wow, that was good. They're in an in-door shopping center that has a lot of other food too. I agree that the employees don't go out of the way to be friendly.

    (3)
  • Jessie R.

You'd think that after 99 ranch closed down, the food court would too. Surprisingly though, this place has a lot of business. They have possibly every liquid dessert you could ever think of. I got a lychee bubble drink and after the first sip I went "ZOMGWTF?!". In a good way. This makes the top of my bubble drink hitlist. The lady gave us free mochi too :) I love you Bee's.

  • Greg A.

Went there today for their hamburger special which includes French fries & a drink. They are usually pretty good but the last few times there the fries are terrible! Looks like they never change the oil & just reheat old fries in old oil! Fries come out dark, burnt, just awful!

    (1)
  • Michiko H.

Great little tucked in dessert shop, has some great flavors. Service isn't that great the ladies can be rude sometimes and it's cash only but there Mochi balls are DELICIOUS!

A quest to find a suitable replacement for my Momi Milk Tea from Coffee or Tea brought me here to Bee's Dessert House. I was not disappointed! I haven't had any reason to make a visit to what is now called "Moanalua Ethnic Village". Bizarre name that doesn't really entice me to go there but I digress. Still it looks like this is a very convenient lunch option for many of the area workers and military as it was pretty full of people on the random day that I went. I was kind of overwhelmed with all the options available at Bee's. I asked the lady in front of me what she ordered and she coincidentally ordered a milk tea with pearls. Right on! She said it was her favorite and that it was the best tasting one she's had. I was still skeptical. She never had CorT? milk tea so her standard may be different than mine. I wanted to make sure it wasn't pre-made or blended. Check and check. The nice lady mentioned that Bee's Milk Tea tasted very similar to the creamy flavor if the Japanese Kirin Milk Tea. Huh? What is that and why have I not had it? Anyways.....she was very nice and even offered to let me try hers but didn't take her up on it. The lady behind the counter heard this and she went ahead and gave me a generous sample. I had a sip and my mind was made up. Bee's milk tea with pearls has become a suitable replacement. The flavor was really smooth. Perfect balance- not too bitter or overly sweet. Not watered down. The pearls were perfectly cooked to a gooey goodness consistency. Its definitely not pre-made sitting there in a jug waiting to be poured into your cup. I saw her making it and it was cool that she mixed it well in a cocktail shaker type of thing. So, yes it takes a little bit more time but totally worth it. For me the only downside is the location. CorT is much more convenient for me. Even though I live in Pearl City I'm always in town. I never really "happen to be in the area" of Mapunapuna and pop in for my bubble drink fix. Sad face. But I would make it a point to go there just for the milk tea. So sorry hubby but you're tagging along for the ride. I do want to try some of the other drinks so next time. :o)

One of my favorite place to order bubble tea drinks on island. Been a customer since 2002. Banana smoothie with mochi is a must. Cash only.

  • Y K.

I was on my way to Pearl City and decided to swing by bee's dessert because well its been a while and I needed my pearl drink! It was a hot day and I needed something to cool me down so I wanted to try their sesame icee pearl drink. I know "sesame?!" but surprisingly when its in ice cream or drink format its just so refreshing with a nutty flavor behind it! The overall flavor of the drink was perfect but I wish slush part of it didn't melt so fast but then again it was a hot day. The pearls were a tad bit overcooked but I remember going there for the very first time and it was cooked perfectly. Overall a great place to grab your favorite flavored pearl drink. OH! You can also substitute the pearls with mochi and I think grass jelly too.

I don't know how this managed to escape my review, but I've been going to Bee's for what is probably like over a decade (has it really been that long? maybe even longer! wait does this totally date me?). OK, to qualify, I've been going there since Ranch 99 Market opened (whenever that was) and since... and for me this is the best boba on the island, hands down. And while I am no boba tea connoisseur, I'm pretty discerning when it comes to me and my boba. Let me go ahead a preface my review by saying that I LOOOOVE Bee's! My recent obsession has been their avocado boba - which is thick, cream, filling and yummy. Otherwise, when I'm craving some thing light, I'll default to my usual taro-coconut milk tea. They have the old-fashioned boba tea shaker and I find the texture of their pearl balls next-to-perfection. I have not introduced a single friend here who has not vowed to be back. PLUS, they offer splenda or sweet 'n low options in place of sugar for their boba -- which is awesome option (and my pre-diabetic family members really appreciate). I can't speak for anything else on their menu but the boba milk tea, but that alone should drive you there! The service is courteous (they speak Cantonese + Mandarin if you are so inclined) and no frills, and I would come here regularly except it's a litle bit of a drive for me, and my waistline would not thank me although my tummy and tastebuds would be rolling in ecstasy. Go to Bee's and seek enlightenment :)

Their shave ice bowl topped with Roselani vanilla ice cream and mochi balls are to die for...SooOoo yummy! I gotta say Roselani ice cream is the best ice cream I ever ate! Also their shave ice is soft and smooth and you can make it to go too. :)

I love Bee's! I don't get to come here often, so I really cherish it when I do. I usually get the green tea smoothie or the pineapple icee, both with pearls. When I first got the icee, I was thinking icee like the REAL "icee". But it's just a sort of blended drink. I'm not sure what's in it, but i know they use real pineapple (you can taste those strings from the fruit). Not really creamy, but very refreshing! Their pearls are the best, in my opinion - firm, but still squishy enough to be fun to eat. Tons of different kinds of drinks/desserts to try, and decent prices. Sometimes it can take a while when they're busy, but I don't mind. There's always something/someone interesting to look at in 99 Ranch. :)

YUM YUM for my TUM TUM! I love the Thai Tea (with Boba) and the Creamcicle!!!! The staff is sweet and always greets with a smile. Location is a little hard to find and is not that pretty to the eye but inside it is clean and the food is great. LOVE LOVE LOVE all the bubble drinks. :)

When 99 ranch market closed down I was very fearful that it would take Bee's with it. Thankfully it didn't. But then I moved away. Graduating form Moanalua HS a bubble tea was within walking distance. Living in Dallas I find myself craving them. The coconut, coffee and melon were my favorites. The tapioca pearls were always perfectly soft and the proportions were spot on. They also have mochi balls which are a softer, slightly sweeter option. I could live off those things. The mochi balls are softer pastel shades of pink, green and white so it was a pretty change to the dark purple, almost black of the tapioca pearls. They also have ice cream made by Roselani. Classic flavors that you know and love in the islands...Haupia, Kona coffee, and macadamia nut. Nice selection if bubble teas aren't your thing. They do burgers and fries. Occasionally I would get fries just because. They are very reminiscent of L&L but not the same. Good but not great. Chewy, yummy, and refreshing bubble teas for those warm days on Oahu is one of the things I miss the most.

  • David C.

Enormous selection of bubble drinks. I normally get the Milk tea because their recipe is a little better than other locations I've been to. But every now and then when I feel like sending all diets to hell and really punishing myself, I skip the tea and go for the coconut drink with BABY tapioca. Be sure to ask for Baby tapioca. It's sweet, it's very coconut, and the texture from the baby tapioca just brings it altogether. It's a must try!

My sister and I were craving sweets and she had one of those groupons or whatever for Bee's Dessert House. When we got there... actually, we didn't know exactly where it was. My maps app took us to 99 Ranch Market. After skimming through some Yelp reviews to see if it was inside, we headed towards the sliding doors. Now, this was our first time going into 99 Ranch Market. Shoot, I didn't even know the place shut down years ago. I took a couple steps in, thinking I was trespassing or something, as everything looked closed and there was no one around. Not even a janitor or a masked murderer holding a knife. (Hey, that's how creeped out I was when I walked in). My sister walked around the corner and saw "existance" sitting at tables and chairs. Bee's Dessert House is located in a corner amongst other food places. (Some were open, some were closed, which made the place creepier). After reading the mixed Yelp reviews, I was hoping I wouldn't get a cup of "blended ice-only" drink with no flavor, or get whistled at by the "guy who made my drink". (Luckily I was covered up and not showing cleavage). A lady pleasantly greeted us. I ordered Strawberry and cream with strawberry crystal drink and my sister ordered the taro drink with pearls. My drink was really tasty. Probably the best boba drink I've ever had so far. I sampled my sister's and hers was really good, too. There are a lot of tables and chairs you can sit at and even watch tv, but my sister and I took our drinks to go. I would definitely go back again and try something new.

I tried the milk tea on ice with tapioca.... OMG delicious! I will definitely make a trip back to Bee's to have another milk tea! Since then, I keep thinking about it! Haha.

If you like blended drinks with boba, mochi balls or lemon grass...search no more! Bee's is the place to go. the flavors are endless & the mochi balls are always done right! Parking is great b/c it's the old 99 ranch market. EXCEPT during lunch when everyone in the area is pretty much there. Service is fast. Customer service is a "OK" but not bad...they're never mean or anything...just not too enthusiastic when serving customers I guess. But hey, if my drink is right, they are doing their jobs..& doing it right :) I took a star off only b/c they're "cash only" boo...it can be inconvenient sometimes... All in all, they have great flavors, are decently fast & have been consistent with quality so far. I am SO ADDICTED! Hope that explains my review :)

Awesome place to eat at. Would DEFINITELY come back. The atmostphere is the best and I cannot keep salivating over their awesome deserts. I especailly like the lilikoi one.

  • Gabrielle G.

Love this place; Ranch 99 has been a regular place for me during highschool/kiddy days. I always crave the bubble drinks with MOCHI BALLS! I love ordering my drink with mochi balls.. the chocolate/banana smoothie with mochi balls hits the spot for me. Never tried the bubble TEA, but I think this place is more known for their smoothie-type bubble drinks. Customer service is a bit lacking, not exactly friendly, but the bubble drink usually makes up for it.

  • Aloha H. T.

They make the bomb-est Thai Iced Tea here!! I tried their avocado shake with bubbles, but it's not that great. I don't think they add enough avocado to it. Other than that I'm also a fan of their fries & burgers. Simple.

  • BIANCHA Y.

I think they put crack or heroin, or a mixture of both in their taro/coconut boba drink, because everytime I have one, I have to have another -- and since I've relocated to Salt Lake, Bee's closer as in I can walk there if I weren't so damn lazy and/or fearful of being run over by crazy ass drivers trying to get on the freeway. Anyways back to their damn addicting boba drinks -- why are they so good? well, it doesn't have that powdery taste that some boba places have (you know who you are), and their ice desserts are just as good. when I feel like being a glutton, I order one of their desserts, then get a boba drink to do. hello diabetes!

    (5)
  • Tiana L.

While they sometimes take a long time to make my drink, I LOVE the vanilla smoothie with mochi balls. The mochi is soft, not hard like other places I've tried.

Okay... now I know what everyone was raving about . The taro/coconut with mochi balls are to die for! I'm craving for it right now! My husband also really enjoyed his mango pearl tea.

  • Reney O.

My homey was right, this place really does make some of the best bubble tea around. I've never been to Bee's before, but I'm sure as hell gonna be a repeat customer from now on. I first tried their Almond Pearl Tea, and that hit the spot. Not overpoweringly almond but not watered down or full of tapioca balls either. I hate it when other restaurants bog down their bubble teas with ice and pearls....these guys don't do that, haha! In any case, I inhaled my almond tea and took on another, but this time an Original Pearl Tea. Apparently Bee's actually takes the time to infuse real tea----pouring a fresh brew over cold ice. That and some ice, tapioca, cream, and there you have it. I thought it would taste bland, but all I tasted was sweet goodness. Great stuff, I'll be back.

  • Jamie A.

This place is awsome for their smoothies. They use real fruit not the fake powder stuff. My fave is the banana smoothie with mochi balls. The mochi tastes like chi chi dango. Surprisingly their hamburgers are great too. Just a smiple hamburger but tastes so yummy.

Bee's is hands down the best place on oahu to get bubble tea/boba drinks.

  • Dijon Y.

Ice is fine. Average. My azuki bean, mochi ball, ice cream, condensed milk shave ice was good. Yummy but not too sweet. Ice is pretty fine. Decent variety in their menu. They also have milk tea including grass jelly, one of my favorites. This is a place I'd go to get some shave ice or milk tea if around the area, but wouldn't drive out of my way for. Pretty good grass jelly milk tea. Not too sweet, good tea flavor with a bit of creamy milk, pearls are perfect size and texture. Too much is a waste, shape more important than size, haha

this time around purchased: coconut smoothie and a thai tea blended -- both with boba eeew. everyone said this place was good and had the best boba. they lied. perhaps because i didn't choose good items. i think the ONLY thing i'll go back for at the place is the roselani ice cream.

one of the best place to get you bubble drink fix! i always get the taro bubble drink with substitute mochi balls than boba pearls! but, their pearls are supre soft and really chewy! the one thing is about the workers treats you like theyre rushing even thought youre the only one there ordering and kinda speaks to you with a little salty attitude. i know this place could do better, customer service wise...

This place has the best bubble drink that I have ever tried! I always stop by just for this. Although they don't call it that... It's the smoothie with pearl. My favorites are the banana flavor and cookie flavor! You can never go wrong with honey dew, too. Yum!!

  • Daz C.

I'm very thankful to have found Bee's Dessert House when my neighborhood boba tea shop closed down. On my very first trip here I ordered the Honey Dew tea and it was quite delish =) Bee's has an impressive variety of flavors on their dessert drinks so naturally I'm going here every chance I get.

Great dessert drinks and shave ice, too! They have such a wide variety of boba, smoothies and slushes that you just have to come back for more. I especially love their pina colada smoothie. It's a hidden gem at the Moanalua Ethnic Village (formerly 99 Ranch Market warehouse building).

  • Melissa B.

One of Hawaii's biggest secrets food-wise is that the best pearl tea (or boba drinks) in the state is hidden in the food court of Ranch 99 Supermarket - Bee's Dessert House. They make the pearls consistently nice and soft, and there are tons and tons of flavors to choose from. The workers are really friendly, too.

  • Bianca N.

Tucked away in Moanalua 99 Food Court is the unassuming Bee's Dessert House. Who knew they could make one of the best milk tea's on Oahu? I am sort of a bubble tea fanatic and I absolutely love establishments that use actual tea and not powder. Bee's does that and much more. The original bubble milk tea has a robust black tea flavor and has tapioca with a medium firm texture. One reason I love this place is that their teas are never overwhelmingly sweet- it doesn't have to be since the complex flavors would be overshadowed. I've been a regular customer for years and it is so amazing to me that the quality of the drinks have been consistent over the years. It surprises me that this place has not been "found out" by most people, but I guess this is what makes it a gem of a find.

Date of visit: 8/9/2015 I really wanted some boba (or tapioca pearls as they are known in Hawaii), so I went through all of the little markets in 99 Ranch looking for a shop that would sell me some. I had a feeling the Bee's would have what I was looking for, but the menu confused me as I'm used to seeing boba, not pearl on the menu. Luckily, the cashier was kind enough to point me to all of the pictures near the entrance, so I was able to put a picture to what I wanted. Note that they accept cash only, so I had to go track down my Dad and Cam for some cash before buying a drink. Original Pearl Milk Tea. This was exactly what I was looking for. The boba was perfectly prepared and the tea was not too sweet. Even Cam really enjoyed it and he usually thinks that the milk teas I get are too sweet. My aunt also told me that you can get drinks with mochi balls - I'll have to try that if I'm ever in Hawaii again. For $3.50, it was on par with what you can get in San Diego, if not better than some boba shops.

Before the whole boba bubble drink obsession outbreak to the multiple stores that offer them now, this was the first place that had me started on that addiction. I used to come to this food court area a lot while growing up because it was closer than going to the malls and it was like our family time coming here for lunch because of all the variety of food choices to try every time we go there. I've never tried anything else but the bubble drinks from here. They have an assortment of flavors that you can try. My favorite are the strawberry/banana combo and the mocha coffee with pearls. Soooo goood and refreshing! Prices are pretty reasonable. Customer Service is pretty limited though due to the language barrier. But they get job done and produce quality drinks so I'm a happy camper.

I love their drinks whenever I am in the area or with my parents and they decide to eat dinner at Ranch Market. They are the original bubble tea shop that started the trend here in the islands. I find their prices affordable ranging from $3.50 to 4.75 per drink. The boba tea drinks are around $3.50 or over. Actually the prices have never went up since coming here for boba tea. The boba tea shops in Pearl City and Honolulu are $4 or up per drink. After checking out the reviews of most of the popular boba shops, there are only two places I will go for boba tea which are Tea time taiwan and Bee's dessert house. Their service is really fast when they don't have many customers. If it is busy, they take around 5 to 8 mins :) Never have to wait 10 or more mins. Why I give them 4 stars due to the location being out of my way. It's in between kalihi and Aiea townbound. I find it not worth it coming if I am not nearby or on the way back to home to purchase boba tea. But this place will be my go to stop if I am in the area. Keep your prices from shooting up and I'll be back for more boba :) My recommendations if you choose to purchase boba, try the jasmine, honeydew, taro, or green bean boba drinks. You won't regret it. The sizes are just right for your bucks. Once you finished your drink, you will be oh yes satisfied :) You can't eat or drink anything in that very moment like how I felt on Sat night. Bobalicious ( I just made that word up haha).

BEEs has a 2ND location!!! Second floor of the NEX (left of the escalator), no military ID required for food court area. Got to talk to the owner who was excited about new location while hubby ran the 99 ranch one! Now I can get twice the fix, yummy!

Had the Lychee Black tea with lychee jelly @$4.75 and the mango boba smoothie @$4.00. The smoothie was painfully cold. Would have been perfect on a hot day. Good tea but a bit pricey. Great overall boba experience. Quick service. I didn't expect an INCREDIBLE burger. Double cheese burger deluxe at $2.45??? Two 1/4 lbs patties? Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and american cheese. Hot, JUICY, and just enough salt and pepper. Perfect and simple all American cheeseburger. Is the markup so high on the tea that they don't need to make money on the burgers. I've been picking my daughter up from class here for three years. Wish I had know about the burgers before.

BLUF*: One of two places that I know that offer mochi balls as an option for your bubble drink. I LOVE MOCHI!!! The other place is Kokonuts in Hawaii Kai. Bee's also has a second location in the NEX Foodcourt. *Bottom Line Up Front

Here every weekend and they are fantastic! The parental units always get lychee black tea with lychee jelly and mini me's get their choice fruit juice "smoothie-style" (which means blended) with extra Boba please! If there is a long line (and most times there are - because they are delish), it moves quickly. Plus, lots of seating and parking. The best way to make weekends even sweeter.

Yummy Taro Coconut Bubble Tea/Smoothie with mochi balls $4.77 Located at 99 Ranch in back corner near Sumo Ramen, Bee's Dessert House has a friendly staff and large assortment of Asian and Western inspired on-the-go or after school desserts. .. or lunch break in my case. My girlfriends and I got the drink I mentioned above and it was delicious and filling. I'm full. We'll be back to try other flavors. Lots of free parking.

So many desserts to choose from. Everything we've tried from here has been ono! The smoothies are so fresh...my kids favorites are the strawberry and the watermelon.

Living the FOB lifestyle... FOB = FRESH OFF THE BOAT! Well, that's what I experienced here at... BEE'S DESSERT HOUSE! First, was "Bee" the chunky, middle-aged woman who never greeted me? And perhaps overcharged me a dollar... SWEET ERIC: "Hello" MEAN BEE: *blank stare* SWEET ERIC: "Oh umm" MEAN BEE: *taps counter and continues to stare* SWEET ERIC: "I'll have the watermelon smoothie" MEAN BEE: "No mo" SWEET ERIC: "Oh ok, do you have Lychee?" MEAN BEE: "Yeah!" SWEET ERIC: "Ah, I'll have the Lychee, with a Teri-burger" MEAN BEE: "Pearl?" SWEET ERIC: "Oh yes, I'll have pearl(s)..." MEAN BEE: "$6.60!" SWEET ERIC: "Okay!" *fetches the cash, but seems a tad overpriced. Thinks for a second that the prices did not match the menu board, but pays anyway.* Okay, I read all the reviews and apparently this place was the first to bring Bubble "Boba" Drinks to Hawaii. Really, I would figure Chinatown would be the place?! Anyways, in fairness to the lady, who I think was "Bee", it was more comical to me. I lived life much and encountered many FOB Service when I lived in San Francisco. I always just play with it. I realize English is usually ESL at many of these places, so I also realize that you're not intentionally being rude. Just a little words of wisdom though... If the dude or chick paying customer is SWEET to you... Please attempt to be SEMI-SWEET back! It's very much possible too, as many of these FOB spots do have SWEET people! TERI-BURGER: This was a pleasant surprise! It was freshly cooked and the teriyaki sauce was to die for! Plus, it was only $1.80? You kidding me? Shhhh. GRADE: A LYCHEE SMOOTHIE: Plus, added pearls (boba). It was refreshingly good, but seemed a tad too sweet for my palate! Again, it was good, but I've had better. If I did it again I would not have added the pearls. The odd thing is I look at the menu and see a different price than what I was charged? Perhaps I paid extra for the pearls that are usually added with any drink w/o extra cost?! So, a tad confused there. GRADE: C+ MEAN BEE: Again, in fairness I'm only guessing the lady was "Bee", and even though she lacked the basic social skills, she still took my order and I believe cooked the burger herself? I mean she's the one that disappeared in the back and came out later w/ my Teri-burger in "school lunch" style paper bag. So, kudos if she did everything. I mean she wasn't exactly rude - just kinda there! GRADE: C- Like I mentioned earlier I won't beat-up this place simply because of ESL, pearls, too sweet, or possibly being overcharged! However, I'm one that many rely on for honesty and never sugar-coating things. Therefore, I still recommend this place called... BEE'S DESSERT HOUSE! It's like one of those typical "Hong Kong" style dessert shops you'll find in Chinatown, but in the Salt Lake / Moanalua area instead. Located in the old 99 Ranch building. Bee's also serve shave ice, ice cream, teas and other goodies! If you haven't tried it once, go for it, but no, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. I was only in the area to pickup my transcripts from my alma mater, y'know that highly-rated public school on the hill! I mean even though I can be SWEET as pie... I was also NUMBAH #3 BULL on campus back in the day, but I was more a lover and not so much a fighter. Well, I can fight, but never with a "Queen Bee!" I love & respect women. FOB one's too. Ahh, I miss my hot-pink muscle shirt, maybe not! The good old days... And no, I won't exactly say when I grad, but here's a clue... "Well I guess it would be nice If I could touch your body I know not everybody Has got a body like you... But I've got to think twice Before I give my heart away And I know all the games you play Because I play them too.. Oh, but I need some time off from that emotion Time to pick my heart up off the floor Oh, when that love comes down without devotion Well, it takes a strong man, baby But I'm showin' you the door... 'Cause I gotta have faith I gotta have faith Because I got to have faith, faith, faith I got to have faith, faith, faith..." OVERALL GRADE: 3.2-STARS! LIVE ALOHA... YELP REVIEW #406

Even with long lines, service is pretty quick. One of our favorite shave ice treat is their Honeydew melon with Mandarin orange slices, vanilla ice cream on fluffy shaved ice plus a drizzle of condensed milk (Snow Cap). It's Top Notch! Bee's Dessert House has been serving up local-style shave ice bowls with Chinese influences. The shave ice is light, finely shaven and just melts on your tongue as soon as you take a spoonful. I like their syrup flavors as they aren't overly sweet and offer variety along with the classic strawberry or vanilla. There are pictures of most of the menu items posted so you don't have to guess what the concoction is going to look like. Often, you can find long lines of eager customers as there are usually only 3-4 people who work there. Service is usually quick and efficient. I used to work "up the hill" from Bee's and would often frequent, almost daily after work, for either a bowl of shave ice, cooling Pearl tea drink or a just scoop of ice cream. Geez, if only I had been on Yelp back then...

Started to hear about this place a few years back but never really stopped in to taste. Every time I visited the market, the line for this place was out the door. Came by a few weeks ago and decided to try their bubble drinks. I ordered the Pina Colada smoothie with bobba and fell in love. I try to make a trip down here at least twice a week.

Been coming here since I was in middle school and will forever keep coming here. Best bubble drink smoothies that you don't have to drive far for. The couple that owns it are really nice and usually remembers their regulars. Their burgers are simple but always good enough to fill that snacking void. Will always return. Mochi balls are always on point!

Leaving Hawaii, returning the rental car I wanted to get my last shave ice fix. Found this place on yelp and has good reviews but I don't think they are for the shave ice. Really sad about the shave ice quality. Def no shimazu's nor island snow. The boba drinks are good here though.

Twice Told Tales. No, no, not a negative. This is to emphasize the point that while Bees offers many different snacks and sandwiches they are primarily known for their drinks (bubble teas, Pearl cream teas and smoothies) and their shave ice. The drinks have excellent flavor choices, consistencies and taste. Our favorites include the strawberry bubble tea and the almond flavored smoothies. Shave ice variations are also customer favorites, but we go there for the teas and smoothies. On any weekend you will probably see a line of people gleefully waiting to order a drink or shave ice. Bees is a nice compliment to the food court offerings that were once called the 99 Ranch complex. A nice side detour between east and west Oahu along the H-1 freeway.

I know this place has been around for years, since I was a little kid. When I always went to 99 ranch market, it was there. I tried it once years ago and didn't know how it actually tasted. So I came back again and wanted to try the shave ice. But I wasn't in the mood for it, so we got the acai berry pomegranate smoothie with tapioca balls. It wasn't too sweet, but I feel like there's a lot of sugar in it. Ahhhh..I just shared it with my bf.

Bee's is a well-established bubble drink and dessert stand in the Moanalua 99 food court (formerly 99 Ranch Market Place). It's a family-owned business and they offer such a wide variety of desserts and their customer service isn't too shabby either. Here are a few products that they offer: Bubble drinks w/tapioca and/or jelly (either smoothie-style or over ice) Roselani ice cream (yup, you read that correctly!) Random candy (Snickers, Starburst, Skittles, etc) Burgers, corn dogs, onion rings, fries, etc. Shave Ice Fresh fruit juice Coke fountain drinks With such a wide variety of options, you can't go wrong with a visit to Bee's. There's often a line, especially during lunch hours but it's worth the wait! My only gripe about Bee's is that they only accept cash only-no cards. Overall though, a great business-one of my regular stops when I visit this food court.

#3 Combo - Double Cheeseburger (2 1/4 lb sized patties), French Fries (comparable to L & L Small Fries) & Small Soft Drink...It not going to win any best burger contests, but when funds are short and your have an "hungry man" appetite, this combo fits the bill...all this for just $4.99 plus tax. Located in the 99 Ranch Food Court complex...With Cool A/C blowing, this is a great place just to hang out on a hot day. Plenty of "plastic chair & table" seating...great place to hold casual/informal meetings with the club, church group or just friends...go ahead and move the tables & chairs and "make house".

Located in Moanalua 99 (99 cent ranch) this place has the BEST pearlshakes, boba, and/or bubble tea in Hawaii. I still have not gone through all the flavors, but the blueberry acai with pomegranate pearls is my fave. The have different flavor pearls including the ones that burst juice in your mouth. Costumer service is always friendly and professional. And they cook the pearls perfectly, not too soft and not too chewy.

Seems like more and more businesses (is businesses a word?) succumb to mediocrity, which is a shame because Bee's used to be my favorite place for Bubble Tea. I'd go out of my way to pull into Mapunapuna so I could enjoy the creamy, cold delicious flavor of Honeydew and bobba. Just recently the sizes of the drinks shrank dramatically. I am talking big difference. Used to be I could barely finish my $3.50 drink by myself. Last week I ordered two drinks and it was a little over $9.00. My son said it tasted "funny" so I drank his...and mine. Drank both with room to spare and unsatisfied. The flavor is watered down. The sizes have shrunk and the prices have climbed. Blech. No more Bee's. Goodbye. Sniff. PS. Funny how their Fish sandwich, cheeseburgers and other food items cost way less than their small puny drinks on the menu, but if it's from Bee's you may have an apian sized food item.

My favourite place to come when I'm in the area. I usually come here after going to Kaiser Permanente, I HAVE to come and get a bubble drink. My go to flavor is coconut. Its so yummy! I never had their shave ice, but looking at the pictures I want to try em all!

My husband and I never had shaved ice here and so far it looks good. The customer service is horrible though. I ordered a rainbow bowl which is a #6 but the lady was confused. She got irritated and told me "next time just day #6." Ummm... that's what I was telling her... it upset me because she was very rude about it.

  • Jennifer C.

Disclaimer: I judge most bubble tea places by their Jasmine Milk Tea. Whether or not I return and try other things is dependent on it, so as of this review, I've only tasted this one drink. The Jasmine Milk Tea here tastes like something that I can make at home. And that's not a good thing because I've failed many attempts. The tea was watered down, and not one bit aromatic / perfumey like it should be. It was also sour, perhaps from over steeping the tea, or the water being too hot. Finally, the bubbles were hard. Despite the same ownership, the new Bee's in the NEX is better. If you have a choice, I would say to try that one instead.

  • Mitchell C.

Told me they were closing at 6 but closed a full half hour early. The lady was very rude in telling me the time they were suppose to close and when I asked if they were done for the day at 530 she again rudely told me "yea." The service has been very back and forth here lately, they should stick to the friendlier staff.

    (3)
  • Christopher K.

The service was quick and the Rainbow shave ice very good. Give it four stars but I will definitely come back for the teri burger. If I have more of the food I can give it 5 stars in good conscience. Very decent price unlike some of the other places here.

By far my favorite boba place on the island! They always make their smoothies with fresh fruit and you can't beat MOCHI BALLS :) Every time I come there's always a new drink to try, a special house blend that's fabulous. And I know it's weird, but their cheeseburger is soooo ono it keeps me wanting more! Grilled to perfection and made to order. The same family has been working here for years and I love that they always remember me even if I don't come back for awhile!

The prices have gone up since they first opened, but I am addicted to their bubble drinks. I love their milk tea with pearls and strawberry smoothies with mochi balls. They use fresh fruit in their smoothies, not the powdered stuff. Not only are their bubble drinks good, but they also make a good hamburger and fries!

Yelp 100 Review Challenge 2014: Review 5/100 When I used to work at MES, my BFF and I would frequent Bee's after school. We would come at least once a week and for fried food and bubble drinks. After I transferred from MES, going to Bee's became a treat whenever I went to service my car at Servco. It located near the Wah Kung entrance of the 99 Ranch Marketplace. There is a variety of choices at Bee's, which includes everything from french fries and corn dogs to shave ice bowls to exotic flavors of Icee. I usually get something with coconut or pineapple flavoring, but on my most recent visit, I tried a strawberry smoothie and my brother got a pineapple Icee. I preferred my brother's drink to mine, but I know that HC would love something like my strawberry drink. Service is prompt and even if there's a line, drinks come out quick. I haven't tried any of their shave ice bowls, but the photos always look tempting. If you're ever in the area or stuck in traffic near Moanalua Gardens, get off the freeway and head to the 99 Ranch Market area to check Bee's out.

Whenever I'm in 99 ranch, I always stop by here. They have bubble drinks, shave ice, ice cream, burgers, fries, and onion rings. I usually get the thai tea, taro, or chocolate banana with boba and mochi. The bubble drinks are pretty good but I wish they'd use real fruit instead of powder form. Service is good though.

  • Reid H.

All kines of flavored bubble drinks which is probably their best items on the menu, haven't tried anything else. They have different type of flavored mochi balls too which is unique but I've tasted better overall bubble drinks. I certainly had the kanack attack after having a large, which is probably not the healthiest.

This is my first time at Bee's even though I love the 99 Ranch Market. They have the ability to make so many different bubble, pearl, and shave-ice treats--it's crazy! You can choose your own combo of syrups for the shave-ice bowls. My coffee bubble drink was great and very strongly coffee-tasting. I find that at other places, the coffee flavor is so fake, I can't drink it. Anyway the lady at the counter was very nice and personable and I would definitely come back here again. :)

They're known for their bubble tea... But that's not why I come here. Their bubble tea is good, but I've had better. So the reason why I come here is because of their burgers. Yes.... Their burgers! It's really good and really cheap. They just take long to make it...

I'm a fan of any bubble teas and I've had many around the island. This place by far is the best! Quick and friendly service. The menu is easy to read and understand. Photos of their items are well displayed for your pleasure. I couldn't decide on what I wanted so I went with mango and pineapple with baby tapioca. It was delicious and not too sweet or tarty. She used fresh chunks of pineapple and mango; lovely! I would definitely go out of my way to come visit and try one of their other drinks. =)

I've been a patronage for past 15 years and that's probably how long they have been in business. Their drinks are okay. I usually get lychee black tea with lychee jelly without sugar because it's a flavored tea so they add more sugar if you order regular. It's run by 3 same people. You may see an older lady who isn't so pleasant. Be extra patient if you want to get a drink and if you have to order from her. They also have second location in Navy Exchange which I never been to.

BUBBLE TEA!!! First time I ever came here was back in my collage days. I was doing a study group for a project and my friend says "let's go get a burger from Bee's!" I had no clue where she was talking about, so I went along for the ride! We pulled into the parking lot of 99 Ranch (back then) and came across this stand. First thing that caught my attention was bubble tea. I was sold. There's a large selection of bubble drink flavors. Originally, I like my drink on ice, but now you can get it blended. Other menu items is ice cream, shave ice, burgers and stuff... Doesn't sound like much, but if you ever go there, it's pretty much over whelming of choices to choose from. The service is friendly and fast. The prices are reasonable. And the location isn't bad. Great place to chill that's off the beaten path.

Located on the corner of the former 99 Ranch Market. This place has an extensive list of bubble drinks. Kinda intimidated on some of the options. I usually stick with my favorite coconut tapioca milk dessert. Super refreshing and LOTS of tapioca. (Which I love) My two kids love their strawberry bubble drink and mint chip ice cream. They serve the Rosaline (?) brand of ice cream which supports the local brand. They also have decent burgers and fries. I guess some people can call that a dessert. Shave ice and candy bars are also sold. You can customize orders too. A friend order a strawberry / banana smoothie and the server made it with no hesitation. Because it is in a food court, seating is plentiful. Cute Chinese deco and music is often playing. Must be family business because the same friendly people are working there. Definitely worth coming to.

Located inside a mall that I wish I had found earlier! The Coconut Bubble Tea is AWESOME! Very sweet, very addicting. Parking is a bit crazy at times, but when you can mail packages, have lunch, get some fresh fruit and bubble tea all in one spot, it's not surprising.

I had the vanilla ice cream with mac nuts... but the mac nuts were soggy. Aren't they suppose to be a bit crunchy? At least the sugar cone was crunchy. I tried some of my friend's shave ice bowl... and it was ok. I've had better shave ice. Maybe I just need to try something else on the menu?

This place is not too busy. The burgers are pretty good and the prices are not bad. The only thing is you have to call for some attention to get service. Out of the ten or so times that I've been here, all but one time I had to call someone from the back to take my order.

They have a crazy amount of drinks! So hard to make a decision and the menu can kind of be overwhelming and confusing, but everything I've had has been yummilicious! It's not too expensive either, but make sure you bring cash! Parking is plentiful, so no stress there. But I think only one or two ladies work at a time so there may be a wait for your drinks :3

Yummy! I ordered the classic (milk) pearl tea, which had a distinct taste of green tea with coffee. The pearls were just right and not dry or hard. It costed about $3.66. I believe it was mixed with ice cream and maybe that's why it tasted soooo good, but surprisingly not too sweet. The worker was very quick, friendly, and informative. Free parking and located by 99 ranch market. They also sell smoothies and shave ice made from real ingredients that I have yet to try. I know one thing is for sure, they'll keep me coming back for that classic milk pearl tea! :)

They were the last dessert option open, fairly early on a Friday evening. The ice cream feels good. Will go back to try avocado boba tea and other menu items because all looked great, plus the staff felt friendly. It is inside the building with the large blue "99" sign!!!!! Don't get lost, wandering the parking lot in confusion. Plus the rest of that market area looked amazing. Can't wait to see it during hours of operation.

So after making A LOT more visits since my last review, I knew an update was necessary. For any of the blended drinks you can combine flavors and such so here's some of the new drinks I've tried: COCONUT AND BANANA (blended) w/MOCHI: YUMMMM this is my fave!!!! But I pretty much love anything they make with coconut since they use Thai coconut milk. WATERMELON w/BOBA: This is one of the better Watermelon smoothies I've had. It's comparable to Thang's Watermelon but they're both great. CHOCOLATE BANANA w/ MOCHI: This is delicious if you're craving chocolate!! I love chocolate banana combinations so this one hit the spot. PINA COLADA w/BOBA: This was delicious as well with a nice strong pineapple flavor. But the Coconut and Banana was still better :). GRAPE CREAM w/BOBA: This one sounded and looked delicious however, it tastes a little funny. It was alright but there's definitely WAY BETTER things on the menu!! LYCHEE CREAM TEA w/BOBA: I still don't know if I like this one or not. Well, normally it's just the tea but I requested they make it with the milk and make it a cream tea. Just a WARNING: The lychee flavor is SUPER STRONG. It's good if you're looking for that lychee punch in the face but if you just want a nice calm and mild flavor, try something else. BLUE VANILLA w/BOBA: This one was surprisingly GOOD!! I typically don't order plain flavors like Vanilla so this was the bf's choice but when I tried it I was surprised how tasty it was. But still, I enjoy the more exotic flavors. I've probably tried more but can't think of any more right now. Anyways, I wish Bees wasn't so expensive but it's probably the best bubble drink place close to home that's not in town. You can't beat the prices in Chinatown since it's so cheap there but it is one the only places around where you can get mochi balls in your drink.

After reading all the other reviews I decided to give this place a try. Service was fast, but I think that's what ruined the quality of the product. I ordered 4 Oreo cookie bubble drinks for my family and 1 Thai tea with mochi for me. The Thai tea came out just as I expected, however the 4 other drinks were watery and seemed to be over blended. Anyway I'm sure the other bubble drinks are ok. I'd recommend a good creamy bubble drink from Kokonuts in Koko Marina.

If you're into Bubble drinks or Boba I highly recommend this place. There are a ton of flavors to choose from. Then you can have it as a smoothie style or tea style. The tapioca balls are always cooked perfectly and just the right sweetness. I have been to other Boba places and I like the taste of theirs the best. Their quality is very consistent and rhetoric workers are very pleasant.

Yeah, the cashiers aren't the friendliest people, but I think it is mostly a cultural difference. Jasmine milk tea with boba? yum. I now have to go every single time I'm in moanalua. The boba is perfect, parking isn't a hassle and there are plenty of tables to sit at! It is cash only....

The 99 Ranch Market is probably one of the shadiest places in the area, but Bee's is worth it. The people who work here lack a little bit of social skills but show us a smile once in a while. Good enough for me. Enter through the back. They provide a ton of pictures of their drinks to look at, not that it really helps to determine flavor; but, it will help you decide if you want black pearls, mini pearls, shaved-ice. What we have ordered: Strawberry and Coconut with black pearls Taro and Coconut with black pearls Mango and Coconut with black pearls Pineapple Mango with black pearls Clearly, we have to venture into other drinks that don't involve black pearls. But all these flavors are amazing. Sweet, but not overly sweet. We like to order a large size - drink half now and put in the freezer for later. They have a lot more for us to try, I'll be back here to review other drinks and maybe even their food.

Great place located in the old 99 Ranch Market place. The place gets pretty busy. But the lines move fast. Tried their ice blended smoothie with pearls and really good. Also they have burgers, shave ice, and so many goodies. Would definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

Great bubble tea drinks and awesome smoothies a great prices! We drink the cappuccino smoothie with black pearls or the mocha smoothie with coffee jelly - wonderful! Also delicious coconut ice drink with just the right amount of sweetness and icy goodness! YUM! And they have affordable hamburger, teri burger, cheeseburger, and chicken sandwich combos with upgrade to smoothies for a little more $! Even their shave-ice offerings are good! We've come to know Danny and Cecelia through the years. . .

Love coming here. It's located near the toyota by tripler hospital, where 99 ranch used to be. My favorites are honey dew, taro, or lychee. Those are my three go to. It's fairly quick. There's lots of parking in that shopping center. Lots of tables in the food court area. Price is reasonable. Give it a try!

When I used to work in Salt Lake, I'd stop by here for a snack. Very friendly personable service by what appears to be a husband and wife team. Great shave ice with ice cream added! Ice was perfectly shaved to soft perfection and not hard. Compliments the syrup and ice cream! They also have other pretty good snack like bubble drinks, french fries and burgers which are also all great!

My family started going here when Bees first opened (way back when Moanalua 99 was 99Ranch and actually had the asian market). They were the first people to bring bubble drinks to Hawaii and for that I'm forever grateful. The family that runs Bees is a wonderfully hard working group...like the bee hive they named their business after, they are always buzzing there. Every drink I have tried is wonderful...and I have tried MANY. My favorite currently is the lychee tea with lychee jelly (I ask them to add the bubble pearls in for a bonus texture adventure). The shave ice is spot on. For those who don't know it....they make a good diner style burger too. :)

One of the original and still one of the best places to get Hong Kong style milk tea or boba drink. Lots of choices for flavors as well as different jellies and flavored boba. They also have a number of great shaved ice and asian dessert choices. Prices are not the lowest, but definitely not the highest either. But what you do get is quality and the owners definitely remember their regulars and even say hi to us when we see them in the community or shopping. I definitely recommend them for their product but also for their customer service. Lots of free parking at the old 99 Ranch location and with the food court still in operation, lots of places to sit and enjoy your drink or dessert in a comfortable air conditioned setting. With the big screen tv in the food court, you can even watch the news or football game while enjoying your drink or dessert on a hot day.

The best "surviving" business still open inside the Ranch 99 Market in Mapunapuna - and hopefully, they are not going anywhere! When you're in the mood for some great bubble tea or shaved ice, this is the place to be! They also have a light food menu but i just come for the boba drinks.

"You Get What You Pay For" If you just so happen to be in the area, stop by and check it out. Drinks aren't as fresh as the newer bubble tea cafés opening throughout the island lately hence the lower price point...

This place is a-ok. However, I would give them the benefit of the doubt since I only got their boba, and my purchase was quick grab and go. I ordered an almond milk with mochi balls and tapioca pearls. They were only ok. I tasted some that are of better quality. I was hoping for it to be icy cold and more almond milky flavor, but unfortunately the ice had watered down my drink, and the tapioca and mochi balls were too soft, and kinda soggy. They have other dessert offerings that look deliscious, but I didn't get a chance to try. I say, if you're looking for a quick snack to satisfy that sweet tooth try their other desserts either than their boba drinks. I also saw a bunch of locals order their burgers, so it must be good? Overall, I didn't get much of a service that I could really judge, and my boba only met it's minimum requirements.

Bubble drinks are my dark, secret addiction. I sneak them whenever I have the chance because I feel a little dumb for drinking them. =They are certainly not good for my health. =They are chock full of sugar and empty calories. =Lord knows what those tapioca pearls made in China will do to my body down the line. Don't ask, don't tell. Yet, no matter where I go, or who I am with, I am magnetically drawn to bubble drinks. I'm like a closet chain smoker with a straw! What is wrong with me?! My children take gymnastics in the same complex at Bee's and naturally, I snuck away to grab a bubble drink. When you walk up to the counter you'll be overwhelmed by the menu. It's big, it's long, and they've extended it in every way, shape and form. No this is not a man we're talking about, but I'm sure most men reading this will wonder how they did it. I ask the woman working the stand what the difference is between Pearl Cream Drink and Pearl Bubble Drink. She tells me, "Some people don't like so much pearl so they put drink then pearl then drink and blargh blargh blargh..." I completely don't understand a thing she says. I am utterly confused and order a simple strawberry bubble tea. She tells me, "It's blended. That okay?" I tell her: "As long as it has the bubbles that will rot my intestinal track, that's fine." She is not really listening to me and gives me my total. There is an obvious language barrier and verbal disconnect. Perhaps she is from Mars and I am from Venus. They are cash only and I give her my last $5 bill plus some change. A family walks up and grabs a take-out order of hamburgers and fries. I long to order some but alas I have no cash. I hate paying extra money for ATM fees so I decide that the strawberry bubble tea will have to get me through until dinner time. I suck on my bubble tea while watching my daughter roll clumsily down a mat. =Am I making a weird slurping sound? Yes. =Are people judging me? Probably. =Do I feel a temporary yet elated satiation? Affirmative. =Do they have a patch for bubble tea addicts? Oh God I hope so... Yelp 365 Challenge: #71/365 (The Addiction)

I used to come here a lot when 99 Ranch Market was around but now I only swing by when I go to Ben Franklin or Target. They still have the same drink menu as the Ranch Market days. It seems like business is a bit slow though. My usual drink here is the coconut pearl tea. I really like their pearls, it's soft and chewy all the way to the center. One of these days, I'm going to try their fruit smoothies.

This review is for the original milk tea (black tea+milk+sugar) w/ pearl. I've heard everyone raving about this place for years, so I figured I'd haul ass down to Mapunapuna on this hot day to try it. I have Coffee or Tea in my hood, but I figured I'd try something different. I am disappointed. The boba has been overly soaked and stored. Not perfect squishiness factor. The outside of the boba was gooey and the inside was hard. So either they didn't boil the tapioca long enough or they gave me ones that were in the fridge for a couple days to a week! How do I know this? Because I've made my own tapioca at home in the past and it came out perfect!!! So the plain, original milk tea w/ pearl at Bee's does not even compare to CoT's momi milk tea!!! At least Bee's is cheaper and gives more than CoT. I'll give them that much. And the lady at the counter is much nicer than the workers at CoT. I will come back to Bee's at least one more time to try the taro w/ mochi balls. Hopefully that one will taste better.

Oh how I loooove my bubble drinks! The Good: * Great selection of fruits and flavors * If you're not into bubble teas, theres all sorts of other desserts you can choose from, they even have ice cream! * Good reasonable prices * Parking isn't a hassle at all! * They offer MOCHI balls if you're not that into tapioca balls! It's sooo yummy! The Bad: * It's located so far from my home! I'm in Kaneohe, they are in Salt Lake. * Like most small chinese owned places -- CASH ONLY! Them Chinese love the smell of money not credit cards! The Weird: * Their tip jar. So ghetto. I tip them just hoping they'd buy themselves a nicer tip jar.

Because of the wonderful reviews my son and I finally got a chance to go. He ordered their sweet taro bubble drink and I got their green tea bubble drink with mochi.... Hmmm... I guess I should've requested mine to be extra thick, because it was watered down a lot. Wished I got the same as my son. It was blended perfectly and it tasted sooo good! I wished I could give this place at least 4 stars, but because my bubble drink was more like drinking juice I just couldn't. But the good news is we will be back and I would definitely recommend this place... Just ask them to make your drink on the thick side... :)

their drinks are pretty good, although not as cheap as chinatown! but the lady working here was nice enough to make me a peach black tea even though it's not on the menu.

OH MY GOODNESS ~ Bee's has such a huge, and I mean HUGE selection of desserts to choose from. Smoothies, ice cream, bubble drinks, floats, etc. etc. The even serve burgers. I tried the strawberry shake here and it was super good! There were a few people in line almost the entire time I was there, meaning they must be good! :) The lady who helped me was really polite. The only thing I didn't like is that it was cash only, as most of the restaurants in 99. But otherwise, I love Bee's now! I want to come back and eventually try one of everything!

Once upon a time, when I was a teenager, I only ate bubble drinks. No, not drank bubble drinks... ATE them. They were my main source of energy and acted as a meal on multiple occasions. I was on a quest for the best bubble drinks and Bee's dessert house was pretty darn close. My favorite drink there was the strawberry smoothie with pearls. I think over the years they've changed the recipe, or maybe changed the fruit, as it is not as sweet as before. Still, there are many flavors that are still good. One of them high on the totem pole is the Jasmine bubble tea. Tastes like you're drinking flowers! The pearls are the perfect consistency and they've got it down to a science! The only thing about Bee's is the lack of customer service. The same couple has been running this place for years and neither of them smile or say hello, just kinda go through the motions. I'll still go back though, because sometimes I get a craving for flowers in a cup.

Great island shaved ice! Cold, soft, & smooth shaved ice, absorbed with syrup of island flavors such as passion fruit & li hing, topped with mochi & condensed cream make this a very refreshing island treat that becomes addictive, to cooling down from the heat & humidity of a typical Hawaii summer day.

I have been coming to bees since high school and they have some of the best bubble teas around... You also can find some burgers and ice cream.. Also on a hot day go get some delish shave ice!!

Bubble Tea. Boba. Whatever you call it. THIS-IS-IT!!! When I heard 99 Ranch was closing, I was saddened to think that Bee's was closing.....THANKFULLY, it didn't. Tapioca balls. Mochi balls. Whatever you need in your boba, they have it....to go with the various powder flavors like, melon, coffee, and - my personal fave - taro. Along with slushes, shave ice, coffee, AND Roselani ice cream!!! Which is pretty bomb, in itself. Sweet like honeyyy --- Liquid desserts galore =]=]=]=]=]

Kiosk with food but emphasis on the fancy drinks and dessert. Shave ice was very fluffy but syrup lacking. Asian desserts suffered from Hawaiian influence and Hawaiian desserts suffered from Asian influence. Each diluted the other in overall quality and taste. Bubble tea drinks were many and good. Fine if you are in MoanaLua 99 but not worth a special trip.

Omgosh! They have the best bubble tea around. Regular bubble tea with the black pearl is so bland, but Bee's has the mochi pearls! Sooo, yummy~ I always get their Milk Tea w/ Mochi (on ice). The best shit to ever be created! Definately the #1 place to get bubble tea & worth the drive!

  • Jennifer L.

First time here & I gotta say it's not half bad. I got the Thai tea bubble drink & I'm happy to say they made it perfectly. The proportion of ice to tea was just right so it wasn't too icy or overly sweet & juice like. Just wish they weren't cash only since I rarely carry cash, but given that most items are under $5, I can see why they rather do cash only & not have to pay a fee

  • Reimi D.

bubble drinks! I tried the regular black coffee w/cream but my sister got the almond one and it was SO good. Gonna get that one next time. Refreshing. They have other stuff besides bubble drinks---ice cream, shave ice, burgers and hotdogs. Check them out if you're at Ranch Market. Always a line though--they're pretty popular.

I came here based on my friend's recommendation because she loves bubble tea. I ordered the milk tea with mochi and it was pretty good. The mochi is super soft, white, and mushy but I guess that was cool... kinda different from the firm black balls that I usually suck up through my straw from other places. Errr that sounded weird.... But anyhoo, the milk tea was really good. I would come back again and order the banana smoothie with mochie that some of you yelpers here are saying is really good. I am also curious to try their shave ice. So yes, I would come back here again. I wish they were located somewhere more convenient. That's my only big complaint.

This place used to be the place I go to for my bubble tea, as it was right across the street from where I work. It also used to be pretty cheap. But over the years, they kept increasing their prices to be more competitive with other places serving $4-$5 smoothies and drinks. Although I don't come here as often anymore, I still like their bubble drinks. I'm not sure if they use powder or real tea, but it's good. The staff is very friendly, and always remembers me. They also have combo burger meals and shaved ice (Taiwanese-style, and local style). So even though they aren't the cheapest to buy bubble tea, they are pretty reasonable. You can find me here if I am ever in Mapunapuna.

On a hot ass day, order their watermelon juice and sit in the almost empty air conditioned warehouse and causally pay attention to the flat screen tv. There's really nothing else to do there but enjoy the watermelon juice and air conditioning.

Family business with the most delicious drinks that take you back to your childhood!! This is another one of those spots that my husband and I like to frequent during weekends, if we are errand-running and have time. Her usual: Watermelon juice with pearls His usual: Almond pearl tea, blended Such a refreshing summer treat!! So cute to go when the 2 sisters are working!!

Go to Bee or not to Bee that is the question. When was the bubble tea craze? I remember this bubble tea craze was all the rave, then all of the sudden the mystique of it dissappered and a lot of drink stores started closing down. However not all bubble tea places are lost, still standing strong at the 99 Ranch is Bee's Dessert House. This is like a sweet tooth fantasy with bubble teas, shave ice, ice cream (rosalani) smoothies and more. Definitely a dessert house with so much selections to choose from. Looking for a refreshing and satisfying drink, well this is the place to bee (get it?)

Boba tea place so close to my home! Awesome! With lots of great fruity flavors and bobas. I like to stop by here for some refueling and rehydrating after a long hike. Have to remember to bring cash. Parking not an issue at all.

Every since Boba Loca closed, Bee's has become my favorite bubble drink place. Located in 99 Ranch, this place is a must. If someone doesn't tell you about it, you probably would never find it. Mochi balls??? Yes, please. This is by far my favorite drink - strawberry/banana smoothie w/mochi balls. DELICIOUS! They also sell regular boba drinks, ice cream, shaved ice and some food. They have a variety of flavors that you'll love. The people that work there smile a lot but don't say much. Try it!!!

Yesssssssssssss my life is almost complete!! I finally had Taiwanese shaved ice. After my trip to Taiwan got cancelled, I was pretty bummed, even though it got replaced with one to visit other relatives in Hawaii. I ordered 2 because I couldn't make up my mind. Thinking back, I wish I should have ordered at least 5. OH WELL. I'll be back in the summer and you beeeessst believe I'm ordering 5 next time! I got the #1 which was basically my holy trinity. Azuki beans, vanilla ice cream, and condensed milk. Plus it comes with mochi, which is also part of the trinity, except it's not cause then it wouldn't be a trinity, and it'd be called quadripitstupid. BALLER. #2 was good, since it reminded me of some sweet green bean soup I ate as a kid. Is it called mung bean? Whatever, it ruled. Except for that strawberry ice cream, it tasted like artificial strawberry. Booooo get on that Breyer's jank please. Then it would have been more baller than #1. Wish I could have tried the ones with fruit. Darn. Knew I should have gotten 5 :(

Bee's serves the best bubble drinks ever. Their black/jasmine milk tea is the best I've ever tasted! Their taro/coconut blended tea w/ pearls is wonderful! They're very consistent in terms of quality and I've been coming here every week for a couple of years. The owners are super nice. I keep bringing friends and family here and they all love it!
